Preview for ENRG/Elfen lied
Kouta backs away slowly from the ursa as he covers Yuka, Nana and Mayu from the large beast. A Beowulf growls at Mayu causing Yuka to cover her from the monster while Nana readies her vectors at a death-stalker nearby. The beasts are ready to attack, Kouta curls his hand into a fist as the ursa makes its first move. It lunges towards him only to be sliced in half by something. The decapitated corpse falls besides him as he looks up to see a bullhead jet come in. Inside the jet is team ENRG and there new support member...giving Kouta a slight heart attack.
"Nyu...?" Kouta gasped as he remembered that she was killed. Ener leaps out of the bullhead alongside Ryka, Glades and Norris. Norris smashes his left hand into the ground causing a quake thus indirectly causing the beasts to trip from the shock. He activates his helmet with the glowing single optic blue this time. Lucy doesn't join in as she's backup for the team...that is until she notices Kouta. She leaps out of the jet while slicing a lunging Beowulf.
"Lucy, you know these people?" Ener asks as he avoids swipe from a theropod.
"...There my family." Lucy replied. The dicolnius lands in front of a Beowulf alpha who roars at Mayu causing Lucy to switch her submachine gun/hunting knife known as song of the elves and fires at its shoulder. The injured pack leader covers his wound as Lucy signals Mayu to leave, the alpha roars at Lucy.
"You just tried to harm my family..." Lucy gives a sinister smile.
"Prepare to die."
Shinji walks in the alley of Vale as its getting repaired. Its been centuries since he met Aqua and Asuka who was mentally weak cause she didn't see her potential in this plan all because her little brother was scared of her. Now that the shifter scare has died down, its time to strike back at the humans and they will never see him coming at all...all it takes is a master to give the order. Leaning on the wall is another shifter, ever since the great purge that ended the Faunus-human war, shifters have pretty much repopulated in Remnant though the bad part is that most of them are in other worlds. The shifter is a girl wearing pretty much traditional attire for someone who is from Vacuo, a short sleeve shirt and jeans.
"So you got word from Cinder?" She asks as she turns to him.
"Not yet but I can wait." Shinji replied to her while gets off of the wall and sighs that this has been a tremendous waste of time for her because she had to skip class.
"Dammit, Dad's going to kill me for this." The girl winced.
"Just tell him you had to run from the Grimm." He suggested though this might get her in trouble though.
"Nah, he can tell that someone is lying. He can also tell that Roman is bs-ing that this was plan to let the Grimm into the city..." She countered as both of there scrolls begin to ring causing them to put it on loud speaker.
"It appears you two are growing restless." Cinder noticed with Shinji giving off a scoff.
"We found them anyway, though you just go after Alison." Shinji intervenes.
"Why not Ener?" He asks.
"...Lets just say I kept a promise. Also Alison is willing to know more about herself so its best to go after her instead." The woman answered.
"Good luck." Cinder ended as Shinji turns off his scroll.
"Everything is unraveling nicely..."
Years ago 3:00.
An eleven year old Ener is looking outside of the classroom while ignoring the English teacher who telling the story of the legendary Grimm shifter knights or at least mythical for some reason because there was no evidence of them but there story has been adapted into many plays and movies. Years ago, Grimm shifters were breeding like hostile rabbits and no one knew why, hell even a female shifter can get another woman pregnant for some weird reason! Though its likely to involve magic or there aura can affect human biology as some kind of wish making for the breeder. Ener listens to the story that spawned throughout generations.
"The knights were led by Grimlock, a former tribesman from the Southern tribes of what is now Vacuo. You see, Grimlock was amongst his tribe to be infected with the shifter virus though unlike others, they welcomed Grimlock's ability though despite being savage...he wanted to help others in there need and left. Soon Grimlock gave up his tribal attire in exchange of a knight one which was accustomed to society..." Ener knew about the knights of Grimm, after Grimlock took up his attire, he found another Grimm shifter named Scorn then a fox-Faunus named Ahri who was a shifter too, soon there was Darius of the house of Schnee (unknown if he was real because Schnee erased him for some reason) though there was two knights but its unknown who are there names. The final knight was a female of yet again an unknown name but was called the one who's name means water.
Ener looks at the book to reveal the knights in there armor. Grimlock's armor is slightly gold and the helmet has a jaw frame on it with two sharp fins on the head, he also has a cape too. His helmet covers his eyes as the visors are black. His main weapon is a large mace/staff. Ahri is a bit of the shortest, her armor is green and is armed with dual daggers. Besides Ahri is Scorn who's armor is red and wields an axe. The two beside them are just silhouettes while the one who's name means water's armor resembles both a knight and samurai armor and wields a giant sword.
