I'm so sorry about how long it took for me to update this story! but I'm back now and I will try my best to update it again before Sunday. God, when I started writing this chapter, I hadn't noticed how much I actually missed this story and I have so many plans for it. I hope I haven't lost too many readers and that you're still out there...

Third person p.o.v
Flashback a thousand years ago.
Someone was running through the woods laughing.
"You cannot catch me Elijah!"
"You're getting faster Niklaus but you're not fast enough," the young Elijah said to his little brother. Elijah could hear him laugh but when he got to the center of the woods,, his little brother was gone. He called for his brother but came up empty.
"There you are." The young Elijah heard from behind him. He turned around and saw himself as a grownup. The older Elijah stalked towards the younger version of himself.
"Don't you understand… one day only the monster shall remain?" The older Elijah said as his vampire features approached. Without second thought, the younger Elijah stabbed him with his axe.
Amy's p.o.v
Nik were standing over Elijah's sleeping body. I knew he wanted to be alone so I stayed away for a little, to give them some space.
"I know you're locked in battle, however deep in your mind our mother has set the stage. Hear my voice, our mother think she will win because she has left you alone but you are not alone." Nik tried everything to wake up his brother.
"Let me in." I heard Nik say and I could feel the magic floating through the room. I felt uneasy and stepped forward to see what was going on. I walked in just as Nik jumped back from Elijah and straight into Hayley and myself. My sister had shown up earlier, too tired of Jackson's drinking.
"What are you doing?" I asked carefully as I wiped away blood from under his nose.
"I'm trying to enter Elijah's thoughts to wake him." Said Nik with a sad look on his face. "Esther has locked me out." I knew this was hard for him and Kol but then I noticed something on Elijah's neck. It was some kind of mark. I revealed it.
"Is this mark some weird side effect of the witchy acid – trip he's on?" I asked and I could see Nik's expression about it. He had seen it before.
"I haven't seen this mark since I was a child." Said Nik with a shrug. "Mikael would return home from battle he would be more blindly temperamental than usual and mother would use petals of a rare orchid to put him to sleep. She would mend his mind with a spell and then wake him with the roots of the same plant." Said Nik before turning to me. "If she has access to it now, then maybe it also grows in the Bayou. You stay here with your wolves and hold the fort." Nik started to walk out but I made him stop.
"No! There's no way in hell you're leaving without me." I said stubbornly. "You and I both know that if we're apart, something bad is going to happen. We've proven that a few times now." Nik looked at me with conflict.
"I know sweetheart but someone has to stay here with Elijah." Nik started to say.
"Kol and I can stay here with him." Said Hayley suddenly. "Can't we Kol?" With that, Kol came into view with a little grin on his face.
"Of course. You know as well as I do Nik, you and Amy can't be apart for long… something bad is bound to happen." Kol said with certainty.
"Yes and if I get the chance, I will gladly rip your mother's head off." Stated Hayley.
"Stay clear of her. I mean it Hayley. She already got to Amy once." Said Nik to my sister as a warning.
"Hey, I never considered her offer." I argued back.
"I know you didn't sweetheart." Said Nik and kissed my forehead. "Fine you came come with me but if I see any sign of danger, you're going back home."
"Fine, I will." I said and smiled a little before turning to Kol. "Please call me if anything happens."
"Of course I will darling." Kol said with a smug smile. Nik took my hand and we left my sister and his brother to take care of Elijah.
Third Person p.o.v
Hayley made sure that Elijah was somewhat comfortable and made sure Kol stayed with his brother.
"Where are you going sweetheart?" Asked Kol as he crossed his arms.
"I'm going to talk to Jackson. He needs to get his head out of his ass and start doing something." Answered Hayley. "Do you think you could stay with Elijah for a while and just wait for my call?"
"Well, what else can I do? Amy and Nik a long gone and I'm stuck here anyway." Said Kol with a sour look.
"Great! I'll call you later!" Said Hayley before Kol behind. She had to go and talk some sense into Jackson; she felt she was losing him more day by day.
Hayley reached the cabin at the Bayou where she found her boyfriend sitting by the docs paying his respect towards Oliver, drinking already. Hayley sighed and walked up to him, she looked out on the water where you could still see the burning corpse and Hayley suddenly felt sad.
"I'm so sorry Jack." Said Hayley with tears in her eyes. Jackson stood up suddenly and turned towards her.
"This is bull, Hayley. Crescent tradition says you have a funeral at dawn and no one is here." Said Jackson angrily. "That loyalty, that loyalty is gone."
"I know you're grieving but you're moping around Oliver's body when there's a war to be fought. I know you feel sorrow Jack and you waited for me, so I'm going to the same for you. But out people need their alpha and I need the man I love back." Said Hayley as she took the bottle away from him and walked away. She couldn't do more for him at this point; Jackson needed to find out what to do by himself.
