BONOUS CHAPTER 2...Life with Lydia

" 06," heavier Mori's lawyer read out loud. "KAname Kuran is not allowed to take in a mistress during his marriage to Lydia Mori, and if anytime either miss Mori or any members of her family feels like Lord Kaname is being unfaithful, Miss Mori can file for divorce."

The remaining members in the conference room patiently listened. It was a very private discussion going on at the senate. The only people present there were Havier Mori with his lawyer. Asoto Ichijo, the head of the vampire council and chief advisor to the royal family. Then the reset were the members of the Kuran family which included Kaname Kuran, his parents Juri and Haruka Kuran and his uncle and aunt Rido Kuran and Shizuka Hio Kuran.

All patiently listened as the lawyer representing lord Mori went on with the term and conditions with the marriage proposal that Kaname Kaname Kuran offered.

"Number 07, in divorce settlement miss Lydia Mori is to receive 50% share of Kaname Kuran's net worth, with or without children."

All the members of the Kuran family tensed. Rido Kuran ended up coughing.

"08, if there is children involved their custody will fully go to either Kaname Kuran or the Kuran family. And miss Lydia would be allowed to visit her children or to keep them with her for as long as she wishes. In case Kaname Kuran wishe to remarry he must choose his next bride wisely making sure not to cause discomfort to miss Lydia when she visits her children."

This time Rido Kuran coughed louder signalling his nephew that he will be doomed for eternity if he sings this wedding prenup.

"09, If by any chance miss Lydia wishes to take full custody of her children, in that case Kaname Kuran has to pay in cash for his children's expenses every month."

Juri and Ichio were the ones that squeezed their eyebrows. Rido Kuran smirked and so did Shizuka Hio noticing that the fall of Kuran clan is not far away. Haruka Kuran remained deep in thought and Kaname Kuran just listened with determination.

"10, if Lydia Mori wishes to remarry Kaname Kuran by no chance can oppose. She is free to choose her own partner."

"Now if you have no problem with the terms and conditions please sing over here Lord Kaname." The lawyer spoke walking over to the Kuran prince and placing the document before.

"Lord Kaname is not singing anywhere." Ichio declared placing a hand over Kaname's shoulder. "This prenup is unfair. There is no fair settlement. Certain things needs to be changed."

"I am not changing a single word." Havier Mori spoke calmly while a smug smile spread across his face. "I have no problem is son of Kuran does not wish to sign the prenup. He will simply not get my Lydia."

"May I ask Havier?" This time it was Juri that spoke up. "Why are you putting us into this? If from the very beginning you are not willing to let you daughter marry into the Kuran family."

"I have never said such a thing Juri," Haveir Mori replied smirking. "It is just that your san has pretty bad record with ladies in court. He has never been with someone over two years, many at time he two timed with members in the same family. And not only that, he did not spare my daughter either."

Havier Mori's smirk widen as Kaname narrowed his eyes at him.

"Tell me Kaname, why did Lydia try to commit suicide? Were you responsible for that reckless action of hers?"

Kaname only remained silent.

"My daughter told me everything that you tried to do to her. and for that very reason I am just assuring her safety." The smirk did not lessen from lord Mori's face. "If you have problem please tell me because neither me nor my daughter really needs you Kaname."

"Very well it is settled then." Ichio declared thinking that Kaname rejected the offer only to have the Kuran prince speak up next and ruin everything.

"Where do I have to sign?"

"Over here." The lawyer spoke handing him the pen. "And initials over here."

"Well then," Havier Mori spoke up forwarding his hand towards Kaname for a shake. "Welcome to the family son in law." Kaname shook his hand.

From what everyone could see it looked exactly like a business deal that has just been accomplished.

Ad at moment the door to the conference room burst opened and Lydia was the one that stormed in. the young girl was momentarily frozen to see her father and Kaname shaking hands and then she had it all figured out.

Lydia was an intelligent girl it did not take her long enough to her stand that she was just sold by er father and bought by that asshole Kuran prince.