Blake on the other who is sitting beside him isn't interested in this fairytail that her childhood friend aspires to be like someday. She's thinking of something else, its equality. The class bell rings thus signaling the end of last period so its best to leave class now. They head outside and walk alone like usual with Ener almost tripping on a gap but Blake catches him.
"Anyway, so what are you doing this week?" Ener asks Blake who snaps out of her thoughts.
"Oh...well, stuff..." Blake replied while scratching the back of her head.
"Something's bothering you isn't it?" He replied while looking serious. Sometime he wished Blake would stay away from him, its not because he doesn't like her but its because white-fang members go after the children of huntsman to break there enemies emotionally and if Blake got involved then it would be worse cause Adam is a huntsman though might be safe cause Ener trusts Adam more than ever. He often visited Ener and his mother though telling by her tone, its resentment and suspicion for some odd reason.
"It...okay, I'm admit this. I want to stop Faunus discrimination." The cat Faunus bluntly stated as Ener would pretty much be the only person who she'd talk to about this matter how serious this sounds.
"I thought you always wanted to so why tell me now?" Ener asked.
"As in I want to help them. Like be apart of the work effort...I can't stand seeing Faunus getting treated like dirt by humans scum-" Blake realizes she's talking in front of Ener who IS a human.
"Treated like dirt." She ended with embarrassment. Ener doesn't know what to say about this but he takes a deep breath after remembering what Pyrrha Nikos said to him.
"If you want to do it then don't talk about it...just do it. Its not just going to come true to you like magic, one must have the courage to make it come true." Ener said as Blake is a little stunned by it.
"Who told you that? Another huntsman?" Blake asked.
"No, just another friend who I had met in Mistral during my vacation." Ener answered with Blake wanting to kill the mood right now as she looks around the place...cherry blossoms. She spots cherry blossoms parting away.
"Okay then...lets forget about the white fang thing." Blake looks at the nearly dying trees as winter is coming.
"Five centimeters per second..." She mumbled while Ener raises his eyebrow.
"That's the falling speed of a leaf. They always fall together no matter what...kinda represents us at times." Blake added.
"How?" Ener asked.
"Well, we're always there for each other and even if those thing we do never work, we both face the consequences." She explained. Blake's right, there a team and maybe this can be the start of something new for them.
"And why did you say that?" The young Goodwitch asked.
"...Because there's an ice cream truck nearby and I wanted to distract you." Blake explained with haste right before speeding off with Ener on her tail.
"Looser gets to buy me an extra scoop!" The Faunus betted as Ener is on her tail while they run down the steps. Due to the fact she's ahead of him, she can beat him without even trying causing her to laugh at the thought...that is until Ener decides to slide on the railings.
"Woohoo!" Ener howled while sliding. He laughs at the thought of victory...only to see Blake doing the same thing as he is doing. The boy increases the speed of the slide while Blake does the same. The two have mischievous smiles on them because of the thought of the looser. Unknowingly they're going at the same speed rate now causing them to get launched into the ice cream truck causing the driver to panic at the force. Blake realizes the force only bounced them back slightly and slowly gets up while wobbling as the 2001 space odyssey main theme is playing in her head right now...she is about to place her hand on the desk of the ice cream man...
They're hands both touch the counter as Blake turns to see Ener.
"Uh...no loser's I guess?" Ener stuttered while heavily breathing. The two order a neopolitan ice cream right before leaving to head out into there neighborhood which is Junction avenue. They lived there since they were kids though Blake lives in the first house while Ener lives in the third.
"So anyway, what's it like to live with a huntress?" Blake asks Ener who is licking his ice cream.
"Oh, its no different from ordinary life though she mainly comes in at night."
"Then who watches over you?" She asks.
"Eh, Mr. Ozpin who make sure I do my work, take a bath or clean my room." He answered while Blake pulls out her key to her house.
"Well, see you tomorrow Ener." Blake replied while opening the door to her house.
"Yeah. You too." Ener walks away while thinking of how far they went after the white-fang incident where he almost got killed there. He knew this partnership would last a long time, he just knew it. Ener pulls out his key and opens the door to his house to see his mother.
"Mom...?" He confusingly asked as she will always be home late.
"Oh, I'm here because something happened to Aunt Cinder and I need to be with her." She replied with a saddened tone.
