Hanna caught up with the others just as they were entering the main bit of the under gallery, walking past the different exhibits and paintings. She laughed at the Doctor's excitement as she watched him take the glass case off of the stand where a red fez was sitting on display and placed it beside the head wear. She laughed again as he out the fez on and turned to her with his arms spread as if to say "Ta-daa."

"Someday, you could just walk past a fez." Clara said, acting like the adult out of the three of them.

"Never gonna happen-Hey!" The Doctor broke off as Hanna walked past to take the lead into the room they were after and knocked the fez off his head. He picked it up and brushed the dirt off with his cuff before putting it back onto his head and following her into the room where Kate was already waiting for them.

"Ooo 3D," Hanna grinned as they entered, grinning at the Doctor and Clara and then at Kate.

"This is why we called you in." The older woman said.

"Interesting..." The Doctor mused.

"The broken glass?" Clara asked, looking at him.

"No. Where it's broken from." He explained, stepping forwards to pick up a large shard and examining it. "Look at the shatter pattern. The glass from all these paintings has been broken from the inside." He threw the glass over his shoulder back into the pile where it landed on the hard floor and shattered.

"Very CSI." Hanna grinned, "Or Sherlock Holmes. Whichever you'd rather."

"Yes, thanks for your input there, Hanna." The Doctor smiled at her.

"As you can see all the paintings are landscapes." Kate continued, carrying on with what she needed to say and ignoring the Scottish girl's interruptions. "No figures of any kind."

"So?" The Doctor looked at her.

"There used to be." She held up an electronic tablet with a photograph of the painting they were looking at on it. The Doctor took it from her, looking at the photograph and then where the figure should be in the now empty painting.

"Ooooooooo." The only thing Hanna could really add was some strange sound effects. She was already getting bored of this and half planning what she was going to do next when things got more exciting. "Spooky that. The missing figures."

Kate turned and gave her a disapproving look. Which she ignored.

"Something's got out of the paintings?" Clara asked.

"Lots of somethings." Was the Doctor's reply, looking worriedly at the pictures. "Dangerous."

"And spooky!" Hanna interjected, leaning awkwardly on his shoulder.

"This whole place has been searched. There's nothing here that shouldn't be and nothing's got out." Kate decided that the best course of action when it came to Hanna's random outbursts was to ignore them.

As the Doctor started back towards the door there was a strange noise and a crackle of energy from the far corner, the room now being bathed in an odd light. He turned in surprise and his face fell, "Oh no. Not now!"

"Doctor what is it?" Clara asked in surprise, while Hanna just laughed in glee and clapped her hands together.

"No, not now. I'm busy!" He half shouted at the fissure.

"Is it to do with the paintings?" Kate asked.

"No. No, this is different. I remember this. Almost remember."

Hanna looked at Kate, "To do with the paintings? You think a fissure in the fabric of space and time is to do with a few missing figures in some paintings? Really? Of course it's not. This is..." She grinned and spun in a circle, "This is Christmas! Almost... apart from the danger."

"Danger?" Clara looked at her friend for clarification but before Hanna could reply the Doctor seemed to realise something and snatched the fez off his head.

"Oh of course..." He glanced between the fissure and the fez in his hands. "This is where I come in." He took a few steps back and grinned at his companions before throwing the fez into the fissure. With a yell of 'Geromino!" He ran forwards and threw himself into the fissure.

"Doctor!" Clara took a step forward to stop him but Kate held her back, telling her to wait.

Hanna laughed and spun round to face them before grinning, saluting and throwing herself through the fissure after the Doctor.

She landed a few moments after he did, squarely on top of him. She took a long moment to recover, glancing up at the Tenth Doctor before scrambling to her feet. He stared in mild shock as she reached out and shook his hand vigorously while the Eleventh Doctor got to his feet behind her.

As he did, the Tenth Doctor stood up in a smooth movement and placed the fez on his head, looking between Hanna and Eleven.

"Who are these people?" One of the Elizabeth's standing behind Ten asked, staring at them.

"That's just what I was wondering." He replied, his gaze not leaving Eleven's.

"Ooooo the intense gaze when you're thinking. This is so cool!" Hanna grinned widely.

Eleven however was much more interested in what Ten looked like, talking half to himself before going over and knocking the fez off of Ten's head, "Oi, Matchstick Man."

Ten's eyes widened slightly in a mixture of shock and horror, "You're not..."