"How could you do this to me?" Lydia asked with teary eyes. "What am I to you? Your business deal? What kind of a father are you, selling me off to him." She pointed at Kaname.

"He will be a good husband to you, I made sure of that baby girl."

"I hate you…I hate you Papa and you." She spat venomously turning towards Kaname. "If you marry me , I will make sure to destroy you and your whole damn family."

With the she turned on her heels and stormed out of the room.

"Trouble." Coughed Rido.

"Kaname…" the said person turned hearing a very familiar voice that belonged to his soon to be wife.

"Lydia…what can I do for you?" Kaname spoke kindly gesturing her to take a seat in his office.

"I am here to talk, shall we go to your bedroom."

This time entering his bed chamber Kaname left the door opened but it was Lydia who closed it shocking Kaname a bit. Then she led him towards his bed and gently pushed him. Kanamed watched with widen eyes as she slowly and teasingly disrobed herself and joined Kaname on the bed.

"Lydia?" He was shocked.

"What did you not want this from the very beginning?"

Kaname wanted to protest but became silent as she took his hand and paced them over her waist.

"I will warm your bed tonight," she told him. "Only if you tell me father and cancel this wedding."

"Lydia?"

"Kaname as long as I am here I will serve you every night, I am giving you my word. Please Kaname I cannot marry. Trust me I am trying to help you, my father is putting you and the whole Kuran family up for a big trap."

"Lydia…" he sighed lustfully as Lydia pushed herself more into him.

"I will back you up all you have to do is terminate this contract and back out of this marriage contract. Please Kaname…and in return I shall serve you any way you want."

He could tell from her voice that she was desperate. Kaname quickly switched them making him on top of her. Lydia thought that was the way he wanted it but it shocked her when he back away and got off the bed.

"Forgive me Lydia…but I will do no such thing."

"Why?" she asked him holding her sob. He remained silent he did not know what answer to give.

"You are making a big mistake; this marriage will not be happy one."

….

"Do you Kaname Kuran take Lydia Mori to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do."

"Do you Lydia Mori take Kaname Kuran to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"…."

Lydia just blankly stared at the priest. Everyone was awaiting her answer she knew but she chose to remain silent. Time started to pass and still there was no answer. People present there started to whisper. Kaname narrowed his gaze at her praying inside that she would not say no.

"Lydia say yes." Yuki her maid of honour whispered in her ear.

There were various coughs from the audience signalling Lydia to say yes but she still remained silent.

"My dear do you take this man as your husband?" The priest repeated his line.

Lydia remained silent. Little Veronica who only reached a little above all their knees danced her head from Kaname to her sister, to her sister to Kaname. She was just barely a child and for that reason she did not understand why her sister was taking so long to say yes. In truth Veronica was getting impatient because she was waiting to see the kiss, real life kiss something that she only sees in cartoons prince and princess kissing.

"Lylia say yes." Veronica pulled her sisters dress.

"Lydia, please say yes." Yuki almost begged in her ear.

At that moment Lydia's eyes met with her father's who just started at her calmly. There was a cunning smile curling the corner of his lips. That smile disgusted Lydia. The bride closed her eyes in order to prevent tears but it did not work.

'…hate you papa…I hate you…'

"…Yes…" she finally answered.

"You may kiss the bride." The priest declared making Kaname close the distance and pull his wife into a passionate kiss.

Little Veronica watched with dream eyes as her brother in law kissed her sister. Little did she know her future, that it was actually her husband that was kissing his first wife.

"When am I meeting your children kaname? " lydia asked with vast confidence looking straight

into her husband s eye, only to have him dangerously narrow his eyes at his where the rest could only gasp apart from haruka who was just quiet.
"Excuse me. .." kaname was stunned.

"Children? " ichio almost caughed "lord kaname has no children. Lady Lydia. "
Lydia focused her attention to the old senetor and asked "why is lord kaname not fertile enough?" She spoke innocently with mockery in her tone and eyes.
"Lydia.." juri called her out harshly.
"Lydia...?" Yuki spoke astonished.
Both the ichijos had their eyes widened.
Haruka still had a smile on his face and kaname just squeezed his brows before opening his mouth to speak " if I were you I would keep that tongue under control... wife.?"