"Okay..." Ener replied as he puts down his book bag. The day goes by regularly. Ener does his homework and studies for this exams while Glynda makes a meal for him and other stuff. Then they have a quiet dinner cause Ener always feels like his mother is just a stranger though she just asks questions like how was school or how's Blake though she did joke once that she wants Ener to marry her someday when he's older and no exceptions besides Pyrrha. Telling by Glynda's eyes, there's concern for someone she knows is in great distress now. Also by the body language, she's about to tell Ener something as she clears out her throat.
"Ener...aunt Cinder is coming here today." Glynda stated.
"Why?" Ener asks as this is very unexpected.
"Something happened to aunt Cinder and she needs my support so she might stay here for a couple of days." The huntress replied.
"What happened?" He asks.
"...Ener, you have a cousin though you haven't met her yet..." Glynda said while Ener is shocked about this because he didn't know he has a cousin.
"And your cousin...your cousin got kidnapped by uncle Adam." Ener's eyes turn wide and shakes his head in disbelief while finishing his meal. Adam was always kind and he's a huntsman too! A huntsman can't just do those horrible things!
"Ener, I know this sounds impossible but Adam was an undercover member of the white fang and used us to gain his trust this whole time even in your childhood..." Glynda explained with a tone of anger in her voice. Ener gets up from his table and goes to his room as Glynda needs to leave him alone for now. He opens the door of his room and turns to the portrait of Adam and him when Glynda went to Atlas. He trained with him. He looked up to him...and now he just throws it all away for a cause that lost its meaning years ago. Ener picks up the portrait and throws it out the window right before landing on his bed and covering his face with a pillow. For years, Adam was his best friend and sometimes a bit of a father to him. Its his first time experiencing betrayal at this age...a pebble is heard getting thrown at the right side of the window causing Ener to turn. He looks outside to see a pair of glowing yellows eyes looking at him on a tree.
The boy is starting to get scared now but the figure reveals herself to be Blake.
"Don't scare me like that! I was close to calling my Mom on you!" Ener yelled at her while Blake leaps towards the window.
"There's a front door you know." He crankily said with Blake noticing the tone of his voice.
"I just want to crash in for the moment, plus what's going on?" She asks.
"Nothing." Ener bluntly replied while Blake is unimpressed.
"Come on, its something. I just saw you throw a portrait of you and your uncle at my house...you must be really good at tossing." Blake observed as Ener is blushingly wildly now.
"Tossing stuff...or things..." She assured at the definition of tossing while Ener sighs.
"Have you ever been betrayed in your life before?" Ener asks.
"No?" Blake replied.
"Well...you know my uncle right? Adam Taurus?"
"Yeah, you brag about him all the time in school."
"Sorry but Adam...Adam and the white fang kidnapped my cousin. No ransom too and my aunt is now emotionally destroyed by this." Ener answered with the hair of Blake shadowing her eyes.
"He's my uncle for Gods sake and he just takes that trust like uncle Roman and just throws it away like it was nothing..." He continued. First Roman then Adam, Ener's life has always been the constant interplay of tragedy and comedy. They start out happy but it ends in betrayal and he wouldn't be surprised his Mom would turn on him and probably Mr. Ozpin too.
"Your lying..." Blake growled thus ending her silence.
"Excuse me?"
"YOUR LYING! We would never do that!" She yelled at Ener.
"Then who did it then!? The white fang lost there way!" Ener spat back at Blake.
"We didn't! We're trying to bring equality!"
"Out of fear! Remember what happened last time!?" It was then Blake pushed down Ener against the wall with Glynda hearing it.
"Ener, what's going on in there?" Glynda asks with her voice muffled.
"Just talking to Blake on the phone Mom and I fell off my bed" Ener explained while getting up with a very angry look on Blake now.
"What's gone wrong with you Blake? Each time the white fang does something questionable and we argue about it, it always leads to you pushing me down or threatening to punch." Ener asks Blake with a worried tone.
"Its because you antagonize the white fang 24/7! They're nothing but misunderstood Faunus and I'm one of them!" Blake replied. Little do they know that Glynda is heading up to his room.
"Are you accusing me for something?" Ener furiously asks.
"No I'm not. I'm telling you that you should know the different between your enemies and your friends!" Blake angrily answered while Ener bows his head down in shame right now. That sentence is like poison to him because he pretty much made enemies which is his family.
"Well I can't tell the difference anymore! My two uncle's backstabbed me and the only ones left are my aunt, my Mom and Mr. Ozpin! So don't tell me that difference of an enemy and friend when I can't trust anyone anymore besides the person who brought me into this world, the other who is pretty much my other best friend and the one who's the closest thing to a father I have!" Ener yelled while Glynda overhears the conversation. Blake backs away from his outburst as his eyes are a little beastly. Ener huffs heavily while low on breath a little.
