I'm back with another chapter. This one was 16 pages on my computer. Holy crap! I'll be honest, it was going so long that I got a little lazy toward the end. Sorry. Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Also, the elimination was chosen at random between three contestants because I did not want to directly choose because they are three awesome characters.
I had hoped to finish this last night, but 2 am hit and I needed to sleep. I've been busy the past few days. Mom had to have surgery on her toe on Tuesday and then she had to have a tumor removed from her arm on Wednesday. I have to work Saturday so I wanted to get this done ASAP because I have to cook dinner tonight before I go to the Relay for Life to do my Cancer Survivor lap. Then on Sunday, my grandma is taking us grandkids (and Carlos) to go see Minions
Carlos is moving in with us for a week until his parents can come get him. He had to drop his class so he won't have to pay for them. That meant he needed somewhere to go because he had to leave the dorms. SO he is leaving and I probably won't see him for a long time after he goes. It sucks.
ALSO IMPORTANT THING AFTER THE CHAPTER!
Disclaimer: I don't own Total Drama. All characters belong to their creators.
Ethan stood on the hotel porch with his signature, cocky grin plastered on his face.
"Last time on Total Drama Abandoned, Matt got the boot for being a terrible surrogate parent to a robotic baby. He somehow misplaced it giving Joe the opportunity to hide it. Joe kissed another guy and Josh learned the truth about our favorite 'cowboy.' Alec and Dominic are still in a love triangle with my hot intern and neither one stands a chance of getting the girl. Find out what happens next in this episode of Total Drama Abandoned!" he smirked and laughed.
Dominic grinned proudly as he stared at his reflection in the bathroom mirror. Today was the day. After weeks of seeing Annie's pretty face and getting to know her even lovelier personality, he was finally going to ask her out. He wanted to look his best for the occasion, so he chose the nicest clothing he brought with him to the competition. This outfit consisted of black slacks, a white button up, and a black tie. He adjusted his tie for the third time before taking a deep breath.
"You can do this Dominic. She's just a girl," he tried to ease his nervousness. He took another breath before stepping back into the room he shared with Alec. His roommate stood in front of the small mirror above the dresser as he fixed his hair. When Alec noticed Dominic from the corner of his eye, he looked suspicious.
"What do you have planned today?" He asked his friend.
Dominic straightened his posture and smoothed a wrinkle in his slacks. "Today is the day that I am going to ask Annie out. If Leonard could get Penny, I'm fairly certain Dominic can get Annie."
Alec turned his body around and crossed his arms. "I planned on asking Annie out today," he stared at his friend. "What makes you think she'll choose you? I fixed her phone."
"Fixing a teenage girl's phone does not mean she will pick you. I am smarter. And let's not forget that I was a Possum Scout. She was very captivated with my knot tying skills."
Alec took a step towards his friend with some newly found confidence. Annie made him feel special. He had opened up to her. Hell, he trusted her. "Then I guess the only way to settle this is to ask Annie who she would rather be with."
Dominic nodded in agreement. He was positive that Annie would choose him over Alec.
Josh paced back and forth around Mia's room while she sat on her bed. Halo had stayed the night with Joe again while Leah and Jamie had already headed to breakfast together.
Josh stopped in front of Mia and took a deep breath. "Mia, do you remember when we went to that one restaurant where I got the chicken and you got the salad," He spoke rapidly. "And my chicken wasn't really chicken?"
"Um, yeah. Are you talking about the time they gave you the fried rat?" Mia gave her best friend a confused expression.
Josh nodded and began rapidly speaking again, "Yeah. I think we may have a fried rat in our midst that is disguising itself as a chicken."
Mia stared at him for several seconds in disbelief. "What?"
Josh's Confessional: "I needed to tell someone about Joe. Mia is really the only person that I trust 100% in this competition. She and I have been best friends since middle school. She knows me and what I'm trying to say. Sometimes, it even feels like we share a brain and thoughts!"
Mia's Confessional: ...Josh… *sighs irritably* Josh sometimes starts saying things that don't make any sense… I love him and he's my best friend, but after a while I just smile and nod because it gets to a point where I don't even think he knows what he's talking about." *sighs again* "That was one of those times."
Jamie and Leah sat alone in the cafeteria. Everyone else was apparently too preoccupied to eat the most important meal of the day. After Chef dished out the slopped onto their trays, they were wishing that they had skipped breakfast too.
Jamie poked at what was supposed to be an omelet on her plate. It was grey and oozing a black liquid that she was sure could kill her. Deciding to pass on breakfast today, she downed a glass of orange juice before looking at Leah.
"I don't think I'm hungry anymore," she poked her omelet again. Leah sighed as she poked at a piece of sausage causing it to deflate like a balloon.
Leah pushed the plate away from her and shook her head, "Me either. Want to just go back to the room?"
Jamie nodded. The two stood and headed for their room. They stopped when they heard voices coming from inside.
"Is that Josh and Mia?" Leah questioned as she put her ear to the door. Jamie nodded and mimicked the shorter girl's action. Both of them could easily hear through the door.