Hayley called Kol and told him to meet her and Aiden at Marcel's place. He happily said yes and made sure no one could disturb Elijah. Vampires and wolves protected him. Kol had the biggest smile on his face when he saw Aiden and Hayley. They walked inside together and Marcel let out a sigh.
"Where is your alpha?" Asked Marcel and Kol rolled his eyes.
"Unavailable." Answered Hayley with a sigh.
"So you brought junior varsity and the most unstable of the Originals… You know I get a little tired of you using my den for your wolves." Said Marcel not really caring.
"Oh, it's just that we are going to take down Finn Mikaelson today and considering how he treated your vampires, I assume you would want in on the blood bath." Said Hayley and Marcel suddenly got interested.
"I'm listening." Said Marcel with a grin.
"Well, it's not going to be easy, he's surrounded by a pack of juiced up wolves. He doesn't have a weakness." Said Aiden but then Kol started to laugh.
"How dumb are you? Of course he has a weakness. Said Kol with a smirk. "And her name is Camille O'Connell."
"That's true and I have her on speed dial." Answered Marcel and took his phone out.
"Klaus would go ballistic if we got Cami involved with this." Said Hayley without thinking, she hadn't told anyone about Cami's feelings towards Klaus and she figured that if Klaus hadn't told Amy about it, he might feel something about her.
"Well, Klaus isn't here is he?" Asked Marcel as he looked around. "And Cami has a thing with people telling her what she can and cannot do."
Marcel dialed her number with a smile on his face. He knew Cami would help the best she could.
Camille was back at Vincent or Finn's office for another therapy session. She was staring out the window again.
"He hasn't called, he thinks he's protecting me but I don't think I want to be protected." Said Cami as she turned around. "Truth be told, I don't think I want to be protected anymore at all."
"Well, that's a nice piece of progress… What's on your mind?" Asked Finn, smiling at the lovely girl before him.
"I was wondering… I know this is horribly unprofessional but I was hoping I could get a new advisor." Said Cami as she looked at him shyly.
"You don't find our sessions productive?" Asked Finn as he leaned back onto his chair.
"No, no that's not it. They've been great, you're really getting to know me. It's just; I want to get to know you too." Said Cami looking at Finn with her baby-blue eyes. Finn suddenly became both happy and uncomfortable.
"Right, mortifying unprofessional. I'm going to go." Said Cami and stood up to leave.
"Camille!" Said Finn as he stood up. "Do you enjoy Jazz?"
In a shady part of New Orleans, Davina was practicing her magic with the help of a broken mirror. Aron came out of the bathroom and he decided to mess with her a little, and messed up her concentration.
"I'm trying to repair the damage you did to my delinking spell." Said Davina and grabbed the white oak stake. "The only reason I'm still shacked up in this shady motel with you it's because of your freaky and psychic brain." Said Davina angrily.
"Ok, so here's a magical secret from the ancient legends of psychics, sleep Davina. You've been awake for days." Said Aron with concern with the young witch.
"Kind of hard to do when you have a thousand year old psycho in the next bed." Answered Davina.
"When you say it like that, you make me sound like a creeper." Said Aron as he raise an eyebrow.
"Can you stop that?"
"Stop what darling?"
"Calling me darling and trying to be funny and…" Davina stared at Aaron's shirtless body. "Looking like that."
"Oh well, most girls like that but then, you're not like most girls are you?"
"What I's like is for you to just stop messing around." Said Davina in defeat.
"Ok Davina, all right. I have been trying to charm you and your resistance is impressive but there are things that we can do. Big things." Said Aron honestly. "I can't share my secrets with you unless we trust each other."
"I don't care about your stupid secrets Kaleb, Aron… I don't even know what to call you."
"Aron Mikaelson, and if you want to take down Klaus without your friends dying, you'd be a fool not to…." Aron was cut off when he noticed his hand starting to bleed; he knew it was his mother calling him home.
"What's happening?" Asked Davina with concern.
"That's mother dearest, calling me home." Answered Aron in pain…
Esther was concentrating on the spell she sent towards Aron as Finn walked through the door.
"Well, you always knew how to leave a message mother." Said Finn with a smile.
"Well, if only all my sons could be as respectful as you are." Answered Esther with a grin and adoration on her face. "Aron will return home soon, Elijah would wake from his slumber but believing the only way to save his humanity is to rejoin our family. Which is why it's time you bring Camille in."
Esther gave Finn some kind of device.
"Here, subdue her without causing bodily harm."
"I thought we had more time." Stated Finn, as he didn't want to hurt Camille.
"We don't. Once Klaus has been influenced by his father, we would need to act quickly." Answered Esther with certainty.
