I walk with Ken and Chikusa down to the nearest store. I'm a bit too worried to head all the way down to Namimori's shopping district today. "So what are we getting today, Ken? Anything you want in particular, Chikusa?" I ask. "It's still cold out so I thought that I should make hot-pot tonight for dinner."

"Just cook what you usually do for hot-pot," Ken replies. Chikusa nods.

"Alright."

We continue to walk and I see Sawada and his usual crew. "Ah! Vonogla!" Ken exclaims angrily. "What are you guys doing here?!"

"You guys are…" Miura starts.

Sasagawa finishes, "The one's we met the other day."

"Hey! Are you responsible for what happened?!" Ken says angrily.

"Eh? W-What are you talking about?" Sawada asks.

The Storm Guardian jumps in front of Sawada protectively. "Responsible for what?!"

"Chrome," Chikusa replies.

"Ken, wait. It's fine. I asked Sawada-san for help last night," I say to Ken.

"Chrome?!" Sawada exclaims. "Sato-san, what's going on?"

Sasagawa asks, "Chrome-chan?"

"Is she back?" asks Miura.

Ken blushes a little and I chuckle. "Y-Yeah… Late last night," he replies.

"Really?" I-Pin asks happily.

"Oh really? That's great!" Sawada says with a smile.

"It's not," I reply bluntly.

Ken nods in agreement. "It's not great at all!"

"Eh?" Sawada asks.

Miura asks, "What's wrong?"

"Could it be that Chrome-chan…" Sasagawa starts.

"Is hurt?" I-Pin finishes.

"No, she's fine, but…" Chikusa starts.

Ken frowns. "Chrome is acting weird!"

Sasagawa and Miura ask at the same time, "Weird?"

"Yeah, that's right! It's your fault that Chrome is acting strange! It all started when she started hanging out with you guys!" Ken shouts angrily. "You should just be glad that Kasumi isn't acting weird too!"

"That's crazy!" Sawada exclaims.

"What are you saying we did?" the Storm Guardian asks.

Sasagawa and Miura turn to each other. "Chrome chan…?" Sasagawa starts.

"I can't believe it," Miura says sadly.

"In any case, Chrome isn't her normal-self right now," Chikusa says.

Sasagawa and Miura nod to each other and start to run off with I-Pin. "Ah!" Sawada exclaims, "Kyoko-chan! Haru! I-Pin!"

"Hey, Kyoko!" Sasagawa shouts.

"Onii-chan! We're going on ahead!" Sasagawa shouts back to her brother.

"Tsuna-san! Please come later!"

"Ah! Wait!" Sawada shouts as he chases after them.

The Sun Guardian follows. "Kyoko!"

"Tenth!" the Storm Guardian shouts.

"Gokudera, let's go," the Rain Guardian says.

"Yeah," he replies. He looks over to Ken, Chikusa, and I. "I'll beat the crap out of you if you're lying!"

I cross my arms. "Is there a reason for me to be?" I ask.

They all run off and Ken scowls. "Why would I lie?" Ken starts to walk off in the other direction.

"Where are you going?" Chikusa asks.

"I'm hungry so, I'm gonna hit the snack shop," Ken replies as he continues to walk.

"Oh, you're going to by chocolate puff grain for Chrome," Chikusa says. I smile a little.

"No I'm not!" Ken protests, "I'm buying some for myself!"

I pull out some money and hand it to Chikusa. "I guess that I'll go after Sawada and the others. Can you buy the ingredients for dinner for me, Chikusa?" He nods. "Thanks. I'll be on my way to the sob festival then." I sigh before I start to walk back home.

I listen in on what's happening from outside of the room. I can't stand emotional things like this. I lean back on the wall and sigh quietly as I fiddle with the sleeves of my shirt. I hear the Storm Guardain shout, "What are you say?! Aren't you one of the Tenth's Guardians?!" I hear footsteps. He's probably going for Dokuro.

I get up and walk into the room. I think it's about time I said something. "Keep walking and I'll kick you out, Storm Guardian," I say. "Don't forget that you're in my home right now."

"S-Sato-san!" Sawada exclaims.

The Rain Guardian grabs the Storm Guardian's wrist. "Wait, Gokudera!"

"Let me go, damn it!" he replies angrily. Sawada calms him down as usual though. I frown, but I walk out of the room quietly.

I follow Sawada and the others as they go out and let Sasagawa, Miura, Dokuro, I-Pin, and the Sky Arcobaleno have their privacy. I listen as they discuss their opinions on the topic. The Rain Guardian's seems to be the most reasonable, but the Sun Guardian's opinion bothers me. Gender shouldn't play that big of a role in this and the thought of not returning to the future even though I can and am willing to fight bothers me. After living with Ken, Chikusa, and Mukuro for so long though, I guess that it's more like a matter of their pride. "I hate to insult your male pride like this, but you're looking down on girls far too much," I say. "The fact that Chrome is a girl shouldn't play such a big part in this."
Sawada look at me. "Sorry…"

I shake my head. "The Storm Guardian is forgetting that not everyone was raised in the mafia. Dokuro was from a regular family before Mukuro-sama saved her. She just wanted to help Mukuro-sama because for the first time, someone wanted her help," I explain. "Or, that's what I was told anyways. There's a chance that she just wasn't expecting it to be like this. Though, I really doubt that this is the case." I start to walk off. "Well, whatever you decide isn't up to me. I've said all I think that needs to be mentioned. Just don't forget that regardless of what you say, I'll be going back to the future."