Mia sighed and stood. She placed her hands on Josh's shoulders to get him to stop pacing. "Josh, what is going on with you? You've been acting weird since the last challenge."
Josh flopped his body onto the bed with a frustrated groan. "I don't know what is wrong with me! I kissed Joe during the challenge and then learned that he is playing everyone like a fiddle."
Mia blinked surprised, "You kissed Joe?" She laughed softly. "Please tell me it was an accident."
Josh glared at his friend, "Of course it was an accident. Jamie and Halo hit me with their leech cannon. It knocked me off balance and I landed on top of Joe. Our lips just happened to touch."
Mia started to giggle. Then her giggles turned into chuckles. Then her chuckles turned to laughter. Soon she was clutching her sides and rolling back and forth on her bed as she cackled hysterically. Just then the door flew open.
"You kissed Joe?" Jamie looked at Josh with a strange look. Leah stood behind her feeling awkward at the whole situation.
Josh shook his head and stood. He looked at Jamie before saying, "It was an accident. I lost my balance and fell onto him, but that isn't the issue here. I overheard him in the confessional after Matt's elimination. He was the one who put Matt's baby-bot in that crate. He caused Matt to lose the challenge."
Leah frowned and crossed her arms, "Joe seems like a genuinely nice guy. Are you sure it was him?"
Josh nodded, "I recognized his voice only it was different. He spoke normally like the rest of you do. He didn't have a southern accent!"
Mia, who had stopped laughing minutes before, tapped her chin. "You are sure?"
Josh nodded and Mia continued to speak. "If Joe really is the antagonist of the show, then he's probably been playing poor Halo from the beginning."
Leah's eyes widened as something crossed her mind, "What if he was the one who broke Matt's game? The fight was only between Matt and Kris because no one suspected Joe of doing something like that!"
Jamie shook her in disbelief, "Then that means he's the reason Kris was voted off."
Mia sighed, "We have to warn Halo before she gets hurt. Who knows what Joe could be planning to do next."
Joe let out a content sigh. With Matt gone, he and Josh were the only ones in their room. Sure, Alec and Dominic could have moved into the room, but he was glad that the two nerds were down the hall. Josh was either always with Mia or always with Jamie. He had no idea what was going on between them and frankly he did not give a damn. With Josh out of the room, it gave him more time to himself. That is, unless Halo came over which had become a regular occurrence.
Currently, she was laying horizontal across his bed. She was on her stomach with her nose in a book. She was quiet for a change and he was very happy about that. He took the opportunity to jump in the shower for some alone time before his day was filled with pointless hours around all the other idiots.
When Joe exited the shower, his weird 'girlfriend' still had her nose jammed into her book. He rolled his eyes. Reading sucked. He never understood how someone could love staring at words on a page, but Halo managed to do it. He glanced at the cover of the book while he leaned against the doorframe between the bedroom and bathroom. "The Heir," it read. "Book Four of the Selection Series by Kiera Cass." It had a hot girl where some ugly, grey dress and even reading the title made him want to vomit.
Halo seemed to be enjoying herself though as she would often mumble to herself as if she was talking to the book. He remembered hearing her tell the book to go fuck itself. She turned another page. Her eyes were practically glued to the page. Joe tested her to see if she would notice anything on the outside world. He plopped down on the bed next to her and looked over her shoulder. By the way the print on the page looked, he guessed that she was reading a letter written from one character to another.
More provinces are protesting the monarchy than you could guess. Not all of them, but plenty. And while it pains me to tell you this, the problem people have with the monarchy stems from one person: you.
I don't know why—perhaps because of your youth, perhaps because of your gender, perhaps for reasons none of us could believe—but they worry. Dad's aging beyond his years. The stress of the amount things he's accomplished in his reign is bigger than his predecessors', and the general population thinks you will ascend soon, and they are not prepared.
I hate saying those words to you, but you've already kind of guessed at this. I didn't want to let you dwell on those thoughts hoping you could move past it. And I only tell you this because I think you can change their minds. Stop holding everyone at bat, Eadlyn. You can be brave and still be feminine. You can lead and still love flowers. Most importantly, you can be queen and still be a bride.
Joe cringed surprised that he had read as much of that trash as he did. Forgetting for a moment that Halo was lying next to him, he muttered, "garbage" under his breath. After realizing that he spoke without the accent, he inwardly panicked.
Halo seemed to finally realize that Joe was beside her. She turned her head to the side and smiled, "Did you say something, Joe?"
"Nah, Miss Halo, I was just readin' over yer shoulder," he chuckled nervously. "What's, uh, that book about?"
Halo's face brightened as she began telling Joe the story and plotline behind her favorite series. She started with the first book, The Selection.
Alec and Dominic met Annie in the saloon together. They needed an answer as to who she would be willing to date. It would probably ruin their friendship, but right now all they wanted was the girl.
Annie was already sitting at the table when the two fellas walked in. Both held a look of determination on their faces. Annie gave them both a warm smile and greeted them as usual.
"Hey guys! What's up?"
