The Soho Home of Captain George Stacy
Peter Parker was walking down the street in front of Captain Stacy's home. He felt anxious about visiting his ex-girlfriends dad, but he needed to if so he could rectify whatever it was his Uncle Ben had done to her family.
Peter walked up to the door and heard shuffling. He knocked and heard a feminine voice talk near the door. The door opened up and Peter saw Gwen, with her belly looking like she was about to pop. Her long blonde hair was now shortened and her hair was in a bun.
"Peter what are you doing here?" Gwen asked with a mix of anger, frustration, and morbid curiosity.
"I need to talk to your dad about a story for the Bugle." Peter said quickly still feeling uncomfortable being around Gwen.
"He is in his study, first room on the left." Gwen said in monotone.
Peter walked in the house and entered the room and saw George Stacy typing on his computer. He knocked to say he was there. George saw him and a smile appeared on his face.
"Well if it isn't Peter Parker! How have you been son?" he said while offering Peter a seat next to him.
Peter sat down, "I have been doing well. Been busy at the Daily Bugle, been reporting there for a while."
The smile on George Stacy's face fell, "Following in your Uncles footsteps?"
Peter pulled out the journal and smirked, "Not all the way. My uncle was a good man and good men can make mistakes. He sold himself, but I won't do that, I couldn't live "
"What's that?"
"A list of names, of people my uncle helped hurt when he was under the Kingpins thumb."
George looked at Peter and asked, "Why are you telling me this? Peter. It's a dead mans book of names. I couldn't do anything with it."
"You don't have to. I just need to light a fire and the truth will spread." Peter remarked back.
"So who is in there that you need my help with?"
"Felicia Hardy" Peter said sternly.
George Stacy began to laugh, "You want to find Felicia Hardy? That woman hasn't been seen in months, so why her?"
"I need her help. She is the only person in this book who isn't dead, jailed, or known for being unreliable."
George stood up and put his hands through his graying dirty blonde hair, "Listen Peter, I am only telling you this because I trust you to do the right thing. Felicia Hardy is a complicated woman. The last I heard she was in the Lower East Side in hiding. You won't find her. She hate reporters and if she gets a whiff of you, she will make it so you will never find her."
Peter got up and shook his hand and said "It was nice to see you again Captain Stacy."
Peter left and heard ramblings of his name by Gwen and Captain Stacy. Peter looked at his watch and started to run towards the Daily Bugle
Noon The Roof of The Fist
The helicopter blades come to a halt. The pilot of the copter gets out and holds the door open for the giant man in the crisp and clean white suit. Herman Schultz waits in full Shocker apparel and sees Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin walk out holding a freshly lamented document.
Herman asks, "How was Latveria, Sir?"
Wilson glares at him and taunts, "It was fine. I am back and you are already sweating. What happened that would interrupt my arrival?"
Herman lifts his gold and red mask off and shows the fresh bruises, "We were robbed. The thief was fast and knew what she was after."
Wilson cracked his knuckles as his glare at Herman intensifies, "Walk me to the war room. You will tell my other patrons of your failure and we will decided what to do with you"
Herman leads Wilson to the elevator and they ride in silence as Bach plays very silently. They stop on an unmarked floor and a wall turns to a door and opens. A round table surrounded by six chairs is all that the room occupies.
Herman leads Wilson to the biggest chair and pulls it out for him to sit. He then walks over to a corner and sits.
Wilson sits down and looks at his men, the old but reliable tech manager Spencer Smythe, the philanthropist with a taste of the mystical, Martin Li, the sultry and deadly assassin Elektra, the new blood with an obsession with killer robots, Alastair Smythe, and lastly besides Wilson was their inside man at SHIELD, Miles Warren.
"Gentlemen and lady, in my absence SHIELD has risen from its ashes, Spider-man is running amok, somewhat adored by the public, and we have no journalists to tide the news in our favor. Herman failed at getting the young Parker boy, so we should try another approach. Men tell me how your efforts are going."
Spencer begins his rambles, "My son and I, may have found an in for Spider-Man. During the SHIELD/HAMMER scuffle we acquired the injured body of Susan Storm. We used her and kept her in the basement of our home for a period. We have been having the Human Torch at our house every day. He says he will bring Spider-Man when we ask."
Wilson nods and Martin begins his report. "I have been testing my new found dark touch as I call it and it works. People will do what I say for a brief period. The first few ended up dying but I have one right now who is surviving the longest."
Elektra and Alastair say nothing and Miles says hesitantly, "Director Barton has not had me on many assignments but I think I can decrypt some useful files for us." He leaves out that he is making his own Spider-Man for now.
Wilson sets the piece of paper he had been holding down on the table. He motions for Herman to come to him. Everyone watches him intently.
He points at the paper and stares at his comrades, "This is why I went to Latveria, this document, it is my ticket to rule."
Herman mutters, "What is it?"
"It is my diplomatic immunity." Wilson grabs Herman by his skull and puts his face next to the paper. "Latveria was not for pleasure. I have no pleasure beside my business. Martin you will continue to use your power and make more minions. Smythes. You are going to make a trap for Spider-Man, Miles you will get information from the fool Barton. And Elektra, kill whoever the Hand tells you to. Now all of you leave."
The men and woman leave as Wilson looks into Herman's eyes, "Tell me about this break in."
A scared Herman mutters very quickly, "A woman in a black cat suit came in and took all evidence we had on Jack Hardy. A few hours before we were told a reporter was asking around about her. We don't know who or who told us but we do. Someone wants to get you for the Hardy's. This woman was fast and she knew where the files were. She beat me and several guards down. . I thought it was Elektra but she was out of state during the robbery."
"What was she wearing?" Fisk asked.
"A black cat suit."
"Put a million dollar bounty on "The Black Cat"