"No, there's mot need for this." Said Finn and threw the item aside. "I can bring her in without it."
Amy's p.o.v
Nik and I walked through the Bayou. My thoughts were everywhere but with him and it didn't go unnoticed by him. Nik stopped me and looked directly at me.
"What's going on with you?" Asked Nik with concern and I sighed.
"Well, I'm thinking about everything that's happening and everything we have to do but all I can think about is Hope." I answered and I couldn't look at him. "Christmas is just around the corner and I can't help but think that we should be there for her first Christmas. I'm afraid because I fear that when we finally see her again, she has forgotten that I was the one who carried her for nine months. I'm afraid that the connection between us is gone…" Nik looked at me with sad eyes and then he kissed me tenderly.
"Never ever think that the connection we feel with our daughter will ever disappear. She is a part of us and she will always know who we are." Said Nik as he kept his hands firmly around my face and wiped away the tears. "Now, let's find this plant so we can get my brother up and about shall we?" We walked further into the woods and we both could feel someone watching us. Nik motioned for me to stay quiet and then he ran off towards the threat. I could hear him slamming someone against a tree.
"Stop following me." Said Nik and that made me go after him. I arrived in time to see Nik holding Ansel by his neck. "I have no intention of taking Esther's bargain and no desire to be remade a mortal being. No kindly piss off, I'm in a hurry to help my real family." Said Nik firmly before letting him go and grab my hand.
"You seek the murloc orchid." Said Ansel and both Nik and I stopped.
"How do you know that?" Asked Nik.
"I saw you carry Elijah home last night. Who do you think used to find the orchid for your mother to put Mikael asleep?" Asked Ansel. "Without my help, you can search forever." Nik tightened his grip on my hand just to make sure I was there.
"My mother brought you back from the dead. My sense of strategy tells me it wasn't to play a father and son game of hide and seek." Said Nik and the both of us started to walk away from him.
"You both could storm off in a fit of stubbornness if you'd like but I suggest you do so towards the west." Said Ansel with a smug smile and I could tell Nik wanted to follow him, so we did.
We walked through the forest in silence for a while before Ansel decided to speak up…
"A thousand years estranged and you choose to walk in silence." Said Ansel with a sigh. "Clearly you have questions for me." Nik stopped and tried to contain himself.
"Just one… Is there a way to cure Elijah without having to listen to the pointless ramblings of an old man?" Asked Nik.
"I'm afraid the price of my expertise is a conversation." Said Ansel and I had to laugh a little. Nik gave me an evil look and I tried to look away.
"You know I used to tell myself that my real father had no idea I existed, he would never have left me suffer under Mikael…" Said Nik.
"Esther forbad me from seeing you, so I waited, knowing that one day you would trigger your curse and need your real father. When that happened, Mikael found me first!" Said Ansel. "I fought him for you…"
"Yes, your grand declaration is just a few years too late." Said Nik and I knew why he was acting like this towards Ansel. It's hard to trust someone you never really knew.
"You can joke but I know that you've always felt a void in your life. I have watched you from beyond for centuries. You've travelled to all little corners of the world, seeing monuments erected feasted on the blood of history's most extraordinary men but you never found true peace." Said Ansel and I had never seen Nik this speechless. "The only moments of joy in your life, however fleeting, have been simple pleasures. As you climbed the Himalayas, as you attendant to your horses, quiet days when you would teach that boy Shakespeare." Nik didn't like being this vulnerable and I knew it.
"Or watching how you fell in love with Amy." Ansel continued. "I watched you paint, I watched you feel your unborn daughter's kick." I gasped as Nik grabbed a hold of his father.
"I said stop!" Nik gritted through his teeth.
"Nik don't." I said but he didn't listen to me.
"A millennia of observing me or your eyes clothes as I slaughtered whole villages, fed my way through thousands of innocent because let's face it, I have a bad habit of playing with my food." Said Nik and walked closer to Ansel. "Have I made you proud father?" Sometimes it was strange to actually think about the fact that my fiancé had done some much bad in the past. He doesn't seem like that man around me. Nik grabbed my hand and walked away from Ansel. I wanted to say something but I knew that right now, Nik just needed me to be there and not say anything. We walked in silence for a while and we knew Ansel was trailing behind us.
"You know, it wouldn't kill you to get to know him." I said as we walked further into the Bayou.
"I have no intention of getting to know him." Growled Nik not looking at me. He did not just answer me like that.
"Hey! Remember whom you're talking too. You may not want to know him but you do not talk to me like this. I don't deserve it." I said crossing my arms. "You can be an ass to everyone else but not me." I said and walked away from him. Ansel caught up with Nik and I could hear him talk to him.
