Trinity stood between Kid and Killer as the ship sailed away from the base and sighed. She could still feel the animosity both had towards the other and wanted nothing more than to ignore it, but knew she couldn't do that. She may have stopped their fight earlier, and cleaned up the mess where Killer's mask had fallen onto the deck of the ship as well as when he'd thrown Kid into the side railing of the ship. Trinity barely managed to have her spirits catch Kid and save him from falling over the edge and drowning. Even after a couple of hours had passed, both were still pretty upset and it was starting to grate on Trinity's nerves. It was painfully obvious to see, what with Killer's body language and Kid's glares. The fact Killer had his arms crossed over his chest instead of at his sides or shoved in his pockets like usual, told Trinity he was still pissed even though she couldn't see her brother's face. As for Kid….well it didn't exactly take a genius to see he was still pissed since he kept glaring or scowling in his first mate's direction every couple of minutes and Trinity was starting to get a headache from their childish actions. She signed up to be a pirate, not a babysitter.

"Hey Chamberlain! How long til we reach the next island!?"

Trinity called out once she saw the navigator walking across the upper deck of the ship and smiled at him when he turned towards her.

"About two hours, if the sea doesn't decide to test us."

He called back before walking off and Trinity could only sigh as she settled herself in for a long wait. She couldn't understand how any time she tried to leave to go back to her room or do something to entertain herself until they reached the island both Kid and Killer would shout for her to stay still, only to glare at each other afterwards until she sat back down. It was like dealing with two dogs fighting over a bone, it was ridiculous.

"I still can't believe you fucked up my mask."

Killer grumbled under his breath, but loud enough to be heard and Trinity saw Kid's shoulders tense from the comment before he spun and glared outright at his first mate.

"You shouldn't have said what you did!"

He growled and Trinity groaned silently to herself when she saw her brother turn to face Kid and they both started arguing once more.

"Oh for the love of all that's holy, will you two just shut the fuck up already!?"

Trinity snapped after her patience was pushed to the limit and she couldn't deal with listening to them argue anymore.

"Kid, what Killer said was the truth whether you like to admit it or not."

She said to Kid and saw him glare at her, but she ignored him and turned instead towards her brother.

"Killer, not another word to Kid about what he did or what he said. You two fought it out already and if I have to hear another word about it from either of you I swear I will not hesitate to kick both of you overboard, devil fruit or not."

She said and mentally smiled at the fact both of them didn't say a word after that, but frowned when they both turned on their heel away from each other and pretty much pouted at having been fussed at.

Dear God, these two are worse than toddlers.

Trinity thought with another sigh before leaning back against the mast since that was where Kid and Killer had decided to start fighting again and she had broken them up. It was simply ridiculous how much they were fighting, but at the same time she was surprised it hadn't happened until just recently. She knew Kid had started to shove his duties off onto others ever since she came back, but he had missed her and now that she was back Kid wanted to be with her as much as he could. However, Kid was right in the fact Killer should still show him the proper amount of respect despite how Kid was acting. Now she was stuck between them and couldn't move until they reached the next island since she didn't think either one of them would be able to be near the other without saying or doing something that would wind up pissing her off or end up in them fighting again.

The sounds of the waves hitting the ship as the wind pushed against the sails and propelled them forward was a soothing sound, as was the sound of the seagulls and other noises the crew made as they went about their business, but the small sounds that would normally make Trinity smile made her frown as they were driving her insane. It was too quiet to be loud, but too loud to be quiet and she needed something to change before she started screaming. She started tapping her hands on the heel of her boots since she was sitting cross-legged and smiled just slightly when they made a rather loud thump. She repeated the action again and again, tapping out a rhythm that had suddenly popped into her head and had started to hum along with it without realizing it. She closed her eyes and started singing, a smile tugging at her lips as she did so and didn't even notice she had drawn the attention of Kid and Killer.

"In The End as we fade into the night

Woah oh oh

Who will tell the story of your life…."

Trinity kept the same beat she had started with one hand and started another one with her other hand before starting to sing again.

"In The End

As my soul's laid to rest

What is left of my body

Or am I just a shell

And I have fought

And with flesh and blood I commanded an Army

Through it all I have given my heart for a moment of glory

I gave it all…."

Trinity was so absorbed in her song that she didn't realize she had attracted the attention of Doc, Chamberlain, Heat, and Corgi. They all stood on the upper deck of the ship staring down at her from her place leaning against the mast of the ship as she continued to tap out the rhythm only she heard and sang the song that only she knew the lyrics to.

"In The End as we fade into the night

Woah oh oh

Who will tell the story of your life

Woah oh oh

And who will remember your last goodbye

WOAH OH OH

Cause its the end

And I'm not afraid

I'm not afraid to die

I'm not afraid,i'm not afraid to die

Born a saint

But with every sin I still want to be holy

I will live again

Who we are

Isn't how we live we are more than our bodies

If I fall I will rise back up and relive my glory

In The End as we fade into the night

Woah oh oh

Who will tell the story of your life

Woah oh oh

And who will remember your last goodbye

WOAH OH OH

Cause its the end

And I'm not afraid

I'm not afraid to die

In The End as we fade into the night

Woah oh oh

Who will tell the story of your life

Woah oh oh

And who will remember your last goodbye

WOAH OH OH

Cause It's The End

And I'm not afraid

I'm not afraid to die

Who will remember this last goodbye

Cause It's The End

And I'm not afraid

I'm not afraid to die

Not Afraid

I'm Not Afraid to die

Not Not Afraid

I'm Not Afraid to die…."