" am I supposed to be scared of that tone?" She mocked her husband again. Kaname just hardened his glare but even then it had no effect on his wife.
"Lydia it has been over a month...I think its high time you and kaname start living as husband and wife." Juri spoke sounding strict.
"...I am living that life whether I like it or not " lydia replied through gritted teeth.
" I am taking about consumating the marriage." Juri informed in a matter of fact tone. Lydia was silent awfully silent for a while before opening her mouth once again
" I don't wish to get HIV at such a young age."

Yuki spit out her drink, takuma almost chocked. Juri's glare hardened. She was beyond furious. She opened her mouth with the intention of scolding her new daughter in law but stopped haruka signalled her to be quiet with a very harsh look on his face that was directed towards his son kaname.
" we came at a wrong day. " Asoto ichijo muttered under his breath.
"Aids...me? In that case don't I have the right to accuse you too? "
"What do you mean? " Lydia s voice came out as a hiss.
" ah...you don't understand..." Lydia raised her eyebrow in confusion. "I was referring to the fact that you might be born with it...after all..." he smirked leaving his sentence incomplete.

"Complete the sentence jerk!" Lydia had an outburst.

"You want me to say it out loud? No then again, everyone already knows your mother ranaway from her house and worked in a red-light area before meeting your father,"

Kaname enough!" This time it was Haruka that spoke up seeing how much Lydia was fuming up but the prince ignored his father and continued anyways.

"Also your mother is the slut who broke your father's happy home." Kaname smirked watching her boil in anger.

"You asshole." Lydia cured before getting up and storming out of the dining room.

…

"So now thing seem better between you and oni-sama."

Yuki spoke passing Lydia her blood drink, While Lydia cornered herself at the terrace to have her smoke. Many of the aristrocats complained to Kaname about Lydia's smoking habit and asked him to put a stop to it. But ofcourse Kaname never did. Or the way some people preferred, he does not have the courage to do so.

"What do you mean?" Lydia asked in a matter of fact tone.

"I saw you both…you having…" Yuki mumbled blushing.

"You mean sex?" Lydia cleared it up for her friend. "Yes we do. I like what he does to me and he likes what I do to him. It's just mutual pleasure Yuki."

"Do you not love oni-sama?" Yuki asked. "You know I see it in his eyes, he is in love with you. In fact this is the first time I am seeing him like this. He really loves you Lydia."

"That is his personal problem not mine."

"That is selfish Lydia he is doing his best to win your affection, its unfair that you return nothing." Yuki told her sister in law getting impatient.

"I am giving him a lot more than he expec-"

"I was the one that gave him everything his body needed."

The new voice got both the pureblood ladies attention. Nither Yuki nor Lydia needed to turn to see who it was, both knew it was Ruka Souen, Kaname's mistress before he got married. There were also gossips in the council that kaname promised to marry Ruka even though his parents didn't approve but in the end his met Lydia and his mind seemed to take a different turn.

"Ruka." Yuki spoke in a sceptical tone.

"Ruka!" Lydia spoke in an over friendly tone.

"I am just here to tell you just because you are his wife it doesn't change anything. Just remember this I was in his life before you and did thing to him before you. I have the ability to pleasure him and make go weak in the knees."

"Ruka." Yuki spoke out trying to drive Ruka out.

"You're hilarious my dear." Lydia burst out laughing. "And FYI I never want to be in your position. More importantly there is a huge difference in us." Lydia pointed her finger between her and Ruka.

"You were his pet Ruka, you were Kaname's bitch and Kaname is my dog." The smirk curled up Lydia's lips.

"How dare you speak about lord Kaname this way?" Ruka snarled.

"Like I said he is my pet…Ruka." Flashing the noble girl a taunting smile the new Kuran bride walked away with an attitude as if she owns the world.