"I can see why you fell for her in the first place. She has a fire that I've never seen before. She's good for you." Said Ansel with a crooked smile. Nik wanted to say something but stopped and walked after me.
"I'm sorry." Said Nik as he sped in front of me. "You know I don't mean to say things like that."
"I forgive you but I'm getting so tired of this Nik. I swear, sometimes your mood swings are worse than mine when I was pregnant!" I exclaimed but Nik only smiled smugly at me.
"But that's what you love about me. That's what made you fall in love with me in the first place." Said Nik brushing hair out of my face and I know that he was right.
"Fortunately for you, that's true." I said and wrapped my arms around him. "Let's go find this plant shall we?" Nik gave me a quick kiss before letting me go.
"Yes, let's do that." Answered Nik and we followed Ansel, he seemed to know where to go.
Third Person p.o.v
Aiden, Kol, Josh, Hayley and Marcel were still at Marcel's house going over their plan. Aiden took a map and placed it on the table.
"Cami said that Vincent wants to meet at Preservation Hall and he won't be unprotected. The wolves will be at these locations." Said Aiden as he showed them on the map.
"Can we keep this alley open?" Asked Marcel as he pointed on the map. Aiden nodded agreeing.
"All right, I will be there with Kol, ripping Vincent's head off." Stated Hayley but Kol stopped her.
"He would just body-jump darling, not a good plan." Said Kol with a wink and a grin.
"His head stays on. He would have a hard time answer questions without it." Said Cami as she placed a huge box on the table. Josh looked into the box not knowing what it was.
"Great, you brought us a huge box filled with junk, we're saved!" Said Josh sarcastically.
"They are dark objects my uncle left for me, I've been cataloguing them according to Kieran's notes and as far as I can tell, these can be used against witches specifically." Answered Cami as Marcel took some chains out of the box.
"Kinky!" Said Hayley and that made Kol laugh.
"I remember these… Don't you Kol?" Asked Marcel with a smirk.
"I sure do, Marcellus." Said Kol with a snicker.
"A hundred years ago, the human faction waged a war against the voodoo queens. They had a traitor spell these manacle and slapped them on a witch." Started Marcel.
"They can't do magic as long as they're on." Finished Kol.
"Ok but we're not going to get the handcuffs of doom on them when they're surrounded by werewolf entourage." Said Josh with a sarcastic sigh.
"We just lure them away." Said Aiden. "I can do that." Hayley looked over at Cami eying her a little suspiciously.
"Cami if we do this, you're the bait." Said Hayley firmly. "Are you sure you're ok with that?"
"Make it look convincing. The guy's really smart." Answered Cami but it was more to calm herself than anyone else. She had to make it convincing, because of Klaus. He deserved her devotion.
Hayley nodded and announced that she needed some air. She couldn't be in the same room as Cami too long. When she was out of hearing range from the other vampires and wolves, she stopped. Hayley knew Kol was following her.
"Would you care to tell me why you wanted to rip Cami's head off?" Asked Kol with an annoyed look on his face.
"It's complicated…"
"I love complicated! Tell me." Demanded Kol.
"Well, Cami revealed to me that she has strong feelings for Klaus and that Klaus know about them. She told me she wished she was in Amy's place, that she was the one Klaus loved." Said Hayley out of breath. "And Klaus know about her feelings and I don't think Amy knows about them."
"Well, I can tell you this much, she doesn't know." Growled Kol. "But she will soon enough."
Aron came back home rather angry for the pain his mother had put him through.
"Remind me to show you how to send a text mother…" Grumbled Aron as he tried to get rid of the wounds.
"You were told to get the white oak stake days ago." Answered Esther. "We need it now, seeing your father has risen." Aron tried to look stunned.
"Mikael? Back from the dead?" Asked Aron but Esther didn't fall for it.
"Enough! You kept it from me. Why, to protect Davina Clair?" Asked Esther.
"To protect your plan. She's never going to trust me if she thinks that I'm a flying monkey to the wicked witch." Argued Aron. "I have it handled mother." Esther looked at her son for a few seconds before putting out a candle that made the wounds on Aron's arm disappear.
"I want that stake and I don't care what you have to do to get it." Exclaimed Esther before walking away. Aron looked after her but he had no intention to fulfill his mother's request.
Amy's p.o.v
We came to a clearing just as the sun started to disappear and that's when we saw the plant we were looking for. I walked forward but shot back hissing in pain. Nik caught me and Ansel didn't understand.
"Great! Vervain, it's everywhere." Said Nik with anger. "My relentless mother set a trap."
"Then I shall go and retrieve it for you." Answered Ansel with a smile.
"To what cost?" Asked Nik skeptical and could understand where it comes from. Ansel threw his weapon on the ground and walked towards us.
