Kiba was the first to stir, rubbing his eyes and blinking away the sleep. The sky was a dark blue; the sun still in the process of rising. He rubbed Sheeva's back gently, smiling as he recalled the events from earlier. It had been amazing, relieving.
He placed a soft kiss on her head, taking her hand and holding it. She stirred as well, lifting her head and looking around. She grinned as she saw him.
"Good morning, Kiba." She said.
He chuckled.
"Good morning." He replied, hugging her tightly.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked. She nodded, squeezing him and setting her head down to rest on his chest again, her dark hair fanned out along his chest.
"Yes, I did. Did you?"
"Yeah. I want to wake like this more often." He smiled, dragging his fingertips along her back and along her hips. She shuddered and fought the urge to laugh.
Kiba gasped as his kikai buzzed, sending him a message. Sheeva's kikai buzzed too, and they looked at each other, alarmed.
Kankuro is up!
"Shit." They swore, scrambling to gather their clothing. Kiba had just finished buttoning the last button on his coat before they heard footsteps behind them. They turned, sitting on the hillside, looking out at the forest. Kankuro stepped out, smiling as he saw them.
"Eva told me you two were watching the sunrise. Too cute. Give me a barf bag." He announced, walking over to them. A glint caught Kiba's eye, and he glanced down at it. It was the condom he'd taken out. He slowly picked it up and slid it in his coat sleeve. Kankuro didn't seem to notice; he was watching the sun rise.
The sky turned a myriad of colors and they sat in silence, watching. Kiba even dared to wrap his arm around Sheeva's waist, pulling her close to him. They joined hands, and smiled. Sheeva used her legs to cover her torn chest bindings. They felt tense, and Sheeva wasn't sure if they could keep hiding much longer.
"Hey, Dad?" She asked. Kankuro looked at her.
"Yeah, what's up?"
"I love you, and this is nice, but can you leave us alone? Just-just for the time being? Uh, please?" She asked, turning red.
Kankuro frowned, then shrugged, walking away.
"Yeah, fine… whatever… Keep your hands off my daughter, Aburame." He muttered, smirking before he left.
As soon as they were sure he was out of earshot, they released a held breath, beginning to giggle.
"Wow, that was close." She giggled. He nodded, and showed her what he'd hidden in his sleeve.
"I'm just glad he didn't see this." He mentioned, sticking it back in his pocket. She laughed, and moved her legs revealing her cut bindings.
"I'm sure this would have been a little easier to explain." She stated, grabbing them and crumbling them up into a ball. She sighed, and tossed it in the air and spit fire at them.
Sheeva jumped a little as one of Kiba's kikai crawled out from underneath her shirt. He noticed, and apologized.
"They're comfortable with you. It seems that they accept you." He stated, smiling. She blinked.
"Accept me?" She asked, curious. Neither Kiba nor Shino had told her about this, and she was a little nervous.
"Accept you as my mate, in a sense. I enjoyed last night, and so did they. Well, 'enjoy' is an understatement…" He explained. She blushed, and rested her head on his shoulder.
"I'm glad they accept me, then. You make me feel so beautiful." She whispered, tears forming in her eyes. They fell, and one hit his hand. He looked at her, and became alarmed.
"Sheeva, why—
-I never thought it'd happen. Never thought I'd know how it feels. I felt so loved, Kiba. For once, I wasn't an object, a-a thing. I was human! I was a woman…" She blurted, clinging onto his jacket. He pulled her into his lap, rubbing her back in circles, rocking her. He found himself smiling.
"Sheeva, I'd only ever do that for you. Because you deserve it, if not more. I'd make love to you a million times, and try my hardest to make sure you feel wonderful while I do." He said, making sure he was loud enough for her to hear him. He held her tightly while she calmed down, drying her eyes and kissing her forehead.
They were oblivious to the fact that they were being watched. Within the confines of the forest, Temari spied on them, her heart warming, almost wanting to fall to the ground and cry herself. She grinned, amazed and pleased with him. Kankuro didn't have anything to worry about, but that was all she'd say. He'd fly off the handle if she'd told him what they'd obviously done.
She sighed happily and slinked away, watching for any twigs that she might snap that would give off her location.