Asoto Ichijo over heard the entire thing from the shadows and it scared him as he realized this girl was having vast control over kaname and it only meant onething When Kaname comes to power she will be the one controlling everything from inside. And this time Ichio understood Havier Mori's game…why he did what he did.

….

"I do not see how this term is fair on the humans?" Lydia questioned going throught the documents that Ichio placed before Kaname.

"My lady everything is not fair in the world is it?" Ichio countered back.

"She is right, how is this fair? Can you please care to explain Ichio." Kaname supported Lydia with his decision.

"You cannot always agree with her my lord." Ichio spoke to Kaname. "She is young my lord and has barely any idea about how we work. She may be your wife but she cannot interfere in everything this way."

Before kaname could speak Lydia beat him to it.

"Are you bitching about me to my husband? Ichio?" Lydia spoke up.

"My lady, it is considered ill manner for youngers to speak when two elders are speaking." Ichio spoke in a warning tone.

"Oh really!" Lydia tone was arrogant. "What should that be considered when you are putting corrupted idea into your future king's head?"

"Lord Kaname forgive me for saying this but your wife's insolent nature will not be tolerated for long."

"Insolent nature!" Lydia stood up from her chair. "You have seen nothing of my insolence so far old man."

With that she took the documents placed before Kaname and ripped them apart and threw them onto Ichio's face.

"The deal is over." With that she elegantly picked up her purse and walked her way out. "Let's go kaname."

As Kaname was about to get up Ichio's voice stopped him.

"Lord kaname, gossip is spreading like wild fire that you have become wife's little puppy."

Kaname was about to sit back but then.

"Kaname I am waiting. Please hurry up." When Kaname said nothing she walked back to him took him by his wrist and walked out of the room.

"Indeed wife's little puppy." Hissed Ichio.

…

"I don't want this child now kaname." Lydia spoke calmly sitting on their bed. "I am too young to be a mother."

"Try to understand, Lydia…" Kaname knelt down before her and took both her hands in his. "I need an heir to protect the Kuran line."

"I understand." Lydia spoke taking face between her palms. "I never said we will never have kids…give me some time, let me grow up a little and we will have children, not one but ten."

Kaname sighed deeply, like always he gave up.

"Very well then, we are having an abortion." With that he placed a soft kiss on her lips.

"Thank you for understanding me Kaname," she responded kissing him back. "you are the best."

THE DAY OF ABORTION…

"I cannot do this Kaname." She spoke holding onto her husband's hand. "I cannot kill this life growing inside me."

"Lydia-"

"Besides I cannot always be so selfish and go for what I want. You need this child, you need an heir."

Kaname felt his heart skip a beat at her words. A feeling of joy started to take over him.

"Lydia I don't want to force you into anything, I only want your happiness and I would only like to keep this child you are wishing for it from the core of your heart." Kaname spoke pulling into dear one into his arms.

"I want this child Kaname, it is after all our child."

Kaname couldn't hold himself back; he ended up pulling her into a deep kiss which later led to them making love on his office table.

….

A year later…

"We should get rid of this child!" Kaname concluded.

"What?" Both Juri and Yuki gasped at the same time.

"Have you lost your mind bloodsucker?" Lydia cursed from the bathroom where she was throwing up. The word bloodsucker is something she learned from Zero and loved to use it every chance she got.

"Kaname what are you taking about?" his mother asked shocked.

"She is suffering, looking at her." He pointed towards Lydia who was vomiting in the bathroom and a maid was behind her rubbing her back to bring back some soothing feeling.

"I do not need an heir or a child." Kaname sighed. "I just want Lydia to be safe. Since I am the faher my decision is final. We are getting rid of that child."

"And what makes you think it will make feel any better?" Came Lydia's weak voice from the back.

"Don't do this to me…" Kaname spoke desperately. "How will I live this long life is something happens to you."

"You worry for no reason Kaname." Lydia spoke cupping his face. "Nothing will happen to me."

Kaname pulled her into his arms and held her tight, so tight that Lydia felt she was going to disappear if he loosened her grip.

