There was a change of plans. Cheetahoid saw how Ian and Neon weren't going to play well together or train together so he made them apologize to all the Bakugan families they disturbed with their loud battle.

Bakugan homes were a lot like animal homes. They picked a wide space of land and say it belongs to them. In a crater that looked like a meteor fell on it, there were two brown Subterra Serpenoid's wrapped together. Cheetahoid told Ian before coming to this home that these Bakugan were parents and this was so they could warm their little boy. It figures since snakes were cold blooded (even though Serpenoid's were Bakugan's) and they lived outside in freezing weather so the parents had to warm him up.

" Hello Mr. and Mrs. Serpenoid," Cheetah spoke to the two mated Sepenoid's in a friendly tone, much different than the tone he was giving Ian and Neon. " These two boys are here to apologize for the noise they caused you. Isn't that right, boys?"

Neon crossed his arms and turned around. He was not happy about having to apologize to these two just because he was having a battle. Ian fiddled with his fingers while nervously thinking about what he was going to say.

" I-I'm...We are sorry if we made so much noise. We are very sorry and want you to know we didn't mean to disturb you. If there's anything we can do to make it up to you please tell us."

Ian was a very shy and nervous person. Talking to adults was enough to make him pass out from thinking too hard, but these were giant snake Bakugan. Ian looked up with one eye. The Serpenoids stuck out their tongues and then smiled in a way that dried their lips and made them look almost disgusting. And after they smiled they looked at Neon expecting an apology from him.

Cheetahoid grabbed Neon with one arm and turned him around. He was looking at the two Serpenoid's. His arms were still crossed and he answered in an upset tone " Sorry."

"That's it?" Cheetahoid was unimpressed by Neon's apology. He grabbed Neon and lifted him off the ground. Neon was undaunted and still looked very upset. " Your friend says a good apology and all you can say is your sorry?"

" Fine. I'm sorry you had to hear our battle but we were fighting our biggest battle. If you want to stop an awesome battle then get out of your homes and tell us yourself."

That was a terrible apology and it embarrassed Cheetahoid having to listen to it. He dropped Neon who got back up and walked away.

The two Serpenoid's were sticking their tongues out at Ian. Ian had no idea what was going on between them. At last the Serpenoid who was female spoke. " That's okay. And you don't have to do anything for us, we have everything under control right here."

Ian was glad to hear that. And Neon was captured by Cheetahoid and brought back to Ian. Neon flailed his arms in the air trying to get out, but Cheetahoid was holding him too tightly against his collar. Ian was afraid that Cheetahoid was choking him. But Neon could still yell, something he couldn't do if Cheetahoid was choking him.

" Let go of me you big furball!"

It was like this for the rest of the families. They walked in the forest or walked somewhere that was a wasteland or a swamp (mostly forests) and Ian would apologize to all the families there. Neon would also apologize, but find some way to blame the families for what they were doing which wasn't very nice and made Cheetahoid want to throw him in the air.

After apologizing to all the families Cheetahoid made them go to bed. Their bed was a cave filled with stalagmites, flow stones, and stalactites. This cave was the only place they could go to bed and not be attacked by flying Bakugan. Cheetahoid was the bed. He threw Neon on his back and Ian climbed up Cheetahoid's back.

" You did a good thing apologizing to those families." Ian blushed. He quickly laid down and closed his eyes. Cheetahoid glared at Neon. " You could learn a thing or two from this boy. Now go to bed."

" I hope a Darkon Bakugan finds us in this cave, pulls me and Ian off your back, and eats you while we are sleeping," Neon blurted out. He then put his head down and fell asleep.

Taking care of teenagers was hard. It was almost as hard as taking care of children. Cheetahoid never had children or a wife. However, he was a teacher of some Bakugan before the attack on his village. Most of them were like Ian. They were humble and sweet and even when they made mistakes they would apologize like good Bakugan. It was a relief none of them were like Neon. Cheetahoid stuck out his tongue and sucked it back in.

The tongue sticking out was something Cheetahoid did when he was sad or depressed. Since his village was destroyed he did it so many times he couldn't keep count, but it was somewhere over one million times. Maybe it was having these two around was why he was no longer afraid of something bad happening again, maybe it was having two young earthlings who wanted to be his pupils was the reason why he had a soft warm feeling in his heart, or maybe...he believed the village with Ian and Neon's help would be reborn. He wanted them to sleep and he fell asleep.

' Pleasant dreams.'

Ian was having a strange dream. He was walking through what was pillars of rocks in a strange terrain. He didn't know what region he was suppose to be in because there was too much thick fog for him to see through. While wondering why Ian was having a dream like this he bumped into someone. It was too foggy to see, and a little scary to see at first, but when it talked Ian recognized who it was.

" Ian." Leontess stepped out of the fog. He was in the same behemoth form he walked around with in Vestroia. It took a moment for Ian to adjust his eyes and see through the fog.

" What are you doing in my dream, Leontess?" Ian asked.

" I'm using my psychic powers to communicate to your inner thoughts—the part of your mind that's still active when your sleeping. I didn't want to wake you but there was something I wanted to tell you. I want you to walk outside."

" Can you tell me why I have to walk outside?" Ian asked his second question.

" Because I have something I want to show you, courtesy of Darkon and Cheetahoid."

" Shouldn't we wake Neon and show it to him?"

" No. Darkon told me not to tell Neon. If Neon was captured, Darkon told me, he would tell our enemies about it in a millisecond."

" I guess that makes sense." Ian still didn't trust Neon. He kept his head up waiting for Neon to do something to prove he still wasn't working for Donal. " I want to wake up but I don't know how."

" Leave it to me."

The terrain below Ian's feet started to change. It turned into a green field of green light. Ian's eyes wavered from the ground to the sky that also was changing into green light. Ian couldn't put his head around it, and then he felt the green light surrounded him.

Ian woke up. He quickly jumped off the back of Cheetahoid and ran out of the cave. Waiting for him on the outside was the Bakugan behemoth Leontess. Leontess crouched down for Ian to crawl up his back.

" Where are we going, Leontess?" Ian asked.

"Not very far. We are only going back to the mountains where we fought Darkon."

" We're going back there?!" Ian gasped. That place was in ruins from the electric attacks and beams from Leontess's mouth. How was there anything important in there? " What makes you think anything important is there?"

" Because before our battle against Neon his Bakugan Darkon noticed something that looked like a chapter."

" How do you know it hasn't been destroyed since the destruction?"

Leontess chuckled a little. Ian was confused. There was a pit in his stomach telling this might be some kind of weird joke. Ian was too confused to laugh. " We don't know. That's why we're going back there, to find out if it's still there."

Ian hold on tight to Leontess's back. Leontess took into the air and flew towards the mountain. The mountain suffered much brutality because of what Neon and Ian did. Even though it was a piece of rock it wasn't right to damage it like that. Ian felt sorry for it. If Ian found a way he would make it up to the mountain and the Bakugan who had to deal with his and Neon's hollow battle.
