Hello, my lovely readers. There's a lot going down in the house in this chapter so I'm going to jump in there. On with the show…

Chapter 38: Free For All

Many members of the house had been tense since Elijah had announced his nominations while others were celebrating. Jenna Sommers was part of the first group. She was miserable that her nephew and lover were on the block. At the moment she was completely alone in the house. That would be why she had formed the oddest of this season of Big Brother's twosomes. They were dubbed: Rebekenna and were seen with various members of the house fighting for Jeremy and Alaric's lives in the house.

"Matt has done very little of benefit in this house," Rebekah had told Bonnie Bennett who was standing with her arms folded over her chest in the kitchen.

Jenna nodded. "I hate to say it. But he's been carried through this house because he's a 'nice guy.' We all love Matt. But he hasn't been playing the best game."

"What about Jeremy? He's been riding on Rebekah's team's coattails the entirety of the game," Bonnie protested.

"And that would be what the other side of the house would say about you," Rebekah pointed out, her eye narrowed.

Bonnie looked thoughtful. "I'll think about it. But I'm not saying that I'm voting for or against anyone. And all three nominees can still fight for the veto."

"We know that," Rebekah huffed.

Jenna placed a hand on Rebekah's arm. "Thank you, Bonnie, for hearing us out." She forced a smile before pulling Rebekah away from the witch.

"She's not going to help us," Rebekah moaned, feeling tears gather behind her eyelids.

"That's okay. There are still other people who haven't made up their minds who they're voting for," Jenna reminded the Original who sighed heavily.

"Yes," Rebekah consulted their list. "Liz Forbes."

Liz was sitting outside with her legs in the pool. "Hi, girls. I know that you want me to say that I'm not going to vote for Jeremy or Alaric but I've already been through this with Caroline. I haven't decided."

"That is bullshit!" Rebekah screamed at the Sheriff who blinked up at her before looking at the pool water.

After a pause, Liz looked up at Rebekah. "Come here," she beckoned and Rebekah looked at Jenna who smiled and nodded. Rebekah hesitantly took a seat beside the elder Forbes woman in the house. "Rebekah, I'm going to give you a bit of motherly advice since I know that you have a strained relationship with your own mother." Rebekah looked quizzical before Liz explained. "Caroline. Where was I? Oh, yes. I think that you should begin to worry less about whether a boy likes you and more about who you are outside of your romantic interests. You're an intelligent, capable, strong woman. And I have seen how you worry about Jeremy, but do you spend half that time worrying about yourself?"

Rebekah looked startled when Liz continued. "I used to be like you and Caroline. I loved her father more than anything or anyone in the world. All I wanted to do was to make him happy. And for a time I thought I had until I found out that there was nothing that I could do. This news devastated me but it also empowered me to realize who I was and what I wanted to do with my life."

"So, I should quit worrying about love and become a member of the CIA?" Rebekah inquired with a smirk.

"No, but you should worry about your own survival and your own happiness outside of another person. You can't expect them to be your everything. It's too much even when you're in a happy relationship," Liz advised Rebekah who still looked unconvinced.

"Well, it has been thrilling talking to you," Rebekah said, getting to her feet. Rolling her eyes at Jenna; she headed inside the house. "That was a waste of time."

Rebekah turned to find Jenna standing close to the sliding glass doors. "What if she's right? What if we're wasting our lives in this game obsessed with boys?" she asked with wide eyes.

"She's just a sad, bitter woman who can't find a relationship of her own and she sees so many of us happy that it makes her want to destroy us," Rebekah berated the other blonde. Even though the words were what she meant to say there was a part of Rebekah that thought that Liz was right. She had been betrayed by her brothers at so many turns. She knew how fickle men could be.

Forcing another smile, Jenna looked at their list; there really wasn't anyone else they could talk to. Kol, Klaus, Katherine, Damon and Caroline were the only other players. The first three were wild cards and the last two had already agreed to vote with Rebekah and Jenna to save Alaric and Jeremy. It still wasn't enough; so it was important that Jenna, Rebekah, Alaric or Jeremy won the PoV in the upcoming competition.

Jenna was hoping that it was Ric, on the other hand she was afraid of who Elijah would put up as replacement. They might be friends but that didn't mean a lot in this house where backstabbing happened on a daily basis.

Three hours later they were all gathered in the backyard in baseball uniforms. "Hello, houseguests," Julie called to them. "It is time for the live Veto competition. This game is called 'Batter's Up.' The name of the game is to hit as many home runs as you can versus our Big Brother pitcher, a special guest star, Zing Bot. Each of you will go up to the plate and try to hit the target mounted on the back wall or even over the wall, if you can. The first guest to make ten points will win the Veto. Are you all ready to play 'Batter's Up?'"

