A/N: Again when we his 1000 reviews, favorites and follows I will post another sneak peak chapter. Also Fairy Tail is NOT coming into the Story. MY Erza is based off of Fairy Tail's Erza, but they aren't the same person.
Rise of the Kaizoukage
XXXVI: Training Begins
"I'm flattered." Shen said as he placed his right thumb over his right pinky, at the same time he placed his middle finger over his right ring and index fingers. "For that I'll use my bloodline. Come at me with the intent to kill…"
"You have a bloodline?"
"Yep, I got it from my mother." Shen cocked back his right hand "Watch closely or you'll miss it." Kushina charged Shen as fast as she could, swinging her blade for his head. KLANG Shen raised his right hand and intercepted the katana strike with his bare flesh.
"What? Kushina wondered. Briefly she could have sworn there was a kunai hovering around his right hand, colliding with the blade. While Kushina was bewildered Shen raised his left hand to his lips in a half hand sign.
'Kōton: Chimei-tekina Ken Reppū!' He took a sharp intake of air. BOOOOM-WOOOSH A massive wind emerged from Shen's mouth and swallowed Kushina as it tore through the arena. The wind alone was fierce enough to tear through solid rock with slight resistance, add that to the thousands of small blades dancing in the gale and you have one terrifying technique. Kushina barely was able to raise her sword, as she was thrown around, to divert the wind around her to avoid maximum damage. When the fierce wind died down Kushina stood just off the far wall, covered in small scratch wounds and her sword held up in front of her.
"What the Hell was that?" She demanded
"Part of my bloodline" Shen said raising his right hand in its strange position; he also raised his left hand. Its middle finger was placed over the index and ring fingers while the pinky and the thumb were spread out wide. "From my mother I inherited the lost art of Kōton. As far as I know, I am the last remaining Steel Release user in the world. Now watch closely…" He cocked back his right hand "KUNAI!" he shouted as he thrust his right arm forward. BOOOOOM In that instant a black Kunai, larger than normal, emerged from Shen's hand and rocketed towards Kushina.
The red haired Shinobi raised her sword and swung down to intercept the large kunai. KLANG Sparks flew as the two blades collided with great force. KREEESH-BOOOOOM after a struggle Kushina managed to slice the kunai in half and the two pieces sailed right by her, crashing into the far wall as they did.
"Nice spring loaded Kunai Shen. Kushina said as Shen simply smiled.
"Shuriken Storm!" Shen flung his left arm forward and out of nowhere thirty shuriken formed out of thin air and flew right at Kushina. The red haired kunoichi dodged and weaved through the oncoming shuriken, only getting a small cut on her shoulder.
"If it's OK with you I'll be attacking now." She added grinning.
"About time if you ask me" Shen replied holding his hands out to either side; each one in its own unique position. "Let's have some fun."

Shen charged Kushina, his hands in a new position. This time the thumbs and pinky fingers were bent in while the three remaining fingers were next to each other. Behind his hands two moderately curved swords, each with a single sharp edge, appeared. The Uzumaki half-blood then grabbed the blades, the left blade in a reverse grip and the right one forward.
KLANG KLANG KLANG Kushina intercepted his blades with her own resulting in a flurry of sparks as Shen quickly spun around flashing his blades dangerously and aiming for all points. Shen's relentless attack forced Kushina to be heavily on the defensive.
'Suiton:Dai Uzumaki!' SPLOOOSH Kushina thought as she broke away. She then spun around spewing water out of her mouth as she did forming a giant churning column of water around her.
"Nice defense Kushina!" Mikoto called out to her friend
"Go Kaa-chan!"
SHOOOM SHOOOM SHOOOM suddenly a stream of water bullets emerged from the water column and headed straight for Shen. The monk bent his entire body at his knees so his body was parallel to the ground milliseconds before the bullets passed over his head.
SPLOOOSH The giant whirlpool collapsed as Shen looked up with a slight grin. Kushina was still spinning around this time she was slowing down as she brought around a water encased sword "Uzuryu: Araumigiri!"
Shen leaped back and swung his blades around, like he was dancing, soon they became encased in water. "Uzuryu: Twin Kawa Kiba Hō!" Shen launched two large streams of water, each taking a wolf like head on the end. They began to spiral around each other as they raced towards Kushina's water slash, colliding with an enormous explosion of water BOOOM-SPLOOOSH.
The young monk charged again and began to spin before getting too close to Kushina "Twin Uzuryū Issen!" He shouted as he stopped spinning behind Kushina.
'What just happened?'Kushina wondered. Suddenly Kushina felt her sleeves suddenly turn to shreds. 'What?'
"Do you yield?" Shen asked as his two Dao Swords vanished into thin air.
