Hey guys! I'm back and I'm really hoping you don't all hate me for how long it's been since I updated. I really don't plan on having breaks that last this long but life seems to get in the way when you least want it to and screw things up. I do really want to update a lot faster but I'm not sure how well I'll be able to do that now that I'm back at university. But I will be sticking to this story no matter what as I've just introduced a whole host of new and exciting things that I really hope you guys are going to enjoy!

So, to make up for my unbelievable tardiness, I've created a chapter that is pretty much crossovers galore along with a lot of backstory and drama all in one! I'm trying to keep this story interesting so please, please, please let me know what you think of this chapter as it is one hell of a stab in the dark for me and I really hope it goes well!

Just as an FYI to those who didn't get the note I put at the start of the last chapter, I had to change a few things in the plot, especially pertaining to Klaus and Alex. Now I want to say - especially to those who ship Alex and Klaus - that I may have changed what happened between them but that doesn't mean it won't happen in the future if it fits in with the plot as that is the most important thing to me and to be honest, at the point in time, the Alex/Klaus baby thing didn't work with the plot I had planned out, so I've rewritten that part of Chapter 37 to make things fir in with this chapter, so please don't get upset if you liked that idea and it hasn't happened. The future of this story isn't properly planned out so anything could happen!

**IMPORTANT A/N AT THE END OF THE STORY**

So, I really hope you all read that authors note, even though it was crazy long! Anyways, On with Chapter 38!

Disclaimer - I only own Alex and the plot, everything else you recognise belongs to their respective creators.

How I Know You

I had gone to get a shower to wash the blood of the bar patrons off of me as it was starting to freak out Sam and Dean. When I walked back into the main room of the bunker, towel drying the ends of my hair, I was greeted with the sight of Sam reading a book.

"Whatcha reading?" I asked the hunter. His head snapped up and looked at me in surprise.

"Alex! I didn't hear you come in," He said, shaking his head and running his hands through his hair. "I'm just doing some research, I spend most of my time doing that," Sam answered.

"Researching what?"

"Actually, I'm researching you," Sam smiled slightly.

"Me? Why?"

"Well, with your situation, I wanted to know if it was even possible. There was no way you could have gotten pregnant from Kol, seeing as he's dead. And since you've not slept with anyone else, there's nothing that explains it. I'm not even sure it's possible for you to get pregnant. You may be alive but you should technically be infertile," Sam explained.

"Infertile?"

"Well, to become Abaddon, your 'vessel' had to die to become open to your possession, right?"

"Yeah. My vessel died and became open for me to get back inside my true body," I clarified.

"Exactly. But your vessel died. Alex when you die your ability to have children dies too. Even restarting your heart wouldn't make you fertile again. I'm just not sure how this is even happening," Sam sighed.

"So what you're saying is that Kol isn't the father?" I asked.

"That's what I'm saying. No one you've interacted with is the father," Sam nodded, standing up to put the book away.

"Look, Sam. I need you to promise me you won't tell Kol about this. I have to be the one to tell him," I said.

"I wouldn't dream of it, Alex. But you have to tell him soon. It'll be worse if you wait," Sam replied. I nodded and gave him a quick hug in appreciation. Dean walked into the room with Cas just as I let Sam go.

"Now that you're out of the shower, Alex. I'll be able to tell you all what I wanted to tell you," Cas said as he moved to stand behind the table.

"Yeah, why did you come here, Cas? What do you need us to kill now?" Dean asked, turning his attention to the Angel who had been patiently waiting to divulge his information.

"I don't need you to kill anyone, Dean. At least not yet," Cas replied.

"Not yet?" Sam repeated.

"At the moment I am only hearing whispers. All I know is that somewhere in America, someone is using a very old and powerful form of magic. The kind that could destroy worlds,"

"Death, destruction and mayhem. That sounds like my cup of tea," I smirked. Castiel turned his gaze on me and glared. "What? I've spent a lot of time destroying, I can't just stop cold turkey because you're glaring at me," I argued.

"Do you know where in America this is happening?" Sam, ever the voice of reason, asked.

"No, but I know someone who will know, though I'm not sure if he will be willing to help us," Castiel replied.

"Don't tell me…" Dean trailed off.

"Unfortunately yes," Cas nodded. Dean and Sam groaned, obviously not excited to see this person again.

"Who is it?" I asked

"King of Douchebag," Dean grunted. I squinted my eyes in confusion but he didn't say anything else.

"So when are we going?" Castiel asked, looking to Dean and Sam for an answer.

"Well, when Kol and Elijah get here, we can go with you. Give you some major backup," I offered.

"We don't need backup to deal with that dick, but you guys could tag along if you want," Dean shrugged. "How long are we going to have to wait for them to get here?" He asked.

"Well, depending on how far away we are from Virginia, not very long," I replied.

"So, about your situation…" Dean trailed off.

"Sam's been doing research and we're both more than 100 percent sure that it wasn't Kol," I replied. "That just leads to the question of how the hell I'm with child," I sighed.

"You're with child!? Kol yelled from the entrance of the bunker.

"Kol!" I gasped, my head whipping round to see him racing down the stairs towards me.

"What do you mean you're with child?" Kol asked, storming towards me. "How is that even possible?" He demanded, grabbing my arms with force. I could see the anger behind his eyes as his glare burned through me.

"I don't know Kol!" I yelled back, wincing at the pain in my arms from his grip.

"Hey, wanna let her go," Dean said, moving towards the two of us. Kol growled and flashed his vampire teeth and the hunter causing Dean to stop in his tracks.

"Kol!" Elijah's voice bellowed from somewhere behind my boyfriend but Kol wasn't paying attention, increasing the pressure on my upper arms. I felt the skin break around his fingers and felt my restraint break too. I balled my hands into fists and my eyes turned white, startling Kol out of his rage. His grip loosened and I ripped my arms out from his grasp. Channelling my energy into my right hand, I reared it back and punched the Original square in the jaw. He flew backwards and crashed into the wall, leaving a dent in it.

"How dare you, Kol!" I roared. "Something has happened to me, and I have no idea how. It's scary and I need you to be supportive, not insane!"

