Brightclaw237: Hey everyone! Chapters will be a bit slow for , last time on Hunter's Grand Adventure!: Hunter and Brightclaw managed to successfully get three out of four idols with the help of Holt, Blaze, Sparky, Dr. Diggins, Prof. Scout, and…Brightshadow. There was a sacrifice in the mission though. Brightshadow had been sent back in time, along with an idol, possibly to the Jurassic Era. Will our heroes be able to find Brightshadow and the last idol, or will they both be lost forever? I only own the angel-hounds.
Brightclaw: (tackles door) Let me out!
Brightclaw237: Sorry, but you need to rest.
Blaze: You two are far too careless.
Brightclaw237: (pushes button that drops a cage over Blaze)
Blaze: What the heck! Why would you do that?!
Brightclaw237: Just cause Brightclaw and I are now slightly weaker, doesn't make you the author of this story, or team leader! Now go feed Chomp, please.
Blaze: Your Tricera?
Brightclaw237: No, this is a different Chomp. This one is my T-Rex pokèmon, Tyrantrum. Now go feed him, please. He has been very bored for the past few days.
Blaze: This cannot end well.(teleported to Chomp)

I wake up and notice that Brightclaw is missing. "Brightclaw?" I call out. I go over and knock on Holt and Spaky's door. "Guys, wake up!" I yell.
Holt opens the door with one hand, as he rubs his tired eyes with the other. "Hunter, why did you wake us up at 11:21 a.m.?" Holt yawns, as Sparky stretches his stiff limbs.
"Brightclaw is missing, and I don't know where she is!" I explain.
Holt's eyes widen, and he grabs his things. "Then let's go search for her!" Holt says, running out the hotel with me.
"Any idea of where she might've gone?" Holt asks, as we approach the docks.
"That's just it, I don't know!" I exclaim.
"Hunter, I might know where Brightclaw went!" Blaze barks as he runs beside me, his flaming pelt shining in the moonlight.
"Where then, Blaze?!" I ask.
"I remember hearing Dr. Diggins and Prof. Scout mentioning a secret island a few miles south of Vivosaur. They said something about a crashed spaceship!" Blaze explains.
"How does this relate to Brightclaw though?" Holt asks.
"Brightclaw and Brightshadow have a special bond. Those two have a connection that enable them to find each other, no matter where they are." Blaze says, as I send out Polar.
"Just like the time at the Digadigmid!" I gasp.
"Exactly!" Blaze barks, pointing at the direction where the island lay hidden. "If Brightclaw cannot be found on this island, or the BB Base, she is more likely to be found on the secret island." Blaze explains. "Hunter, you should be able to locate her as well. You two share the same angel-hound DNA. with that, you can pinpoint Brightclaw's exact location." Blaze barks as we near the island.
"Blaze, how did you know that we would be searching for Brightclaw?" Sparky asks. We all get off of Polar, and look at the spaceship that is lodged into the island. It looks like a very small version of the mothership that held all of the dinaurians.
"I didn't, Duna had actually disappeared. So I had started to look for her. When I found her, Duna had been following Brightclaw. I had also sensed that danger would follow them." Blaze barks, ears perked up as we step inside then spaceship. "I can hear voices, about four." He barks, dashing off to find the owners of the voices.
I run after Blaze, and along the way, I see stone slates that have words engraved into them. The writing also looks very familiar, but I cannot recall how, because I am trying to keep up with Blaze. "Wait up Blaze, slow down!" I shout at him. The two of us have left Holt and Sparky back at the entrance. When Blaze finally comes to a stop, I realize that I am not tired at all. I look into the room that is in front of us, and my eyes widen at the sight of Draco and Brightclaw battling like feral beasts. "Bright…!" I start to shout, but Blaze silences me with his tail.
"Shhh, if you distract Brightclaw, she may get wounded greatly." Blaze whispers into my ear.
"What's going on with Brightclaw?" I whisper back.
Just then, Sparky and Holt arrive. "She hasn't been like this in eight years!" Sparky growls quietly.
"What do you mean, Sparky?" Holt asks.