"Why don't you use your vampire abilities to end your doubts? Search my mind; you'll see I'm not allied with your mother." Said Ansel and I wanted to believe him.
"I have no interest in the workings in your brain." Said Nik calmly.
"I'm surprised that you're a coward. You stand there in fear of me, while your brother suffers." Answered Ansel and that was when I stepped in between them.
"Look, just please help us get the plant ok." I asked and held a reassuring hand on Nik. "I'll make sure that one behaves." I gestured towards Nik and Ansel nodded.
"Since you ask so nicely." Answered Ansel and walked over to the tree. I turned towards Nik and expected him to get angry with me but he wasn't.
"Thank you little wolf. I'm glad you're here with me." Said Nik as he caressed my cheek.
"I would always want to be here with you. Never doubt that." I said and pressed my forehead against his. "Come on; let's make a fire while we wait for Ansel."
When Ansel came back, it was already dark outside and I felt very tired.
"Are you ok?" Asked Nik looking at me with worry.
"Yeah, I'm just tried that's all. I didn't sleep that much last night." I said with a yawn. Nik brought me closer to him and I laid down with my head in his lap. Nik ran his fingers through my hair and it was so comfortable. Within seconds, I was out like a light. I woke up an hour later but I didn't make a sound. I knew this would be a good time for Nik to talk to his father. Nik continued to stroke my hair as he thought I slept peacefully in his lap. He cautiously watched Ansel's every move and noticed the inner peace he had as he was cutting the orchid he had received for Nik and me to help Elijah.
"I've always seen that kind of blade to a different use." Stated Nik as he kept a firm grip on me.
"Mikael taught you to kill, Klaus but you were born to create." Answered Ansel. "Power lays in your true nature." I could feel Nik's eyes on me before looking at Ansel again.
"You think I should accept my mother's offer." Stated Nik not keeping his eyes off him. "Sacrifice my vampirism and then what, become a florist?"
"You wouldn't be sacrificing anything. As a wolf, you could be a king to an entire species and feel true peace with Amy." Answered Ansel, looking at his son. "And be a better father."
"I am no longer a father." Said Klaus before moving Amy a little making her wake up.
"What's going on?" Asked Amy tiredly, trying not to blow my cover. None of the men answered me.
"You know in animal form, we feel everything more acutely." Said Ansel and I was bewildered with what was going on. "As a boy after each full moon, I would wait closer to your village. I'd been drawn to you during the night. Since I've been back, every month when I turn I go further from New Orleans. I know the call to my own blood Klaus."
I tensed up and looked over at Nik. The both of us knew that Ansel knew.
"I know your child is still alive Klaus." I felt sick. How was it possible Ansel knew that Hope was alive and most importantly; If Ansel knew, how long would it take before Esther knew?
Third person p.o.v
Aron was waiting for Davina to show up at the cemetery and he hated to admit to himself when he saw her, he felt something beyond power and revenge. It was a genuine feeling of affection.
"What did your mother want from you?" Asked Davina as she looked at him.
"She wants me to take that stake out of your bag and give it to her, because you can't kill Klaus before she has her big happy family." Answered Aron.
"Is that why you called me here?" Asked Davina again and it made Aron a little angry.
"I'm not my mother's puppet. I want something different entirely." Said Aron walking closer to Davina. "I want your blood. Relax love, I'm not going to take it, I'm asking for it nicely."
"Sure, I just bleed for you without any explanation at all." Said Davina sarcastically and Aron sighed.
"About a hundred years ago, I watched as this tomb used to be my brother Kol's playhouse. Some witches he used to run with made all kind of magic in here and all I could do was to watch from the other side." Explained Aron.
"So why do you need my blood?"
"Her name was Mary Alice Claire and only a Claire witch can open this tomb." Said Aron with a smile as he handed a knife to her. Davina sighed and took it. The main reason she helped him was that she was curious about what her ancestors had done in the past. The sight amazed her and it was things and gadgets everywhere.
"Wow. Did Kol really have access here?" Asked Davina.
"Well, that was until he pissed the Claire witches off." Snickered Aron.
"How did he get all this stuff?"
"Well, he was a vampire he could get whatever he wanted." Answered Aron. "He couldn't practice magic so he charmed some witches and he thought them a new kind of magic he learned in Arabia called 'Kembya'. He managed to do magic without making magic."
"Kol taught them how to make dark objects." Stated Davina.
"Yes and for some time they were scattered all over the city but by unknown influence by me, Kol never found them but he saved the one that matters."
"What is it?" Asked Davina.
"It's not about what it is but what it could be. You want to take down Klaus right. There's one thing Kol wanted to for years before finding peace after Amy came into his life, is to dagger Klaus through the heart, as he has done to him so many times."
"Those daggers doesn't work on Klaus." Stated Davina.
