Sakamaki Sister

Aria's eyes flutter open as her tiredness is already finished throughout her long slumber. The birds' chirping assists in waking her up even further.

"Alright, alright… I'm up" she sleepily mumbles with a yawn.

She gets up and stretches a little; pushing the rest of her drowsiness away. Once fully awake, she looks at the window to see that the sun is already high up. Sighing, she takes a new set of clothes from the wardrobe and goes in the bathroom.

Taking her clothes off, she finally notices that the stitches on her stomach is new. Did he…? Shaking her head, she dismisses the thought.

The tap of the bathtub is cold; almost freezing. Her small hand quickly turns it to let the warm water flow out; quickly filling the bathtub with steaming water. Her eyes stare intently at the other girl on the surface of the water; reminding her so much of a certain… woman. She sighs.

"How should I thank them?" she mumbles as the mysterious voice's words repeats in her head.

She dips herself into the tub; the water relaxes many of her tense muscles. A relieved sigh escapes her lips as she sinks in deeper into the water. I need to think for a while.

"Hmm… Well, most of my wounds are already revealed: arm, stitches, wrist, shoulder blade, and my reaction to the full moon. I bit Ayato…" she then blushes at the thought of getting bitten, "And also… that music box" she lowers her head until about half her face is in the water. She sighs; making bubbles. No need to fuss over that now.

Her fingers tap the bathtub's side in a tune – that familiar song that she only remembers the melody – taught by someone who she had long forgotten. This action stays for a little bit longer before she decides that she's done bathing.

Slowly, she emerges from the water and gets a towel to dry herself. Her red eyes are a little out of color today, maybe she's still tired from the outing? Not worrying herself too much about it, she slips on her daily casual attire and exits the bathroom.

"I think I'll go for a walk today; it's such a lovely day" she mumbles while looking outside.

A wide smile plasters itself onto her face as she steps outside to the still fresh morning outside air, she deeply breathes in the dewy scent of nature. Her feet the swiftly glides along the garden in a dance-like manner; herself almost dancing.

Truth be told, she's got quite the talent in the art of dance. Watching people dance around when she was a child made her want to do it as well, but her condition limited that possibility, so she just observed. Soon enough, she manages to remember the steps perfectly and tried so when she was getting better. It feels wonderful to dance again.

Along the paved pathways, through the rosebush rimmed garden, passing the fountain, and she ends up on the far side of the mansion's backyard; where the lake situates. Nearby, there's also a forest. She ignores it, though.

She walks over to the dock and dips her toes into the cold water, sometimes splashing it. The birds around her chirp happily at her presence; they even fly down and rest their wings not too far from where she's sitting.

Feeling tranquil, she hums that particular song again. The lyrics are a complete blur to her, not even one she remembers; just the tune of that song that's similar to a lullaby. She keeps on humming the song for a while; over and over again, much like a music box.

In the middle of her humming, she hears a faint sound from the forest. Moving all her attention from the lake's view to the sound, her curiosity perks up. She stands up and heads to where the sound is from. No, it can't be any of my brothers nor Yui-Chan. They would never wake up this early… Right? She starts to doubt.

Walking further in, she warily searches for the source of the sound. She hears it again.

"What is that?" she asks herself.

Looking around, she sees nothing but the hazy view of the slightly foggy morning, and trees everywhere, too. She keeps looking around for the sound's source; her curiosity taking over her senses. Her steps pause when she reaches the center of the forest. She looks around in panic.

"Oh no, I-I think I'm lost…" she mumbles.

Since she can only pay attention to one thing at a time, she didn't realize how far she had ventured; she was too focused on finding the sound. Her red eyes look around for either the way she came or the sound's source. No luck so far.

A little bit unnerved she keeps on looking with high hopes, still. It's not that bad. As always, she looks at the positive side of things: the forest's soothing atmosphere soothes her, too, from the tenseness of the mansion.

The sound that she heard before then gets louder and louder.

"This way?"

She quickly walks to where the sound is coming from; louder and louder. Her breath is a little uneven from too much walking, her eyes are looking at all directions, and her curiosity is growing more and more.

Finally, she reaches a set of bushes; where the sound is coming from. Worrying not of it, she digs through the bush eagerly. The sound just keeps getting louder each time she pulls a branch away.

Her eyes grow wide when she sees the source of the sound lying down sadly while looking at her with pleading eyes. To her surprise, her heart fell when she sees this.

"Hello, there" she says softly with a smile.

The only reply she gets is the same sound that she's been hearing. So cute. She can't help but blush a little at it.

"L-Let's get you out now, I'd feel bad if I left you here" she ushers.