Dominic and Alec looked at one another and then Annie. It seemed at the exact moment they wanted to know who she would choose, they were both getting jittery and nervous. Sweat began to build on their faces as they sat down. Which one of them was going to grow the balls to ask her the question that they were dying to know?
They sat in awkward silence for several minutes before Annie spoke up.
"You two are being weirder than usual. What is bothering you?" She looked between both of them with a worried expression.
Alec took a deep breath. It seemed it was going to be him to pop the question. "We both really like you Annie, but we need to know which one of us you would be interested in dating."
Annie's smile faded into a frown. Her head cocked to the side confused. "Wait what?"
It was Dominic's turn to ride the train into Confidence Town. "We have both been competing for your affection, Annie. We are both infatuated with you. We both came here today to ask you out, but we need to know which one of us you would choose."
Annie gave them both a sad smile and bite her lip. "Guys. I already have a boyfriend. I was under the impression you just wanted to be friends. Besides, I figured you two were a couple."
Both boys paled and spoke in unison, "What?"
Annie chuckled nervously, "You just seemed so close. I thought maybe you were more than friends."
Alec and Dominic blinked in surprise before scooting an inch away from one another.
Annie sighed and took their hands in hers. "Look guys, you are both great. You are adorable cute. Any girl would be lucky to have you, but I'm not that girl. I was under the impression that we had a strictly platonic relationship," she let go of their hands and stood. "I'm sorry if you felt like I was leading you on, but my boyfriend and I are very happy together. Plus, my dad has a strict policy that I can't date the contestants on his show."
They paled again, "Dad?"
Annie nodded, "Chris is my dad and while technically he is only a co-host. Total Drama was his thing in the beginning. If you two were willing to ruin your friendship over me, then I don't think we need to be friends. Goodbye." With that Annie left the saloon. Alec and Dominic sat in their seats flabbergasted. Annie was Chris's daughter. How had they not noticed it before?
Ethan's voice came over the intercom, "Everyone meet in the warehouse on the West Side of town!"
Alec glanced at Dominic, "There's a warehouse here?" Dominic only shrugged still bummed about Annie.
Once everyone was inside the warehouse, Chef kicked on the lights. Suddenly, what was supposed to be an empty, abandoned warehouse was filled with several kitchens. Each kitchen was fully stocked with anything a chef might need to prepare any meal.
Ethan grinned, "Today's challenge is a little less physical and more foodical!" He laughed at his own terrible pun causing Chef and Chris to roll their eyes.
"This challenge is simple. Each of you will get a kitchen and an hour to make a meal for our celebrity guest, Rordon Gamsey!"
Several contestants stiffened in the presence of greatness. Others cringed because they knew the man was a dick.
"All you have to do for this challenge is cook a meal for Chef, Rordon, Chris, and I," Ethan explained. "You will be scored on taste, creativity, and presentation. The person with the highest score wins immunity. The person with the lowest score will be leaving for good. The only ingredient you must include is Ramen Noodles. There are also other cookbooks in case you want to mix recipes."
Halo's Confessional: "I was beginning to get worried about a cooking challenge. I can't cook to save my life. BUT I am a boss when it comes to making Ramen Noodles. I know over a hundred things you can do with them to make things interesting!"
"You will be rated on a scale of one to ten. Now man your cooking stations!" Ethan cheered.
Chef walked to each contestant and handed them a recipe card. Everyone ran over to the kitchens to begin. Ethan sounded the alarm for everyone to start.
Mia glanced at her card.
"I have to make a hamburger using ramen noodles?" She pondered how to make the burger but stay true to her vegetarian nature.
Mia's Confessional: "I decided to take a recipe for black bean burgers and mix it together with the recipe I was given by chef. Hopefully it won't be too bad. I love to cook! I make black bean burgers all the time! I know the recipe by heart."
She quickly gathered everything she would need. She turned on the grill so it was ready for the burgers. The ingredients she needed were half of a medium sized yellow onion, a tablespoon of chopped garlic, two cans of black beans, two tablespoons of cilantro, two tablespoons of parsley, an egg, half a teaspoon of pepper flakes, half a cup of bread crumbs, salt and pepper, and hamburger buns. I order to incorporate the ramen noodles, she dug through the basket on her counter and found the oriental flavored pack. Her recipe called for beef, but she knew that Oriental flavored ramen was vegetarian friendly.
She started cooking the noodles on the stove first. Then she began making the patties by putting the chopped pieces of garlic and onion, a can of black beans, the cilantro, the parsley, the egg, and the red pepper flakes. She pulsed the machine and combined the ingredients together. She scooped the concoction into a large bowl and added in the rest of the black beans as well as the bread crumbs. She sprinkled the salt, pepper, and half of the ramen noodle seasoning into the bowl and mixed it together. Once the noodles were done cooking, she drained them and mixed them into the bowl as well.
Once she was done mixing, she pressed the blob of goop into four patties. She tossed the patties onto the grill and cooked them for six minutes. She toasted the buns using the grill and then began to top them with the usual hamburger fixings.
She placed the burgers on a plate with potato chips. She stabbed toothpicks through the burgers on stuck green olives on the ends.
Josh looked at his card. He had to make spaghetti with ramen noodles.