"I'm sorry...I-I just can't tell anymore." Ener apologized as Blake gives him hug with him patting the Faunus in the back. Blake lets go of Ener.
"Well, try not to assume quickly. Anyway, I need to go." Blake goes the window and jumps off thus leaving the boy alone.
Present.
Ener looks at the surgery being done to Norris. He didn't expect this to happen neither expected Norris to get injured though he's surprised that he isn't numb to this. Beside him is Velvet who is touching the window while holding back the tears in her eyes as Yatsuhashi touches her in the shoulder. The rest of team CFVY didn't trust Norris even Fox who Norris knew since he was a kid.
"Come on stay with me..." Velvet muttered while Chelsea is watching her. Chelsea scans Velvet and detects emotional stress.
"It is okay to cry. Crying is a natural response to specific subjects." Chelsea explained.
"If you suppress it then it will lead to more emotional distress." She continued.
"Are you talking to me?" Velvet asks as she points her finger towards herself. Chelsea nods at Velvet.
"Indeed I am, would you like a hug-" Velvet hugs Chelsea who returns it. The robot is shocked but soon smiles then returns it though her smile is a sad one though. Chelsea gives off a single tear in her eye.
"There, there." Chelsea comforted while patting Velvet in the back. Ener smiles at the sight of Chelsea only for professor Ozpin to tap him on the shoulder.
"Ener, I need to have a word with you."
Interrogation room.
Ener sits in front of Ozpin while sighing with Ironwood entering. He has a very concerned expression on his face, little does he know that there's an extra guest coming. The room gives an unwelcoming tone to Ener as Ironwood sits in front of him, the door behind the general opens to reveal Glynda. The boy is controlling his fear now, Glynda leans against the wall.
"Tell me Ener, where have you been?" Ironwood asks with Glynda giving a scowl at the boy.
"I went for a walk in the fields..." Ener answered though Ironwood doesn't seem convinced telling by his face.
"And which part of the fields?" He continued while Ener is trying to keep his cool and look angry because Cinder told him that anger can get him out of questioning because the questioners can tell if someone is innocent when the subject is angry thus giving a sign of irritation that they have been wrongly accused.
"The fields, I just wanted to walk around that's all." Ener replied with irritation as Ironwood squints at him.
"Do you know any knowledge of an abandoned research facility that involved researching Grimm?" Ironwood asks as Ener "sighs" irritably.
"No, I do not." Ener answered while struggling to feign anger.
"Do you know Aqua Megumi?" Ozpin asks thus breaking the streak of convincement Ener was having. Ener turns to Ozpin while trying to make his body language look confused.
"As memory serves, she was in Beacon weeks ago right before leaving. She was also under employment of the Grimm cult to find you but somehow the deal went wrong and now she wants to prepare you to fight whatever great threat is looming." Ozpin stated while Ener's blood dies down as he saw what was behind the boy inside the mask he was wearing.
"I...I don't know what-"
"Ener, Aqua is a dangerous Grimm shifter and I know you wish to know more about yourself and that is good. But she is the wrong source of information." Ozpin continued.
"Yes, she's a mercenary and is responsible for numerous assassinations." Ironwood agreed as his eyes are aimed at Ozpin then to Ener.
"Which makes you a prime suspect because she had associations with Cinder Fall, your aunt right?" Ener bows his head down in shame as he remembered how she turned insane by then.
Years ago 9:00PM.
Ener is busy writing on his notebook after having a chat with Blake though it continued on the phone but they managed to makeup. On his notebook is a drawing of EVA unit 01 which belongs to his favorite TV show called neon genesis evangelion. A doorbell ring is heard as Ener looks outside to the hall, Glynda opens the door to reveal Cinder who has a calm face on her though there's loss in her eyes. Glynda hugs Cinder with the woman returning it.
"Whatever you need, just ask me. I'm sorry for your loss."
"Okay...so where's Ener?" Cinder asks as Ener heads out of his room with the woman hugging him. Glynda heads outside of the house to her friends luggage. Cinder heads to the guest room as she knows the house like the back of her hand.
"So how was school?" She asks him.
"Oh doing fine besides the fact Blake try to race me to get ice cream on the railing." Ener replied as Cinder's eyes turn wide. She kind of dislikes Blake a little due to her antics with Ener. Cinder grabs Ener's arm.
"Does anything hurt?" Cinder asks with Ener letting go.
"No cause I had a soft landing." Ener replied as he sighed.