"Are you sure you're pregnant," Elijah asked but I refused to take my eyes off Kol, who was matching my glare.

"I was told by Meredith. I only found out this morning. I would have said something earlier but I was dealing with the death of my sister and father," I spat, talking more to Kol than Elijah.

"It is true, brother," A voice I was sure I wouldn't hear for a few more decades said. "Our dearest Alex is having a child," Klaus smirked.

"Klaus? I thought you were desiccated," I said, switching my glare to the hybrid.

"We thought since Alaric and Elena were…gone, there was no need to keep Klaus desiccated," Elijah explained. "However, I still have a few witches that owe me favours, so Klaus must be on his best behaviour."

"Yes, because veiled threats scare me so much, Elijah," Klaus replied, rolling his eyes.

"I don't mean to interrupt the domestic over there, but what's going on?" Sam asked, speaking up from the table.

"Klaus isn't in the coffin I expected him to be in," I replied as Kol stoop up and brushed himself off.

"Klaus? The Klaus that was the reason Elena died?" Sam asked, looking at me.

"Yes," I nodded.

"Talking about me, Alex? I'm touched," Klaus smirked. I grinned sarcastically and flipped him the bird.

"Can we please focus on the more important matters here?" Castiel asked, bored of the arguments we were having.

"And who are you to dictate what we do?" Kol spat, still angry.

"He's an Angel, Kol. Leave him alone," I growled, Kol's antics starting to get on my nerves.

"I would listen to Alex, demon," Cas added. Kol glared and moved towards the Angel but I stepped in front of him.

"Don't touch him, Kol. He's my fri-" I started but was cut off by the sound of bones breaking. I whipped my head around and saw Kol standing behind Cas whose head was now facing the wrong way. "-end," I finished with a sigh. I crossed my arms and watched as Cas brought his hands up and snapped his neck back into place.

"I am an Angel of the lord. Did you think snapping my neck would actually kill me?" Cas deadpanned.

"I was actually hoping you'd be out for a few hours," Kol shrugged.

"Are you done being an asshole?" I asked, shifting my weight onto one hip.

"Well, I'm less angry," Kol replied. I sighed and moved towards Dean.

"Sam, Dean, Cas, this is Elijah and Klaus. Elijah, Klaus, this is Sam and Dean Winchester, they're hunters and Castiel, as you've heard, is an Angel," I introduced everyone.

"When did you meet these people?" Elijah asked.

"I am capable of meeting other people, 'Lijah," I sighed. "I've saved these guys far too many times," I added, swinging my arm up and over Dean's shoulder, standing on my tiptoes to reach.

"Please, you've saved us once," Dean scoffed, shrugging my arm off his shoulder. "Cas was right though, we do have a bigger problem and Alex said you guys would help," Dean added.

"We just evaded being killed, do we have to put our lives on the line again?" Kol groaned.

"You can't die, Kol. Why are you complaining?" I replied.

"What is your problem, perhaps we could help," Elijah asked, ignoring his younger brother.

"Cas?" Dean looked to the Angel to divulge the information.

"As I was saying, I don't have much information, but there is someone out there using a level of magic that can open portals into different realms. If we don't stop them it could lead to very bad things," Cas explained.

"Care to say what those bad things are?" Kol asked with a smirk.

"Kol!" I warned, my anger for him growing.

"Are you still angry?" Kol asked.

"What do you think?" I snapped. "So where's the guy who will know more about this situation?"

"He's in LA. That's where we'll need to go," Cas said. He turned to Sam and started to raise his pointer finger and middle finger to his head.

"Woah, can't we drive?" Sam asked, backing away from the Angel. "I don't like when you teleport us."

"Yeah, it really clogs us up," Dean added. Cas lowered his hand and frowned.

"But it is the fastest way to travel," Cas argued.

"Alex can teleport, right?" Dean asked, looking at me pleadingly.

"I guess but I don't know if I could take all of us. I'm running low on energy. I really need to feed," I sighed.

"We'll meet you there," Elijah said, smiling at me. "I've always enjoyed running and it won't take us very long," He added.

"Sure, make us run all the way to Los Angeles," Klaus groaned.

"I'm sure you've run further than that in your life," I replied. He raised an eyebrow at me with a scowl.

"We'll meet you there," Elijah nodded, dragging Klaus up the stairs by his sleeve. "Kol," He said expectedly. Kol looked at me for a second before following his brother up the stairs and out the door.

"So that was awkward," Dean said breaking the silence that had fallen over the four of us.

"Yeah. This is going to be a weird trip," I sighed. "Can you get there yourself, Cas?" I asked the Angel. He nodded the affirmative. "Let's get going then."

I had let the boys get the things they thought they'd need for the journey and anything else they wanted to bring with them. It turned out they didn't feel like they needed to take any weapons to meet this guy. They still didn't tell me who they were meeting but I just assumed it was someone they knew who wasn't a good guy.

We met up with the Originals halfway down one of Los Angeles' many streets.

"Where is this guy then?" I asked as we walked down the dimly lit streets of downtown LA.

"I don't know," Dean shrugged. "Usually we walk about for a bit and he finds us before we find him."

"What would he be doing in LA?" Sam asked.

"Probably the same thing he does everywhere else," Dean sighed. "Causing havoc for us, recruiting people, the usual."

"He sounds like a fun guy," Kol smirked.

"Believe me, I'm sure you two would get along. You're both hot heads," Dean replied.

"Why don't we split up? We could cover more ground that way," Elijah suggested.

"Sure, you're looking for a short guy, English accent," Sam said.

"Everyone is short to you, Sam," I said, rolling my eyes.

"That must make you a midget," Dean grinned at me.

"I am so sorry that I am vertically impaired," I deadpanned, looking around me at the men that were all over 5'10".

"So you should be," Klaus smirked.

"I call Alex," Kol smirked with a raised hand. "I think we have a few things to discuss."

"Fine," I sighed, kind of hoping I'd get to go with either of the Winchesters or Cas.

"Klaus and I shall go this way," Elijah said, gesturing to the right.

"We'll go this way," I added, pointing behind myself and dragging Kol with me. "Yell if you find him. If not, meet back here in half an hour and we'll try again," I added as an after thought.