"Yes!" the houseguests yelled.

Jeremy Gilbert was the first one up to the plate. "Hey, Zing Bot," he greeted the robot that zinged at him in response.

"Hey, Jeremy. Do you that you're going home toniiiiighhhhhtttt?" Zing Bot asked Jeremy who frowned as a ball came whizzing at him. He hit it and it went flying by the bot which reached for the ball but was off by an inch. "You have beginners luck in everything but looooovvvvvve," Zing Bot added as Jeremy moved aside for the next guest.

Katherine moved to the plate. "What do you have to say?" she asked with a smirk.

"You think you're hot. Too bad you're noooootttt," Zing Bot said and the ball went sailing by because Katherine sped forward and tried to take off Zing Bot's head with her bat.

Alaric was next after Katherine was eliminated. "You had better keep your day job 'cause you're skills as a hunter leave you looking in from The Other Siiiiiiidddddde," the Zing Bot sang and Alaric rolled his eyes before hitting the ball which went sailing in the wrong direction, missing the back wall by a single inch.

Jenna gulped. "Oh, Jeeeennnna. You're good… at nooothhhhhhiiiiiinnnnngggg, except drinking." Zing Bot declared to Jenna who hit the ball which hit the Zing Bot, knocking it over. "Mechanical failure," Zing Bot screamed. "User error. Help me!"

Klaus came over to straighten the Zing Bot upward before he took his turn. "Thank you, you're my hero," Zing Bot said and the guests exchanged looks. "Too bad that is the first time and last time you'll hear those words."

Klaus growled before he swung and knocked the Zing Bot over again and the Zing Bot squealed. "Did I hurt you feelings, Klaus? Are you going to cry? Want a tissssuuuue?"

Elijah had to hold Klaus back from attacking the Zing Bot again. When Klaus was calm enough, Elijah went to the plate and the Zing Bot cooed. "Elijah, I love a man in a suit. Why don't you try something else or are you too stiff?"

"Very!" Katherine shouted and cheered distracting Elijah sufficiently to cause him to miss the ball.

"Katherine!" Elijah yelled, tossing his bat at the doppleganger who shrugged.

Caroline was next. "Caroline, you're not a kidddie pool. You're so shallow that your nickname should be drought. My baby bot can barely wet his feet. You're a puddle or so says Klaaaaauuuss!"

"What?" Caroline cried and then instead of hitting the ball, she went chasing after her husband with her bat.

"I'm stronger than you Caroline!" Klaus yelled.

"Did you call me a puddle?" Caroline shouted at him, her cheeks red.

"Yeah. He did!" Damon inserted himself into the conversation and Kol nodded. That was all it took for Caroline to begin to whack at Klaus with a bat.

Damon was whistling as he rested his bat against his shoulder. "It will always be Stefffffaaaaaan!" Zing Bot yelled and Damon growled before he sent the ball flying over the wall. "OHHHH. If only you were that good at making the dopplegangers happppyyyyyy!"

Liz took her turn at the plate. "Shouldn't you be protecting your town? Sorry. That's when your flirrrtttttiiiinnnnggggggg with Damon!" Zing Bot shouted and then laughed as Liz blushed furiously.

"They're friends!" Caroline shouted, turning to look at her mother in horror. Klaus took that opportunity to toss her bat over the wall. Kol gave her another as her mother missed the target by a yard. "Right?" Caroline screamed at her mother who moved to sit at the other side of the bench.

Rebekah took the plate, staring the mindless Bot, down. "It must be nice living forever when you don't have chance of ever finding someone who really lovvvessss yoooouuuuuuu!"

"I. Love. Myself!" Rebekah shouted, hitting the ball so hard it cracked the bat. The ball went flying over the wall and hit a drone.

Matt stepped up to the plate. "Hello, Matt. Maybe you should give up now because you have no chance in hellllll!" Zing Bot declared. Rolling his eyes, Matt hit the target and smiled. Playing baseball with Jeremy and Tyler last summer must have paid off.

Bonnie went up to the plate and readied herself for the Zing Bot's insults. "Hey, Bonnie. Kol says her loves you… but he loves his baseball bat moreeeeee!" Zing Bot cried. Bonnie rolled her eyes. 'It could have been worse,' she thought when she hit the ball and it hit the target. She was shocked but happy that she was still in the game.