"You know that Blake girl is gonna get you in trouble someday." Cinder huffed. She met the two rough housing in the playground and even heard stories of what they do at times. The woman places her finger on her lip and smiles.
"Though I have to admit, she might be a good wife for you." She suggested causing Ener to blush again and shakes his head.
"Its not like that plus I'm too young to date." Ener countered while turning his head to hide his blush.
"Oh, waiting until your sixteen huh?~" The huntress flirted.
"N-No...maybe yes?" He thought about dating Blake though it would pretty much be the same thing as before.
"Come on En, your windows closing."
"Just unpack already..." Ener leaves his aunt while unpacks her stuff. He heads to his room and falls asleep after a good day ending a little bit off track.
Next morning.
Ener wakes up on his bed after a pleasant nap that put an end of the bad day, good thing its the weekend though. He wonders what Blake is up to now but its either reading books or doing another protest and boycott. Its been a month since the original leader of the white fang stepped down and there protests end in rioting or destruction of public property which makes the situation of the Faunus worse, there giving them a bad image. He heads outside to see Cinder eating her breakfast though very little of it. Her eyes are pretty much tired which shows signs of crying.
"You alright?" Ener asks his aunt causing her to snap out of her mourning.
"Yes, I am." Cinder replied as she went back to eating.
"Your Mom left early." She notified as Ener nods to get his breakfast while texting Blake from his scroll to inform her of what just happened. She might be coming here to visit. Back then Blake acted like herself though a mixture of Yang too in terms of recklessness. The doorbell rings as Ener goes to answer it, he opens it to reveal Summer Rose.
"Hello Ener, is Cinder here?" Summer asks. Its been years since she met the huntress and according to the stories, Summer is one of the best huntsman of Remnant. He did meet her daughters once though, only as babies.
"Yes...who are you?" Ener asks because he doesn't remember Summer.
"Oh, I'm quite sure you forgot about me. I'm Summer Rose." She introduced herself with a smile. The woman gives off a motherly feeling and...trust. Trust has always been Ener's hated word at times.
"Well its nice to meet you again." Ener replied while feigning recognition but Summer sees through his ruse as Ener can tell. Summer enters the house and looks to Cinder. Summer walks to Cinder and gives her a comforting hug.
"Don't worry, we'll find your daughter and that traitor." Summer assured with Cinder nodding in agreement. The day goes by normally but the dark and heavy atmosphere brought upon by Cinder bothers Ener though. He gets up from the couch after watching some achievement hunter and heads to his room. Ener looks outside to see that its raining and sighs because him and Blake were going to go watch that Mockingjay movie starring Remnant's favorite star: Kat Lawrence. Though Blake did text him that she needs help in a certain video game known as Destiny. The boy enters his room and turns on his console while rubbing his eye then getting the mic.
The screen starts up and opens to the menu to reveal Ener has a list of games already. He chooses Destiny, he manages to log in and contact Blake in his friends list. Her username is Ninja_catRT16 while his is Agent_Venom12512. The screen appears to show Ener's spaceship known as the darkhawk.
"Hey Blake, you there?" Ener asks as a mic is heard getting put on.
"Yep. Lets go." The two deploy on the mission area. Apparently Blake doesn't seem to be that experience with RPG's so is Ener too and the word raid doesn't go over there heads.
"Wait...shouldn't we be doing this with more than two people?" Ener asks.
"I don't know. I just want to the gear." Blake replied as enemy forces close in on the two. In short, the whole mission is a disaster as Blake runs away while Ener fends for himself. Ener fires his hand-cannon wildly at incoming forces while Blake is just spamming energy blasts at them.
"HOLY CRAP!" Ener cried while shooting.
"How about we leave..." The Faunus suggested as he agreed. As they leave, Ener has been itching a question for Blake though she might not like it.
"Hey, have you ever lost someone you didn't know?" He asks.
"Why ask? Cousin?" She replied.
"Yeah that...despite not knowing that person but heard of him or her, do you want them back?" Ener continued.
"Well if I heard good things about them then of course. Ener, she's your cousin and your suppose to be worried about her. She's family after all." Blake replied as Ener nodded.
"Oh what am I saying? I guess I drifted off in my head." Ener chuckled. After playing missions and fooling around with people, Blake decides to log off after saying she has something to do with the white fang. Ener heads outside of his room to see Summer sleeping on the couch. On the table is a note from Cinder reading "Gone off to the store, be right back." He looks around the living room, a grumbling is heard in his stomach and goes to the fridge. Ener opens it to reveal an assortment of foods and other treats he'll like. None of them interest the boy and he opens the top part...something drops from it and hits Ener on the head. It looks like it was on top of the fridge for some reason.
