Monday morning I woke up with the sun shinning in my face. I turned on my side and found Roman still sleeping. I glanced at the time, 8:30. No use going back to sleep only to get up in another hour or so. I got out of bed and grabbed my clothes for the day before heading into the bathroom and taking a shower. I got dressed in a pair of black jeans, a tan high-low knitted sweater and tan flats. I made waves in my hair and did my make-up before leaving the bathroom. I could hear all three Shield members in the living room area. After putting my things back into my bag I left the room. All three men smiled at me and wished me a good morning, "what's got you three all chipper this morning?" I asked, finding it odd that even Dean was in what seemed like a great mood and he didn't even have coffee yet. "It's going to be a good day today, I can feel it" Dean spoke, I looked at him with raised eyebrows as I took a seat on Roman's lap "what the hell have you done with the real Dean Ambrose?" he chuckled "what? A man can't be in a good mood when he gets up in the morning?" "not if the man is you and you haven't had a cup of coffee" I laughed, he shrugged with a smile "something in the air, I guess".
We went out to grab food with Kaitlyn, AJ, Kofi, and Punk. It was already almost noon when we headed out of our room and left. The four of them where already there and seated. It didn't take long before some fans found us and started asking for autographs or photos. Others where kind enough to let us enjoy our food in piece. Once we finished and escaped the waiting crowd of fans and paparazzi we headed to the arena. The show started at 5:30 and it was already almost 2:00. I didn't have a match tonight but I did have a promo to cut with Roman, and a few others. Not only did creative have this "Total Diva" Vs. "True Diva" storyline going on but they wanted to introduce brand new tag team titles for inter-gender teams leading to the return of us Divas being able to mix it up with the Superstars again but of course, not everyone would be able to compete in this Division. Mainly Divas that could handle being in the ring with the guys would be allowed to compete. Eventually this would lead to the reveal of the new belts and a tournament between me and Roman, Brie and Daniel, Nattie and Tyson, Nikki and John, Naomi and Jimmy Uso, and AJ and Punk. Some of these pairs would have to come together in storyline soon but creative would handle that quickly and the best part of this was that I didn't have to drop my title to someone else if we won.
Also I would be going with Roman and Seth for their match tonight. It was the main event, a no disqualification against Cody and Goldust for the tag team titles. Me and Dean would be standing on the ramp in front of the whole locker room, who where being forced to watch from the stage. They where scheduled to lose after the Big Show attacked them but the two men didn't seem the least bit bothered with the fact that they would no longer be champions but instead, it seemed they where actually more excited for the match. As a matter of fact all three men seemed to be acting especially giddy all day long and it was freaking me out. Roman and Seth being in a good mood didn't surprise me considering they usually where but it was Dean who had been acting happier than usual. They had something up their sleeve, I had no idea what it was but I knew them all to well. However, when I had asked what they where all so excited about they just dismissed it and claimed they where just in a good mood. I wrestled with Kaitlyn and AJ in the ring for a little while before we sat together on a couple of crates in the back. "What do you girls think of those new titles?" I asked, "I think it's going to come down to the two of you along with Roman and Punk" Kaitlyn said, "I think Nattie and Tyson have a good chance also, having been trained in the Dungeon" AJ said, "I can't wait. I've missed wrestling with guys. Not that I don't like wrestling with you ladies or anything but wrestling against guys is how I made my mark in the Indies. It's how I can show what I'm able to do" I spoke. They agreed, it's not like it was a secret that the Divas Division needed a little bit of work when it came to putting on matches that reached the same caliber as the guys.
I left for hair and make-up about 20 minutes later and they put my hair in a curly ponytail and fixed up my make-up. Once they finished up with me I thanked them and headed to see Miss Sandra. She had called earlier to tell me she had a new outfit for me, a gift for becoming Divas Champion. I thanked her and headed to our locker room to put it on. They guys weren't there when I walked in, most likely in catering. I put on the outfit I had in my hands. It was a pair of black leather leggings, a black strapless bustier top that ended right above my belly button, and a pair of black high heels. When I looked in the mirror, I loved how it looked on me. The show started in 10 minutes so I grabbed my phone and championship and headed out the door to find the guys.
*Roman's P.O.V*
"She knows something is up" I said when Emma had left with Kaitlyn and AJ, "I think it's Dean that's freaking her out with his good mood" Dean raised an eyebrow "I still don't see why that would freak her out. It's like you guys think I'm never in a good mood" "you are…just not in the morning. You're cranky until you have breakfast and a coffee and sometimes, a workout" "yea, ok fine, I might be a little excited. But can you blame me? Today is going to be freaking huge!" he smiled, me and Seth looked at each other, "who knew Dean Ambrose was a sucker for marriage proposals?" Seth laughed, "don't tell a soul. I have an image to keep up" Dean said, suddenly turning serious. We laughed, "don't worry Ambrose, you're secret is safe with us" I smiled. Everyone knew what was happening tonight except for Emma. Everyone had to know so when the match was over and the show went off the air, nobody would disappear backstage. Stephanie had sent out a text to everyone to let them know, nobody was allowed to talk about it here at the arena for fear of Emma overhearing someone talking about it. The seamstress even took the liberty of making an outfit for Emma to wear tonight, claiming it was a gift for becoming Divas Champion.