"Not a Chance!" Kushina yelled as she flashed through Hand signs. She placed her hands on the ground and BOOOOM an armada of Chakra Chains shot out of the ground and headed for Shen. The young half Uzumaki leaped into the air only for the chains to shoot up after him.
"Homing chains? Well in that case…" Shen fired off a multitude of Kunai and Shuriken out of thin air. Each Kunai and Shuriken pinned a chain into the ground
"Suiton: Kōatsu Suidan no Jutsu!" Kushina fired off water bullets from her mouth like a machinegun. Shen responded by torqueing his body around each water bullet, avoiding them all effortlessly. "Suiton: Suiryūdan no Jutsu!" Kushina yelled as she fired a large current of water, in the shape of a dragon, at Shen, who was still suspended in midair.
"RAAAAAWWWWRRR!" The water dragon roared as it closed in on Shen. He spun rapidly to his right, completely avoiding the water dragon.
As he spun around Shen put his hands in their 'Shuriken' Position. Two fūma shuriken appeared around his hands. "Fūma Shuriken!" He grabbed them and threw them at Kushina. KLANG-KLANG Kushina knocked them both to the sides with her sword. Shen tugged on two wires tied to the shuriken, pulling himself towards Kushina.
Kushina stepped back avoiding the impact that slightly cratered the ground. Shen landed on his left leg and spun around THWAK and delivered a powerful kick to Kushina, right in the stomach, making the red haired beauty stagger back.
"Huff…huff…" Kushina panted.
"Oh come on Kushina, tell me you aren't done yet." Shen said with a smile as he began to charge her once again, reforming his swords once more. KLANG KLANG KLANG he once again attacked with a flurry of sword movements, forcing a tired Kushina onto the defensive once more. Their movements were so quick that they were literally making sparks fly each time their swords connected.
"Haaa…haaa…I'm not…" Kushina panted. She reached into her weapons pouch and pulled out several Kunai and Shuriken, throwing them by the hand full the red haired kunoichi had unleashed a large barrage at Shen, who countered by manifesting an equally large amount and launched them back at her, intercepted each and every kunai and shuriken.
"Kōton: Tetsu Jin'un no Jutsu!" Shen yelled as he expelled a large gray cloud from his mouth creating a makeshift smoke screen. As Shen vanished from her sigh, Kushina quickly began to look around trying to find him, when suddenly she felt a sword crossed over her throat and a Kunai at the back of her head. "How about now?"

"I…I yield…" Kushina said having no way out. Her entire body was covered in sweat and dirt as she looked up at Shen. The Assistant to the Master hadn't even broken a sweat yet here she was, tired, sweaty, and filthy.
"Alright the test is over…" Shen said as Kushina went over to Mikoto and Natsumi
"Kaa-chan are you OK?"
"I'm fine…Natsumi…"
"Ok based upon the results of your tests I must say…We've got a loooooooooong way to go" Shen said much the girls' disappointment "Follow me."
"Ugh…" Mikoto whined, all three of them were dog tired and Shen wanted them to START their new training right now.
Shen led them to a remote part of the part of the temple was divided into five parts. To the northern wall was a pond with a three meter tall waterfall flowing into it, Dead center was a statue of a Black Tortoise. Off of the eastern wall were several two meter thick trees, the tree in the center was carved into the shape of an eastern Dragon and painted blue. A bed of hot coals with a burning bowl in the center, the bowl was in the shape of a Red Bird was against the Southern wall. Lastly there was a bed of sharp metal spikes off the Western wall, once again in the center was a statue of a white tiger. In the center of it all was a large zen garden. In the center of the garden was a large golden statue of a Snake-Dragon creature.
"OK…Here is where you'll start your training." Shen said "Now what do you know about Chakra? Natsumi…"
"Chakra is the energy found throughout all living things. It is formed through the combination of Spiritual Energy and Physical Energy." Natsumi recited. Her parents had made her memorize what chakra is and how it was formed.
"Excellent now what do you know about the Elements?"
"There are five main elements; Fire, Wind Lightning, Earth and Water." Kushina smiled at her daughter's intelligence
"Wrong!" Shen said stunning everyone
"Wrong?" The three girls asked
"Those are the five elements!" Natsumi stated back
"Nope, Wind and Lightning are not part of the original group." Shen said folding his arms behind his back "Originally the elements were known as follows; Fire, Metal, Wood, Earth Water and Spirit."
"Now I'm confused…" Mikoto said holding her hands up "Sure Wood Release is formed through the usage of both Earth and Water but it isn't its own element! Neither is Metal, I have never even heard of Steel Release until today."
"Now a days they aren't classified as part of the Elements, often because to the victor goes the spoils and the knowledge, which in this case were not the Metal and Wood Styles.