"I love you Lydia…" he soft whispered.

"I know…"

"No you don't know, no one knows but me."

"Thank you Kaname," H looked down at his wife with confused eyes. "For loving me the way you do."

Kaname just kissed her with a heavy heart; it's been over two years since they got married and even now Lydia never said those three words to him even though he said to her over thousand times. Ofcourse he was not giving up, after all being a pureblood meant long life and he was patient he could wait for hundreds to thousands of years for it to happen.

….

Three years later…inside Kuran private jet

"Do you have to go?" Lydia asked in a fearful tone while tightly clutching onto his hand on her chest.

"Yes, I have no choice I am doing this for your father."

"It's his business…why do you have to go?" Kaname sighed at lydia's stubbornness. She was right through but then her father insisted very much.

"It will only be two months Lydia." Kaname replied kissing her head. "For us it will pass with a blink of an eye and before you know it I will be there right with you." Kaname paused to rub his hand on her oversized stomach. "And together we shall welcome our children into this world."

Lydia remained silent just held onto his hand as it was her most treasured jewel. Kaname did not object either. He also remained silently seated beside her till it was time for his flight. After all today both were flying to two different destinations, Kaname was heading to Singapore to attend a meeting on his father in laws behalf and then a meeting in the middle earth for the vampire council. Lydia on the other hand was flying to Italy for her delivery with Yuki, her husband Zero and Juri. A part of her was excited because no one in her family knew about her pregnancy it was kept a secret and now she was more than ready to surprise them specially her baby sister Veronica.

"Lord Kuran, it is time for your flight." One of the his men came and informed. Lydia panicked tightening her hold on Kaname's hand but he gently managed to pull his hand from her and softly caress her face.

"Promise me you will be a good girl in my absence," He kissed her head. "You will eat properly and take your medications on time."

"Kaname you are speaking to me as if I am your child." Lydia's words made him chuckle in return.

He tied her seatbelt making sure it was neither too tight to cause her discomfort or too lose to cause her danger. Then with a final kiss on her lips he got but before he could leave she tightly grabbed onto her sleeve and pulled him back.

"Lydia I will miss my flight."

"I just wanted you to know…that..-tha-t I love you kaname." Kaname felt his eyes widening and his heart missing a beat. "many at times I wanted to say it out loud but I failed and now something inside me is telling me if I don't say it now then…I will never be able to say it."

Kaname said nothing just carefully listened and dived himself to kiss her with all the love and passion he has got. Pulling away from the kiss Lydia started once more.

"I promise you Kaname Kuran…once you come back to me I will be a different Lydia, a different wife and a loving mother to our children and together we shall start everything fresh anew life." Her words made Kaname's heart explode with joy. "I will no longer fight with you, I will listen you, I will no longer try to control you and I promise you that every day I shall show you how much I love you."

Yuki, Zero and Juri were present in that flight but none of them could tell the condition of Kaname's heart. The happiness he felt.

"Lydia, you will not have to do any of that." He placed a longing kiss on her head. "You said it at last and that is enough. Just be the way you are because you are perfect that way."

This time it was Lydia that pulled into a love filled kiss.

"I will wait for you Kaname…I promise."

"And I shall come back to you…I promise."

Kaname Kuran watched through the large windows of the airport lounge as the aircraft carring Lydia lifted off the ground, he did not know why suddenly his heart felt empty and terrified but it did not last long as he too was called for his flight.

What Kaname did not know was that, it was the last time he was seeing his Lydia.

The next time he saw her, she was lying down on her bed…no it was her body that was lying down and waiting for him she was already gone. He kept his promise he came back but like always she did not and this she truly broke his heart and left him alone forever.

a.n the reason i did this chapter i think its a little for all my readers to get a glimpse of kaname's life with his first so called beloved wife and also it will show every one the difference between the two sisters.

I hope all of you were able to notice that Veronica and Lydia were completely different from one another. or did they almost appear the same? whic one do you think is more suitable for Kaname as wife?