Trinity stopped tapping her boots and opened her eyes with a smile on her face. Music was always something that made her feel better, even as a child when her sister would sing to her the songs their mother had sung to her when she was younger. Trinity had always been jealous of her sister's voice and had begged and begged for Reina to teach her how to sing and how to play instruments. She had only managed to learn about her diaphragm and three chords on the guitar before she lost her sister. After that, Trinity taught herself. She didn't think her voice was nearly as beautiful as her sister Reina's, but she liked to think she had a unique sound to her voice when she sang.

"Are you often going to randomly burst out into song or was that just a one time treat Rin?"

Killer asked and Trinity looked up to see her brother, Kid, and everyone else staring at her and felt her face burn at the attention. She knew Kid and Killer would hear her when she started singing and she was fine with that, but she didn't know the rest of the crew that was sailing with them would as well. There was only one time she'd sang in front of the crew and that was during the Davy Back Fights, she'd been so focused on never losing those she considered family again that she hadn't bothered to be embarrassed about singing in front of so many, but now she could. Small groups she was fine with, but singing in front of so many…..

"Lay off Killer, she probably just wanted something to do since we wouldn't let her leave."

Kid said and Trinity looked at him surprised at the fact he had said so jokingly and with a smile towards his first mate instead of the scowl he'd been wearing for the past several hours.

"I suppose you're right, dealing with us probably isn't the easiest thing in the world to do."

Killer said and Trinity could only stare in shock at both her brother and her captain. It was like they had just completely forgotten their anger towards each other and it did nothing but confuse her.

"I give up."

Trinity mumbled under her breath after a while of trying to understand the two men standing on either side of her before getting to her feet. She didn't really need to know why they both suddenly decided to let their anger towards one another go, all she cared about was the fact they had and she wouldn't have to deal with them yelling and fighting with each other any more.

"LAND!"

Corgi shouted from the side of the ship and Trinity looked past her brother and captain to see the island they were coming up on. When she saw the snow-capped mountain in the middle of the island, the bright, white blanket covering the entire island and the flurries still falling, she frowned immediately and turned towards Kid.

"Any way you'd let me sit this one out?"

She asked hopefully only to be disappointed when Kid smirked widely at her.

"Not a chance."

He said and Trinity could only groan as they drew ever closer to the winter island. This was not going to be fun for anyone.

Kid stepped off the gangplank and onto the island, the snow crunching loudly beneath his boots as he walked.

"Wire, Doc!"

Kid called out and his doctor and shipwright were by his side in seconds waiting for him to tell them what to do.

"Go see what supplies you can gather, Killer, Rin, and I will find us a place to stay."

He said and both of them nodded before going to do as he said. Kid was about to head off towards the village himself when he noticed his musician still hadn't gotten off the ship.

"Rin, get a move on!"

He called up to her, but saw her shake her head and refuse to move.

"NO! It's cold!"

She shouted and Kid sighed before walking past Killer and up the gangplank until he was standing right in front of his musician. He saw she had her arms wrapped around herself and she was shaking like a leaf. Though with her wearing nothing but an off the shoulder halter top with a skull on it with a mesh undershirt and a pair of cut-off shorts that stopped at her thighs it was no wonder she was cold. At least she was wearing boots.

"You're not staying on the ship Rin."

He said and saw Trinity open her mouth to say something, but he didn't give her a chance. He grabbed one of her arms and pulled her behind him as he walked back down the gangplank and onto the island once more. He ignored her shouting at him to let her go and that she didn't like the cold until they reached Killer. The masked blonde stared at them for a few seconds before turning and starting to head into the village.

"You are evil!"

Trinity shouted and Kid looked down at his musician who had snuck under his fur coat and snuggled up to his side. He didn't particularly mind having her that close to him, but he didn't like the fact she felt practically frozen when he wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Chamberlain."

Kid said and the young navigator who had remained silent up until this point moved so he was instep with Kid.

"Take this and go with Trinity to get some clothes better suited for this kind of weather."

He said handing Chamberlain a bag of coins. When Trinity didn't move out from under his coat, Kid looked down to see his musician once again refused to move.

"Rin…"

He started, but she once again shook her head.

"I'm not moving dammit! I don't care if I'll get warmer later, it's warmer under here next to you than out there!"

She snapped and Kid sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose with his mechanical arm before letting go of Trinity's waist and stepping away, ignoring her cries of protest, before shrugging out of his fur coat and draping it around her shoulders.

"There, now you should be fine until you get to the store."

He said and saw Trinity stare up at him in shock, but that only made him smile. He loved when he was able to surprise her. He loved when he saw the sadistic, gleeful look she got in her eyes when she killed, but he loved when he saw her eyes clouded over with lust, full of confusion, full of love. He just loved when he could bring out a different reaction out of her each time.

"Go on, we don't need you catching a cold."

Kid said as he started to step back to continue heading towards the village, but stopped when he felt arms suddenly wrap around his neck. He blinked in shock when he realized Trinity had once again attacked him.

"Ri-"

He started, but she cut him off with a kiss and he growled into it for her cutting him off before wrapping his arm around her waist and pulling her closer to him as he deepened the kiss.

"Enough you two, you're starting to melt the snow."

Killer said with a groan and Kid pulled apart as Trinity laughed. He smiled when he saw the slight pink tint to her cheeks.

"Go on, we'll be at the Inn when you finish."

Kid said, leaning down and kissing her one last time before going with Killer towards the village, ignoring the bits of snow that fell on his shoulders and hit his back as he walked. They sent small chills to parts of his body, but he ignored it as he continued walking. Trinity was warm and that's all that mattered to him.