"You were already told this during the battle against the Bandits. The four of us, Brightclaw Brightshadow, Yuki, and I were part of four different clans. Two of the clans had joined together to form a bigger clan, but the outcome was just devastating. Brightclaw and Brightshadow had seen one of the clan's camp filled with bones of prey, and Brightclaw had seen one member of the clan killed by the deputy of the other clan. It was all because he had the blood of two clans. Eventually, the other two clans joined together to fight the other clan. Brightclaw's clan joined with mine. A week after an incident with the death of that cat, the two clans met up at a sacred area known as Fourtrees. A battle would have started if it wasn't for Brightclaw's friend, who had become leader. A very small cat that wore a collar punctured with dog teeth, had killed the cat that brought disaster to the clans. That cat was no friend though, he wanted the entire forest. That cat was able to take away nine lives with one slash from his claws. Those claws were reinforced with dog teeth. The cat said that we only had a few days to leave, and if we didn't leave the forest by the final day, he would kill everyone." Sparky explains. "The clans had all joined together to form a giant clan, wild-hounds aided the four of us in our battle. We were up against alley-hounds. Drago was the leader of them. He said to Brightclaw's face, as he was about to kill her. As soon as you are gone, I will tear that runt up limb from limb." Sparky barks quietly. "Nobody knows how Brightclaw was able to defeat Drago. Next thing I see, Brightclaw had a yellow star symbol on her forehead." Sparky explains. "The only thing that we can do, is hope that Brightclaw wins this battle." Sparky whispers.
"Can't we do anything to stop this?" I ask.
"No, this is Brightclaw's fight. Draco would kill her if he has the perfect shot, but Brightclaw can never kill another living being, it isn't in her nature. Brightclaw is a person that would tend to the wounded, fight to protect her family, and also lead a team that has strayed onto the wrong path." Blaze shakes his head. "Brightclaw will continue to move forward, never going back. You can hear it Hunter, you hear Brightclaw's voice. How it was before the incident. You are the only one that can see the true emotion in her eyes. To everyone else, it appears that Brightclaw's blinded by rage. You know the saying as well, even though it is cheesy. Don't ever judge a book by it's cover." Blaze barks as he turns to face me, his expression is as serious as ever. "Tell me this, Hunter. What do see Brightclaw as? Do you see her as a wild animal, or as a tamed dog?" Blaze asks in a monotone voice, his eyes boring deep into my soul.
'What I see Brightclaw as?' I think, quickly glancing at her as she is slammed against a metal wall. Blood seeps out of a long gash from her arm. Brightclaw's slowly gets up, but falls back down.
"Giving up already? Heh, that's just plain pathetic, even for a runt like yourself!" Draco snickers as he raises his clawed law up. "Time to finish this." He barks as he tries to kill Brightclaw, but somebody stops him. "Star, what are you doing!" Draco snarls at the snowy, blue swirled dino-hound.
"Draco, this is wrong! We shouldn't do this! Just look at yourself, you're becoming what we all fear the most!" Star barks, tears streaming down her face. "You need to stop! Brightclaw is far stronger than you and Raptin combined! Her strength comes from the heart, and that is more powerful than any weapon we have! So just sto…" Star barks, but is pushed away when Draco swipes his paw at her.
"Quiet, you insolent brat! Do not compare me with that hideous monster! Know your place! I am your superior in every way!" Draco growls.
I look at Star, tears still streaming down her face. I then hear a noise coming from Brightclaw. A memory flashes through my mind.
We went camping a week after making Brightclaw an official family member. Brightclaw didn't like the idea one bit though, and none of us knew why. "Big brother, help me!" Lucy screams.
I get out of my tent, but Brightclaw stays. 'Brightclaw why are you abandoning your family, you have faced worse. It seems that you are not completely reliable after all. You're just a coward!' I think as I keep running, until I see my little sister, cornered by a mountain lion. "Get away from her!" I shout, getting the lion's attention. It moves away from my sister, and walks towards me, growling and licking its jaws. "Lucy, run now!" I shout, and Lucy quickly runs off to get mom and dad. The lion walks even closer to me, and I back away slowly. "Ugh, this isn't good at all." I grit my teeth, as I bump into a dead end. "Well, I had a great life. It may have been short, but it was perfect." I sigh and close my eyes, the lion pounces. I hear a road of pain, and when I open my eyes. I see Brightclaw on top of the lion, digging her fangs and claws into the animal's fur.