Josh's Confessional: "I'll admit that I am not the greatest cook, but I can make decent spaghetti from scratch. If I can work harder on the presentation, then it may help for the mediocre taste."
Josh looked at his recipe and it seemed easy to do. All he needed were two packages of ramen noodles, spaghetti sauce, ground beef, and parmesan. Since he was making the sauce from scratch, he searched through one of the cookbooks on the counter. For the sauce he needed, two teaspoons of olive oil, half a small chopped onion, two chopped green onions, two teaspoons of crushed garlic, a can of peeled and diced tomatoes, four teaspoons of dried basil, four teaspoons of dried oregano, and a teaspoon of sugar.
"Bloody hell," he cursed as he stared into the spice rack. "What the hell is basil and oregano?" He had to scan the cabinet several times before he found them.
He took a large saucepan and heated the oil. He sautéed the onions and garlic. Then he stirred in the tomatoes, basil, oregano, and sugar. He brought the sauce to a boil the recipe said to simmer the sauce for twenty minutes, but Josh turned the heat a little higher to cook faster. While the sauce was cooking, he started to cook the ramen and brown the hamburger.
Once everything was finished, he used the remaining time to perfect the presentation. He carefully dropped the noodles into the middle of his square plates. He drizzled the sauce over the edges of the noodles so it made a flower. He added a little in the center to finish the flower. He smiled proudly to himself as he sprinkled parmesan cheese onto the centers of the spaghetti flowers.
Joe stared down at his card and smirked.
Joe's Confessional: "I was worried that this challenge might be hard for me. I will admit that my cooking may not be the best. In fact, it is probably only mildly edible, but I do believe that I got an easy recipe." *Holds up his card* "How hard is a Spring Salad to make?"
Joe had a long list of ingredients, but the only thing he needed to cook were the noodles. He needed two packages of the noodles, two teaspoons of sesame oil, three tablespoons of lemon juice, a third cup of vegetable oil, two teaspoons of sugar, a cup of grapes that were cut in half, half a cup of diced apples, half a cup of diced pineapple, three tablespoons of chopped green onion, eight ounces of smoked turkey breast cut into strips, and a fourth cup of walnut pieces.
When it came to measuring, Joe did not bother. He just guessed on how much of everything he needed. He began cooking the noodles. Afterward, he rinsed them with cold water, added sesame oil, put them in the fridge. While he waited on the noodles to cool, he started the dressing. He mixed lemon juice, vegetable oil, seasoning packets, and sugar together in a small bowl. He got impatient waiting on the noodles to cool so he made some buttered toast to go with the salad. He pulled the noodles from the fridge early and poured the dressing over the top. Then he tossed in the fruit, turkey, and walnuts. He shook the bowl a little to mix the salad.
He was about to dish out the salad onto the center of triangular plate, but he got a different idea. He arranged the toast on the corners of the plates and dropped the salad onto of the toast. He poured more dressing over the top and placed a sliced apple in the center. He shrugged and inwardly praised himself. He did not taste the salad, but he was impressed enough with the presentation that he did not want too.
Halo was excited and nervous at the same time. She loved ramen noodles. It seemed to be the only thing she could make so she was nervous when she read "ramen nachos" on her recipe card. She silently prayed thanking God that Ethan and Chris were humane enough to give them recipes to follow. She flipped through one of the other cookbooks looking for something that she could mix with her nachos.
Halo's Confessional: "I have worked as a waitress at so many Mexican restaurants that I really should know how to make guacamole, but the shit is so guac-a-nasty. BUT I'm going to suck it up and make some to top the nachos with."
She started making the guacamole first so it would have more time to cool in the fridge while she made everything else. She needed three avocados, a lime, a teaspoon of salt, a cup of diced onion, three tablespoons of fresh cilantro, two diced roma tomatoes, a teaspoon of minced garlic, and a pinch of ground cayenne pepper.
"How do you mince something?" She mumbled to herself as she did her best at attempting to mince the garlic. She also tried her best at peeling and pitting the avocados. She juiced the lime and cut everything that needed to me cut. She, like a Joe, did not measure anything. She did her best to guess.
In a bowl, she started to mash the avocados together with the lime juice and the salt. Once it was mashed, she stirred in the onion, cilantro, and tomatoes. Then she sprinkled the tiny bit of cayenne pepper and stirred it. She put the bowl in the fridge and started to make the nachos.
She needed a package of beef ramen noodles, half a cup of cubed American cheese, a cup of chili, a cup of crushed corn chips, a cup of sour cream, and a cup of chopped green onion. She started by cooking the noodles and then draining them. She mixed in half of the seasoning packet. She stirred the noodles, cheese, chili, and the chips. She heated it over the stove. The recipe said to heat it on low, but Halo turned the heat up a little higher to save time. The cheese melted and she dished it out on four small plates. The recipe only made two servings so she had to use the smallest amount possible on the plates. She garnished the tops with sour cream and a little bit of guacamole. Then she stuck a chip on one of its edges on the guacamole on each plate.
