A/N: I do not own Warriors or this idea. The Erins and Spottedeyes have ownership of it. Surprise! Another chapter update! Every weekend instead of updating Reaper Saturday, I'll also be doing it Sunday! So two updates of Reaper every week!

Embersong basked in the sun next to her mate. The gleam of the light warmed the former queen with a smile.

"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, join me beneath the Highledge for a Clan meeting," Dovestar's voice rant out. When everyone gathered, the leader continued, "Today is a special day for three kits. Skykit, Runningkit, and Brightkit please come forward. Runningkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Runningpaw. Your mentor will be Brindlefur. I hope she will pass down all she knows on to you. Brindlefur, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from Snowfeather, and you have shown yourself to be brave and intelligent. You will be the mentor of Runningpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to him." Dovestar finished. Runningkit touched noses with Brindlefur as Dovestar turned to Brightkit. Like before, she began the ceremony the same.

"Brightkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Brightpaw. Your mentor will be Embersong. I hope she will pass down all she knows on to you." Embersong stood shocked for a moment. She was going to get her first apprentice!

"Ember, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from Pebblewing, and you have shown yourself to be intelligence and loyal. You will be the mentor of Brightpaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her." The silver tabby apprentice padded up to her mentor and touched noses with her. They watched the rest of the ceremony.

"Finally Skykit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Skypaw. Your mentor will be Brackenshade. I hope he will pass down all he knows on to you. Brackenshade, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You had received excellent training from Echofrost, and you have shown yourself to be skillful in battle and swift. You will be the mentor of Skypaw, and I expect you to pass on all you know to her." Embersong gasped. Why did that tom have to train Skypaw? Not only that, but now she'd have to train with the horrid tom.

"So what are we going to do first? See the territory? Go hunting? Climb a tree? Start battle training," the tabby asked.

"Just give me a moment," Embersong told her apprentice. Brightpaw nodded and waited for her mentor. The dark grey warrior padded up to Dovestar.

"Why did you give him an apprentice," the she-cat asked her leader. Dovestar didn't answer.

"You know what he did to me! What he did to my kits! Brackenshade can't be trusted, Dovestar. Why did you give him an apprentice right when I had one," Embersong asked. Dovestar sighed.

"Embersong, just because you two have a falling out doesn't mean I have to treat him any different. He is still a warrior and I must treat everyone the same. Now what he did was wrong, but everyone deserves a second chance," the leader replied. Embersong growled, but didn't press any longer. Padding away, Embersong smiled at Brightpaw.

"So are we going to explore first? Go hunting? Start battle training," the apprentice asked excitedly.

"I believe we should explore the territory first. That way when we start to practice hunting and fighting. After all, it makes sense. Now, are you ready," the warrior asked. Brightpaw nodded and the two headed out. First, the two she-cats padded to the ShadowClan border.

"Okay Brightpaw, here we have our border with ShadowClan. Do you notice how on both sides there's a barren area before the borders meet?" Embersong paused and waited for her apprentice to reply. After a few moments, Brightpaw nodded. The tabby then gasped.

"Is this the area of territory that has been fought over for countless moons?! Like during the times of the three and Ivypool? When Okastar of ThunderClan and Yellowstar of ShadowClan fought for it? To where Ashstar of ShadowClan made I the border split here," the apprentice asked excitedly. Embersong nodded.

"Has Pebblewing told you stories of this area," Embersong asked. Her apprentice nodded her head. The warrior was instantly transported back to the moment of the truce with ThunderClan.

Blood was everywhere. Cats laid dead or injured and not one side hadn't lost any cats. Ashstar gazed down at the bloody mess with sadness pricking her heart like a needle. The Light grey she-cat knew what had to be done.

"Mothstar, we need to talk," the she-cat began. The ThunderClan leader padded over.

"What is it," the tom asked with a sigh.

"This has gone for long enough. We need to do something about it."

"What, ThunderClan gets this strip of territory," the golden tom asked. Ashstar shook her head.

"No, we should split it up evenly. There should be no more war or battling over this useless patch. Too many warriors lost their lives with this from both Clans. I declare this over," the ShadwClan she-cat yowled. Mothstar nodded and his clan turned away.

"So where else will we be going? The Sky Oak, the old twoleg nest, the stream by WindClan," Brightpaw asked excitedly. Snapping out of her memory, Embersong smile.

"One at a time Brightpaw. How about we got to the twoleg nest first? Then to the other landmarks," the warrior suggested. The new apprentice nodded with a wide grin. Both she-cats began to go and Embersong felt happy. Finally I can be a normal warrior, the former queen thought. But, she was far from that.

It's been a long time since a flashback!

QOTD: What do you think of Brightpaw?
