AN: So, this is my longest chapter yet. I also have news for all of you. I will be wrapping this story up within 3-4 chapters, but don't panic because I already have a sequel in development and it will probably be out within two weeks of this being finished. I will keep you all posted and I hope you all enjoy the ne chapter because i really liked writing it.

Violet finished wrapping her presents late in the afternoon on Christmas Eve. She was also pleased that Loki was sulking simply because she had told until him that presents had to wait until tomorrow morning.

"Violet Marie, this is ridiculous."

"Just eat the popcorn and watch Rudolph," Violet leaned against his shoulder. This had been one of her favorites when she was little. Loki huffed but stayed silent as they watched the movie. They had just got to the Island of Misfit Toys when a monstrous clap of thunder shook the building.

"It's December! Why is there a thunder storm!?"

"I have an inkling as to why. Violet, you are to stay inside no matter what you hear or see. Do you understand?"

"What's wrong? Loki tell me or so help me-"

"My brother has returned, now will you do as I asked of you?"

Violet nodded just was the door was pounded on with a force so great, Violet was surprised it didn't fall from the hinges.

"Be careful," she offered weakly.

"I will, dear one," He swept out of the room, gesturing for the unseen force that was Thor to follow him.

Violet immediately leapt up to peer out of the window. She could see the two talking quietly, but harshly. Loki was glaring but seemed to be trying to persuade Thor into something. Both looked to the window where Vi was watching making her blush and look away. The time Violet looked out the window, it seemed that Thor's gaze had softened and he was nodding, saying something and Loki look relieved. In a burst of swirling colors, Thor was gone again.

Violet skidded to the sofa just as Loki re-entered the room.

"So, was there a reason for this visit?"

"There was, but for now it shall remain between Thor and myself. Should all go to pass, I shall tell you by week's end."

"Okay…" Violet didn't like the answer, but she had to deal with it. "Come watch movies with me?"

"It would be my pleasure,"

"Violet, wake up," Loki crooned gently, trying to wake the girl resting comfortably using his thigh as a pillow.

"Why?"

"It is past midnight, making it the morning,"

"You want to open presents now?" Violet laughed out.

"Yes I would. Is there something wrong with that?"

"Nah, I guess not," Violet rolled off the couch and padded off to her room to get his presents. She hadn't trusted him enough to keep them with the rest of them under the tree. Loki was still on the couch when she returned but with a few bags and a rectangular box.

"This is for last," he moved the box to the coffee table. "So open this first," He handed her the biggest of the bag. She smiled brightly and tore into it. Violet pulled the box that had been buried under the tissue paper.

"Oh Loki… This is too much…" Violet breathed as she stroked the soft silk of the dress. She stood up and held up to herself. It reached the floor and the sleeves would stop half way between her shoulder and elbow.

"It's the same blue as your eyes; I simply had to see you in it."

"You're such a sweetie pie. Now open this one," Violet put a package in his hand. Loki untied the ribbon and on taped the paper. Loki smiled at the scarf in inside. It was green and blue plaid with tiny little threads of metallic gold.

"It looked like you so I figured I'd get it for you,"

"Thank you very much, Violet Marie," Violet smiled and wrapped the scarf around his neck. He wordlessly handed her the smallest of the bags. Violet was pleased to find a bag of her favorite brand of dark chocolate and a bag of white chocolate from the same company, A pair of warm looking socks, and two bottles of nail polish- green and gold.

"You're amazing," Violet's face hurt from smiling so much. She handed him a tiny box, that box turned out to hold an IPod.

"I already put a bunch of stuff on there for you too."

"This is so I will cease taking yours, correct?"

"Yup," Violet gratefully took the last bag from his hands, finding a book inside. It looked very old, the leather binding a bit cracked, the pages yellowed, but other than that it looked in very good condition.

"What is it?" Violet asked as she studied the symbols on the cover.

"A book of magic, the one my mother taught me with actually. You expressed interest in my magic before so now you have the opportunity to read about it."

"Lo, I really cannot take this, I mean,-"

Loki cut her off, "You can and you will. Now, hand me that last box."

Violet heaved the box into his lap, watching with anticipation as her pulled the wrapping paper and pulled the box top off.

"Is this?"

"A brand new Armani suit, just for you. I think you'll look very handsome in it, which will be a major plus seeing as I paid an arm and a leg for it. Do you like it?" Loki answered her with a mind blowing kiss that went on until they were both panting for air.

"One more present for you, dear one," Loki handed her the box from the table. Vi opened it carefully, revealing a silver chain and on that chain was an exquisitely cut blue gem a bit bigger than a quarter.

"Oh my word…"

"Is it not to your satisfactory?"

"Loki, it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my whole life," Violet answered him in the most sincere voice she could muster. He took it from the box and placed it around her neck.

"My mother was given this by Odin… She gave it to me to give you. It's an amulet of sorts, though she never explained what its purpose was."

"I'll never take it off," Violet vowed. "Merry Christmas, Loki."

"Merry Christmas to you as well, Violet Marie,"

"Now we just have to survive my parents tonight…"