Jamie grinned happy. She loved to cook and she was talented. She looked down at her recipe card and it read "fiesta chicken." She had to go over the recipe a few times to make sure that she would get everything right.
Jamie's Confessional: "I love to cook, but because I'm used to cooking fast to feed several people all at once so my presentation may not be the best."
She needed a point of boneless and skinless chicken breasts cut into chunks, olive oil, half a cup of corn, half a cup of black beans, half a cup of black beans, two packages of Cajun chicken ramen, two sour cream and two table spoons of salsa. She also got out a bag of tortilla chips to crumble into the dish as well. She made a side of guacamole to go along with the food.
She browned the chicken in a frying pan with the olive oil. She mixed in the corn, black beans, and pepper. She sautéed it all until the vegetables tenderized. Then she cooked the noodles and added the seasoning packets. She mixed the noodles and chicken together before stirring in the sour cream, salsa, and a handle of crumbled tortilla chips. She dished it out on square plates. She sprinkled some sesame seeds on the top and slopped guacamole on the top.
Alec's recipe card was the only one to contain a desert. He was not exactly sure how someone could make a desert from ramen noodles, but he had to do it.
Alec's Confessional: "My cooking skills are decent, although, I'm not sure how well chocolate goes with ramen noodles." *Looks at recipe card* "By the way, what is a Chocolate Chino?"
Alec started by gathering his ingredients. He needed two packages of ramen, three cups of milk chocolate chips, two cups of mini marshmallows, half a cup of coconut, and half a cup of chopped walnuts. He also got out some caramel as his own little idea.
He preheated the oven to 350 degrees. He did not break the noodles. He put them in a greased eight by eight pan and covered them with several layers of chocolate chips and marshmallows. He drizzled the caramel along the top. He put them in the oven until the chocolate and marshmallows melted. Once it was finished cooking, he sprinkled the walnuts and coconut across the top and then put the pan in the fridge.
While the Chocolate Chinos were cooling in the fridge, Alec searched through a desert cook book. He looked for things that he could make to dip the chinos into. He found a peanut butter recipe. For the peanut butter, he needed fifteen ounces of shelled and skinned peanuts, a teaspoon of salt, a teaspoon and a half of honey, and one and a half teaspoons of peanut oil.
He used the food processor to ground and mix the peanuts, honey, and salt. Then he scraped the sides, positioned the lid back onto the processor. He slowly drizzled in the peanut oil as he processed the mixture until it became smooth. Afterwards, he scooped it out into three tiny bowls and placed them on three circular plates.
Alec looked at the clock and noticed he still had about twenty minutes until the end of the challenge. He quickly scanned through the desert book again looking for something else to go along with his chocolate chinos. Finding nothing, he settled for decorating the plates with caramel and chocolate while he finished waiting for the chinos to cool. He made a spiral pattern on each plate with the caramel and chocolate syrups. Then he brought the chinos from the fridge. He cut them into bars with a large knife and carefully placed a three in the shape of a triangle on each plate. He dabbed whipped cream in the center of the triangle and topped it with a cherry. He glanced at the clock and there were still a few minutes until the challenge was over.
Dominic was not worried about this challenge. Cooking was yet another skill that was required for Possum Scouts to know.
Dominic's Confessional: "I have excellent cooking skills, but they gave me such a simple recipe. I'll have to make something on the side in order to use up all my time."
Dominic commenced gathering the ingredients for his Tropical Ramen. His recipe only made two servings so he needed to double everything. He needed four packages of ramen noodles, four cups of cooked ham, two cups of pineapple chunks, two cups of crispy Chinese noodles, and two stalks of celery.
He began cooking the noodles and while he waited he sliced the celery and ham. When the noodles were done, he drained then then rinsed them with cold water. He stirred the celery, ham, and pineapple into the pan then set a serving on each triangular plate. He sprinkled coconut shavings on the tops as his own creative idea.
He flipped through another cookbook looking for a side dish to prepare. He found a recipe for roasted garlic lemon broccoli. He preheated the oven to 400 degrees. He gathered two heads of broccoli, two teaspoon of extra-virgin olive oil, a teaspoon of salt, half a teaspoon ground black pepper, a clove of garlic, and half a teaspoon of lemon juice. He separated the broccoli into florets, and minced the garlic.
He tossed the broccoli into a large bowl with the olive oil, sea salt, garlic, and pepper. He mixed it around to cover the broccoli. Then he spread it out on a baking sheet. He baked it for fifteen minutes. When he pulled it out of the oven. He squeezed lemon juice over all the broccoli and set a floret on each corner of the plates.
Leah took a deep breath to calm her nervousness. She needed to make lasagna using ramen. That would not be too hard…Hopefully.
Leah's Confessional: "I'm so clumsy when I cook. I make a huge mess. My cooking isn't bad, but I couldn't say it is great. My presentation skills will definitely be better than the food."
She started by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. She began looking for all the ingredients. She needed two packages of ramen noodles, two cups of spaghetti sauce, a cup of ricotta cheese, a cup of grated mozzarella cheese, and a cup of parmesan cheese.