"Smart girl but with a little practice and some trust, we'll fix it so this one will. We put him in a box and since he won't be entirely dead, your friends will be safe." Said Aron looking at Davina. "So what do you say?"
Cami was playing her part for bringing Finn down and went with him on a date. She chatted with him, falsely getting to know him.
"My mother and I are so close. She made so many sacrifices for us and now, everything she asks for is a way for me to pay her back." Answered Finn to one of her questions. Then her phone went off.
"Oh, hold on, I'm so sorry." Said Cami as she picked up her phone. "I have to take this, a friend is covering my shift, I'm sorry."
Cami left to go outside but when Finn couldn't see her anymore, he decided to follow her.
"When he came out, he could see someone feeding off of her. He managed to scare them away but as he looked around, someone had taken Cami and Finn was beyond angry.
Finn went back to his office and used his magic to try fining Cami at the same time as he talked to Aiden on the phone.
"It was a wolf bite! Who broke rank?"
"I don't know, I will knock some heads together and find out."
"I will now where Camille is shortly. You'll meet me there, come alone because your wolves can't be trusted."
After that, Finn hung up and Aiden just looked at his phone smugly.
"Well, he bought it. His locator spell will lead him here without the bodyguards." Declared Aiden. Kol only smirked and did as he promised. He would heal Cami's wound, even though he didn't want too. Not after what Hayley told him.
"I always thought that having a woman's mouth on my neck would be more erotic." Said Cami with a snicker.
"Well, sorry about that. Thank Aiden for lending me his moonlight ring…." Answered Hayley as Cami drank Kol's blood.
"Let's hit the lights!" Kol demanded and everyone helped with blowing every candle in the church.
Amy's p.o.v
I was scared; I was terrified about all of this. Ansel couldn't know about Hope, it wasn't possible. Nik could see the torment on my face and wanted me closer to him. I hugged him so tightly and silently cried onto his shoulder. I knew Ansel could tell I was crying but he didn't say anything, he just continued to prepare the petals.
"Everything will be ok." Whispered Nik in my ear. "I promise." Ansel stood up and handed us the medicine we needed for Elijah.
"This will help Elijah." Said Ansel before turning away.
"Ansel." Called Nik and it surprised me that Nik would say anything to him. "I would be lying if I said that your offer wasn't appealing. I've never known parents to act like you do." Nik held his grip on me as he walked closer to his father.
"I think I would have liked to be your son but a different path was chosen for me and I have in the last thousand years been the son of Mikael." Said Nik with a lot of emotion. "Paranoid, vengeful and powerful enough to protect our daughter." This confirmed everything, Ansel knew and I was freaking out. Ansel looked at me and talked to me as a mother.
"I want to help protect her." Said Ansel as he used one hand to cup my face but his words meant nothing and everything all at once.
"I want to believe you Ansel but love is what Esther twists. She will take the best of your intention and use them to get to our little girl." I said as tears started to flow and I couldn't stop them. I let go of Ansel's hand and moved away from the two boys.
"You waited too long before you came to rescue me, to rescue us." Said Nik. "I won't make the same mistake with Hope." Klaus picked up the blade Ansel carried around with him and I knew what Nik was about to do.
"No, no Klaus. I know you. You are not capable of this." Said Ansel and I didn't want Nik to kill him.
"That's the first lie you've told me." Said Nik but before he could do anything, I took the sword out of his hands and stabbed Ansel myself. I never thought I would be capable to do so but Hope was everything, he couldn't live when Esther would use him to find my baby.
"I'm so sorry…" I sobbed uncontrollable. I looked up at Nik and he looked both scared and relieved at the same time. What did I do? Why did I kill Ansel? He was nothing but good to me. Nik caught him before he hit the ground and I felt this huge pain in my heart after what I did.
"No, no, no, no…. What did I do?!" I screamed as I fell down beside Ansel. Nik tried to get through to me but he couldn't at first.
"Amy, Amy! Listen to me." Said Nik as he shook me. I finally managed to look at him and his eyes mirrored mine.
"You did only what you had to do. With him, Esther could get to Hope, you did the only thing I would have done." Nik tried to plead with me.
"I'm so sorry Nik, I didn't want you to be the one to do it, and he was your father." I sobbed and Nik held onto me so tightly due to my panic attack.
"I'm not angry with you Amy, I promise. You did this to protect our daughter." Said Nik with a soothing voice. I kept on repeating how sorry I was and we sat there for what felt like the longest time but I guess Nik was right. I did what I had to do to protect our daughter but why did I feel as if I killed away some of my humanity along with Ansel?
Third person p.o.v
Finn arrived at the church and told Aiden to meet him on the outside.
"I staked it out. It seems as if some of Oliver's friends wanted to avenge his death." Said Aiden.
