I do not own any of the characters from Dirty Dancing.
I only own the storyline and the characters I made up in this story.
Hope you'll enjoy the story and leave me a review anytime you want.
Thank you!
As the time went by, the days were busy for both Baby and Johnny. But they managed to get around and take enough time to enjoy each other as well. The arrangements for the wedding went great too, they've been discussing the theme they want and told Max that the 21th of March will be their wedding day. Baby want to have a simple wedding, nothing too big or too fancy and Johnny just wants Baby to have the happiest day of her life.
"Hey Baby! How are you doing today?" Baby looked at Vanessa, who she met at the university, they're in the same classes and they became friends.
"I'm great, what about you?" Baby asked as she wanted to walk up the stairs. Baby turns and looked at Johnny who smiled at her. He gave her a loving kiss while Baby giggled.
"See ya later." He whispered, giving her a kiss again. Johnny got an extra day off, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and Maria wanted him to have an extra day off since he's working so much.
"Don't forget to buy extra chairs, since we have your parents coming as well." Baby said and gave him a kiss again. He chuckles.
"I will go to the store now. You need anything for dinner today as well?" He asked, she laid her hands on his cheeks and smiled.
"Potatoes. Look if you can find a big turkey too, otherwise buy two smaller ones. For tomorrow." She said.
"I will, now go before you'll be late for class." He said and gave her a quick kiss again. She giggles and walked to Vanessa, Johnny waved and walked away.
"Where did you find him again Baby?" Vanessa asked as she looked after Johnny, Baby looked at her and smiled.
"At Kellerman's. You know, you're still welcome to come to us for Thanksgiving tomorrow." Baby said as they walk inside the building.
"I think I will, my parents told me last night that they will be departing to Europe today. So they won't celebrate Thanksgiving this year and I'm not going home. I don't want to be alone at home, so I'm staying at campus." Vanessa said and Baby smiled.
"Let's hope Johnny will buy two turkeys then." Baby said and they both giggled.
"You have a perfect boyfriend Baby, I think many are envious of you. I know I am." Vanessa said and Baby giggled.
"He's perfect to me. I don't want to change anything about him." Baby said with a dreamy smile as they enter the room and sit down. Baby take her books and looked at the tutor.
"Does he has a brother or something?" Vanessa asked and Baby looked at her. They both start to giggle now.
"No, but he has a cousin. He's lovely." Baby said with a wink.
"Interesting." Vanessa said and Baby chuckled about it.
"You will see him tomorrow, he's coming for Thanksgiving as well. Johnny's best friend too, I miss her so much." Baby said as she thought about Penny.
"Kids, we're going to start. Pay attention please, this is important." The tutor said and looked at Baby and Vanessa in particular. They both giggle a bit.
Johnny went to a furniture store, they needed three more chairs, he looked around to see if he could find some that would fit with the style of the interior in the apartment.
"Can I help you?" Someone asked, Johnny looked at the guy and smiled.
"I need three chairs, light oak, more country style or something." Johnny explained.
"I might have something, come with me. Got told by the wife?" He asked jokingly as he walked to the back. Johnny chuckled.
"She's my fiancé, but yeah sort of. She's at school now and I got an extra day off today." Johnny said and the guy smiled at him.
"Congratulations on the engagement then. Why do you need three more chairs?" He asked.
"We're getting visitors for Thanksgiving tomorrow. We have three chairs short." Johnny said with a chuckle, the guy chuckled about it.
"Here, this is country style light oaken." The guy laid his hand on a chair and Johnny looked at it, he smiled.
"Those are perfect." Johnny said, the chair nearly looked like the ones from the dining table that stands in the living room.
"Good, but they go per two or per four. I can't sell them per three sadly." The guy said, Johnny thought. Taking 4 might as well be good anyway.
"Alright, I'll take four. Is it possible to get them delivered today?" Johnny asked.
"Yeah, for an extra cost we can." He said.
"Great! I'll take them." Johnny said, they walk to the pay desk and Johnny paid for the chairs and the extra cost for the delivery.
"They'll arrive this afternoon." The guy said as he wrote something down, Johnny needed to write his address down and smiled.
"Thanks a lot. I'll see them arriving this afternoon, now I need to do some groceries." He said and the guy chuckled.
"You are under the feathers, as they say." He said and Johnny laughed.
"I am, and I don't mind. I'll do anything to make her happy." Johnny said with a wink.
"A true man with a true heart. I wish you and your fiancé all the best in life." The guy said.
"Thanks." Johnny said, they said goodbye and Johnny went to the supermarket. He looked around and saw the turkeys. He tries to decide if he should buy a big one or two smaller ones, someone stood there too.
"What did your wife told you?" He said and Johnny looked at him for a second.
"Two smaller ones or a big one. We'll have 11 people in total." Johnny answered, the guy looked at the turkeys.
"What about you?" Johnny asked.
"Six people." He said.
"Here." Johnny pointed at a medium sized one. The guy looked at it and smiled.
"Thanks man. That one is perfect. You might wanna go for two smaller ones. I think it's better manageable in the oven." He pointed at a few, Johnny looked at them and smiled.
"You might be right." Johnny said and took two smaller ones and laid them on the shopping cart.
"Say, aren't you the one that give dance lessons at the Dance Parlor?" The guy asked, Johnny looked at him with a smile.
"That's me." Johnny said.
"My sister talks a lot about you, telling me how great the lessons are. She's trying to get me to dance as well." He said.
"Dancing is fun, you should try it. It brings people together as well. It's how I got my fiancé." Johnny said with a wink.
"I see. I will think about it. I will tell my sister I have met you. It's nice meeting you. I'm Robert." He said and stuck his hand out.
"I'm Johnny, nice meeting you too Robert." Johnny said, shaking Robert's hand.
"I need to get going now." Robert said and he walked on. Johnny only smiled as he went to get the other things that is needed for tomorrow's and today's dinner. He bought extra beer, Billy and Penny will arrive this afternoon and he's looking forward to see them again. They'll be coming together with his father. So the two men will sleep on the couches while Penny will get the spare bed. He hoped that the chairs will arrive before he need to pick them up.