Its a file folder. Ener picks it up as it says property of Cinder Fall and he doesn't want to get in his aunts business but a file slides out of it. He picks up the file but sees his name on it then opens it.
The ultima's tomb can only be opened by a legendary knight of Grimm or a Grimm shifter who was conceived born of a human and another shifter.
He knew about the ultima Grimm, a large dragon-like deity that was worshipped by tribes. But he didn't know how its tomb can be opened nor it even existed! It is said the legendary knights of Grimm sealed it away and entombed themselves to guard it. He opens the rest of the file as he looks at the details...when the ultima is unleashed, all hell will break loose in Remnant thus causing the kingdoms to disunite as its human nature to care about oneself. She's going to unleash the monster if her daughter isn't taken back...and Ener is the key to opening the tomb. Or is it?
Ener steps back and rushes to his room and locks the door. He pulls out his scroll to contact Mr. Ozpin and his mother. If Cinder unleashes her plan then all of the kingdoms will burn. Unfortunately, there's no answer at all from either of them.
"Crap!" He walks back and fourth while trying to figure out what to do...Ener realizes that Summer is in her house, a huntress! He curses himself for not realizing that and opens the door and runs to the living room.
"Summer! Summer!" Ener called as she wakes up.
"W-Wha?" She asks while rubbing her eyes and yawning. Ener hands her the document as she reads it causing her eyes to widen.
"Get dressed quickly!" Summer ordered as Ener runs off to his room. He puts on his jeans, red shirt and a sage jacket then his sneakers. He sends a text message to Blake about the situation but says something bad happened and heading somewhere temporarily.
"What's going on?" Ener asks as he gets out of the room with Summer getting her scythe/assault rifle ready.
"Okay, we're heading towards the woods alright? I have friend named Connie there to hide you."
"Hide me? What do you mean hide me!?" He cried but Summer takes him by the hand and they both head outside to Summer's car. She activates her key to unlock the car doors and they both enter the vehicle with Ener on the passenger seat. Summer starts up the car and they drive off. Ener doesn't know what's happening at all. He just discovered a nefarious plan and Summer just takes him like he was a HVI. The drive's atmosphere is filled with confusion brought upon by Ener and urgency with Summer. Snow is starting to appear on the windshield as they head up north where its particularly colder and snow is starting to drop on the windshield. They go off road where Connie is.
"What are you doing!?" Ener yelled at Summer.
"Taking a shortcut!" Summer replied while swerving. It was something shot the tires of the car causing it to drag and flip over into the cliff land. The huntress grabs Ener while the car is tumbling and the two head out as the car falls into the ground. Ener gets up and shakes his head while Summer helps him up.
"Its not too far from here, lets go!" She roared and grabs Ener's hand but is stopped by Cinder who is standing in front of them.
"Crap..." Summer hissed as Ener goes behind her.
"I'm not after Ener, Summer." Cinder stated with the huntress readying her weapon.
"Ener, run as fast as you can!" Ener nods at Summer and runs away from the ensuing fight only to be knocked out by a grey haired boy who comes out of the woods. A horde of beowulves here the commotion as Ener crawls but they somehow ignore him. Summer swings her weapon at Cinder only for the woman to backflip and summon a dust bow and arrow then shoots Summer but she blocks the attack. She raises her weapon and twirls it while it fires at the beasts so she can fight Cinder only without distractions. Cinder summons dual swords and dashes towards Summer who moves to left to swing her weapon again but Cinder leaps over it and kicks Summer in the face.
Meanwhile, Ener crawls behind a tree to avoid the fighting while the gray-haired boy retreats. He texts his Mom for help and breathes heavily in fear. Ener puts away his scroll and goes to the car so he can find a weapon. Summer on the other hand is fending off Cinder as she fires her weapon at her. Ener finally finds a weapon inside the car, its a mix between a C96 Mauser and katana's. They are labeled ultra and violence. He gulps and remembers what Adam and Pyrrha taught him.
"Draw them both like wings and fly..." Ener draws them both and runs towards Cinder. Cinder is about to strike the final blow to Summer only for Ener to swing ultra at Cinder but misses and almost runs into Summer who was about to be pushed off of a cliff. Cinder gets up again but Ener switches violence into Mauser form and shoots her shoulder.
"Ener, where did you find that!?" Summer asks.
"In the trunk!" Ener leads the way as Summer follows him...only for Cinder to launch a fire blast at Summer which pushes her off of the cliff. She launches another one which burns the sleeve of Ener causing him to take off of his jacket and exposing him to the cold. The cold is too much for the boy as he can't move at all, he falls on the ground while shivering.