Kol was the last to the plate and that was not a problem for him. Zing Bot was quick to comment. "Hello, Kol! Your family wished for another sibling. Then they got yooooouuuuuu." Having heard this many times, Kol shrugged off the zinger and hit the ball, grinning when it went over the wall.

An hour later the Zing Bot had zinged everyone and sent them to the bench except for Jeremy and Kol who was up to the plate. Kol felt slightly bad for his old mate. Maybe he should let Jeremy have the veto. But where was the fun in that? "Elijah said that if he had to choose between you and a non family member… he wanted a DNA test to confirm you're really his broooothhhherrrrr!"

Jeremy rolled his eyes when Kol hit the ball over the wall for the tenth time knowing that it was the Zing Bot having outraged the Original that made him win. Jeremy went up to the plate and waited. "Rebekah will find someone to warm her bed. Maybe… Dammmmonnnnnn!" Jeremy glared at the Zing Bot and hit the ball. He threw his baseball bat when it missed the target by a half an inch.

"Congratulations, Kol, you are the winner of this Veto comp," Julie announced and Kol was cheering as Elijah brought him the veto and he placed it around his little brother's neck. Kol was still dancing around the backyard when everyone but Rebekah and Jenna approached him.

"Kol, we need to talk to you," Rebekah began when Kol held up his hands.

"No, no, no! This is mine to do with as I wish, little sister. I'm sorry but I am playing this game for myself. If you wanted this," Kol held up the veto. "You should have not let your temper get the best of you."

Rebekah gritted her teeth. When the Zing Bot had told her that maybe during her ten thousandth years on earth she would stop being Klaus' groupie she had lost her temper and the game! There was a limit to the amount of insipid insults that Rebekah could stand to listen to.

Now, it was Jenna's turn to try to reason with Kol. "Is there anything that either of us could do to persuade you to use the veto?"

Kol's eyebrows lifted. "And what did you have in mind because I do have a girlfriend in this house. But that might change and I really would hate to be in this house all by myself for an entire week with a big bed."

"EW"! Jenna yelled. "Ugh. Logan Fell alert!"

"Who the bloody hell is Logan Fell?" Kol and Rebekah asked each other as Jenna hurried away and into the house to give Ric the bad news.

After several hours and a ton of infighting later Kol had made his decision. "I have decided to not use the PoV," he said before the nominees even had the time to speak.

"Kol, you were supposed to allow the nominees speak first," Julie intoned.

Kol turned to look at the screen with a frown. "What for? I made up mind when Elijah told us of his nominations. I want to throw them all out. But I can't and there is nothing they could say to change my mind. This meeting is over." Kol closed the box and walked away.

A day later, the house was once again divided. Two teams had formed. Team Jeremy and Team Alaric and now Rebekenna had had a falling out when Rebekah had tried to convince the swing votes that if she became HoH next week that she would not put any of them on the block. When Jenna had found out she had told Rebekah that she was done and that she no longer wanted to drink wine and talk about past romantic failures with the Original sister. Rebekah had had turned her back on her new friend and America mourned another #showfauxship.

When it was time to cast their votes no one looked at each other as Julie spoke to them. "Elijah, as Head of Household you will not be voting tonight nor will Matt, Jeremy or Alaric. Katherine, you may enter the diary room and cast your vote."

Katherine entered the diary room with a smirk on her face. "I, like Kol, have no use for any of the nominees, but I would prefer to see Little Gilbert gone because I killed him… a couple of times."

Rebekah was the next one into the diary room. "I vote for Alaric," she told the camera.

Damon entered the diary room. "I vote for Matt," he said decisively.

Jenna followed Damon into the diary room. "I sadly vote for Matt. Sorry. It's the game. You know I love you outside the house."

Bonnie sat down with a sigh. She shook her head. "This is really hard but I'm in an alliance with Matt and Jeremy is still my friend," groaning, Bonnie lifted her head. "I'm voting against Ric. I don't why. I hope I don't regret this…"

Liz entered the diary room. She sat down in the chair with a wary look. "This is not an easy decision but I saw Jeremy Gilbert and Matt Donavon grow up and Alaric… I don't know Alaric that well to be honest." Shaking her head, Liz added. "For strategic purposes, I'm going to vote for Jeremy, plus it makes me uncomfortable as the mother of a vampire to have two vampire hunters under the same roof with my child."

Klaus entered the diary room with a wide smile. "I vote for Jeremy Gilbert. He's using my sister. They all use poor Bekah and break her heart. One day she'll learn; I'm always right."

Kol entered the diary room. "This is for killing me, mate, and for bedding down with my sister who has a fondness for commoners. Be gone, Jeremy."