I walk around Namimori aimlessly and I end up in the shopping district. I look around at the stores and find a bookstore. I walk in and start to look around. It's a pretty small store, but they seem to have a variety of books. I walk into a section for cook books and find that they have books ranging from simple dishes to dishes from different cultures. I pick up the beginner's one, one for some Japanese dishes, and one for Italian dishes and head to the front to pay for the books. The cashier tries to make some idle chat with me. "Oh, Italian dishes?"

I nod. "Yes, I moved here from Italy," I reply.

"How nice. Are you enjoying living here?"

"Yes. It's been quite interesting." I take the bag with the books from the cashier and pay. "Have a nice day." I walk out of the store. I guess that these would suit Dokuro since she seemed to develop an interest in cooking while we were in the future. I walk outside and continue to walk around, but I quickly loose interest and head back home.

When I get back, I find Sawada and the others walking towards the front with a few of the Arcobaleno. "They still haven't left?" I ask. Suddenly, there's the sound of shrieking from inside and it seems like illusions are coating the building. Daemon Spade finally strikes… I frown. "I'm heading in on my own," I say before run in myself.

"Wait! We need your help dealing with the illusions," Sawada says.

I frown. "Okay. I'll stay, but I'm warning you that these illusions are very strong and I don't even know if I'll be able to neutralize a small portion if at all."

"Tch, better than nothing," the Storm Guardian comments.

"I'm flattered," I reply sarcastically.

"This must be the work of the first-generation Mist Guardian," the red Arcobaleno comments.

"Eh? The first-generation Mist Guardian? Why would he do this?" Sawada asks.

I watch as the Sun Guardian charges in recklessly and comes back out. "What?! I ran straight into the mist, but came back out!" he shouts. "Damn! One more time!"

"That's a waste of time," I say.

"Kasumi is right," Reborn agrees.

The red Arcobaleno says, "This illusion was created by the first-generation Mist Guardian."

The blue Arcobaleno concludes, "It isn't possible to go inside, maggots!"

"No way!" Sawada exclaims.

"Isn't there something we can do?" Sasagawa asks.

"Oh, someone's there," Lambo comment as he looks up at the building. We all turn back around.

"Who's up there?!" the Storm Guardian exclaims.

"AH! That's Chrome!" Sawada shouts. I look at "Dokuro" and she smiles almost insanely. It's not her.

"I-I've got a bad feeling about this," Reborn's lackey says.

The red Arcobaleno comments seriously, "Something isn't right."

"What's with that overwhelming aura?" the blue Arcobaleno asks.

"Sawada, Tsunayoshi… I deem you unfit to be Vonogla the Tenth. Unfit to carry on the Vonogla Family," the illusion says.

"What are you saying?!" the Storm Guardian shouts back angrily.

"What brought this on?" the Rain Guardian asks.

The Sun Guardian asks, "Aren't you a Guardian?!"

"No, you've got it wrong. That's not Chrome! Who are you?!" Sawada shouts.

"Vongola super intuition is pretty good, huh?" I ask. I cross my arms. "Don't be fooled. Like Sawada-san noticed, it is an illusion."

"Mmm, I see that you at least have the Vonogla super intuition. As for you, young girl, it seems that you're a better illusionist than I would have thought," a man's voice says. It's Daemon Spade…

"That voice is…" the Storm Guardian starts.

"A man's voice?!" the Rain Guardian exclaims.

I watch as the illusion of Dokuro disappears and Daemon Spade appears in its place. "Who are you?!" Sawada shouts angrily.

"Daemon Spade…" I mutter.

"Yeah. The first-generation Vongola Mist Guardian. Daemon Spade," Reborn explains. Daemon Spade frowns.

"H-He's…?" the Rain Guardian asks.

The Storm Guardian asks, "The first-generation Vongola Mist Guardian?"

"He's Daemon Spade?!" the Sun Guardian exclaims.

"Why are you doing this?" Sawada asks him. "What did you do to Kyoko-chan and the girls?"

Daemon spade chuckles and raises his left arm. "Take a look." An illusion of them being contained in an illusionary dome is shown.

"Why are you doing this?!" Sawada asks.

"As I said, I do not accept you as the one who will carry on the Vongola Family. And I do not accept the rest of you as Guardians," Daemon Spade replies.

"We were deemed worthy of our inheritance!" the Sun Guardian shouts.