She began cooking the noodles, but splashed some water onto the floor as she brought the pan to the stove. Once the noodles were finished, she drained them and stirred the spaghetti sauce into them. She split a fourth of the can on the counter. She got out an eight by eight pan and layered the noodles and cheeses several times. She dropped several pieces of cheese. She baked the lasagna in the oven for twenty minutes.
She made some garlic bread to go along with the lasagna. She took bread and cut it in half. She melted butter and garlic into a bowl and poured it onto the bread. She baked it for a few minutes and then sliced it. While she waited for the lasagna to finish, she worked on decorating the plates.
She made a star pattern on her square plates using balsamic vinegar. She cut four tomatoes to look like roses. She made a huge mess with the tomato juice. Once the lasagna was done, she carefully placed a scoop on each of her four plates. The she gently placed a mint leaf on the top of the lasagna. Then she placed her tomato roses on the leaves.
The timer went off signaling the end of the challenge. Ethan, Chris, Chef, and Rordon walked to each kitchen station to score the food.
Mia was first. She smiled nervously. "I mixed two recipes together. I make black bean burgers all the time at home because I am a vegetarian. So I mixed that recipe with the ramen burger one."
"Very creative, Mia," Rordon complimented giving her a score of eight for creativity.
"Meh," Chris grumbled. "It sounds gross. I give you a four for creativity."
Chef stood in front of his plate staring at the burger as if it had a soul. "Nine," he simply stated.
Ethan frowned, "Black beans and ramen? I agree with Chris. It sounds awful." He gave her a four.
Mia's total score for creativity equaled up to twenty-five.
The judges began scoring her for presentation.
Rordon stared at the burger and raised an eyebrow at the vegetarian, "There were better ways to present this than by just putting a stick and an olive through the bun…Three."
Chris shrugged, "It's simple. I don't like simple…Three."
Chef continued to stare into his burger's soul, "The olive was a nice touch...Five."
Ethan wrinkled his nose and pulled the toothpick out of his burger. He tossed it in the trash, "Olives are the spawn of Satan himself. I hate them…Two."
Mia's overall presentation score was thirteen.
Now it was time to taste it. Mia twiddled her thumbs as she watched each judge take a bite. She was nervous.
Rordon coughed and shook his head, "Wretched. Absolutely awful. Two." He spat it out into the trash and dumped his burger there as well.
Chris gagged after taking a bite. His burger also ended up in the trash. "Two."
Chef took a bite and grinned, "Mia, this is one of the best things that I have ever eaten." He wiped a tear from his eye and gave her a nine.
Ethan reluctantly took a bite considering an olive had been near his burger. His nose wrinkled dissatisfied, but he gave her a three.
Her total score for taste equaled sixteen. Her final score was fifty-four.
Josh was next. He stood visibly nervous in front of the judges.
"I made spaghetti using ramen noodles instead of spaghetti noodles. The spaghetti sauce is made from scratch."
Rordon looked at the plate, "I admire the fact that you made the sauce instead of using a can of it…Five."
Chris looked at him unimpressed, "You made spaghetti. Big whoop. The only difference is you used ramen. That was the point…Three."
Chef stared into the spaghetti's soul, "Six."
Ethan shrugged, "I like spaghetti…Six."
Josh's final score for creativity was twenty.
Rordon looked at the presentation, "I like the flower, but I did not use enough sauce for the amount of noodles on the plate. Three."
Chris laughed at the design, "A flower was all you could come up with?" He continued laughing as he gave Josh a four.
Chef continued to stare into the spaghetti's soul, "Five."
Ethan shrugged, "I like flowers…Seven"
Rordon looked at Ethan with a confused expression, "Have you ever judged food before? Because you can't give a high score for only liking something."
Ethan shook his head, "Never."
Rordon sighed, "That explains your stupidity."
Josh's total presentation score was nineteen.
Rordon took a bite, "The sauce is a little burnt, but otherwise the taste isn't horrible. It isn't good, but it isn't horrible. I give you a five."
Chris took a bite, "It is burnt…Three."
Chef was still staring into the soul of the spaghetti as he took a bite. His face lit up happily. "The burnt flavor gives it pizazz…Seven."
Ethan took a bite, "It is better than my mom's spaghetti. She fed it to the cat and then the cat died…Five."
His total taste score was twenty. His final score for all three categories was fifty-nine.
Joe was next. He stood in front of the judges with a goofy grin on his face to keep his persona going.
"Ah made a Spring Salad."
Rordon gave the boy a scowl. "Wipe that grin off your face," he snapped. Joe's grin disappeared as they began to score him.
Rordon continued to scowl, "When I was watching you cook, I noticed that you did not measure anything. You also did not do anything else to change the recipe to make it more creative. I give you a two."
Chris looked at the salad, "Nothing about the recipe stands out since you did not try to make it creative. Nice presentation though…Three."
Chef stared into the soul of Joe's dish, "Two."
Ethan shrugged, "I like Spring Salads. They have lots of goodies. I give you a five."
Joe's total score for creativity equaled twelve.
Rordon looked at the presentation. "I like that you decided to put the salad on bread. I like the simplicity. The apple was a nice touch…Six."
