A/N well guys it's a new chapter and that means a new list.
This time we're tackling the Unova region so let's get started.

5. Conkuldurr- I love Conkeldurr because he looks like what I like to call the "badass grampa" I mean he looks like one of those wise old martial arts masters. Plus he looks so cool with those two giant pillars.
4. Haxorus- just look at this hulking dragon. It's awesome armor plating, cool coloration, and ax tusks that can slice through a steel beam! What's not to love about it?
3.- Dwebble/Crustle- both Dwebble and Crustle are hermit crabs which make me think of all the summers I spent at my Grandmother's cottage near the ocean. My sister and I always loved to play with the hermit crabs and go swimming. And we made a lot of awesome friends down there too.
2. Serperior- I really like snakes. I'm not big reader on them or anything but I really like them and Serperior's no exception. I just wish it's stats didn't suck!
1. Zoroark- Zoroark is awesome, with its illusion ability and it's awesome appearance already make it a good pokemon, in its first appearance in the 13th movie it took on an Entei, Raikou, and Suicune all at once and fought them to a draw. Name one other pokemon that has done that!
Well that's it. My top 5 favorite Unova pokemon. Tune in next time for my top 5 Kalos pokemon. After that we're doing legendaries!
May sat back down with Alex, Wally, right after she dropped Aron and Combusken off at the pokemon centre and she was just in time to see the ending of the battle.
"Hariyama use arm thrust!" one man said.
"Hari!" the large fighting type said before thrusting it's large arms at a pokemon that looked similar to Aron, only much larger.
"Lar! Lar! Lar! Lar!" it said.
The pokemon, Lairon according to Brendan, fell after the last thrust and didn't get back up.
"Well everyone it looks like we have our second winner of the first round. Let's give a round of applause to Andy!" Scott said.
Another round of applause erupted through the Battle Tent and Andy walked off the field.
"Well looks like lately these battles sure have been heating up." May said.
"Not really you only missed one and it was a bore." Alex said.
"Way to be a killjoy about it. By the way I've been meaning to ask what happened to Brendan?" May asked in a worried tone.
"I wish I knew but he basically disappeared. He seemed really serious and kinda scary for once." Wally said.
"He wasn't scary, he was more angry." Alex said.
"I see well that sure is a problem. Now I'm wondering what happened to him." May said.
As if on cue, Brandon came walking back into the area.
"Hey guys sorry I vanished like that. I had something I needed to take care of but all my problems are solved now." Brendan said with a grin.
"Did you get into a fight or something." Alex asked noticing something was up.
"Oh no it's nothing to worry about, I'm perfectly fine." Brendan said.
"Yeah I guess it was nothing" May said happily.
"Right" Alex said sounding completely unconvinced by Brendon's story but it seemed to work on everyone else. Either way she decided it wasn't worth worrying about it now so she decided to drop it.
"Now time for our third battle. Direct your attention to the screen and we can see who's next!" Scott said.
Like before the screen showed two faces and one of them was Alex.
"Well Alex looks like your up." Brendan said.
"Who do you plan on using?" May asked.
"My Growlithe and Skorupi." Alex said.
May and Brendan looked surprised at that and Alex said "what?"
"Its just surprising, in every battle I've seen you in you've always used your Frogadier." May said.
"I know but I gave him to my brother for some training. That and I wanted to use some of my other pokemon so they can get some experience." Alex said.
That and it'll be a fun game to play. Let's see how far I can make it with just these Pokemon. Alex thought with a smirk
"Alex! Will you please come down to the battle field!" Scott said.
Alex left the three and walked down to the battle field and faced her opponent.
"Now for our third match we have Alex against Carson. You guys probably already know the rules but I'm legally required to say them again though. It's a two on two battle, either of you can substitute, the battles done when both of either trainers pokemon can't battle. You two understand?" Scott said.
"Yes." Carson said.
"Can we start now?" Alex asked.
"Yes we can. Now both of release your pokemon!" Scott said.
"Alright Growlithe let's go!" Alex said.
"Scyther I need your assistance!" Carson said.
Out of the pokeball was a large green pokemon with wings on its back and two large blades for arms.
"Scyther." it said.
"Alright let's get it started!" Scott said.
"Scyther use wing attack!" Carson said.
Scyther's wings shone and it flew forward and hit Growlithe with a swipe of its wing.
"Growl!" Growlithe cried.
"Again!" Carson said.
"Flame wheel!" Alex said.
Scyther flew towards Growlithe with it's wings glowing, while Growlithe shot forward while covered in a flaming wheel and collided with Scyther and knocked the large bug back.
"Scyther." Scyther groaned.
"Slash quick!" Carson said.
Scyther quickly recovered from the attack and then slashed the flame wheel with it's blades and knocked the flame wheel, and Growlithe away.