"So, Alex is pregnant," Klaus smirked as he walked alongside his older brother.

"Yes, that seems to be the case, doesn't it?" Elijah replied.

"Wonder how that happened. It sure wasn't Kol."

"Of course it wasn't, that would be impossible," Elijah sighed.

"Then how could it happen?"

"I do not know Klaus. I am not an expert on all things Abaddon."

"I never said you were. I just thought out of any of us, she would have at least told you," Klaus shrugged.

"I don't think Alex herself even knows how it happened."

"Do you think she'll ever go back?" Klaus asked after a few moments of silence.

"Go back where?"

"To Mystic Falls," Klaus clarified.

"I'm not sure. She's heartbroken and all that place reminds her of is the ones she lost and the ones she left behind. I think it'll take her a while to return, if she does at all."

"But it's her home," Klaus objected.

"I feel like she's started to make herself comfortable in a new home," Elijah sighed. "You've seen how close she is to the Winchesters. And Castiel seems to be someone from her past that she is close to. I fear she may start to get too comfortable with them."

"Too comfortable to the point she won't ever want to leave," Klaus nodded.

"And with a baby on the way, she needs to be somewhere safe and stable," Elijah added.

"She's too stubborn to see her dependency on those boys. And its Alex, she's far too enticing for the men to turn her away."

"Yes, I don't think I've ever seen anyone reject Alex. She's too powerful and people are drawn to power," Elijah said.

"You do realise it falls to us to take her back home, right?" Klaus asked.

"I know," Elijah sighed. "I just hope she can handle it when we do."

Dean, Sam and Castiel wandered in the opposite direction from their short friend and her partner, looking down each allyway in hopes of finding their contact.

"I really don't like that Alex went with Kol," Dean sighed.

"She's a big girl, Dean. There's no way she'd let him come close to hurting her. Especially with the situation she's in," Sam stated.

"It's still not right, Sam. How did she even get pregnant anyway?"

"I believe it has to be something supernatural," Castiel piped up. "There is no other explanation than a magical force."

"What do you mean Cas?" Sam asked.

"Don't you think it's a bit too much of a coincidence that Alex gets pregnant right at the same time there is a surge of magic in America?" Cas inquired.

"Yeah, but it might just be that, a coincidence," Dean offered.

"Dean, the universe is rarely so lazy," Castiel pointed out.

"You think the two things are connected?" Sam asked.

"I believe so, Sam. There doesn't seem to be any other explanation."

"Still doesn't excuse that ass of a boyfriend she's got," Dean muttered.

"Are you jealous, Dean?" Sam asked, the hint of a smile tracing his features.

"What?! That's ridiculous. She's our friend, Sammy. I just don't want to see her hurt," Dean scoffed.

"Or is it that you don't want to see her with anyone else?" Sam added.

"Shut up," Dean grumbled. "It's not like that."

"Yeah, sure. You keep telling yourself that," Sam smirked.

"Look, even if I did like her, she's immortal. She deserves someone who's not gonna get wrinkly and die," Dean said, stuffing his hands into his jacket pockets. "I just feel like she could do better. Like the older Original, what was his name?"

"Elijah?" Sam offered.

"Yeah, him. He seems nicer. More like the type of guy she should be with," Dean nodded. "Someone to cherish her and support her and love her the way she deserves to be loved."

"So you're saying that if you were immortal too, you'd want to be with her?"

"I ain't saying nothing like that, Sammy. Just drop it," Dean sighed, speeding up his walking.

"What do you think, Cas?" Sam asked the Angel.

"I think that we're heading in the wrong direction," The Angel replied.

"No, I mean about Dean?" Sam sighed.

"What about him?"

"About his feelings for Alex. Do you think they're platonic?"

"I'm not sure. I'm not very in tune with human emotion but he does care for our friend," Castiel replied.

"Don't we all," Sam nodded. "We better catch up," He nodded to his brother further ahead of them and the Angel and Hunter picked up their pace.

"So are we going to talk about earlier?" Kol asked as we walked down the road.

"Have you decided to not be a complete wanker about it?" I countered.

"Okay, I deserved that," Kol smirked.

"Damn right you did. You overreacted to the extreme," I nearly yelled.

"And I apologise. Honestly I do. But it came as a shock to me and I flipped."

"And you think it didn't come as a shock to me?! Listen, Kol. I need to know if you're going to flip out like this every time something happens that's surprising. Because I can't deal with that kind of stress and frustration in my situation and these kind of surprises always seem to happen to me," I told the vampire.

"Alex, I can't promise to take everything bad that happens well. It's not in my nature and I'm not going to change that."

"Me being pregnant is a bad thing?" I asked, hurt at the thought.

"Well, when we don't know how and who the father is, it's not the best thing love," Kol sighed.

"It's not like I cheated on you, Kol!"

"I know that! But you're still carrying a child that isn't mine. How do you expect me to feel?!"

"I don't know, Kol. Supportive might be nice!"

"I'm trying but you don't understand-"

"Then help me understand, Kol! Don't throw us away over something I can't control!"

"I'm not throwing us away, Alex! I'm just trying to process all of this."

"And how long is that going to take? Cause this baby is developing fast. It's not going to be like you have 9 months to come to terms with everything. It's gonna be more like 2, maybe 3, and I need you to be by my side. To be as supportive as Elijah and Sam and Dean,"

"Oh yes, bring up my older brother. The perfect child. There's nothing wrong with good old 'Lijah is there? Of course he's going to be supportive. It's not like he's the one dating you."

"Do you have a problem with dating me? Cause believe me, I have plenty more options!"

"Yes, like the Winchesters. So eager to help you in any way they can. More like so eager to fuck you, because that's the only thing on their minds, I can tell you that," I raised my hand and slapped him across the face, making him reel to the left, his hand coming up to cradle his cheek.

"Sam and Dean have been nothing but kind and generous to all of us. Opening their safe house to us and helping me in my time of need. Why are you being like this, Kol? Why are you fighting me?"

"Because I don't do relationships, Alex. I'm jealous, stubborn and reckless. I have to distance myself from people because I always hurt them."

"So what? We all have our flaws, Kol. I'm not perfect either! So what is it really?"