"Where is Cami?" Asked Finn without taking his eyes off Aiden.
"She's tied up near the altar. You go for her; I'll handle the rest ok?" Declared Aiden trying to keep his cover.
"Aiden? Your brother was one of the recruits that Oliver rescued was he not?" Asked Finn and Aiden knew he was screwed and he had no idea how to get out of it.
Finn threw an unconscious Aiden through the doors of the church. Josh sped forward to check on him as Finn entered. He looked at Josh with disgust and just with the snap of his fingers, he had broken Josh's neck.
"Camille!" Roared Finn throughout the church. Hayley attacked Finn from behind, surprising him.
"First I'm going to kick your ass for everything you and your psycho mother put my sister through with her losing her baby, then I'm taking my pack back." Said Hayley ready for a fight.
"Your pack? The last time I checked, your pack was blindly following me." Answered Finn smugly.
"Since we're talking about following, how does your mother's boots taste?" Said Hayley before she tried to take on Finn but she couldn't and he managed to knock her unconscious as well. The Kol came out of nowhere.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. Didn't mother tell you that it's not polite to hit women?" Asked Kol smugly before attacking his brother, throwing him to the ground.
"What have you done with Cami?" Asked Finn and Kol only shrugged. In the next second, Kol was thrown back with magic and he couldn't stand against it.
"Originals die by the white oak stake, you know this brother. I know I can't kill you but I'm sure as hell going to let you feel that pain." Said Finn viciously. "Let's start with the organ I always thought you were missing." Finn started chanting and Kol felt as his heart got ripped from his body. He knew is wouldn't kill him but the pain was excruciating and he screamed in agony. Just a short while later, the pain stopped and Kol could see an arrow sticking out of Finn's chest. Out of nowhere, Jackson came forwards and shot another arrow through Finn's thigh and he screamed in agony. As he tried to remove the arrows, Cami shot forward and put on the handcuffs. Finn looked at Cami and he felt some sort of betray. He tried to do magic but he couldn't.
"You would have done the same thing to me Finn." Said Cami with hatred in her voice.
Jackson rushed over to Hayley who just got help from Kol to get up.
"Are you ok? I'm so sorry I made you wait." Exclaimed Jackson.
"Your timing was pretty awesome actually." Answered Hayley and gave Jackson a kiss, a kiss that meant everything for the both of them.
Amy's p.o.v
I felt so numb. I know Nik said that he understood why I killed Ansel but it didn't help. I walked through the forest as a zombie and Nik took care of Ansel. He placed him in the trunk of the car and he had to help me getting in the front seat. I turned and looked over at Nik, I wanted to say I was sorry all over again.
"Amy, I need you to stop apologizing. Please, I can't take it. You did it for Hope and everything will be ok as soon as we have her in our arms again, I promise." Said Nik pleadingly.
"You will see it was worth it and most importantly, thank you... You are in this much torment because you wanted to preserve my own humanity and for that, I love you even more." Nik grabbed my hand and never let it go. All the way back to New Orleans, he held onto me and I just sat there with my head on his shoulder. I tried not to think about the fact that I killed Hope's grandfather and for every minute that past, more and more of my humanity slipped away. When we reached the cemetery, Nik told me he would leave Ansel in there for his proper send-off and while he was gone, I didn't move at all, I didn't even notice Nik coming back. He looked at me and he could see the light in my eyes starting to fade and he knew what was about to happen. He quickly moved me over to his lap and cupped my face.
"Amy, look at me! Do not turn your emotions off, do you hear me?" Nik looked me straight in the eye but he didn't compel me.
"I'm sorry Nik, I'm so tired of feeling bad, I need to not feel." I said not wanting to cry again.
"No, I won't allow you to do that, not now. We are so close to getting to what matters the most, please don't turn it off. I love you." Nik said pleadingly and I finally looked up at him. The look he gave me showed me everything I needed to know. I had to stay strong a little while longer and this was the reason I needed to keep holding on and not give up.
"I love you too." I told him and kissed him tenderly. Nik felt relief when he saw the little light still shining in my eyes but he knew something had to happen soon because the light in her eyes was struggling with the darkness that wanted to take over.
Nik brought me inside the compound and tried to get me to bed. I didn't want to listen and I wanted to stay to bring Elijah back. Nik reluctantly allowed me to join him. We entered Elijah's room and he was not feeling good. He was sweating and having bad nightmares. Nik took the medicine Ansel had made for us and rubbed it onto Elijah's neck as I sat down on the bed holding Elijah's hand.
"You were innocent once Elijah…" Said Nik and I together with Nik I could see the memories and the nightmares.
The young Elijah wandered around weakly in the forest. All he wanted was to give up.
"This bloodlust was forced upon us by our parents to end us from pray to predator."