"Growl!" Growlithe cried when he landed.
"Powerful move but that won't be enough to stop us. Hang in there Growlithe and use flamethrower!" Alex said.
"You really need to learn to shut your mouth and stop acting so cocky girl. Double team then use night slash!" Carson said.
Scyther split apart into several different copies of itself that surrounded Growlithe who launched a flamethrower that blasted one of the many Scyther's out of exhistance.
All of the Scyther's blades started shining purple and they shot at Growlithe and slashed him.
"Growl!" Growlithe cried out.
"Growlithe hit them with flame wheel!" Alex said.
Growlithe surrounded himself in a cloak of flames and then rushed towards all of the Scyther copies, which would disappear every time Growlithe hit them until there was only one left.
"Now use flamethrower!"
"Quick attack!"
Growlithe launched a jet of flames from his mouth but Scyther was on the move and dodged the flamethrower so fast that it looked like it teleported.
Scyther then shot forward and quickly slammed into Growlithe and sent him flying "Growl!"
"Follow up with night slash!" Carson said.
"Dig!" Alex said.
Growlithe quickly dug a tunnel underground and avoided the attack.
Scyther was just hovering there and looked around.
"Now hit Scyther with flame wheel!" Alex said.
The ground underneath Scyther broke and a flaming wheel shot from underground and slammed right into Scyther who cried out in pain and hit the ground.
"Scyther get back up and use night slash!" Carson said.
"Flame wheel!" Alex said.
Scyther quickly got back up and then flew forward with it's two blades turning purple. Growlithe on the other hand charged forward and became surrounded in flames that took the shape of a wheel.
Both pokemon collided and both were thrown back. Scyther was thrown back and landed on its back and Growlithe managed to land on his feet.
"Good job Growlithe!" Alex said with a smile.
"Growl! Growl!" Growlithe barked happily.
"We're not done yet girl. Now Scyther use slash!" Carson said.
"Time to end this. Growlithe dodge and use flamethrower!" Alex said.
Scyther got in range of Growlithe and slashed the fire type but Growlithe fell onto his stomach and the slash missed, Growlithe then aimed his face at Scyther and launched a powerful flamethrower at point blank range.
"Scyther!" the large bug cried.
Growlithe stopped firing when he saw Scyther on the ground and then hopped back to his feet and barked happily "Growl Growlithe!"
"Well looks like this round belongs to Alex and Growlithe!" Scott said.
"Well I'll give you points for not using any special attacks but Growlithe is still far stronger and he's able to take care of himself and on top of that we were able to counter and win this. Right buddy that was great Growlithe!" Alex said and knelt down.
Growlithe ran to her and stood on his back legs and started licking her face.
"Hey get down boy that's just embarrassing and we still have more to do in order to win this battle." Alex said laughing a bit.
"To think she scolded me and now she's acting like a child. No matter, I'll still be able to win this battle."Carson said annoyed
"I won't be able to take Alex seriously after seeing this." May said with a laugh as she watched Alex giggle from Growlithe licking her face.
"Same here." Brendan said with a chuckle.
They think that's bad huh. That's not even the most embarrassing thing I've seen her do. Wally thought with a calm expression on his face.
"Ok Growlithe down boy." Alex said and wiped the slobber from her face.
"That's an impressive Growlithe I can't deny that. But let's see how you deal with my Pelipper!" Carson said.
Pelipper was a large flying type with a large head and an even larger bill, both of which took up most of its body.
"Pelipper!" it said.
"Oh no that's bad." Wally said.
"Yeah. That Pelipper can take down her Growlithe with a water attack and it could take out her Skorupi with a flying attack." Brendan said.
"Its the perfect counter to both her pokemon. What terrible luck." May said.
"Well it isn't good for her but she's faced lots of hard battles before and came out on top. So we shouldn't doubt her. I mean you know what they say, it's not over until the fat lady sings." Wally said.
"Well true but from the looks of things the fat lady is starting to warm up." Brandon said.
"Do you really think she has no chance." May asked.
"Yea she's finished that much is certain. Or at least that's what Alex would say. Still it won't be easy but I'm sure she has a plan." Brandon said.
"A Pelipper huh. Well if a lot of trainers fought against this thing then that would mean trouble. Honestly if anyone was in my position then I'd say they would most likely lose. Still that doesn't' mean that I'm going to lose. I have a plan to win but for now I should make a switch." Alex said while returning her Growlithe and sent out her Skorupi.
"Skorupi? Your using a bug against my Pelipper? What a stupid move." Carson said.
"Oh yeah? Well we'll see about that. Now Skorupi cross poison!" Alex said.
"Protect!" Carson said.
Skorupi crossed it's claws leapt forward and tried to slash Pelipper but only hit the green barrier which protected it.
