Chapter 34: The Past
"Looks like our Queen has finally decided to drop the fool's mask." Suiko noted, giving the younger girl a knowing grin.
"Isis-sama?" Rekka blinked.
"I'm fine." Ami assured. "Just remembering…"
Flashback
"Report." Isis was in full Commander-in-Chief mode, the fires from the recent invasion blazing across the land.
"Zoo has been taken by the Senshi of Mars." 'Alfred' informed. "From the scant intelligence we received, Jupiter had been imposing torture on captives, trying to force the clans to submit. So far, only the 'Great Nature' clan had escaped capture."
"The clans of the Dragon Empire are yours to command." The humanoid form of 'Dragonic Overlord' stated.
"So are the Star Gate's clans." 'Mr Invincible' added.
"Just give the word, my Queen." 'Basskirk' requested. "The Magallanica clans will drown the intruders."
"Not yet." Isis objected.
"But, my Queen!" the four clan leaders protested.
"Am I or am I not the Queen?" Isis shot back, her winged Spear in one hand, the glowing 'Justice Star' in another.
"I hate it when she pulls rank on us." 'Alfred' muttered.
"Won't be her if she didn't." 'Basskirk' joked.
"True." 'Mr Invincible' agreed.
"You're too silent, oh leader of the 'Kagero'." 'Basskirk' teased.
"Shut it." 'Dragonic Overlord' growled.
Outside the council room, Isis leaned against the palace pillar as she recalled the events that had led to the invasion of her planet from the White Moon. Apparently, conquering the Solar System was not enough for Queen Selenity; she had then set her eyes on Planet Cray. With its Queen possessing the -'Justice Star' and the numerous clans that inhabited the planet, it made Planet Cray stronger than the Moon Kingdom. This didn't go too well with the Moon Queen mostly for her idea of her Kingdom being superior to everyone else, so Queen Selenity decided to nip the threat in the bud.
She had descended into the throne room in a ray of pale moonlight and demanded Isis to surrender her Kingdom to her; to subjugate Cray to her rule, the clans enslaved and used to serve the Lunar peoples and her army and the 'Justice Star's powers to be added to the powers of the Ginzuishou.
'Blaster Blade' and Blaster Dark's blades were immediately poised at Queen Selenity's throat, crossed and millimetres from cutting the intruder's head off as 'Dragonic Overlord', 'Basskirk' and 'Mr Invincible' formed a protective wall in front of their Queen.
Raising the Moon Stick, Selenity blasted both Paladins off her and repeated her demands.
Isis retaliated by using the 'Justice Star' to banish Selenity away, the screeching Queen swearing it was not the end and Isis had doomed her planet for invasion.
The Moon Queen's threat came true when weeks later, the Lunar army, led by the Senshi, landed on Zoo. It was not long before the Megacolony's clans fell and the Neo Nectar's plains were burnt to the ground.