"Leave him alone, you overgrown tabby!" Brightclaw snarls between clenched teeth. The lion roars, trying to shake the canine off. "Heh, you can't get rid of me that easily!" She barks, biting down even harder. Another roar of pain as the lion now rams its body into nearby trees.
"Brightclaw, get off of that thing! You'll be killed!" I yell at her.
"Hunter, I earned my name by doing things that are far more dangerous than this! I took an oath. I vowed to protect my clan!" Brightclaw growls, jumping off of the lion's back. "Come on big guy, come and get your dog treat!" Brightclaw taunts the lion. The lion then runs after her, and Brightclaw leads the lion to a river. "Perfect!" She barks. "Hey, fish-breath!" Brightclaw barks, annoying the lion even more. "You're the worst excuse for a predator! I've seen house cats take down dogs much larger than me!" Brightclaw laughs, sticking her tongue out at the lion. The lion growls and pounces at her.
"Brightclaw, nooooooo!" I yell, my new family member about to die.
"Gotcha!" Brightclaw smirks, dropping to the ground in an instant, and the lion misses her completely, as it falls into the river. It lets out a growl of surprise, as it gets out of the river. The lion's fur is soaked to the bone. "That is why you never mess with a warrior!" Brightclaw growls at the lion. Her eyes narrow, and Brightclaw bares her fangs as she speaks again. "If you try and hurt anyone that comes by, some of my friends will come here. I have shown you mercy. Far more than I should have. You are lucky that I am very lenient, or else you would be covered in scars. I don't take too kindly to those who threaten my family!" Brightclaw snarls at the lion. The lion now walks away in fear. "Take this, ha big furball." Brightclaw barks to the lion, as she tosses it a bag of fish. The lion looks at her in surprise. "You were only hungry, but it doesn't mean that you should eat the humans that camp around here. If there isn't much fish in the river, look for edible berries. Those should keep you alive for a few weeks." Brightclaw barks at the lion. The lion turns its head around and nods in understanding, before it walks away.
I look at Brightclaw, she gazes at the night sky. "So, you three are still watching me, even after leaving the forest." She cries.
'Brightclaw, what's wrong with you?' I think as I start to walk over to her, but something tells me to stop. Brightclaw hangs her head in sadness, and then I see three transparent silhouettes made out of stars. They gather around Brightclaw, as if trying to comfort her. Brightclaw lets out a saddened howl. I look up and see the stars shine bright. The light reflects off of her fur, making it glow. I close my eyes as the light becomes too bright to look at. When I reopen my eyes, I see that I am back in my tent with Brightclaw. 'Was it all just a dream?' I think to myself. I look at Brightclaw again, and my eyes widen. Tears slowly flowed from her closed eyes. In her claws, tufts of golden fur. From the mountain lion.
"I miss you, sister." Brightclaw cries in her sleep.
'I was wrong about you, Brightclaw. You are no coward. You are a true hero, and my sister.' I smile as I pet Brightclaw head, calming her down.
"Brightclaw is neither of those." I mutter under my breath.
"What was that? I don't think I heard you right." Blaze smirks.
"You know very well, that you heard me. I said that Brightclaw is neither a wild animal or a tamed dog! She is my sister, and I must protect her. Just like how she protects me!" I exclaim, adrenaline rushing through my veins. I then run at Raptin, and tackle him. I manage to push him back a bit, before he retaliates back with a swift punch that sends me flying into the wall. "Aaaagh!" I yell in pain, and look at my arm. I stare at the cut the has formed on my arm, and I quickly bandage it up with one of Brightclaw's spare bandanas. 'At least now I know why she has so many of these things.' I think as I tighten the cloth around the cut.
"Heh, thought I finished you and your mangy mutt off?" Raptin snorts annoyed.
"I will never quit, and neither will my partner! We made a promise to battle and win against all all odds! No matter what is thrown at us, the two of us shall never fall! Brightclaw saved my sister and I in the past, and now it is time for me to return the favor!" I shout tossing Breeze's medal, since he is the only vivosaur that can fit in this room.
"You are brave, but foolish to battle against an elite fighter, human!" Raptin snarls as he transforms into a vivosaur.
I jump onto Breeze's back. "Breeze, use a Veloci Claw on Raptin!" I shout holding onto Breeze's neck as he dashes at Raptin, and slashes his sickle-like claws down Raptin's flank.
