A/N Well, it's Monday and we're finally to the first part of the final battle. Fair warning there's not a whole lot of Penny in this chapter because she's in wolf form so it's mostly dialogue from the movie. However, things might get interesting when Alice shows up in the next chapter.

lillydumbledore: Thanks, I wanted them to give each other something special since, as hard as it is to believe, that was their first Christmas together. Weird I know because with all that's happened it seems like a lot longer.
Aleena23: Thank you very much, i tried to make it interesting and fun to read. I totally understand having so much on your plate, I probably won't get to it much until spring, if then. Don't worry, I happen to enjoy rants so I'm glad my story can be a nice little escape bubble after a long day.
yesitsjennifer: ALL BY OURSELVES... yeah, we'll totally karaoke about our misfortune with men. Yeah, Sethy gets a nice happy relationship; that's one of the reasons I love fiction, I can help the characters find the happiness in love that I can't seem to find. To be honest, if you're this crazy sober I'd be terrified to see you hammered.

The next morning dawned bright and clear and very white. All the vampires gathered on the large snow covered field. Meanwhile, all of us wolves stayed in the white forest, for now.
"If we live through this, I'll follow you anywhere, woman," Garrett told Kate. I knew it! All the other wolves looked at me like I was crazy. I just rolled my eyes.
"Now you tell me," Kate replied.
The sounds of a mob of footsteps slowly drew closer. I stiffened a bit and Seth nuzzled me with his nose to calm me down. "The Redcoats are coming! The Redcoats are coming!" Garrett chanted quietly. I almost laughed at the reference. Just then a line of black figures marched towards us. The line parted just enough to let three black cloaked figures. They must be Aro, Caius, and Marcus. The Volturi continued to approach in perfect sync.
"Aro's looking for Alice," Edward announced quietly.
Jake howled signaling all of us to move out. Seth and I shared a look before I went to stand by Emmett and Rose. All the others spread out among the vampires and on the outer edges as Jake went to stand next to Bella. The Volturi halted and removed their hoods. We were outnumbered, by a lot.
Carlisle stepped forward, "Aro, let us discuss things as we used to. In a civilized manner."
"Fair words, Carlisle," the middle brunette, Aro, responded. "But a little out of place, given the battalion you've assembled against us."
"I can promise you, that was never my intent. No laws have been broken."
The blonde, Caius, scoffed, "We see the child. Do not treat us as fools."
"She is not an immortal!" Carlisle declared. "These witnesses can attest to that. Or you can look. See the flush of human blood in her cheeks."
"Artifice!" Caius growled. The third ancient, the other brunette, Marcus, looked bored.
Aro held up his hand, "I will collect every facet of the truth. But from someone more central to the story. Edward, since the child clings to your newborn mate, I assume you are involved." Aro stepped forward and held out his hand for Edward.
Edward and Bella shared a look before he crossed the snow towards Aro and the Volturi. Aro took Edward's hand and the entire field went completely silent. Aro's gift would allow him to hear everyone else's thoughts through Edward over however much amount of time he felt like.
A few minutes of pin drop silence later, Aro released Edward's hand and glanced at Nessie. "I'd like to meet her." Edward turned and nodded to Bella. She, Ness, and Jake started across the field. Bells then turned back and looked at Emmett and I. The two of us then followed her across the field. Seth growled softly but Sam shushed him. Up close, Aro was even creepier.
Aro stared at Bells in awe, "Ah. Young Bella. Immortality becomes you." He paused and looked down at Nessie. He then laughed weirdly with glee. Under any other circumstance I would have been rolling on the snow-covered ground laughing at how strange he sounded. "I hear her strange heart."
Ness glanced up at Bella and Edward, asking for permission, before approaching Aro. Jake growled softly just like Seth had earlier. "Hello, Aro," Nessie greeted the old vampire. Ness ignored Aro's outstretched hand and put her small hand on his cheek.
The whole guard stiffened as Aro watched Nessie in wonderment. "Magnifico!" the ancient bloodsucker whispered before straightening. "Half mortal, half immortal." Bella pulled Nessie back to her. "Conceived and carried by this newborn while she was still human."
"Impossible!" Caius snarled.
Aro turned to face his fellow leech, "Do you think they followed me, brother?" We all started to go back to our side. Jake growled at Aro before following. I returned to my spot next to Rose.
"Bring the informer forward," Caius ordered. A few of the guards brought a blonde vampire with golden eyes to Caius. Irina looked terrified. Caius gestured to us, "Is that the child you saw?"
"I'm not sure," Irina replied.
"Jane." The small angelic blonde girl just behind Caius glared at Irina.
"She's changed," Irina said before Jane could torture her. "This child is bigger."
"Then your allegations were false," Caius summarized.
"The Cullens are innocent. I take full responsibility for my mistake." Irina glanced toward all of us. "I'm sorry."
Within the space of a few seconds two of the guards ripped off Irina's arms while another handed Caius a torch. "Caius, no!" Edward yelled, but it was too late. Irina screamed just before another guard tore off her head.
"Irina!" Tanya and Kate screamed as Caius set her ablaze. Both Kate and Tanya started for Caius in a fit of rage. Emmett and Eleazar easily caught Tanya, but Kate was more difficult. Garrett grabbed a hold of her and cried out in pain as she shocked him but didn't let her go.
"Blind them!" Edward told Zafrina. Tanya and Kate stopped struggling a bit.
"Give me my sight back," Tanya demanded.
"Tanya, this is what they want," Edward said trying to convince her. "If you attack now, we'll all die." Both of the blonde vamps relaxed and Zafrina gave them back their sight. I glanced towards Bells and saw that Ness was on Jake's back for some reason.
Suddenly, Edward crumbled to the snow in pain. I gasped and glared at Jane. But miraculously Edward stood up completely fine. Bella! Guess she figured her shield out.
"It's working," Edward said as he stood by Bells.
Bella smirked a little and Jane stepped forward but a brown haired vamp stopped her, must've been Alec. Black stuff began to float out of Alec's hands but Aro held up his hand to stop him. The whole guard tensed and I couldn't help but feel just a bit hopeful.