"That's right!" the Rain Guardian agrees. I look for a way to get through the illusion somehow. Every illusion has to have a weak point somewhere. It's just as matter of how big that weak point is and how well it's hidden.

"You don't accept me as the one who will carry on the Vongola Family?" Sawada asks.

Daemon Spade replies, "Exactly."

"That doesn't mean that you can threaten Kyoko-chan and the other girls!" Sawada shouts back.

"That's right!" the Sun Guardian exclaims. "Release them!"

Daemon Spade smiles knowingly. "Mm, the expected reaction. You people are so simpleminded."
"Eh?" Sawada asks.

The Sun Guardian asks, "What you mean?!"

"When attacking the other party, you naturally aim for those that are close to the person you are aiming for and those who are the weakest," I say. "Not too many people actually care if it's morally just or anything like that."

"Exactly," Daemon Spade says with a nod. "I realized how much you value them after a period of observation."

"Wha-" Sawada asks.

"When them in my control, you would be forced to submit to my will. I took control of Chrome so I could draw them out," Daemon Spade explains. He formed and executed that plan so quickly!

"'Took control of Chrome'?" the Storm Guardian asks. "Then you were…"

"So Chrome didn't actually mean the things she was saying!" the Rain Guardian exclaims.

The Sun Guardian shouts, "You're such a coward!"

"You took Sasagawa and the others as hostages so you could force us to accept your demands?" the Storm Guardian asks.

"Eh? Demands?" Sawada asks. "So that's the reason you took Kyoko-chan, Haru and the other's as hostages?" He didn't realize…? "So what will it take for you to release them?!" Sawada shouts at Daemon Spade.

"I have but one demand. I wish for you to become the ideal heirs to the Vongola tradition," Deamon Spade replies.

As the others start to wonder about this and comment that they've already passed the inheritance, I ask, "What are your ideals then? You're ideals contradict those of the other Guardian's, right?"

He nods. "Well said. It's strength." He explains, "An organization with enough strength to overwhelm any foe. That is how the Vonogla Family should be."

"Enough strength…" Sawada starts.

"To overcome any foe," the Storm Guardian finishes.

Deamon Spade says, "The Vongola Family must be the strongest organization. And if you carry on the tradition, you need a heartless nature capable of crushing all foes."

"No way…" Sawada says quietly.

"You don't have time to hesitate," Daemon Spade says. He motions over to the illusion again and it looks like they're in pain.

"That's terrible! They're all in pain!" Sawada shouts.

"K-Kyoko!" the Sun Guardian shouts.

The Storm Guardian protests, "That's dirty, damn it!"

Sawada shouts, "Please release them at once!"

Daemon Spade continues to smile. "You can save them if you defeat me."

"What?" the Storm Guardian asks.

"They have nothing to do with this!" the Sun Guardian shouts angrily.

"That's not true. They are currently suffering their involvement with Sawada, Tsunayoshi," Daemon Spade says. They all gasp and the Sun Guardian glares at Sawada. "That is the fate of one who inherits an entire organization. Hasn't that been the case all along? Family, friends, and acquaintances may all be targeted by the enemy."

"All because they got involved with me," Sawada says. He seems like he's feeling guilt. It was inevitable. You shouldn't torment yourself over it.

Daemon Spade asks, "Do you understand now? That's what it means to become the boss of the Vongola. You don't have time to worry about the people around you. And you must show no mercy in destroying those who oppose the Vongola. You must have the ruthlessness it takes to spare no foe." Daemon Spade points at Sawada. "Become strong, Sawada, Tsunayoshi. Become a boss whom people will fear to defy."

Sawada's expression turns serious. "I still don't know what it is that I need. But there's one thing that I can be sure of. That I have to save Chrome, Kyoko-chan, and the others!" Daemon Spade looks surprised. "If you're telling us to destroy our enemies, then you're up first! Daemon Spade!"

Daemon Spade smiles. "Then let's begin." An opening in the illusion appears. "If you wish to defeat me and save the girls in the movie theater, you must show me your resolve. The participants will be Sawada, Tsunayoshi and every Guardian present."
"Huh? Even Lambo?" Sawada asks.

I look at Lambo, who seems frightened to death, but even so, he declares, "I can do this! I'll take out the guy who shut them up!"

"Lambo, you…" Sawada says.

"Stupid cow…"

Lambo seems on the verge of crying. "I said that I'm doing this! Lambo-san's not scared at all!" he declares.

I pat Lambo on the head. "Well said, Lambo." I hand him a grape candy. "Here, you can have it."

"We can protect Lambo!" Sawada says. He looks at all of us. We're in agreement. "Thanks, Lambo."

Daemon Spade says, "In that case, I'll be waiting in the movie theater." I gaps as he jumps down and throws me over his shoulder. "However, I can't have you helping them."

"Sato-san!" Sawada shouts.

"Goth Loli!" the Storm Guardian exclaims.