"Hah, you'll get nowhere if you use puny attacks like that!" Raptin snarls as he attacks Breeze with Reaper's Wrath. Breeze is pushed back by a few feet.
"GRRRRAAAAA(I AM NOT GIVING UP, LIZARD BOY!)!" Breeze growls at Raptin.
"That's right! Now Breeze, use another Veloci Claw on Raptin!" I shout, as Breeze tackles Raptin to the ground, and lands another attack.
"Ugh! How are you not dead from the poison?!" Raptin snarls at me.
"Poison?!" My eyes grow wide.
"My claws have toxins inside of them, and the toxins from that cut should have killed you by now!" Raptin hisses, as he stands up and charges straight at Breeze and I.
'Breeze, front flip.' I say telepathically, and Breeze nods. Right when Raptin is about to hit us, Breeze jumps about ten feet into the air, causing Raptin to miss us.
Brightclaw sees this and does the same thing to Draco. "See ya later, mousebrain!" Brightclaw laughs.
"What?!" Draco barks, confused. Draco and Raptin are too focused on the three of us, to not realize what is about to happen.
"WHAAAAAA! MOVE OUT OF THE WAY!" Draco and Raptin shout as they collide into each other.
"It worked!" Brightclaw barks happily as she grabs a stone figure and dashes away.
"What do we do with the two of them…" I ask, turning back to Raptin and Draco, who are now gone.
"Oh come on!" I shout.
"Well, we had better get back to Vivosaur. I have a feeling that Brightclaw is at the Fossil Center." Blaze smirks.
"What would she be doing there?" I ask.
"You'll find out." Blaze smiles, turning around to follow after Brightclaw.
I walk over to Duna, and help her up. "You okay, Duna?" I ask.
"I…am fine." Duna stutters. "What about your partner though, she probably has poison in her blood right now because of Draco." Duna asks, her eyes full of worry.
"I don't know." I say looking at the dent in the wall that was created from the impact of Brightclaw's body.
"She'll be fine, Hunter. Brightclaw has been in far worse situations than that." Sparky barks at me.
"How would you know, Sparky?" Star asks him.
"It may not look like it, but all the angel-hounds on Brightclaw's team were once human. It was Blaze's idea to inject the angel-hound DNA into himself, that way he would be able to set out on a journey to find Brightclaw. He was trying to bring her home. At the time I was a teen known as Kenta Storm, and no Hunter, we are not related. I was at the time and still am Blaze's best friend. All of us being Brightclaw's friends as well, joined Blaze in his journey." Sparky explains.
"What happened though? Why we're all of you separated?" Duna asks, interested in how Brightclaw's friends became angel-hounds.
"There were many complications that occurred that day. For example, the side effects of the DNA. Since the DNA had been perfected, we were able to become angel-hounds, but at a small cost. The only side effect was, memory loss. Most of us had been lucky, losing no memories. Blaze, had been the only one to lose a few memories." Sparky sighs climbing onto Polar as we all head back to Vivosaur Island. "We all are also able to transform back into our human forms, only Brightclaw cannot. She had given up her human form to protect us all. When we all were about to start looking for Brightclaw, a huge flash of blinding light appeared out of nowhere, and enveloped our entire world. When I awoke, none of my friends were near me, and I had realized that we had all been transported to a different dimension. The other angel-hounds had then come into existence by the same DNA that made Brightclaw what she is. It is also true that if the original DNA is no longer alive, the other angel-hounds would fade from existence. All except for the angel-hounds that were part human." Sparky explains as we reach Vivosaur's port.
"Why doesn't she tell me all of the adventures that she has been on? Doesn't she trust me?" I ask.
"She does trust you, but you wouldn't understand any of it. All that she has ever told us, is that she started adventures at a young age." Sparky shrugs.
"How young was she?" I ask.
"That is a question, that you will have to ask Brightclaw yourself!" Sparky snickers.
'Ugh. Why is Brightclaw surrounded in mystery?' I mentally sigh as I enter the cleaning room.
Brightclaw237: Time to end the chapter here. Remember to read and review. (Door breaks down)
Brightclaw: (on Tyrantrum) FREEDOM! (Tyrantrum charges out of the house)
Brightclaw237: Dude! What did you do!
Blaze: You never told me that it could dig!
Brightclaw237: You'll have to get her, I am still sick!
Blaze: Oh come on! (Runs after Brightclaw and Chomp)