Caroline was the last to enter the diary room. "Hi," she said weakly, looking around before focusing. "Klaus asked me to vote against Jeremy. Sorry, Jeremy, you know this does reflect on how I feel about you as a person. I hope you have a really great rest of the summer. Say hi to Stef for me. Bye."

Julie came on the screen in the living room. "Hello, houseguests. The votes are in. There are two votes for Alaric and two for Matt. With a total of five votes to evict, Jeremy, I'm sorry but you have been evicted."

Jeremy got to his feet as Rebekah burst into tears. He shook hands with his fellow houseguests and hugged his Aunt Jenna, Alaric and even Damon before picking Rebekah up in a bear hug, carrying her toward the door. Rebekah continued to hold him, smothering the young hunter with kisses until Klaus held out his bag. "It's time, Bekah," Klaus said gently.

"I won't forget our time together," Rebekah sobbed as Jeremy took his bag and she pressed a long kiss to Jeremy's lips while her brothers looked away. Finally Jeremy left the house and met Julie.

"Hello, Jeremy, you can put your bag down," she told him. Jeremy nodded. He wasn't really shocked. He figured that he might be going home. Moving to sit down across from Julie, he smiled.

"Hey," he replied.

"So, Jeremy, I have to ask you the burning question in everyone's mind: was your relationship with Rebekah purely a showmance, or do you have real feelings for her?" Julie asked and Jeremy beamed.

"Yeah. Not really. I mean I didn't think of it as a showmance, but I don't want to speak for Rebekah because when you are in these confined quarters and stuff that you never thought in a million years would happen does. Like if you had told me that I would hook up with the chick who killed my sister; I would have told you you're crazy. But when I was in the house I felt like I got to know Bekah a lot better and I saw a different side of her and she's a sweet, loving person… vampire who can be a little bit high strung, but I'm used to that. I grew up with Caroline so I should be. So, no, I wouldn't say that it was a showmance." Jeremy answered seriously.

"Does that mean that you would continue things with Rebekah outside of the house?" Julie asked.

"Yeah. Definitely. I think I love her. No, I do. I love her. That's nuts, right? Maybe it's the house. It makes you crazy!" Jeremy laughed.

"Well, I have a little surprise for you. You're going to have a chance to re-enter the house next week after the next eviction there will be a special competition to allow all the evicted contestants to compete for a spot." Julie told a shocked looking Jeremy.

"Really?" he asked.

"Yes. Now, it is time for you to go to the jury house and we will see you later in the episode. For now it is time to check up on the Big Brother house as the next HoH competition begins. Hello, houseguests. Are you ready to begin the HoH competition?" Julie asked and they cheered. "Okay, guests, this game is called Drink and Dance."

Damon grinned at that idea. He looked at Jenna who also looked more cheerful since her nephew had been sent home. He figured that she could use a drink after that eviction. He understood. It had been hell when Elena went home but when Stefan left he felt like someone had ripped his left arm off and had hit him with it, repeatedly.

"Each of you will face off with a houseguest drawn at random order and you with get on our Big Dance floor after you take a drink from our Big Pitcher of vodka," Julie told them. "Elijah, as outgoing HoH, you are ineligible to compete." Elijah nodded. "The first dancing duo will be Bonnie and Klaus."

Bonnie took a drink from a pitcher that Klaus had to hold for her; it was that big. Klaus took his drink and they got onto the dance floor. Bonnie giggled when disco music came on and then the floor began to tilt and sway with their movements. "Hold on, houseguests, because this floor dances with you," Julie told them.

"You could have told us first!" Bonnie yelled as she struggled to stay on her feet until she was forced to sit down. "Okay. I'm done," she said as Klaus helped her to her feet.

"Klaus, is the winner of the first round!" Julie told them. "Matt and Caroline you are up." Caroline giggled as she held the pitcher for Matt and then took her own drink. She hopped on the floor and danced around to Britney Spears while Matt stood, waving his arms before collapsing when the floor tilted a little too far to the left.

"Rebekah and Damon. It is your turn," Rebekah took a long drink before she got on the floor with Damon who took her by the hand. They began to dance the tango even as the floor began to spin. After five minutes that dance was declared a tie and they both moved forward.

Jenna and Alaric were happy to able to drink and dance the jitter bug, until the floor tilted so far to the right that they both lost their balance in the middle of one of the more complicated dance moves. They fell to the ground but were laughing when they landed in a heap.