Chris frowned, "Bread and salad do not go together…Four."
Chef was yet again staring into the soul of the salad, "Five."
Ethan shrugged, "This is the first time I have seen Spring Salad on bread. Six."
Joe's total presentation score was twenty-one.
Rordon took a bite and spit it out. "The bread is stale…Four."
Chris took a bite and cringed, "The bread is stale and it has walnuts…Four."
Chef took a bite, "Six."
Ethan scrapped the salad off the bread and took a bite, "So good! I give it an eight."
Joe's taste score equaled twenty-two. His total score for all three categories was fifty-five.
Halo was next. She stood looking proud behind the counter.
"I made Ramen nachos with homemade guacamole."
Rordon glared at the girl, "I saw that you did not measure anything either. I hope you did not butcher your nachos…Four."
Chris frowned, "There aren't whole chips to dip into the nachos…Four."
Chef stared into the soul of Halo's nachos, "Six."
Ethan wrinkled his nose, "Guacamole. Nastymole…Five-a-mole."
Halo's total creativity score was nineteen.
Rordon stared at the presentation. "It is simple and I like the chip sticking up. Also, your guacamole looks green not brown. Six."
Chris frowned again, "There is only one chip on the top…Five."
Chef stared at the nacho's soul, "Four."
Ethan wrinkled his nose, "It still has guacamole…Five."
Halo's total presentation score totaled to be twenty.
Now it was time to taste it. Rordon took the first bite, "It is good. The guacamole is delicious…Six."
Chris took the next bite, "Oh! There are crumbled chips inside…Seven."
Chef took a bite, "Doesn't taste interesting enough…Four."
Ethan took a bite. He tried not to get any guacamole, but he did anyway. "Ew! Nasty. Guacamole in my mouth…Three."
Halo's final score for taste was twenty. Her overall score come to fifty-nine.
Jamie was next. "I made fiesta chicken. I added tortilla chips to give it a little bit of a crunch then topped it with sesame seeds and guacamole."
Rordon nodded, "Your guacamole looks good. Interesting idea for the tortilla chips…Six."
Chris nodded, "Nice touch with the chips. I like tortilla chips…Five."
Chef stared into the soul of the chicken. "Eight."
Ethan wrinkled his nose again, "I hate guacamole. I am giving you a two because I just had to eat the nasty shit."
Jamie's total for creativity was twenty-one.
Rordon cringed at her presentation, "It looks as if it was run over by a truck…Three."
Chris frowned, "Sesame seeds and guacamole…Interesting combination…Four."
Chef continued to judge the chicken's soul, "Five."
Ethan shook his head, "Nope. I give you a three, but I'm being generous."
Jamie's total score for presentation was fifteen.
Rordon took a bite and his eyes widened, "I do say, Jamie, this is brilliant…Eight."
Chris took a bite, "Wow, seven"
Chef took a bite and his eyes filled with tears again, "Nine."
Ethan would not even take a bite, "Three, it has guacamole. I am not eating the crap again."
Jamie's final score for taste was twenty-seven. Her overall score came to fifty-three.
Alec's desert was next to be judged. He stood looking nervous. "I made, uh, Chocolate Chinos. I followed the recipe, but added a caramel drizzle and peanut butter for dipping the chinos into."
Rordon nodded, "You actually managed to make a desert with ramen noodles sound appetizing. Well done. I give it a Seven."
Chris wrinkled his nose a bit, "A desert made from ramen. It sounds a little sketchy…Five."
Chef stared at the Chinos as he judged their soul. "Six."
Ethan sniffed the peanut butter and grinned, "Yummy. I give you an eight."
Alec's total creativity score came to twenty six.
Rordon nodded impressed with Alec's presentation. "Nice job on the spiral design with the syrups. Interesting use of whipped cream…Seven"
Chris nodded impressed, "It looks good…Six."
Chef kept staring into the chino's soul, "Seven, I like the spirals."
Ethan nodded, "Very impressive. Seven."
Alec's total score for presentation came to twenty-seven.
It was time to taste it.
Rordon took a bite and then looked at the chino, "Are you sure there are ramen noodles in this?" Alec nodded. Rordon nodded impressed, "Congrats, you made a desert out of ramen and it isn't horrible…Nine."
Chris took a bite, "Walnuts, gross. Take a four." He dipped it in the peanut butter and changed his score. "Never mind, I give you a five. This peanut butter is amazing."
Chef took a bite, "It is okay. Five."
Ethan looked surprised. "My mouth just had an orgasm from a ramen noodle desert…Nine."
Alec's total score for taste was twenty-eight. His overall score came to eighty-one. Which put him in the lead.
It was Dominic's turn for his food to be judged.
"I made Tropical Ramen with roasted broccoli. I topped the ramen with coconut to sweeten it."
Rordon nodded but only seemed slightly impressed, "The coconut might make the dish too sweet, but props for actually trying to be creative…Six."
Chris nodded and poked the broccoli, "I have never had roasted broccoli before…Six."
Chef stared into the dish's soul like he did with everyone else's food. "The broccoli smells delicious…Seven."