"It's because I love you Alex! I love you and that terrifies me more than anything ever has in my thousand years of life."

"I could really use a guy like you working for me. I've been reading into my vampire history and you're one of the names on my top 5 list," A gravelly English accent floated out of the ally we were next to, interrupting our domestic in the middle of the street.

"I don't work for anybody but myself, so sod off, ponce," An aggravated, cockney London accent replied. I tore my gaze away from Kol as I recognized the voice and made my way towards the ally.

"Now, now. There's no need for name calling, a simple no would suffice," The gravelly voice replied as Kol and I walked deeper into the ally until the two speakers were in front of us.

"William the Bloody," Kol smirked forgetting our argument and walking closer towards the bleached blonde vampire.

"Kol?" The man countered, squinting into the darkness which shrouded Kol and me.

"Crowley?" I asked, moving into the light and staring at the demon in front of me.

"Abaddon?" He replied, confused.

"Abaddon?" The blonde vampire asked, looking towards me.

"Spike," I smiled in response.

"Spike?" Kol asked glaring at me.

"Kol," I sighed in annoyance.

"Kol?" Crowley asked in excitement.

"Crowley," I warned.

"Alex," Kol said.

"Alex?" Crowley and Spike chorused.

"It's my name," I replied.

"Well, it has been a long time, hasn't it," Crowley smiled at me. "And you brought a friend," He added looking at Kol. "I have a proposition for you."

"No, Crowley," I stopped him. "We're not looking to join any kind of team that you're recruiting and it sounded like Spike didn't want to either."

"That's right, mate," Spike nodded. "I'm just gonna stand over there with them," He finished, sauntering over to Kol and I.

"So are we going to do introductions?" Crowley asked, looking pointedly at me.

"Crowley, this is Kol, a member of the Original family of vampires. Kol, this is Crowley, he's second in command of hell," I introduced the two to each other.

"King, actually," Crowley smirked.

"How did that happen?" I asked. "When I left, Lilith was still in charge."

"You were in Hell?" Spike asked, a wide-eyed look of his face. "When? Maybe we were there at the same time," He added, sounding excited.

"Years before you were even born, Spikey," I told the young vampire.

"Well, when Lilith instructed me to show you around Hell, to protect her own ass I might add, that gave me quite a big standing in the eyes of the other demons down there. Being side by side with the one and only Abbadon made me seem invincible. I waited patiently until Lucifer got thrown into the pit by those Winchesters and used my influence over the demons to take over Hell for myself. So I really have you to thank for being King," The demon explained.

"I feel like I'm missing something here," Kol said.

"When I was taken from my true vessel by Death because the Angels were getting too excited about my powers I was forced to spend the rest of my time on Earth looking for my vessel. I spent a while down in Hell trying to look there and see if it ended up in Hell. When I got there, it was Crowley here who helped me search, seeing as he knew the ins and outs of the place. At first I was going to kill him, what use did I have for a tour guide? But he was funny. I had a feeling he'd end up doing something important, so I let him live," I told Kol.

"I didn't know you were going to kill me," Crowley spoke up.

"I'm pretty sure there are a lot of things you don't know," I shrugged. "Especially when it comes to what's going on in my head."

"So that explains how you know shorty over here," Kol stated. "But how do you know William?"

"I should be asking you the same question," I scoffed.

"Big guy here helped me when I had just been turned into a vampire. My sire was off shagging bloody Angelus, prick, and I was struggling. Kol here, decided to help me learn the tricks of the trade," Spike explained, clapping Kol on the shoulder.

"It was a pet project of mine for a while. Showed me why I don't turn people. I nearly killed him myself from pure annoyance," Kol added.

"Why didn't you?" I asked.

"I left during the night, expecting the sun to kill him for me. I must have underestimated William's survival instincts," Kol replied.

"You're bloody right you did," Spike nodded.

"So how do you know…Spike," Kol asked, trying out the blonde vampire's new name for the first time.

"Boxer rebellion," Spike butted in. "She started the whole bloody thing."

"How did you manage that?" Crowley asked, having been patiently listening to all of our stories.

"Who do you think convinced the Chinese peasants that learning to box would make them impervious to bullets? I showed them I knew how to box and made one of them shoot me. They thought they'd be invincible and I would have a feast of hundreds of souls. I thought it was a win, win for everyone."

"I had just killed my first slayer when Alex here stumbled into the house I was in. I challenged her and she just laughed," Spike continued. "After thoroughly kicking my ass we decided our time would be better spent killing others instead of trying to kill each other."

"We spent the better part of a week together. He'd drink their blood while I took their souls," I added.

"We were quite the team," Spike grinned at me. I smiled and nodded.

"Too bad you were so into that crazy sire of yours," I sighed. "We would've taken the world by storm."

"Yeah, well, everyone's got regrets," Spike shrugged.

"Speaking of which," Crowley piped up. "You will surely regret not joining my forces."

"Are we back on that, mate? Listen. I'm not interested," Spike groaned. "Even if I'm one of your top 5."

"Who else is on your top 5 list, Crowley?" I asked.

"Top 5 vampires to recruit, love. Don't get upset that you're not on there," He winked at me.

"Upset over you? Please, I have some dignity," I scoffed.

"Well, since you asked oh so nicely," Crowley said. "There's Spike here, then Angelus and of course, the three Original men."

"And I'm obviously number one," Kol smirked.

"Obviously," Crowley deadpanned.

"What about my dear sister?" Kol asked and I flinched at the thought of the female Original. "Why doesn't she get a spot up there?"

"Little bit sexist don't you think?" I accused.

"Not at all. There have been far too many rumours over the years of the female Original getting far too attached to people. I don't want to risk any sort of emotions, if you don't mind. She is number six however," Crowley said.

"Look, that's not why we came here," I sighed, bringing us back on topic and away from the tangent we were on. "We need some information and apparently, you have it," I said, looking at Crowley.

"And why would I just give it away?" He hummed.

"Seriously? Our history and you still want something in return?" I scoffed.

"I always want something in return. Back then, it was your reputation, now, I want your allegiance."

"You can have word of mouth and that's as good as you're going to get," I warned.

