A/N: There are three good things that come of this chapter. 1) is my beta's computer is up and running again so it will now be properly edited 2) well here's another chapter of our two favorite women and 3) well you have to wait and see.

"You ready?" Casey asked when Olivia opened the door.

Olivia nodded as she struggled to get into her jacket as she walked out the door. She smiled at Casey when she helped her finish putting her coat on and took the keys from her and locked the door.

"When Alex is finished with Trevor, she will meet us at the doctor's office," Casey stated once they were in the car and she was pulling out in traffic, "That is assuming she isn't being booked in for murder."

"I bet she was fuming," Olivia chuckled. She could almost imagine the tirade that Alex went into when she was ordered to the judge's chamber for last minute motions instead of being able to come and pick her up for their OBGYN appointment. Alex had made it a point to always rearrange her schedule and, up until today, had never missed an appointment, no matter how minor it was.

"I'm not sure fuming would be the proper definition of it," Casey answered as she pulled up to a red light, "I'm pretty sure I heard her all the way over at the 16 before she ever phoned me. Hell, before I even made it to the car, the rumor mill was that she told Trevor when she was finished with him he would never be having sex again and told Donnelly if she missed this appointment her notice would be on her desk by morning."

"The sad part is that I believe it," Olivia stated shaking her head as the light turned green and Casey started to go, "She is so sure…."

"Hold on," Casey screamed as she gripped the wheel tighter and jerked the car to the right to avoid a car that was coming over in their lane. Just as she started to correct the car and enter back into her lane another car plowed into the passenger side pushing the car to skid into oncoming traffic. The last thing Casey remembered hearing before everything went black was Alex reminding her to be careful, Olivia meant the world to her.

"Casey, Casey, Casey!" Olivia screamed as she tried to reach the red head, but discovered that her left arm was pinned between her and the console of the car. She was trying her best not to panic as she saw the blood gush out of the gash on Casey's head and down her face.

"Ma'am, Ma'am," A voice said from her right, "Try to remain still. I am an off duty fireman and I have called assistance. Can you tell me your name?"

"Olivia..."

"Olivia, I need you to remain as calm as you can. Can you tell me your friend's name?"

"Detective Casey Novak with the 16," She answered remembering how quickly everyone responded the one time that Dickie had gotten hurt and they were told it was an officer's son.

"NYPD?"

"Yes, and can you call my wife? She is ADA Cabot," Olivia cried out as a stabbing pain hit her abdomen, "I'm eights month pregnant."

"I will, and I'm John," the man said as he grabbed his radio and shouted several codes into it before turning his attention back to Olivia.

Olivia couldn't help but cry when she heard the name John. That was what the name of the child she was carrying. The one they had worked so hard to conceive. The one that she was terrified she was going to lose.

"'livia," Casey mumbled as she started to come too.

"Shh," Olivia whispered, "We were hit."

"The baby?" Casey asked as she sat up and then screamed in pain.

"Just relax," John answered as he tried to maneuver himself through the car to check Casey.

"Don't move! NYPD!" Casey cried as she fought against the pain and nausea to grab her gun. She maybe in a lot of pain, but she be damned if she was going to allow someone else to hurt Olivia. She was already going to have to face Alex's wrath over the accident.

"FDNY," he answered holding his badge and ID up in front of Casey so she could see it.

Casey relaxed seeing it was a firefighter. There may be an ongoing pissing contest between cops and firemen about who was better and there were some unspoken rules between the two, but when it came down to it they were a family.

"I need to check you two over the best I can, is that ok?"

"Check her, she's pregnant," Casey mumbled fighting to stay awake as she heard sirens in the distance.

"What do we have, John?" A man asked as he leaned down and looked into the crumpled car. Upon first glance at the car, you wouldn't think there would be any survivors. A large F250 Dooley had plowed in the passenger side causing the car to crumple and get pushed into oncoming traffic where it was hit head on by a taxi that was apparently going way faster than it should have.

"Two females, driver has a laceration to the right side of her head and was unconscious upon arrival. She gained consciousness for a few minutes before she went out again. She is pinned in by the steering wheel. The passenger is a female who is eight months pregnant. Her left arm is pinned and the dash board is against her abdomen. She is experiencing extreme pain in her lower quadrant and I can see…" John stopped talking for a moment trying to find a way to say what he needed to say without terrifying the young woman, but he knew there was no way, "There is a large amount of visible blood in her lower region"

"No, No, No!" Olivia cried, "Please no!"

"Ma'am, please try to remain calm," John stated as he squeezed her shoulder in a reassuring manner as his captain motioned him out of the car, "Let me find out what my captain needs and I will be right back, I promise."

Olivia barely nodded as she leaned her head back and closed her eyes. The pain in her lower abdomen was becoming unbearable and she could feel fluid dripping down her legs. She knew something was wrong and only one of them would make it out alive; she just prayed that god would let it be her son.

This is the part where I beg for mercy and remind you that you love me just a little.