"I...Ener..." Cinder draws her swords at him while he struggles to get up.
"I hope one day you'll understand...perhaps you'll even find it in your heart to forgive me..." She sorrowfully said.
"Aunt Cinder...don't do this! We're family!" Ener pleaded.
"I know we are and...and that will never change. Goodbye." Cinder replied as she turns and leaves after deciding not to kidnap Ener. Death was close to Ener now and he could feel its cold embrace. A slow and painful one too...it was then something picked up him in a bridal position as he hears Cinder's cries of anger at the figure but everything is muffled.
"Stay away from him!" She roared as the figure who is carrying Ener runs into the forest. Ener can hear the roadside and police moving and drops him off, he slowly turns his head to see his childhood hero...uncle Adam.
Present.
"I'm telling you, I'm not involved with Cinder at all! She never talked to me!" Ener answered at Ironwood who has his jacket off because they've been in the room for 18 hours straight. Ozpin is sipping his coffee while Glynda has left.
"If so then why have you been having training sessions with Aqua, her former lover?" Ironwood asks.
"She...before I got expelled off of Beacon, Aqua decided to let me learn about myself even more."
"And you trusted a mercenary?" Ozpin asks.
"No...but I learned more about her also. That's all..." Ener answered with a sincere face. Ironwood puts on his jacket.
"I know you aren't guilty of anything but Cinder might be after you now. So I'm afraid to put you under temporary house arrest." Ironwood decided causing Ener's eyes to widen.
"Once the situation winds down then it'll be lifted." The general leaves the room as Ener hangs his head in shame. This has got to be the worst day of his entire life though Ozpin has other ideas.
"Ener, though you acted reckless and rather brash when you decided to bring your own version of justice..." He gets up and circles Ener.
"I am willing to give your team a second back into Beacon after this incident."
Hospital.
Norris wakes up on his bed to see Chelsea and Velvet who has fallen asleep. He lifts himself with his left arm and realizes that something is holding the stump causing him to turn to see a prosthetic one. It looks exactly like his arm except the plating is metal and lines can be seen on it which can show its a replacement one. He lifts it and opens his hand right before closing it.
"You have been knocked out for 18 hours." Chelsea notified. Norris tries to off of his bed.
"You are shell-shocked thus slightly immobilizing your movement." The robot notified again causing Norris to lay on his bed.
"Can you wake up Velvet?" He asks as Chelsea nodded. Chelsea shakes Velvet. The rabbit Faunus wakes up to see Norris, she begins to tear up and hugs him.
"Oh thank God your alive!" Velvet cried. She releases herself from Norris as his prosthetic hand touches her face. Due to the fact its twenty years ahead of current Remnant technology, it has sensors to help let the subject feel an object or a person like a real arm.
"Yeah, I took a debris to the arm. Guess I thought I was an action hero so I decided to plant a bomb inside the havoc..." Norris chuckled slightly only for Velvet to slap him. The shock was sudden to him and he slowly turns his head with her hair shadowing her eyes right before looking up.
"Don't ever do that again!" She said with Norris nodding.
"Sorry...hey, I think shell-shock is wearing off." He gets up from his bed. Norris is wearing a typical white shirt and white pajama pants.
"That was quick..." Velvet observed on his Norris healed quickly.
"Warning: Injuries still present but...strangely minor." Chelsea added also with her eyebrow raised.
"Oh yeah, my semblance is electricity and I control it via technology around me. Bad part is that it dries out my batteries so that's why I use my gadgets a lot. It also gives me a bit of an adrenaline rush and serves as makeshift painkillers for me thus explaining my quick healing and pain tolerance." Norris explained as Velvet's jaws dropped.
"Why didn't you tell this to anybody?" She asks.
"Well, I wouldn't be qualified for Beacon if I can't control my semblance properly at times." Norris replied as he opens the door of his room so he can go eat some lunch.
General Ironwood's office.
Ryka sits in front of the general as she was called after the battle of Vale. So far the coma pretty much let her discover her past and everything else made her realize that she isn't like her mother at all. Not one bit. Beside her is Ozpin, her legal guardian.
"Ryka, I'm here to inform you that your association with Cinder Fall and Aqua Megumi have landed you...under house arrest." Her eyes widen because it was very quick of him to say that. Ozpin gets up.
"James-"
"I'm very sorry Ozpin but her and Ener are connected to her and she'll be using them. Once the situation has died down-"
"The arrest will be lifted. I get it." Ozpin ended and sighs.