"What is word of mouth going to get me?" Crowley asked, impatiently.

"You get to say that Kol, Spike, Elijah, Klaus and Abaddon all 'vote Crowley' and if they doubt you, tell them to find me. I'm always itching for a good kill," concluded.

"I guess if that's as good as I'm going to get," Crowley sighed as I glared at him and nodded. "What information do you want?"

"Apparently there's someone or something out there that is using an advanced form of magic and we want to know where," I told the King of Hell.

"And who told you I knew anything about this," He asked.

"Castiel said you were the only person who might know what's going on. The angels are stumped," I replied.

"Well, to disappoint you, I haven't heard a thing about this. But I promise to keep an ear out for you. How does that sound?"

"Sounds like you've let me down, Crowley," I tutted.

"Pity," He replied sarcastically.

"Looks like we gotta go back and say Crowley here was as useful as a pile of dirt," I sighed.

"Go back to who?" Crowley asked.

"The Winchesters," Kol replied, their name bitter on his tongue.

"Of course Moose and Squirrel are behind this," Crowley said aloud to himself. I snorted at the nicknames and Crowley smirked at me.

"That doesn't matter," I said, gaining control of the laughter that was bubbling in my throat. "Thanks for all of your help," I smiled at Crowley, sarcasm dripping from my words. I turned on my heels and walked back out of the ally, Kol following behind.

The silence between us was broken as I heard Spike calling out from behind us.

"Hey, wait up!" He yelled.

"What do you want Spike?" I asked the younger vampire.

"I just wanted to come with you. You know, like the old days. Take on some big bads and get the blood pumping," He smirked, punching the air as if facing an imaginary adversary.

"We're not going away to fight something, Spike. This was just an information run," I told the blonde haired man.

"Still, you guys could use some company, no?" He offered. I knew he must have been alone here so I decided to take pity on him.

"Fine, but only until we're done in LA. Then you're back on your own," I said to the vampire. He nodded eagerly and we fell back into step.

"You know it's been a while since I beat up a demon or two," Spike chatted.

"Since when did you beat up demons?" I asked.

"Since I got myself a soul," He smiled in response.

"You did what now?" I asked, mentally scolding myself for not sensing it before. Man I was really running low on energy.

"Yep, did it for love," He added. My gaze flicked over to Kol who was staring me dead in the eyes.

"Who'd you fall in love with?" I asked.

"Her name's Buffy."

"You still with her?"

"Nah, she thinks I died when we close the Hellmouth in Sunnydale. I saved her life you know."

"You closed a Hellmouth? Boy you have changed," I said, bumping my shoulder into Spike's.

"Well, dating a Slayer's gonna do that to you."

"She's a Slayer?!" I yelled, stopping walking.

"Did I forget to mention?" Spike asked, a teasing grin on his face.

"What the hell have you gotten yourself into the past 100 years, Spike," I sighed as we continued to make our way to the place we were meeting up with everyone else.

It didn't take long to get back to where we had all split up and everyone else was already waiting for us.

"What took you guys so long?" Sam asked.

"And who is that?" Dean added, glaring at Spike.

"We found Crowley, and that's Spike. He's an old friend," I explained.

"Boy, aren't you popular," Dean snarked. I stuck my tongue out at him and playfully punched his shoulder. I saw Klaus and Elijah exchanging a glance but chose to ignore it.

"What did Crowley say?" Cas asked, bringing us back on topic.

"Nothing helpful," I sighed. "He said he knew nothing about it but would keep an ear out."

"Yeah, fat chance he's gonna do that," Dean scoffed.

"Don't worry, he will. We have history."

"Who do you not have history with?" Klaus asked, raising an eyebrow at me.

"Well, given that my history spans billions of years, not a lot," I replied, glaring at him.

"So this whole journey was a waste of time?" Kol asked, annoyance and anger clear in his voice.

"Oh, I don't know," I said. "I think some of us learnt a lot."

"Trouble in paradise, brother?" Klaus smirked at his younger sibling.

"I know where the White Oak Stake is hidden, Klaus. Do not tempt me," Kol growled.

"Look," Sam sighed, stepping into the middle of the huddle we had created. "Let's all just cool down and meet back at the bunker, yeah? Try and figure out what's happening with this magic and Alex's situation."

"Fine, but I gotta eat first," I told the group. "It's been far too long and I'm running low on energy."

"Do you want us to stay with you?" Dean asked, moving towards me, concern etched onto his handsome features.

"No, don't worry about it," I smiled at the hunter's concern. "I'm a big girl. It won't take long," I added. "Meet you at the bunker in about half an hour," I told the brothers. They nodded and looked towards Castiel who placed two fingers on their foreheads, teleporting them back to the bunker.

"We'll happily stay until you're done," Elijah offered, holding out a hand to me.

"It's fine, 'Lijah. I'll be finished and back at the bunker by the time you get there anyway," I smiled. "I think I need to be alone for a while anyway."

"What am I supposed to do?" Spike asked, looking at me.

"Whatever you want to do, Spike. Go find Buffy. Tell her you're still alive and give your love a chance. You'll only regret it if you don't," I told the vampire. He smiled and nodded at me, bringing me in for a hug.

"I'm glad I bumped into you again," He said, he cockney accent making me smile.

"Don't let it be the last time," I told him. He nodded and took off into the night.

I looked around me to see that the Originals had also left, going back to the bunker. I was alone. I sighed and let my walls crumble and the tears finally come out. Tears for the situation I was in, tears for the argument Kol and I had earlier and tears for all of the emotions I was feeling at once. My knees buckled and I fell to the ground, holding tightly to my knees for comfort.

Everything was going wrong and I couldn't think of a single way to stop it. I just wished that someone would tell me what was going on. That Kol would stop acting the way he was and that Sam and Dean would stop being so kind to me. Their compassion was making me never want to leave their side and as much as I didn't want to face it, I knew I'd have to go back to Mystic Falls. If only for Jeremy's sake. I left him in the aftermath of both Alaric and Elena's death without so much as a goodbye and I couldn't spend the rest of my life running from my loss.

