Days of Future Resurrection 34-The Crusader

"Upon finding the memoirs of Madara Uchiha and Jiraiya the Sage, I decided to learn from what was written. Both men played a big part in Shinobi History and both knew that the world was in an awful state. One man decided to initiate a plan to put everyone in a permanent Genjutsu. His power had corrupted his mind and he believed he had found a hidden message in the long lost Uchiha Tablet at the infamous Naka Shrine. The Shrine has been searched for ever since by countless shinobi, Uchiha and others alike. But everyone that has searched for it has never found it. Because of this, this Shrine is considered to be simply part of a fairy tale that adults tell their children. A tale of an epic battle long ago between good and evil. It was a battle that was going to put an end to the fighting of the Great Nations. It is a very likeable story. But as long as there are humans, there will always be jealousy and hatred.

Jiraiya on the other hand, was a shinobi who fought to change the world for the better. He taught passion, forgiveness, love, and what evil really is. Jiraiya the Toad Sage from Mount Myoboku was sensei to Namikaze, Minato, the Fourth Hokage, and Uzumaki, Nagato, the man that would control Pain. Pain wanted to create peace by creating weapons of mass destruction using the tailed beasts. A forced life underneath a blanket of fear every day for the rest of life doesn't sound like peace to anyone I know.

I was born with a curse. Everywhere I look, if somebody died there, I see through their eyes the final moments before their death. That wouldn't sound like such a bad thing but the only problem is, in the 14,000 years of human history, someone has died on every piece of goddammed ground that my feet touches. It is truly a horror, seeing through the eyes of someone else, what they saw in their final moments. And that's just in 14,000 years of recorded human history. I'm here at the Chunin Exams so that I may find a cure for this disease. I sense that this place will be able to help me find the way to a cure. -C" The man put down his journal rereading the passage.

He put his journal in his breast pocket, and moved on from the humid jungle. He wanted to die. Seeing, feeling the deaths of the past had put a toll on him. Experiencing the ancestors of men kill each other for land or gain had molded a cold, black, heart. He had felt Madara Uchiha die of old age, and by Black Zetsu. He called himself the Crusader, knowing that his anger and hatred was leading him down a dark path. Compassion for humanity used to flow through his veins, but the sands of time had long ago turned his blood black with rage. Although he was told by the head proctor, he would be kicked out of the Exams for killing, he knew the proctor was already dead. When walking through an almost dead biome of ash, he saw the last bit of life of the proctor. He saw him, felt him incapable of walking and unable to anything do anything.

The Crusader swore to kill the people who did that. "The proctor was a man I couldn't be." To make anyone incapable of fighting and then putting them down like a sick dog was unforgivable. "This is the tower." The Crusader thought. His cape with a red square on the back whipped in the wind. His chainmail rustled underneath his iron armor. He was clad in iron, two swords dangling off of his belt. The only part of him not covered in armor was his blonde hair which glistened in the little sunlight that made it through the clouds. He had dark blue, almost soulless, eyes that looked hypnotic. He had a beard that was well kept and short. The Crusader stood at the bottom of the tower and looked up. The tower was bright red and stood like a lighthouse, visible from the shores of the outer ring that made up the archipelago biome. He opened the door, and saw a small booth.

The booth was two meters tall and was also painted red. To the right of the booth, an iron barred door stood with a red light above it. At the booth, a man and a woman stood and greeted him. He walked towards the booth.

"Will you please present your scrolls?" the man asked.

"We need to verify these scrolls, is all." the woman smiled and closed her eyes. The iron clad man handed his scrolls to the woman. The woman generously took the scrolls and looked them over excitedly. She waved a black light over the scrolls and scanned for something.

"Thank you! Take that door to your right." the woman smiled again. The man pressed a button under his desk and a loud buzzer indicated to the Crusader that the door was open. He opened the door, and closed it behind him. He walked down the halls and saw many rooms but they were not soundproof, unfortunately.

"Maria! That's enough…." a voice echoed.

"You three boys need to focus. Are you listening, Akihi…" another voice echoed.

"DON'T TOUCH ME THERE YOU JERK!"

"I'm sorry, Rei."

"Stop, Keito! Damn it! STOP!" another set of voices echoed followed by a loud thud.

"Keito and Rei, please stop!" Saruame demanded.

"I'm sorry sensei, but Rei is very sore and needs a gentle massage." Keito exclaimed.

"SO STOP GRABBING MY BUTT!" Rei screamed.

"Rei, please stop yelling at me. I'm trying my hardest to massage you." Keito said.

"That's fine, but grabbing my butt is not going to help me!" Rei retorted.

"Why I would never take advantage of a young lady like yourself!" Keito proudly announced. "Why is your nose bleeding, Satomi?" Keito smiled at Satomi.

"No reason at all." Satomi gasped.

"YOU PERVERT!" Rei screamed.

"If you all don't shut up, I will start whopping everyone's ass in here!" Akane yelled. Akane's eye were twitching.

"Akane sensei, Rei has had enough of her butt being fondled." Keito quietly said. Saruame and Gamatatsu held back Akane as she tried to strike Keito upside the head.

"Everyone settle down! Listen, all three of you!" Saruame yelled. "The exams have become very dangerous. The proctor Id was booted from the Exams for trying to defy the Animal Kingdom. He is still respected but he is seen as trying to be a rebel. You can be killed in these exams." Saruame explained.

"The doors close in an hour for the people that can still make it to the Tower, so far there are 24 entrees that made it out of hundreds. Take extreme caution." Gamatatsu explained.

"During the exams, there was a massive chakra surge that everyone could feel." Satomi said from the corner of the room.

"None of you are even sensory type ninja though?" Saruame looked confused.

"That's what we thought. But we ran to the epicenter of the surge and rescued my cousins from certain death." Keito said. "They all felt it?" Akane thought.

"And not just us, when we say everyone. We meant that everyone in the dome could feel it.

"These rooms don't allow a person outside to sense your chakra. Maybe that's why our little red friend hasn't noticed us yet. She is such a turn off. But killing her will make it all better. I'm talking about you, Akane." Grrimm said as she looked out the peeping hole of her door.