The only thing that nobody knew aside from Vince, Hunter, and Stephanie was that I also had our parents, Jacob, Matt, Sophia, and Mandy and the kids flown out here to witness the special occasion. They where seated in the front row but they would come backstage before our match so Emma wouldn't see them then when I called her down to the ring, they would come out to the stage. I was hoping tonight would go off without a hitch. I was surprised that Vince had even let me go through with this, considering that it would be completely out of character for Roman Reigns, powerhouse of the Shield, to do a marriage proposal in front of a sold out crowd in the middle of the ring. Granted, some people might think this would be too soon, after all we've only been going out for 2 months, but I didn't care, I was ready. I knew Emma was the one that I wanted to be with forever so what was the point of waiting any longer? It didn't matter if she wanted to stay engaged for 5 years or if she wanted to have this wedding next week, as long as she said yes. Once the three of us changed into our gear we talked with Vince, who had came to the show to see the proposal. You knew it was big if the chairman was taking time out of his busy schedule to come and see it. Then we went to catering to kill some time. The vibe backstage was a really good one, nobody was talking about it but I knew nobody could wait until the moment came. Emma met us in catering when the show started. She looked amazing, but when did she not look amazing to me? She took a seat on my lap and pressed her soft lips to mine.
*Emma's P.O.V*
"You look beautiful" Roman whispered in my ear, wrapping his arms around my waist. I smiled at him "thank you. Miss Sandra just gave it to me, a gift for being Divas Champion". An hour into the show me and Roman went to where our promo was going to be filmed. I took a seat on one of the crates. The shoot started minutes later and me and Roman pretended to talk to each other when Brie walked into the shoot. I stopped mid-sentence and glanced at her. "What?" I questioned, she glared at me, "I think you have something I want" "and what's that? Talent?" I snickered, she rolled her eyes, "that Divas Championship, is what I want. Also I hope you don't think that you two are going to take the title of power couple. There is only room for one of those around here and it's me and Daniel" "yea, right, about that, I don't think it's possible for you and a goat to be considered a couple in the first place. And the day you deserve this championship more than me will be the day that you actually find your self some talent. Doing nothing but dropkicks doesn't really count as being a wrestler" "oh please, coming from the woman who went from a little nobody to some big star overnight. I've always been a star, and a star deserves a little bit of bling" "are you done?" I questioned, she smirked "yea" "great" and I punched her. Roman quickly put an arm around my waist and Daniel hurried into the shoot to beat down on Roman but Roman quickly hit back with a superman punch and Daniel landed on the floor next to Brie while the two of us glared at them, snickered, and walked away ending the shoot.
We talked with the two of them for a little while afterwards before heading to our locker room. It wasn't long before we had to head to our entrance spot for the guys' match. We headed out through the audience first before we jumped the barricade. I gave Roman a kiss and Seth a fist bump before me and Dean walked up to the middle of the ramp to watch. Cody and Goldust came down together, the Superstars and Divas moving to make room for them to pass. The match went off without a hitch, it was about 20 minutes and right on cue, the Big Show came out, knocked out Roman and Seth and Goldust got the pin on Seth. Me and Dean watched quietly, we where not supposed to go after Big Show but stay on the ramp and make sure no talent came and helped him. After a round of celebration Cody and Goldust left the ring and the show went off the air. The Big Show had disappeared in the crowd. I was confused as Seth rolled out of the ring and stood on my other side and Roman grabbed a microphone, he wasn't supposed to be cutting a promo. I looked over at Dean and he had a smile on his face.
"I know what you're all thinking. I just grabbed a mic to talk about how the two of us are going to get our titles back very soon. I have something I want to say but that isn't it. Emma, baby girl, why don't you come down here…" he spoke, looking at me. I had no idea what the hell was going on. The show had already gone off the air. The crowd seemed confused also because they didn't know if they should cheer or if they should boo. Confused, I glanced at the guys and they smiled. I walked to the ring and he held the ropes open for me with a smile. "There are few people in this world that find the one person that they can't live without. I'm one of those people because I found you. Two months ago I asked you one question, and it was if you would be my girlfriend. Today, however, in front of everyone here tonight, I'm asking you one more question…" The crowd began to cheer as he got down on one knee, my heart was racing a mile a minute as he pulled out a red velvet box from his pocket. I felt tear begin to fill my eyes as he opened it, "…Emma Marie Souza, will you marry me?". I put my hand over my mouth as the tears spilled over my eyes. Was this really happening right now? "Yes!" I cried as I held out my left, he smiled and placed the ring…the very same one that I seen with Seth…on my finger and stood up. "She said yes!" he said into the mic before tossing it over his shoulder and scooping me up in his arms and kissing me. The crowd began clapping, and when I looked towards the ramp I found everyone, my friends, my family, Sophia, Matt, everyone standing there clapping.
I kissed Roman one more time, "I love you so much" he smiled "I love you to baby girl" Everyone rushed down to the ring to congratulate us, even Vince was there. I couldn't believe it. I was getting married to the love of my life. Once we had retrieved to the back, we changed quick and headed back to the hotel and spent time with our families. I tackled Seth and Dean in a hug, "you two knew about this" they smiled "everyone knew but you" Dean said. I turned to Roman once we laid down in our bed, "you planned all this for me" he smiled and nodded, "of course I did, you deserve nothing but the best and I wanted to do something nobody's done. Do you like it?" I nodded "I absolutely love it, I couldn't have been more surprised. Funny, I actually fell in love with this ring when I had gone with Seth" he laughed "I know, he told me. That's why I got it for you" I kissed him, tears back in my eyes "you really are the best and I couldn't love you more". He smiled and whipped the tears "I love you to baby girl and I'm glad you said yes" I laughed "of course I would. There is no one else I would rather marry".