Hanna watched as they slowly and awkwardly mimicked each other for a moment before exclaiming, "Yes! Yes he is! Can we please get on with this?" As Ten turned and looked at her she added, "And yes, his is bigger than yours so please don't have the Sonic contest. You won't win."

"Okay, and who are you?" He asked.

"I travel with you. Well, him. I'm Hanna!" She stuck out a hand which he shook.

"She's not from around here," Eleven explained, "Where she's from things are different. So she knows things about us. Our future. It might be best to ignore what she says."

"Oh but that is interesting." Ten leaned in and examined her face slightly, "How much do you know?"

"I shouldn't really say." Hanna replied with a grin, "But I know quite a lot about your past and... I know what happens in your future. Past even him." She inclined her head towards Eleven before crouching and picking up the fez, "You're my favourite TV character."

"Television?" Ten looked up at Eleven.

"Afraid so. Anyway!" He looked Ten up and down, "Are you wearing sand shoes? Why are you wearing sand shoes?"

"What are you doing here? I'm busy." Ten replied.

"Oh, busy! I see. Is that what we're calling it, eh? Eh?" He ran over and plucked the fez out of Hanna's hands, placing it on his head and bowing to the two Elizabeth's. "Hello, ladies."

"Oh don't start." Ten sighed while Hanna just folded her arms and harrumphed at having lost the fez.

"Listen what you get up to in the privacy of your own regeneration is your business." Eleven said to Ten, winking slightly at Hanna who rolled her eyes.

"One of them is a Zygon." Ten tried to explain.

"That's pretty gross. Which one? Did you snog it?" Hanna cut in, "He might not judge but I will. That's seriously messed up."

"No, I did not snog it. At least... well I thought I did but it turns out it was the real one." He sniffed.

Before any of them could say anything else on the matter there was an odd noise from the time fissure and they all turned, having almost forgotten that it was even there.

Simultaneously the Doctors put on their 'brainy specs' and looked up at the fissure before glancing at each other and half congratulating each other on having them.

Eleven turned to the Elizabeths, "Your majesties. Probably a good time to run."

"But what about the creature?" They asked in unison.

"What does the creature matter? Great split in the fabric of space and time! Okay whichever is the real Elizabeth just run in the opposite direction to the other one. Got it? Okay cool." She glanced at Ten, "Sorry..."

"No, it's fine. I was just... how much do you really know of this?" He frowned at her.

She smiled at him, her expression slightly sad, "Probably far too much. I know what happens but I can't really say or do much to help. You two are clever enough to work it out for yourself anyway." She turned away and put her hands behind her back, whistling to herself as both Elizabeth's kissed Ten goodbye and ran off in opposite directions.

"Well, won't that be nice." Ten said, looking towards Eleven and glancing at Hanna, "They've gone, you didn't have to turn your back."

"Yeah but one of those was a Zygon. Said it before and will say it again. Kind of gross." Hanna turned on her heel and smiled at them.

"Yeah..." He replied.

"Venom sacs in the tongue." Eleven added.

"Yeah, I'm getting the point, thanks." Ten looked at him before a voice from the fissure attracted their attention.

"Doctor is that you?" Clara called from the other side from where she was still in the under gallery, "Hanna?"

"Ah! Hello, Clara! Can you hear me?" Eleven called back.

"Of course she can. She wouldn't have said 'is that you' if she hadn't heard your voice." Hanna moved forward and leaned on both of the Doctors' shoulders, grinning at the pair of them, "How you doing in there, Clara?"

"Yeah, we're pretty good. Um, where are you?" The voice from the other side of the fissure replied.

"Where are we?" Eleven glanced at Ten.

"England. 1562." Ten said, both to Eleven and Hanna and to Clara.

"Who are you talking to?" Clara asked.

"Myself." Both Doctors replied at once.

"Yeah, there's two of them. Don't ask." Hanna added. "In fact, do ask. Ask Kate. I'm sure her father told her all about this kind of situation. But not now."

"Can you come back through?" The woman in question asked, wanting them to stay on track.

"Probably not." Hanna answered, "In fact almost definitely not."

"Physical passage may not be possible in both directions." Eleven explained. "It's... ah! Hang on! Fez incoming!" He swiped the fez off his head and threw it into the fissure.

"Didn't work." Hanna said instantly, swinging slightly on their shoulders.

"Nothing here." Clara confirmed.

Ten frowned slightly, "So where did it go?" He glanced at Hanna who swiftly stepped back and spread her hands out slightly.