I tried to compose myself, cleaning my face from any traces of running make up and standing up. Straightening my clothes I walked off in search of a meal. It wasn't long until I found a drunk man trying to force himself on a young girl. Her screams for help echoed around the dimly lit ally as I stalked towards them.

"Come on, you know you want it," He slurred, pinning the girl to the wall with his weight. Her struggles and refusal boiled my blood. I grabbed his shoulder and ripped the man away from the girl.

"I believe the girl said no," I told the man.

"Oh looky, another to join the party," The man grinned at me. He tried to force me against the wall but I held my stance firm. His smile faded as he saw I wasn't budging. "What the fuck!" He exclaimed, pushing harder. When he realised I still wasn't moving his sent his fist flying into my face. My head turned to the left slightly, but it hadn't been a very powerful hit. I gently turned my head back towards the man, looking him dead in the eye.

"When will you people get it into your thick skulls," I sighed. "When someone says no, it means no!" I placed one had over his face and one over his heart and quickly sucked all of the energy out of him. I felt a rush of life flow through me as I blew the soul into the night for death to take and smiled at my new rejuvenated power.

"What did you do?" The girl called from beside me.

"It's called saving your life, you're welcome," I replied with a roll of my eyes. I started to walk out of the ally but the girl followed me.

"Thank you!" She said, walking beside me. "If it wasn't for you, he'd be…" She trailed off, thinking about what would have happened to her if I hadn't interrupt.

"Look, get yourself home and do me a favour," I said, stopping and facing the girl. "Invest in a taser," I told her. She nodded and hurried off.

I went to move again but found myself rooted to the spot. I tried tugging on my legs but they wouldn't budge. I scanned the area around me to see if there was anyone there but all there was, was darkness and nothing more.

I tried to move once more before a thick blanket of purple smoke surrounded me. I felt myself being pulled in different directions. The kind of feeling you get when you teleport and closed my eyes to the blurring of the world around me.

Opening my eyes, I looked around at my surroundings as the purple smoke faded from view. I was just outside a town somewhere but there was no name to indicate where exactly the town was. I couldn't see anyone anywhere close to where I had landed and I was smart enough to know I should stay silent. I was here for a reason. Someone wanted me to be here and I would stay silent until they decided to show their face.

However, I wasn't one to just wait for things to happen to me either so I started to walk into the town. The first thing I noticed when I entered the town was how deserted it seemed. Even for the time it was, it seemed more deserted than it should be. There also wasn't much in the town. A café, row of shops and even a psychologist's office. I stopped outside the office, trying to see if there was anyone inside.

"Looking for a quick check up?" A Scottish voice called from behind me. "I think you could use one, dearie," I spun around, coming face to face with a man, clad in black with shoulder length murky blonde hair. He was leaning on a walking stick with a grin on his face.

"Who are you?" I asked cautiously, taking in his tired eyes and fidgeting fingers.

"I, am the one who bought you here," The man answered.

"That's all well and good, but you didn't answer my question. Who are you?" I replied narrowing my eyes with a glare.

"Rumpelstiltskin, at your service," He replied with a bow and a roll on the R. He looked up at me expectedly.

"Am I supposed to know who you are?" I asked, crossing my arms across my chest. He snapped his upper body upwards and cleared his throat.

"Well, that's irrelevant," He said with a wave of his hand.

"Why am I here?" I questioned, taking a step forward to show dominance.

"Now, now. No need for aggressive advances. I'm just here to see how you're getting along," Rumple smirked.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" I demanded.

"You have something of mine that I am looking to claim. When the time comes of course," He replied nonchalantly.

"I have nothing of yours, I've never met you," I argued.

"There was no need for us to meet. I've done a lot of research on you…Abaddon."

"Is that meant to scare me?" I scoffed. "Nearly everything supernatural knows of me. I'm kind of popular," I smirked. "And since you are the one who brought me here, somehow, it's obvious you know who I am. Now tell me why I'm here."

"You have something most supernatural beings crave. Something that most believe they have but truly don't," Rumpled stopped.

"What?"

"Immortality," He replied, rubbing his hands together.

"You want my immortality? Have fun getting close enough to get that."

"I don't want it from you," Rumple replied with a roll of his eyes. "I wouldn't be able to get it from you even if I wanted to. But your immortality is in your blood. And there's something else that shares your blood." My hand hovered over my stomach and the man nodded.

"It was you!" I gasped, clutching my stomach.

"You catch on quite fast, dearie," Rumple smiled, strolling towards me. "Your baby is from my magic. I own it."

"The baby in my body is made from my blood. You don't own shit," I spat.

"I need your child, Abaddon. And I will get it one way or another," Rumple glared.

"Why do you need my child? Why did you make this baby in the first place?"

"My own son was killed. I need a way to bring him back. I spent over 300 years finding him only to have him slip through my fingers. I'm not losing him again. I will not lose him for good," Rumple hissed.

"How could you do this in the first place?" I asked, backing up from him slightly. He grinned at me.

"Why magic, of course. I really thought that part was simple."

"I will kill you if you come anywhere near me," I threatened.

"I highly doubt that," He replied, waving his hand at me, sending me flying down the road. I landed on my back with a grunt and reached to the back of my head. Bringing my hand back to my face I saw blood staining my hand. Groaning, I stood up, facing Rumpelstiltskin head on. His grin widened and he launched another blast of magic my way but this time, I was prepared for it.

I used my energy to stop the magic mid-air, holding my arm out to keep the magic in place. Rumpelstiltskin frowned and faltered.

"I wonder how much research you actually did on me, Rumpelstiltskin," I said, moving slowly towards him. "Because if you did it properly, you would know that I feed off of energy. I control it. And what is magic but another form of energy. When I said you couldn't get near me, I wasn't lying," I recoiled my hand and sent the energy back towards the imp, causing him to go flying backwards and into a flower shop.

However, I didn't realise that my short lived fight with, the now passed out Rumpelstiltskin, would attract an audience.

"What is going on in my town?!" A female voice yelled from behind me. I looked around to see a woman with short black hair running out of the town hall followed but a crowd of people.

"I think you should ask that to your friend over there," I said, pointing to where I had thrown Rumpelstiltskin into the flower shop.