Ethan crinkled his nose, "I don't like my dinner foods to be sweet. I'm afraid this dish will be…Five."
Dominic's total score for creativity came to twenty-four.
Rordon stared at Dominic's presentation, "Interesting positioning of the broccoli and the coconut does make the dish look nicer…Six."
Chis nodded in agreement, "The coconut does give the ramen a nice look…Five."
Chef stared at it, "Four."
Ethan shrugged, "I guess the coconut does look nice on the food…Six."
Dominic's presentation score was twenty-one.
Rordon took a bite and nodded, "I was afraid of the dish being too sweet, I was wrong. The coconut does not overpower everything else…Six."
Chris took a bite, "The broccoli is delicious, but the ramen is too sweet…Five."
Chef took a bite, "Fantastic job, Nerd…Seven."
Ethan took a bite and cringed, "It is way too sweet…Four."
Dominic's score for taste equaled twenty-two. His overall score came to sixty-seven.
Leah was the final person to be judged. She stood in front of the judges nervous. Her kitchen was still a mess.
"Wow," Rordon looked around. "You are a clumsy cook."
Leah's face flushed as she explained her dish, "I made ramen lasagna and topped it with balsamic vinegar and a tomato rose."
Rordon looked down at the plate, "The rose is very interesting, but nothing else screams creativity at me…Five."
Chris looked at the dish, "The tomatoes are the only fascinating thing about this dish…Four."
Chef stared into the lasagna's soul, "You wasted a perfectly good tomato…Two."
Ethan shrugged as he agreed with Rordon and Chris, "It isn't a very creative dish…Four."
Leah's total score for creativity was fifteen.
Rordon gave her props for creating the tomato roses and her decoration. He gave her a six. Chris thought the tomatoes gave the boring lasagna a nice touch. He gave her a five. Chef still believed that she wasted tomatoes on her roses so he gave her a three. Ethan gave her a six for her presentation because the roses were pretty. Her final score for presentation came to twenty.
The four judges took a bite. Rordon practically gagged as he choked down the food. He gave her a five four not having enough spaghetti sauce or cheese because she spilled it while she cooked. Chris gave her a four because the lasagna was dry. Chef took a bite and said it was 'alright. He gave her a five. Ethan ate the lasagna and said that it was 'not tomatoey enough.' He gave her a three. Her taste score equaled seventeen. Her overall score was fifty-two.
Ethan tallied up everyone's scores before announcing the the winner at the evening's elimination ceremony, "Alec with eighty-one points, you win today's challenge and immunity for the evening."
Alec grinned and mentally patted himself on the back. Ethan announced the loser, "Leah, you finished last with fifty-two points. You will be going home!"
Leah sighed and hung her head, but then smiled at the girls, "Well, it was fun. I made some new friends.' Chef easily picked the girl up and carried her to the wagon. Leah disappeared into the sunset.
Ethan smirked as he looked at the rest of the contestants, "We are down one more camper! Halo, Josh, Mia, Jamie, Alec, Joe, and Dominic are our seven remaining contestants. Find out what happens next time on Total Drama Abandoned!"
I got so lazy! Haha. How was it?
Just in case if anyone wants to try any of the recipes. Here they are. The ramen recipes came from a cookbook that I got for my birthday. It's called "101 Things to Do with Ramen Noodles."

BIG THANK YOU'S to:
Ninaninagrr: For giving me the challenge idea.
Lolluv: For having hilarious conversations with me at 2am when I am working on TDA and for helping me with the filler crap before the challenge! This girl is awesome!
Everyone else: For putting up with all my questions and messages.
*Important Thingy Below*
1st: Total Drama Abandoned turned 3 years old yesterday. 7/9/15
2nd: Neurotic Nebula (formerly known as The Ablazing Arrow) is writing a story called Total Drama Revival. My Ocs, Halo and Faith, are in her story. Halo has been changed a bit for the story. She is an amazing author and ya'll should really read her stuff. She is the one who wrote Confrontation based off of the Moe (Matt/Joe) kisses.
*Most Important*
Third:I'm thinking about doing something after the story is over before I end it for good. I want to do a little segment of Ask the Cast because I never got around to doing it again. You can start sending me questions for the cast whenever you want. I may not use some characters because it is so hard to get in touch with their creators. I also want to do a Where Are They Now. Since we are close to the end, why don't all of you go ahead and send me a message answering the following things:
What will your character be doing in 5 years after Total Drama Abandoned if they win?
What will your character be doing 5 years after TDA if they lose?
Will they stay in touch with anyone from the show? Who?
How much have they changed since TDA?
Do they regret anything they did during TDA?
I gave broad questions, but I would prefer if you were as specific as you can be. If you fill it out and then want to change answers after the finale, go ahead.
If you want to send in question for Ask the Cast send them to me in a PM or a review. Make up a name for a 'fan' of the show. Tell me who the question is for. You can also send questions/answers to me for your own characters. Here's an examples:
Fan Name: Suzie Happyland
Question: Who is your favorite fellow competitor?
For: Anyone/everyone
While, I am working on it, I may ask some of you the answers to some of the questions that I get.