"But you also mentioned Spirit. What kind of Jutsu is that?" Kushina asked
"Spirit is what you all will be learning, however the way to obtain it is very difficult." Shen replied. "Once achieved, you'll be able to use your chakra more efficiently." He received three confused looks "OK say Kushina makes 100 shadow clones now. And the amount of Chakra she uses is measured as 100 chakra units per clone. This means she uses 10,000 units of chakra to make 100 Shadow clones. When I say efficiency I mean that she'll no longer need 100 units of Chakra per clone. Instead it would require somewhere from 1/5 to 1/10 the normal amount of Chakra. Meaning after spiritual training she could make 100 clones for one tenth the cost."
"Could you explain that in terms we can all understand?" Natsumi said
"Think about it." Shen said "Chakra is the combination of both Spiritual and Physical energy within the body, right?"
"Yes" Natsumi said
"And one could increase their chakra reserves quickly through physical training, correct?"
"Yes" the heiress responded
"Well if physical training increases the size of the reserves, Spiritual training increases the efficiency of the reserves. Thus you'll use less chakra, waste less chakra and even recover chakra faster."
"I kind of get it now" Kushina said "in a sense it's like we're fooling out bodies into believing that we don't need as much chakra as we really do."
"Kind of sort of…" Shen said "The simplest way I can explain it is you're buying something on a discount."
"Oh OK!" all three girl said completely understanding the concept.
"Riiiiight…" Shen said rolling his eyes "Now the first step of this training will be to determine your personal element." He said pointing at golden snake-dragon in the middle of the court yard.
"Why?" Mikoto asked "we already know our elements; I have an affinity for Fire and Water, Kushina has the same affinities and…Natsumi have you found out your affinity yet?"
"No not yet" Natsumi said
"Well in that case you're up first" Shen said directing her to the statue. And so Natsumi walked up to the statue. "Go on ahead, place your hands on its head."
Natsumi placed her hands on the statue's head and channeled her chakra. Almost immediately the eyes of the snake-dragon turned deep black. "The eyes turned black…what does that mean?"
"It mean's your element is water. Not surprising really." Shen said "Usually the elements pass from child to parent so this probably means Kushina also has the water element, but just in case…" he gestured from the red haired kunoichi to the statue.
Kushina walked up to the statue and placed her hands on it, before channeling her chakra into it. As Shen said the eyes turned black but after a while they turned red and then blue.
"OK So Kushina's elements are Water, Fire as her affinity and secondary respectively. Now Mikoto…"
The raven haird Uchiha woman placed her hands onto the statue. The snake-dragon's eyes turned red and then white.
"So your elements are Fire and Metal, excellent." Shen said "Now that you've all learned your elements we can begin with the first stage of your training."
"Bring it on!" Natsumi said
"OK, your first task is to meditate. It is that simple" Shen said "The objective will be to find inner peace within yourself and with your element. Kushina, Natsumi, you must sit under the waterfall while Mikoto must sit on the coals. I should warn you too much turmoil and the elements will react accordingly. Such as you being burned, frozen, drowned, strangled, buried alive or impaled."
"ARE YOU SERIOUS!?"
Over on Amazon Lily the Straw Hat Pirates were just getting ready to leave the Island.
"Luffy-sama, are you sure you guys want to leave?" Hancock asked, clearly upset.
"Yep I'm sure! If we don't leave now we'll miss out on the next big adventure!" Luffy cried back
"But I thought you and Nami were going to get married here?"
"Nah, we decided it would be best to wait." Luffy said while turning his attention to his navigator who was talking happily with Marguerite, Marigold and Sandersonia, Sweet Pea and Aphelandra. "Sometimes things are better if you wait."
"GOOD BYE BEAUTIFUL LADIES!" Sanji called out "I WILL NEVER FORGET ANY OF YOU!"
"What about your girlfriends from THAT place?" Zoro asked causing a sever shudder to run down Sanji's entire body.
"BURN IN HELL MARIMO!" he yelled as he accusingly pointed a finger at the green haired swordsman.
"YOHOHOHOHOHO!" Brook laughed as he, surrounded by a group of women approached the ship "This has been a fantastic day!"
"WE LOVE YOU SOUL KING-SAMA!"
"I shall sing a song to remember this day by." Brook said pulling out his guitar. He sat down in the middle of the crowd "Ahmn…Might you show me your panties?" He asked. THWAK almost every girl in the crowd proceeded to kick him high into the air, before he landed on the ship with a thud.
"Yo Bones you OK?" Franky asked
"I'm fine Franky-san. I'm just a little upset I didn't get to see any of their panties."
"TANUKI-KUN PLEASE DON'T GO!" several little girls yelled as the little reindeer escaped from them.