"Come on Ryka, we're leaving." The super-soldier sighs and gets up as they walk away from Ironwood.
Hotel
Glades puts wolfs bane back into its suitcase after the whole fight against the Grimm beasts. She received a call from home saying that they might be moving into Vale because the process of taking back her homeland is a little slow. The hotel wouldn't be enough for her so she'll need a friends home to stay in. Her scroll begins to ring and she picks it.
"Hello?" She answered.
"Hey Glades, its me Ryka...I..." Sighing is heard with Glades raising her eyebrows.
"What happened?" Glades asks.
"I...I'm under house arrest." Ryka answered.
"For what?" The girl asks as Ryka is innocent.
"Its because I'm a suspect and stuff which means Cinder who I discovered is my mother might come after me and all. So where are you staying at?" Ryka asks.
"In a hotel though I might stay over at another place. Maybe yours?" Glades replied.
"Try Norris cause his house is awesome looking! Its like a fuse between minimalist and upper class!" The girl suggest with Glades chuckling.
"Whatever you say so house reviewer. See you." Glades turns off her phone and gets her luggage right before texting Norris if she can stay at his place. She sits on the bed while reflecting on her quest to find her younger brother and all. If he still remembers himself for who he is. Her scroll vibrates and she takes a look. The house identification code is B4NG13 and he informed his mother staying over at his place as long as there is no hanky panky or whoopee going on between them. Glades gets up from her bed and opens the door.
In front of her is Kiril who aims his assault rifle at her. Glades gets out of the line of fire as she hears erratic radio chatter in his headphone from the white fang.
"What are you doing!?" Adam yelled on the radio as Kiril was going to be killing the owner of the Schnee dust company who is inside the hotel.
"Completing my mission!" Kiril yelled as he throws away the radio. He switches to his pistol only for Glades to catch him by the arm and slam her head into his right before kicking him into the wall. Glades is about to punch Kiril but he gets out of the way and uses his pistol again and fires it again but misses Glades who kicks the gun away from him. Kiril pulls out his knife and tries to stab Glades but she blocks the thrust with her arm and karate chops his neck. Glades then kicks Kiril in the stomach which sends him knocking down on the ground with hotel security coming. He gets up while irritated.
"I'll find out who you are someday!" The assassin roared.
"I'm your sister!"
"No, your a liar!" He throws a flashbang on the ground thus making his escape.
Goodwitch residence.
Ener is laying on his bed after the little confrontation he had with general Ironwood who placed him under house arrest. It seems things have gotten worse since he got expelled from Beacon and still curses himself till this day. He hears a tap on his window and turns to see Blake who is on the ledge. Ener opens the window as Blake gets inside.
"There's a thing called the front door you know." Ener sighed.
"Sorry but I like to go in style."
"And make it look like a splinter cell rip off? What are you doing here anyway?" He asks.
"I heard what happened, that's all but Ener...I came here to say you were right." Blake replied while scratching the back of her head. She was just a young youthful optimist back then.
"About the white fang?"
"Yes. Everything about them but my devotion just blinded me and all...I'm sorry." The Faunus apologized.
"Hey, that was in the past so just let it go. We had different mind sets back, it makes sense." Ener replied while touching Blake's shoulder.
"That and also...you forgot something too." She pulls out something from her bag to reveal a present.
"Consider this a late birthday present." The boy takes the gift and opens it. Its a book, his favorite one after all. The title is called a song of fire and ice.
"Wow...thanks Blake." Ener thanked as Blake nodded. She heads to the window.
"See you around En, hey I was thinking we should hang out somewhere. Watch a movie?"
"House arrest remember?"
"Oh...well see you around. We'll try to visit." Blake leaves as Ener is left smiling.
Medieval Remnant.
Aqua slowly opens her eyes after being knocked out. He looks up to see a tall figure accompanied by many other armored figures behind him. She is about to transform into a Grimm beast but the armored knight stops her.
"You are in the company of friends, do not fight." He ordered as he removes his helmet to reveal he has black hair and a large scar on his eye.
"I am Grimlock."
Beacon.
Cinder is busy looking at the view of Beacon while Emerald is busy doing work and Mercury is leaning against the wall.
"So did Shinji find her yet?" Emerald asks.
"He did but it'll take time for her to accept the truth." Cinder replied.
"Why can't we get Ener? I mean, we can just ditch her and take him instead to open the tomb." The green haired girl asks.
"But what about him?" The woman asks.
"But what about Ener? He won't be cooperative when we tell him about our plan." Mercury said.
"Don't worry...there twins. We'll have a lot of second chances."