"I cannae tell ye Doctor!" She grinned, playing up her Scottish accent and making it much more pronounced and obvious, "Ye cannae make me tell ye!"

"Yes, alright. Thank you." Ten raised his eyebrows at her.

"That's her 'I want to tell you but it's really big spoilers' voice. Though she hasn't used it for a while so this must be a really big important thing." Eleven explained to him.

Hanna grinned at them, "True story. Oh! Hold on!" She heard Kate's voice getting quieter and the faint mention of 'Cromer.' "Clara, is Kate gone?"

"Um... yeah, why? Did you want to talk to her?" Clara replied after a moment.

"No, I just want you to keep an eye on her. She's not all she seems." Hanna glanced at the Doctors, "I mean she's brilliant and all that. But... yeah just keep an eye on her. Pretend everything is just normal until you get a chance to join us and you'll know your chance when it happens."

"Um... okay but why can't I join you now?"

"Just because she needs to think she's won. And stuff has been set up that needs to happen. I cannae tell ye more."

Clara sighed, "Spoilers voice. Haven't heard that in a while. Fine, I'll do it. Just keep an eye on her, yeah?"

"Aye." Hanna grinned, "Thanks Clara."

"Okay." Ten was looked from Hanna back up to the fissure, though his words were clearly directed at Eleven, "You used to be me, you've done all this before. What happens next?"

"I don't remember." Eleven replied, looking over at Ten.

"How can you forget this?!" Ten pointed between the group of them and the fissure.

"Hey, hang on it's not my fault. You're obviously not paying enough attention!" Eleven protested.

"Actually it's the result of unsynced timelines." Hanna cut in, grinning at the pair of them. "How about trying to reverse the polarity?"

Both Doctors got out their Sonic Screwdrivers and pointed them at the fissure while Hanna stepped back and leaned against a nearby tree to watch them.

"It's not working." Eleven muttered after a moment.

"We're both reversing the polarity." Ten said by way of an explanation.

"Yes, I know that." Eleven glanced at him.

"There's two of us. I'm reversing it, you're reversing it back again. We're confusing the polarity."

"Poor, poor confused polarity." Hanna shook her head slightly, "So sad."

The sound of something coming through the fissure made them both step back and Hanna stood up straighter as a third man appeared through it and looked at the group of them.

"Anyone lose a fez?" The War Doctor looked at the group of them.

Hanna stepped forward, "He did but I'll take it." She reached out to take it from him but Eleven held his hand out to stop her.

"You. How can you be here?" Ten asked in disbelief. Neither Doctor took their eyes off the older man in front of them. "More to the point, why are you here?"

"Good afternoon." The War Doctor looked at the pair of them and folded his hands behind his back, "I'm looking for the Doctor."

"Well... you've certainly come to the right place." Ten replied, still not taking his eyes off him.

"Yeah you have." Hanna grinned, taking a couple of quick steps forward so she could rest an elbow on each of the Doctor's shoulders.

"Good. Right. Well who are you boys? Oh of course. Are you his companions?" The War Doctor asked.

"His companions?" Eleven and Ten exchanged a glance of indignation while Hanna laughed out loud.

"They get younger all the time! What is so funny, young lady? If you could please point me in the general direction of the Doctor." The War Doctor asked pleasantly.

Hanna was still laughing but pointed at both the Doctors. "These two. They're the Doctor. They're not his companions." Her laughter subsided slightly into giggles, "I'm his companion though."

The Doctors hesitated for a moment before slowly pointing at each other, nodding slightly to confirm what she said and each pulling out their sonics and turning them on.

"Really?" The War Doctor questioned.

"Yeah..." Eleven said quietly.

"Really." Ten added.

"You're me? Both of you?" The War Doctor's voice was full of surprise.

"Yep, both of them. Even him." Hanna grinned at him before ruffling Eleven's hair, "Even him."

"You're my future selves? And plus one?"

"Yes!" All three of them said at once.

"Am I having a mid life crisis?" The War Doctor took a step towards them. Ten and Eleven both automatically pointed their Sonics at him and stepped away, pushing Hanna along with them. "Why are you pointing your screwdrivers like that? They're scientific instruments, not water pistols."

"Finally someone other than me who will say it." Hanna pushed between the two Doctors and reached out to shake the War Doctor's hand.

"Hanna, stay away from him." Eleven chided.