Klaus and Rebekah were forced to swing dance. Caroline was clapping and cheering for Klaus. Klaus would have been happier to dance with Caroline since Rebekah was leading and tossing him about the floor until he fell off the floor. He was sure she did it on purpose.

Liz and Kol were the next victims of the "Drink and Dance" comp. Kol was trying to be nice by holding onto the Sherriff so she didn't break anything more because Caroline was glaring at him and had a bat. Finally Kol gave up and lowered Liz to the floor who said a quiet "Thank you. I was about to be sick."

"Mom," Caroline cried as Klaus helped Liz down and she threw up on his shoes.

"Sorry," Liz moaned.

"It's alright. I have more shoes. I only have one mother-in-law." And maybe it was an alcohol but Liz hugged Klaus, surprising even the Original Hybrid, himself. Caroline was jumping up and down, laughing and crying silently.

Katherine and Kol were the next dancing duo to compete. Katherine may or may not have tripped and then spun Kol completely off the dance floor during their Bunny Hop routine. Footage would have to be examined.

Caroline and Damon were the next up. They got to dance to the "Macarana." Caroline was laughing at this as she and Damon slapped their hands on their asses and danced about. It wasn't until the floor began to spin again that Caroline took a step backwards and would have fallen if not for Klaus catching her.

Damon and Katherine. Damon groaned when he had to dance with his ex. During their Rumba, she tried to trip him and to throw him off the floor. Damon avoided all attempts at sabotage. When she finally tried to shove him off the floor, he sidestepped and watched Katherine go sailing onto the lawn. Katherine glared at Elijah before getting to her feet and sitting down.

Damon and Rebekah faced off. They had to dance to music from Swan Lake and Damon found this amusing while Rebekah was feeling a bit ill after drinking the last third of the Big Pitcher. There were three minutes into what had made Caroline cry and Bonnie sniffle right as Rebekah vomited on Damon's shirt.

"Oh, my," Damon groaned when Rebekah looked horrified and stumbled to the edge of the floor. Klaus caught his little sister who threw up on his shoes.

"Damon, you are the new HoH," Julie announced.

"Finally!" Damon shouted as Elijah brought him the key to the HoH room. "This is going to be my week!" Damon shouted at the assorted houseguests. He started laughing as dark clouds covered the sky and it began to display lightening and thunder shook the ground as it began to pour down rain. He was going to get revenge for Lena and Stef; if it was the last thing he did in this house.

The Jury House:

Inside the jury house the contestants had been sitting on the couch in the living room catching up on the events leading to their getting thrown out. When the doorbell rang, Sage put down the bowl of popcorn while Lexi and Stefan tossed food at each other. Sage wasn't all that surprised to find Jeremy. "Hey. Welcome. We're in the living room," she told Jeremy who looked a little shocked. Sage seemed to have mellowed out a little.

Jeremy walked into the living room and Stefan got to his feet. "Jeremy," he greeted him warmly.

"Stefan," Jeremy replied, hugging his sister's ex.

"Who won the HoH?" Lexi asked, eagerly.

"Elijah," Jeremy replied.

"Really? And he sent you home? Who else was up?" Stefan asked.

"Ric and Matt," Jeremy told them.

Sage looked disappointed. "I should have known that stuffed shirt couldn't make a big game move. Klaus would have sent someone big out," she stated with a shake of her head.

"Or Rebekah," Stefan added and Sage looked like she wasn't so sure.

"I wonder who won the HoH after I left," Jeremy told them.

"We'll find out. In the meantime. Come. Sit. Have some popcorn and review the tapes with us," Lexi told Jeremy who plopped down between her and Sage. Of course Rebekah was on the screen and he felt a pang. Man, he really hoped he got back into the house.

Let me know who Damon's noms should be, who the next HoH should be and just so everyone is clear on this: everyone who has been evicted since Sage went to jury. According to BB rules, you're under contract so you can't return to your life until the show ends. You can also vote for who you would like to see back in the house which includes the people who were sent home.

Thank you for reading, faving, following and for reviewing.

Imagination Running Wild: Thanks for reviewing.

1artist: Thanks for reviewing.

ObsessWithElijah: I love the tossing game but I do not recommend trying it out in real life. Chocolate should be one of the Wonders of the World. It did hurt Elijah, a lot. Klaus is very manipulative but there's another shocking twist where another player is going to emerge with some big game moves…

Rune Saint: I know. Ha. I actually read and liked the Twilight series but I also like to make fun of it, too. Klaus loves to mess with his siblings and I figured that the game would not change that. Rebekah is now going to have to get her head back into the game and find a way to survive without Jer by her side.

Peace,

Jessica