"OI I'm a reindeer not a Tanuki!" Chopper yelled back as he jumped up onto the boat. He hid behind Kurama who was slunk over the railing looking very depressed. "Hey Kurama what's the matter?"
"It's just that…I'm gonna miss this place so much!"
"You're just as bad as Sanji and Brook…" Chopper said "I should really find something that can cure stupidity…"
"What did you say?" Kurama demanded "It sounded like you said 'I want you to eat me Kurama!'"
"AHHHHH!" Chopper screamed in terror as he ran and hid behind Robin, with his usual reverse peeking, who chuckled at their antics.
"Well I guess we're leaving…" Naruto said as he and Erza arrived at the Ship. "I gotta go otherwise I'll miss my ride. Bye Erza, I'll see you around!" Naruto called out to the red haired girl. He was really excited to have made a new friend as awesome as Erza.
"See ya Naruto!" She called back waving. 'Wow Naruto's so nice. Makes me wish I was engaged to him rather than that Dork-kage's spoiled son…'
"BYE! SEE YOU GUYS LATER!" Luffy yelled out to the Kuja as the Thousand Sunny departed.
"OK captain where are we off to now?" Nami asked her fiancé, when they were going to get married no one knew, but for now she was happy that it was going to happen.
"LET'S GO BACK TO THE NEW WORLD!" Luffy declared pumping his fists into the air.
"AYE AYE CAPTAIN!" The guys yelled back
"You made a good friend didn't you Erza" Hancock said as the Straw Hat's ship disappeared from sight.
"I sure did mom." Erza replied. The young red haired girl looked up to her mother, there were small traces of tears in her eyes. "You still have feelings for Luffy-san, don't you mother?"
"Yes I do…" She said as she wiped her eye "When you get older, you'll understand why its not easy to just let go of feelings you've had for years."
"Look on the bright side mom, you still have me." Erza said
"That's true…" Hancock said as she crouched down to her daughter's eye level. "And I wouldn't trade you for anything in the world."
POOOF suddenly a large puff of smoke appeared in front of the Kuja. Immediately warriors surrounded the smoke cloud, arrows pointed at the smoke as it cleared.
There before the women stood the toad sage; Jiraiya, sitting crossed legged atop a large red-orange Toad.
"What do you want?" Hancock demanded. Her face was a contortions of rage and annoyance. "And make it quick, you have ten seconds."
"I have several important matters to discus with Nyan-sama…" the perverted sage said "With regards to…to…" gravity seemingly pulling his gaze to Hancock's mostly exposed chest.
"I am up here you perverted bastard." Hancock growled as she pinched his face forcing his gaze back up.
"Hancock that's enough this man is our guest." Nyan said stepping through the crowd "Though while he is here, he will not be allowed anywhere inside the city. Unless of course he's OK with being executed?"
"I'm sure I can manage being away from civilization for some time…" Jiraiya chuckled nervously 'damn. I can't go research at the bath houses. Hancock-san is definitely capable of killing even me, and not just because she's too beautiful to hurt.'
And so Nyan and Jiraiya stayed behind while the Kuja pirates and the "What I need to talk with you about is the arrangements we made concerning your princess and my student's son."
"You need not say anything" Nyan said "I already know the whole story."
"You do…?" Jiraiya asked skeptically
"Yes, your Hokage sent Naruto to the Straw Hat Pirates so that he would be strong enough to fight Erza."
"Yes, he was just here, not three hours ago." Nyan added
"WHAT!?" Jiraiya bellowed
Meanwhile at Mount Myōboku Fukasaku led Minato to a fountain filled with some kind of oil. The fountain was surrounded by numerous statues of toads, all of varying sizes
"Alright Minato-boy, this is where your training begins" the toad said.
"Alright Fukasaku –sama what do I have to do first?" the blond Hokage asked
"First I should explain what the difference between Senjutsu and regular Jutsu are…"
"That's OK, Jiraiya-sensei explained it to me once." Minato said
"Oh he did, did he?" the frog…excuse me toad, said skeptically "then do tell what the difference is."
"Regular ninjutsu uses the body's natural chakra, which is the fusion of physical and spiritual energy. Senjutsu uses a new stronger chakra through the fusion of our chakra with that of Nature."
"That's right" The old toad said "With Senjutsu your Jutsus and physical attacks with increase drastically in power. Like this…" Fukasaku hopped over to a toad statue and lifted it up with one hand.
"Wow…" Minato said "I know you did something there…did you form a seal or something?" he asked as the statue was placed back onto the ground.
"Well since you can't sense natural energy yet you obviously cannot feel it…"
"How do I do it?" Minato asked
"You have to die…" Fukasaku said with a dead serious expression.
"What?" Minato said back confused.