"Rumpel!" A girl with brown hair and staggering high heels called as she ran over to the unconscious man. "What did you do?" She asked looking at me.

"I did nothing," I defended. "He's the one who did something to me."

"What did he do to you?" A woman with a pixie haircut asked. She was holding a baby with a man who was standing defensively next to her.

"Screwed up my life, that's what," I replied.

"Well, that sounds like Rumpel," A woman with long blonde hair and a red leather jacket pitched in.

"I don't really care who it sounds like. I care about getting out of here and back to my friends," I told the group.

"How did you get here?" The man next to the woman with the baby asked.

"I'm gonna guess it was him. I only remember purple smoke," I replied.

"A teleportation spell," The woman who declared this town 'hers' hummed. "Well who are you? Why did Gold want you?" She asked.

"Gold?" I asked, confused.

"That's his name here," The woman holding a child answered.

"Here?" I asked, still not understanding.

"We're not from here," The man next to her added.

"You're Canadian?" I asked with an understanding nod.

"Canadian? No, we're from the Enchanted Forest," The woman replied.

"The where now?"

"Believe me, it's a long and confusing story," The woman with blonde hair said, moving towards me with a roll of her eyes. "Why are you here?"

"Well, Goldilocks over there wanted to bring his son back to life using my immortality," I explained.

"Neal," The blonde whispered, looking down at the ground.

"You can bring my dad back?" A young voice asked. My gaze shifted to a young boy emerging from the middle of the crowd.

"Henry," The town owner warned. He stopped in his tracks but looked at me.

"He your son?" I asked the woman.

"Mine, actually," The blonde said. "Regina's his adoptive mother."

"That's confusing and I don't care enough," I deadpanned, turning on my heel and walking away.

"Wait!" The young boy called out. "Can you bring back my dad?" He asked.

"I don't know. But it'd cost me my child, so you can see my reluctance," I said. "It was weird to meet you guys, but I gotta get back to my friends," I said, finding the Winchester's energy and teleporting.

I opened my eyes, expecting to see Sam and Dean but I came face to face with a red line across the road and a sign that said 'Welcome to Storybrooke'.

"You gotta be kidding me," I sighed. I lifted my foot to cross the line but was sent flying backwards as a gold barrier appeared where the red line was. As usual, I expected to go flying into the ground but the grunting sound behind me and the soft landing I had told me a different story.

"Papa!" A young female voice called from behind me. I looked up to see a girl with red hair and a picnic basket looking down at me. Another groan from below me brought me to my senses and I quickly stood up.

"I'm really sorry," I said, helping the man to his feet. He was also clad in complete black – was that a town wide fetish or something – and had a scarf around his neck. "Are you hurt?"

"Don't worry about it. All that's been hurt is my pride," He tried to smile but it came out as a wince as he tried to put weight on his foot.

"Ah that's my fault," I sighed as he hissed in pain. "Can I help you get home?" I offered.

"Sure, thanks," The man smiled at me. His strong jaw-line and blue eyes made me curse the fact I was in a relationship, though for how much longer I wasn't sure. "Grace, come on," He called to the young girl. I took his right arm and slung it over my shoulder so he could lean on me.

"That your daughter?" I asked.

"Yeah, we were out picking mushrooms," He replied, smiling at the young girl.

"There are mushrooms out here?" I questioned, looking around the forest.

"If you know where to look there are always mushrooms," Grace smiled at me. She was precious.

"I'm Jefferson," The man said, holding his hand out to me.

"Alex, but I think I'll hold off on the hand shake until you're not draped over me," I replied with a grin. He nodded and let his arm fall to his side.

"It's not far up that way," Jefferson said, pointing to the left and I adjusted his arm on my shoulder to be able to carry him better. "What brings you to Storybrooke?"

"Believe me, it's a long, long story," I sighed, rolling my eyes at whole situation.

"Maybe you'll spill over a nice cup of tea," He offered.

"That's very nice of you, but I think I need to be looking for a way to get out of here," I replied.

"You can't leave?" He questioned.

"Apparently," I nodded. We passed a large row of trees and I saw a huge house that seemed more like a mansion in front of me. "You live here?" I asked in awe. It wasn't the Mikaelson manor but it was beautiful.

"Yeah, this is our home," Jefferson nodded.

"Just the two of you?"

"We're family. We stay together," Grace said as she swung the basket around. I smiled at the words that reminded me of my second family.

"Family above all," I added.

"That's right," The young girl cheered, a huge smile appearing on her face. I let Jefferson go so he could open the front door and followed the family inside.

So, what did you think of this chapter? I hope you all liked it because it was such a new thing for me to write so many different tv shows. Hopefully a lot of you watch Once Upon a Time so it's not very confusing to you. If you don't and it is, you're in the same boat as Alex and things will be explained lots in the next few chapters!

To my reviewers:

winxgirl1997 - Thank you so much for your review! I am so sorry for taking so long to update but I hope you are still on this journey with me and you enjoyed this chapter!

Kellyxo - Thank you so much for your review! Hopefully you're not too upset that I had to change things with Klaus being the father to Alex's baby. I get the feeling you kind of liked that but not to fear, there's still a lot to happen to this story so hopefully you won't be too disappointed. Glad you like Sam and Dean being back cause they're going to be a big part of the story from now on!

Guest - Thank you so much for your review! Yep, there's a baby on board and with that is going to come a lot of tough things for Alex. Can't let her be happy can I? :) I think Damon and Stefan will be out of the story for a while but we'll be going back to Mystic Falls soon!

grapejuice101 - Thank you so much for your review! Is it bad that I'm glad I made you cry? Not because I wanted you to cry but because my writing did what is was supposed to! So sorry for the long update but I really hope you liked this chapter and can't wait to hear you response!

SomebodyWhoCares - Thank you so much for your review! Yeah, at the last second, Damon finally gets a brain. But is it too late or was it just at the right time? I am so happy you like the Winchesters being in this story because they're going to be a big part of it from now on!

Guest - Thank you so much for your review! I'm really glad you liked the last chapter and I'm so sorry you had to wait so long, I can only hope you're still with me!

