Serenity looked up and froze seeing Ryo walk in. Her expression was one of depression and she ignored the people who tried talking to her. Ryo halfway collapsed into her seat. Serenity quickly moved over to her side. "Ryo?"
Ryo didn't even look up. "It's Ryoko… not Ryo."
Serenity blinked. "Ryo…Ryoko what happened? Does this have anything to do with your Grandfather?"
Ryo flinched. "Serenity… Please don't ask right now… I'll explain later." She whispered.
Serenity stared at her confused. "You'll answer later?"
Ryo nodded. "I'll come by the club room." Her voice sounded so silent and weak that it worried Serenity. "You should sit down, class will begin soon."
Serenity frowned, but she did sit down. All during class she watched Ryo. Not once did she smile or even look up towards anyone else. When she answered any questions her voice sounded flat and emotionless.
When class ended Ryo got up and walked out. Serenity ran after her. "Hey!" She ran up next to Ryo. "Are you going to the club room now?"
"Yes." Ryo nodded. "I'll be there in a minute. Go ahead of me…. I need to go talk to Rio-Niisan."
"..Alright. I'll let everyone know you're on your way." Serenity rushed off to go tell the others. She glanced back and saw Ryo just standing there weakly. What happened to her?
Kyouya looked at his book as he walked towards the club meeting. He was still slightly thinking about Ryo. He had run into Rio earlier and noticed Rio was acting strange. He looked down and Rio had told Kyouya to stay as far from Ryoko as possible. Rio had then stormed off grumbling to himself that he hated how weak his words were. It confused Kyouya.
Kyouya looked up from his book and spotted Ryo walking forward. She was looking at the ground as she walked, and she looked worse than Rio. "Ryoko." He said looking at her.
She looked up and her face froze. "K…Kyouya-Senpai…."
"Are you heading to the club now?" Kyouya asked calmly.
Ryo nodded, but looked down. "I have something I have to tell everyone." She looked up at him. "Kyouya-Senpai… Can I ask you a question?"
Kyouya nodded calmly. "What did you want to know?"
"….Never mind." Ryo said shifting. "I'll see you at the club… I have to go talk to Rio-Niisan first." She walked past him quickly. Kyouya stared after her. Kyouya tried, but he knew that he deep down had feelings for her. Seeing her like that hurt him, but he couldn't do anything about it. He couldn't even admit his feelings for her. Kyouya headed towards the club room, wondering what she was going to say.
He arrived at the club room and found everyone talking. "She sure seemed down during class." Hikaru nodded.
"I wonder if her Grandfather decided to move in with her family." Kaoru blinked. "That would make sense."
"She said she would explain when she came." Kyouya said sitting down in his seat. "But we have to wait till then."
"You ran into her on the way here?" Honey asked swinging his leg as he sat eating cake with Tsukiko.
"Yes. She went to talk to her brother first."
"Oh! I bet Yukki knows!" Tamaki jumped up. "After all she's dating Rio-Senpai isn't she?!"
"Yeah." Luc nodded. "I bet that she knows everything."
"Rio was silent during class." Mori nodded.
"So was Yukki." Kyouya nodded. "They both know and neither of them are going to tell us…. Because it is Ryo's story to tell, not theirs."
"I guess so." They all nodded.
The door suddenly opened and Ryo walked in silently. "Hi Ryo-Chan!" Honey waved.
She looked down. "Hello… I…. There's something I need to tell you." She shifted. "My Grandfather and Rio-Niisan's Grandmother have decided the future heads."
Tsukiko looked up. "So what's the decision?"
"Rio-Niisan has been decided to take over for his mother's family…. And so I'm going to be the next head of my father's family." She looked down.
"Congrats." Luc smiled, but blinked noticing Ryo's unhappy look.
"Did you not want to be the next head of your family?" Kyouya asked looking at her. "Shouldn't you be happy to be the next head of the family?"
Ryo looked down. "No…. I… That doesn't matter right now." She sighed. "My grandfather has decided that I need to start learning about the family business and the best place to learn that is with him… So I am moving."
"What?!" Serenity jumped up. "You're moving?"
Ryo nodded. "So I've come to say goodbye… It was nice meeting you all and I hope you all live a nice life." She turned and walked out.
"Wait!" Tamaki gasped rushing towards her and grabbed her arm. "If you aren't happy then shouldn't you be happier and make your own decisions!"
"I will be fine." Ryo forced herself to smile and Kyouya flinched. Seeing her like that made him upset. "I'm going to live with my Grandfather starting tomorrow. Take care everyone."
"Ryo?" Serenity blinked.
Kyouya ignored the conversation that followed. You are leaving Ryoko? But that is not the only problem that is going on in your head…. There is something you didn't mention."
A moment later Yukki walked in. "So Ryoko told you all?"
"Yeah." Luc nodded. "It's so sad…. But at least we'll still be able to call her and talk to her."
"She only told you about the moving part?" Yukki blinked.
"What do you mean by that?" Kyouya looked up. "What else do you know?"
"Rio-Kun told me…" Yukki sighed. "His Grandfather has decided that Ryo isn't suitable completely to take over the family business by herself… So he has arranged a marriage with another family's son. I don't know who he is yet, but I do know that Ryoko is going to marry him when she finishes school."
Ryo is going to marry another man?! Kyouya froze and looked at Yukki shocked. He felt strongly jealous. "Rio-Senpai told you this?"
Yukki nodded. "Rio-Kun's Grandfather told her at dinner last night. Rio-Kun said that Ryo didn't argue. And when Ryo's mother and Rio-Kun tried to argue with him, Ryo said she would and didn't argue at all. She made the decision to follow her Grandfather's order."
"Why would she?" Luc asked sadly.
"Because she wanted to follow her Grandfather." Kyouya and Serenity said at the same time.
"She choose her path. There is nothing we can do about it." Kyouya said looking back at his book. Ryo…. You are getting married to another… I should discard my feelings then. He tried his best, but he found it harder than he thought. I will marry for the good of my family as well; Ryo's and my fate are similar. He looked off thinking about his future… and Ryo's.