She ignored him, warmly shaking the War Doctor's hand, "I'm Rosehanna MacKay. But call me Hanna." She smiled at him before letting go of his hand and stepping back to be in line with the other Doctors, ignoring his confused look and Eleven glancing at her in disapproval. She rolled her eyes, "What is it with you two? You look like you've seen a ghost or something!"

Ten nodded slightly, "Yes well... you know, I'm loving the whole posh gravelly thing." He gestured slightly in the direction of the War Doctor, "It's very convincing."

"Brave words, Dick Van Dyke." Eleven scoffed.

Before anyone could say anything else there was a shout from the woods and soldiers appeared from between the trees. Ten and Eleven both stepped back and pointed their sonics threateningly at them. Hanna rolled her eyes leaned against her tree again.

"Which of you is the Doctor?" One of them men surrounding them demanded, "The Queen of England is bewitched. I would have the Doctor's head."

"Well, this has all the makings of your lucky day." The War Doctor replied with a slight smile.

Hanna moved over and clapped him on the shoulder, "You know, I like you. Very quick witted. And that's exactly the kind of thing I would have said and he would disapprove of because I thought of it before he did." She nodded towards Eleven as she spoke.

"I think there's three of them now." Clara's soft voice reminded them of the presence of the fissure.

"There's a precedent for that." Was Kate's matter of fact reply.

Hanna laughed, "Several." She called into the portal, "But only one on Earth."

"What is that?" The man who had been addressing them hissed, obviously frightened by it.

The Doctors once again pointed their screwdrivers at him which caused the War Doctor to roll his eyes slightly, "Oh, the pointing again. They're screwdrivers! What are you going to do, assemble a cabinet at them?"

The Doctors exchanged a glance before lowering the sonics.

"That thing... what witchcraft is it?" The man asked them.

"Ah, yes! Now that you mention it, that is witchcraft. Yes, yes, yes." Eleven immediately switched tact, wanting to get them out of the situation as soon as possible.

"Oh here we go..." Hanna muttered.

"Witchy-witchcraft. Hello? Hello in there? Excuse me. Hello!" Eleven continued. "Am I talking to the wicked witch of the well?"

"That's you, Clara." Hanna added.

"Why am I the witch?" Clara muttered.

"Clara?" Eleven called.

"Hello?" Clara replied.

"Clara. Hi. Hello. Would you mind telling these prattling mortals to get themselves begone?" Eleven looked around at the group of people in the clearing, smiling slightly at Hanna and turning back to the portal as Clara just awkwardly responded with 'what he said.' "Yes, a tiny bit more colour." He encouraged.

"Right..." Clara sighed before putting on a slightly more high pitched voice, "Prattling mortals, off you pop... or I'll turn you all into frogs."

The voice along with the gasp of horror from the soldiers made Hanna giggle slightly, turning away and hiding her mouth behind one hand so the others wouldn't notice.

"Ooo frogs. Nice. You heard her." Eleven said for effect, looking around.

Clara sighed, "Doctor, what's going on?"

"It's a... timey-wimey thing." Eleven replied.

Hanna facepalmed.

"Timey-what? Timey-wimey?" The War Doctor repeated incredulously.

Ten leaned towards them, "I've no idea where he picks that stuff up."

Hanna turned to him, "Lies! You said it first. And if you were telling the truth and you're 904 then it's already happened for you. I call bullshit."

"Yes, thank you we get the point." Ten looked up at her, "If I need my past dissecting I'll be sure to give you a call."

She turned to Eleven, "I'll be sure to remember that."

As he opened his mouth to respond Elizabeth walked out of the trees, the soldiers all dropping to one knee respectfully.

"You don't seem to be kneeling." Elizabeth strode confidently towards them, "How tremendously brave of you."

"Which one are you? What happened to the other one?" Ten demanded.

"Indisposed." The woman in front of them replied, causing them all to immediately jump to the conclusion that she was the Zygon, not that real Queen. "Long live the Queen." She continued, something which all the soldiers repeated in unison. "Arrest these men. Take them to the Tower." The woman instructed.

"That is not the Queen of England, that's an alien duplicate!" Ten shouted, pointing at her.

"And you can take it from him, 'cause he's really checked." Eleven added.

"Oh, shut up!" Ten sighed exasperatedly.

"Venom sacs in the tongue." Eleven responded.

"Seriously, stop it!" Ten's annoyance at his older self made Hanna giggle.

"No, hang on, the Tower. Did you sat the Tower?" Eleven's attention was immediately diverted back to the Elizabeth in front of them. Ah, yes, brilliant, love the Tower. Breakfast at eight, please. Will there be wi-fi?"