Random2Friends - Thank you so much for your review! I never liked Elena in her vampire form, especially when she turned off her emotions, that was the worst! So I'm taking a bit of a break from her and concentrating on other parts of the story. Hopefully the way I've got Alex's pregnancy plans out is of interest to you and you'll enjoy it! Let me know what you thought of the reveal here!

Nicole - Thank you so much for your review! I love reading your reviews, as always, so let's get stuck in with this one! As you can now see, it's a magical bay so things aren't going to be easy for anyone involved!

Rebekah and Alex's friendship seemed too good to be true to me, so of course they needed to see if they could stand the test of loss. Of betrayal so it'll be nice when Rebekah comes back into the story to see how they cope with each other and how they mend their friendship!

Alaric was one of my favourite characters, and he always will be. I was so sad when I had to kill him off but, I'm not promising anything, but that may not be the last time we see our beloved Alaric. Especially with the new information Alex has learned about her immortality.

I'm really glad you're liking how I'm writing Elijah! To me, he was always someone who took no shit when it came to his family, even if it was from his family itself. I think Kol was more defending Alex than Elena but it was a different side to him. We see how much Kol actually cares for Alex and its a scary thing!

I am so happy you like the fact Sam and Dean are back in it because I will be keeping them in it for the forseeable future as I've got a lot planned with those boys and Castiel too!

I'm actually taking a bit of a break from the Mystic Falls gang, mainly because Alex as a character doesn't deal with grief and loss well, so keeping her distance is the only thing that is keeping her sane at the moment.

I am very sorry however at the fact I had to change Klaus as the father of the baby but it just didn't work at the moment in time but believe me, there will be a lot of fighting between a lot of the Originals coming, challenging their familial bond is something I love to do!

Unfortunately there won't be any Mystic Falls people for a while but it will be very heartfelt when they do go back and I'll include many a Damon/Alex/Stefan scene in there! Thanks again for your review and I can't wait to see what you thought of this chapter!

Petalflora - Thank you so much for your review! What a nice review! I am so glad to have people like you that support me no matter what I chose to do with the story! Thank you for the simple yet heart-warming review!

Atlafan1286 - Thank you so much for your review! I'm really glad you liked the last chapter and I'm glad you liked how I changed the season finale! I knew I wan't gong to make it very similar to the actual story so I'm glad it went over well! I'm glad you're excited for this story to be going a bit AU because I feel like I need to spread my creative wings, so to speak, and just do what I want to do! Believe me, I'm not going to make this story go anywhere near the cure because that was such a stupid plot line for a season! Sorry for making you wait so long, I just hope you're still with me and the story!

Marissa - Thank you so much for your review! I'm sorry that I couldn't please you but Kol isn't going anywhere anytime soon, so sorry about that! I'm glad you ship Stefan and Alex but I don't think that's where the story is going at the moment! I hope you do stick with the story though!

mortega22 - Thank you so much for your review! Well, it was the White Oak Stake that she was stabbed with, the magical properties of the weapon caused a delay in her healing abilities but she's alive so all is well! Well, Sam and Dean have known Alex for a while now, they're friends so they wouldn't kill their friend. Same way they never killed Castiel despite him going all crazy on them :P Yep, the Salvatore brothers are blind and too late - for the moment! - Hopefully I've explained everything about how Alex is pregnant and if not just let me know! So happy you love this story!

Prettygirl16 - Thank you so much for your review! Unfortunately, since this story is going slightly AU I'm not sure how much of season 4 I'm going to incorporate into this story if any of it. Alex will of course be going back to Mystic Falls, but I'm thinking of making my own take on events instead of following season 4. But I do hope you'll still read the story!

HPuni101 - Thank you so much for your review! It was your review that made me realise I had to update, screw what was happening in my life, so this chapter is all thanks to you! I am beyond chuffed you like this story, I literally put my heart and soul into each and every word so I'm really glad it's paying off, though I do hope you haven't hurt your grades by not studying, they are definitely more important than this story, though I am beyond touched you thought my story was good enough to not study over!

Thank you so much for your compliments, they are greatly appreciated and I'm glad that everything I'm trying to get through is coming across in Alex's character! I am not Elena's biggest fan but I am trying to redeem myself in that light. I think I need to try and work on their relationship a bit more when Elena comes back into the story. It's going to be a big part of the story when it comes to it!

Yeah, I felt like it was too cliched for Alex to end up with one of the Salvatore brothers, especially when they both never paid much attention to her and seemed to pick Elena over her. I felt like it would be a big step backwards in Alex's character development if she decided to get with one of them because they finally were interested in her after too long. I understand you not being a big fan on Kol, as a character who's potential was stripped away before it could even be explored I really wanted to try and do him justice but it's very hard when you have so little to go off. However, as with this story, nothing is ever set in stone with Alex's relationships (expect from her and Alaric) and things have gotten shaky between the two of them right now. So we'll have to wait and see how that goes!

Yep, Season 4 and 5 didn't cut it for me so i felt like doing my own thing which I really hope people will like and appreciate! Technically Castiel is a character I'm using from Supernatural so he isn't really mine, but the backstory between the two of them is! Rebekah and Alex will have their moment to reconcile! But every good friendship has to face the tests of betrayal and pain to see if they can stand the test of time and Alex and Rebekah are no different. The struggle will be long but hopefully real too!

**IMPORTANT A/N - I know things are getting very crazy with the story but I have decided to do my own take on the rest of the Vampire Diaries and it's crossovers. To be honest, I really like doing crossovers and I hope people will stick with me when I tell them that the Winchesters will be main characters in this story from now on. I really hope I don't upset people with this but it is my story, my plot and it's my motivation.

This story is already a long one and I only plan on it getting much, much longer so please let me know that you're going to be here with me to face it all! I am beyond sorry I had to make you wait for so long but I hope you stick with me for the run of this story and know that your loyalty to me and this story means everything to me!

If you could please review this chapter, just so I know that I'll still have people who are interested in this story now that it's going a different route to what you probably expected. Just even a word so I know you guys are still here. I may not deserve it for having made you wait do long but it would make me feel so much better about my plans for this story. Even if you hate the idea please just let me know! **

As always guys please review and let me know what you think! You guys are my life and I love each and everyone of you so freaking much! I will see you all in Chapter 39!