The younger Elijah looked up and saw this bloody older version of himself. Out of nowhere, the young Elijah saw the adult Niklaus sitting beside him to give him courage.
"We are the monsters that lurks in the shadows; we are savage villains in fairytales told to children but not for my child, not for Hope. In her story, we are the knights in shining armor. Without you by my side, I don't think I can survive my own love. I need you, I need you brother."
"Only together we can defeat our demons and save our family." I shot in with tears in my eyes and I knew Nik was thinking the same.
In the next moment, Elijah shot upraised on the bed and directly into my embrace. He was shaking and sweating but I didn't care. He was awake and he was here, and for the first time, Nik didn't feel any jealousy. He only felt what I felt; good now that Elijah was back with us where he belonged. I held onto Elijah tightly with tears in my eyes and Nik kept a hand on my shoulder to show his compassion.
A little while later, I overheard Nik and Elijah talk in his bedroom. I know it's not easy to eavesdrop but I couldn't help it.
"What is it?" Asked Elijah as he saw the torment on Nik's face.
"Amy and I spent the day with my father, my real father." Explained Nik. "Esther brought him back from the dead believing he could make me want to give up my vampirism. The thought of what I could be had I've raised by him, how I'd been nurtured. This was his." Nik gave Elijah a sketching book filled with pictures of him as a child.
"He knew about Hope." Said Nik and that was when I stepped forward, Nik grabbed a hold of me. "And we wanted to trust him, more than anything in the world we wanted too."
"I killed him." I blurted out looking at Elijah and I could tell he wanted to say something. "I killed him because Esther could have used him to find her and I'm sorry." I tried to contain my tears and both Elijah and Nik had sympathy for me.
"You killed him for Hope and we must protect her with any cost." Said Elijah and I knew that I did the right thing for our family. After all of the things that happened tonight, I decided to go take a shower to get myself cleaned up a bit. I had just put on my robe when I heard a small whimper from Elijah's room. I walked in and saw him shaking. He didn't hear me calling his name, so I walked over to him and touched his shoulder. With an enormous force, he pinned me up against the wall by my neck. I looked him intently in the eyes and he tried to get away from my gaze. I didn't want any of that and brought him back to me. When his eyes reached mine, his eyes where glistening with tears. He had been through so much and I felt so bad for him. He let go of me as if someone had burned his hand.
"You are not alone." I whispered as I gave him a hug. Elijah hugged me back tightly and for the first time in forever, I felt as if my family was finally getting back together piece by piece.
Nik entered the room shortly after that and he was taken aback by the fact that I was only wearing my robe. I let go of Elijah and I could tell Nik understood why I stood there hugging him.
"How do you feel?" Asked Nik as I reached him and snuggled as close to him as I could.
"The worst is past but I suspect the nightmares are far from over." Answered Elijah truthfully.
"Well gather your strength, after the message I sent our mother tonight I expect hellfire to ring down upon us." Declared Nik.
"Then we make a move before she strikes." Said Elijah as Kol, Hayley and Marcel stepped forward.
"Well actually, moves were made while you were sleeping." Said Marcel with a grin.
"It's good to see you vertical…" Smiled Hayley before looking at me. "Are you ok?"
"I will be…" I answered.
"Well then; Marcel, Kol and I left you guys a present in the ball room, you're welcome." Said Hayley and stepped out of the way.
Nik grabbed my hand and together with Elijah, we walked downstairs. Nik opened the door and we saw Finn and Aron locked up against the stairs. Nik's smile grew wildly but my anger was more towards Finn. He was the main reason Elijah was captured and Oliver cursed.
"Kidnapping… What an unfriendly way to begin a family reunion." Said Aron sarcastically.
"Just wait and see how we'll end it." I snarled and tried to attack Finn with my bare hands.
Camille were sitting at Rossau's alone drinking. She was upset about everything that went down tonight and the fact that the feeling she has towards Klaus was tearing her apart inside. Camille looked up as someone walked through the door.
"Sorry, we're closed." Said Cami and took another shot.
"That's too bad, I heard you served the best Gumbo in town… Camille isn't it?" Asked Esther angrily. "My son have taken quite the liking of you." As Esther started chanting, Cami could help but think about which son she meant before everything turned black.
Again; I'm so sorry for the delay! I hope you liked the chapter and I'm sorry I couldn't keep Ansel alive.. It didn't go with the storyline.
I wanted to keep Amy with Klaus for the most of if but I also wanted to have a little time with Elijah and I thought it was for the best the way I wrote it.

I want it be some kind of more feelings towards Elijah but I don't think Amy would hurt Klaus more that way.. It's so difficult to write. Again, sorry for the delay but hopefully, I will be able to keep up with the season before the 19th, but I'm not sure yet...
