(Spyro's POV)
"Keep this pressed on his leg, I have to go see what this guy wants." I heard light footsteps slowly fading away as something cold and wet was pressed on my inner thigh. My eyes shot open, as it ended up being much colder than expected. I quickly moved my leg away on instinct. I realized that Cynder had only been pressing a cold cloth to the cut on my leg. I lay back down again, letting her press it to my leg. It was hard to do so as a dragon, she had to lay on the table with me in order to keep in on. I wish I could do it myself, but I would have to strain to reach back there.
"Where exactly... am I?" I couldn't remember much of what happened, just being cut by an ape and flying out of the mountain.
"You... kind-of passed out of blood loss from the ape cutting you with a blade after we flew from the tower. Luckily, there was a cheetah village nearby."
"I didn't think they had them out this far!"
"Neither did I! These cheetahs seem a bit... different than the others. I don't know, maybe it's their accents..."
"Well, at least they're helping us. I mean, I could've died if it weren't for them..." We remained silent for a few seconds, having the sudden realization of how close we had come to death enter our minds. I couldn't imagine losing Cynder, just as I couldn't imagine how Cynder would react if our roles were switched during such an event. A chill ran up my spine as I couldn't get a clear image of it in my head.
I lightly shook my head to get rid of the dark thoughts as I noticed a cheetah walking over. He had some sort of... crystal his paws. It was glowing a pulsing bright red. Cynder inspected it a little, obviously as confused as I was.
"It's a healing crystal, which only works on you dragons. You simply place it on the injury, and it will provide a somewhat month-long temporary heal for it. It will help with this." He went to put the crystal on my leg, but I quickly drew away on instinct, still a little afraid as to what it would do. "Relax. It won't hurt at all, in fact, a few dragons even reported feeling a light sense of pleasure while pressed to them." I slowly put my leg back to its original position, allowing the cheetah to place the crystal on the cut. The instance he put it on, I felt an ever so soft sense of euphoria, relaxing me and letting the crystal do its work. A mere ten seconds later the cheetah removed the crystal from my leg, allowing me to look at where the cut was. You could still visibly see where the cut was, but there appeared to be a bit of miscolored skin where it had been.
Seeing my worry, the cheetah quickly explained to both me as well as Cynder that the crystals work like that, placing a few layers of temporary skin over the cut to keep it from bleeding out. Hating the feeling of everyone looking down at my undersides, I rolled off the table, landing on all four paws. I felt no pain at all; it was as if the to-be scar had never been created in the first place. I stretched my back, attempting to get out of the sturdy position which I had been in when I was lying on it. It was weird; I had almost instantly gone from injured to healed. It felt as if I was walking on air, enough that I put out my wings. I instantly closed them, to avoid knocking anything down from the multiple tables spread out around the room. Cynder and I stood near the bed getting ready to tell the cheetah we had to go. I felt bad leaving this early, as he had done so much to help us without any personal gain. Yet, if we didn't take care of some... certain problems soon, this place could be destroyed in a matter of days.