"Are you capable of speaking without flapping your hands about?" The War Doctor asked him, having been watching the older yet younger looking man talk with his hands moving wildly at every word.

"He's not." Hanna stepped in, "He tries occasionally but it just doesn't work for him. He has to hold his hands together or sit on them to stop himself flapping them around when he's talking and even then it doesn't always work."

"Yes, thank you for your input." Eleven said to her, sighing slightly before looking back at Elizabeth, "I demand to be incarcerated in the Tower immediately with my co-conspirators Sandshoes and Grandad. Oh and Lassie as well."

"Lassie?!" Hanna exclaimed indignantly at the same time the War Doctor questioned his older self regarding the 'grandad' comment. "Is that really the best you could come up with. 'What's something Scottish sounding, oh I know. Lassie'!"

"Silence, the Tower is not to be taken lightly." Elizabeth instructed them. "Very few emerge again."

As they were marched away Hanna looked over at Ten, "Did you really think that would work? Telling them that their Queen was an alien shapeshifter?"

He looked at her and sniffed, "Nah, not really. It was worth a shot though."

"At least you made sure we would be taken to the Tower." She replied.

"Who are you really, Rosehanna?" He asked.

"Hanna." She corrected automatically. "And I'm just his companion."

"Except you're not, are you? You've seen things, all sorts of things that shouldn't have been seen. I don't understand how you're here."

"No, neither do I. One minute I was on my way home from my birthday party with all the Doctor Who DVDs that I own in my rucksack and the next, me and my rucksack are standing in the middle of an adventure that you haven't had yet but I have watched on television and on DVD so many times. And I don't understand it." She looked up at him, "I know how you regenerate into him. I know how he regenerates after that. I know how this particular adventure ends and there is nothing I can do or say to change it. Not really. I can help of course as much as I can but... I just have to make the best of things."

"I'm sorry..." He said softly.

"Don't be. I'm used to it by now." She swallowed, "I cannae tell you how this story ends. Or tell him how his story ends. There's so much that I know but cannae tell anyone. Sometimes I feel like I'm going mad."

He shook his head slightly, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

"No. You've already tried all sorts, even putting me into your own past. I can't just sit in a little house on Earth knowing that all this is out there. I can help people." She smiled at him.

He frowned, "Put you into my past?" His eyes widened, "Oh. That was you. All those years ago."

She grinned, "Yetis and the Great Intelligence. Jamie and Victoria and you."

"Colonel Lethbridge-Stewart?" The War Doctor added.

"Good old Lethbridge-Stewart." Hanna glanced at him over her shoulder, "That was your way of cheering me up when I was feeling really homesick, just put me in a dangerous situation with a different regeneration of you. That'll total work."

"Did it?" Ten asked.

"Surprisingly, yes it did. Kind of made me realise how lucky I am to be in the place that I am. Particularly meeting you and Jamie."

"Poor lad..." The War Doctor mused softly.

"Yeah..." Ten sighed, seeming to get lost in his thoughts for a moment before looking at Hanna and smiling at her, "Good to meet you again, Rosehanna MacKay."

She laughed softly, "Good to meet you again, Doctor. This is five so far, I'm gathering quite the collection. I don't suppose that when we're not being incarcerated you wouldn't mind giving me an autograph would you?"

"Another one?" Ten raised an eyebrow.

"As I recall," the War Doctor added, "I gave you an autograph all those years ago."

"Well yeah, but that was a different you." She said as if it was obvious, "So I need to have an autograph from each version of you that I've met. Please?"

Ten nodded, "Yeah, why not. When we're done with all of this, I'll give you an autograph."

"As will I." The War Doctor smiled at her.

She grinned and the group of them lapsed into silence, Eleven watching the interactions curiously.

Author's note: I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love Hanna. Actually, this episode was one of the very first I wrote when I was still trying to find Hanna's voice. And I still love it and it's very much still her.

Question time!
1) What's the best birthday present you've ever got? - For my 17th birthday my dad took me, Marcus and a couple of friends down to Bristol for a Doctor Who convention.

2) What's the worst birthday present you've ever been given? - Too many to choose from. There's one friend in particular who tries to give me the most awful thing possible. So I think probably the creepy second hand doll with the eyes that follow you.
3) How good are you at remembering other peoples birthdays? - Pretty good. Though it's harder when you're travelling through time so don't know what day it is