"I think it would be you. Now Pelipper use ice beam!" Carson said.
"Dodge it then use poison fang!" Alex said.
Skorupi barely managed to avoid the beam of ice and then leapt at Pelipper and clamped down on one of its wings with his now purple claws.
"Pelipper!" it cried.
"Hit it with wing attack!" Carson said.
Pelipper started hitting Skorupi with it's other wing and caused Skorupi to grunt with each hit.
"SO do you have a comment to make about my Pellipper using Wing attack and Ice Beam since their a special and physical attack?" Carson said annoyed.
"Well if you really want my opinion then I'd recommend you stick to special since Pelliper is better with it. Like your Wing attack was okay but if you used a special flying move then it would really make a difference." Alex said happily.
"I was being Sarcastic. I didn't really want you're a opinion." Carson said
"Then you shouldn't have asked. I swear if you ask a girl a question we'll give you 8 answers. I swear you know less about women then grass head and trust me that's saying something. Alright Skorupi let go and use cross poison!" Alex said.
Skorupi let go of the wing and while still close slashed Pelipper with his claws in an X formation.
"Pelipper!" it cried it pain.
"Wonderful. I was hoping for poison." Alex grumbled.
"Thats your plan? Hope we get poisoned?" Carson asked.
"Maybe, maybe not." Alex said.
"Taking a gamble is officially risky don't you think." Carson said.
"No not really kinda just means I'm taking a chance." Alex said laughing
"So transparent. Now Pelipper use aerial ace!" Carson said.
"Poison sting!" Alex said.
Pelipper shot forward while surrounded in white light and dove right down at Skorupi who was now launching a barrage of white needles from his tail but Pelipper easily avoided them and slammed into him.
"Skorupi!" the small pokemon cried.
"Use poison sting again!" Alex said.
"Dodge it and use aerial ace again!" Carson said.
Skorupi launched another barrage of white needles from his claws but Pelipper easily avoided them and slammed into Skorupi again.
"Skor!" Skorupi cried out.
"Ice beam!" Carson said.
"Move and use poison fang!" Alex said.
Skorupi started scurrying towards Pelipper while avoiding it's ice beam. Once he was close enough he leapt into the air and clamped down on Peipper's wing like before.
"Pelipper!" it cried.
"Now let go and use cross poison quick!" Alex said.
Just like before Skorupi let go of Pelipper and slashed it with his claws in an X formation.
"Hang in there Pelipper." Carson said.
Unfortunately for Pelipper it's entire body turned purple and it cried out "Pelipper!"
"Great your poisoned! I knew if I kept attacking you that it would happen sooner or latter. Though I would've prefered sooner instead of latter. Plus it was just a cross Poison Poison so it's just normal instead of being badly poisoned. I'm unlucky today" Alex said puffing out her cheeks annoyed.
"Can you shut up! You know as well as I do that you just got lucky." Carson said.
"No getting lucky would be not having to face you as an opponent. You annoy me. Also lucky would be actually poisoning you earlier then ten minutes into this thing. Oh well at least it works. Now Skorupi use night slash!" Alex said.
"Aerial ace!" Carson said.
Both Skorupi and rushed towards each other, Skorupi's claws turning purple and Pelipper becoming surrounded in a white light and collided and were both sent flying back.
"Skor!" Skorupi yelled.
"Pel!" Pelipper cried.
Both pokemon managed to get back to their feet however Skorupi was in worse shape then Pelipper.
However Pelipper was still poisoned and yelled in pain "Pel!"
"Alright Skorupi use poison sting!" Alex said.
"Dodge and wrap this up with aerial ace!" Carson said.
Skorupi launched a barrage of white needles from his claws but unlike before Pelipper managed to dodge and then slammed into Skorupi.
The small bug/poison type went flying and landed on his back.
"Skorupi." he said before laying motionless.
"Great job Pelipper!" Carson said.
Peli... Pelipper!" the water/flying type said before shining purple and cried out in pain.
"Well your Pelipper's still poisoned so we still have a chance to win this. Actually I'd say our chances are about 100%" Alex said not looking concerned at all.
"Yeah but we still have a huge type advantage. Try adding that to your calculations." Carson countered.
"Your right but that only really matters if you have a actually strong Pokemon. That Pelipper looks like it's about to die so I doubt your typing would make much of a difference. Now come back out and win this Growlithe!" Alex said as she released her small fire type.
"Growl!" Growlithe barked.
"Hey she sure is being reckless and kinda overconfident." May said.
"Yea but knowing her she'd only do that if she was certain she'd win." Brendan said closing his eyes and nodding.
"Yea this battle is as good as over." Wally said
"For you to say that then you must be certain." May said
"Ok then, our next move takes the win. Now Pelipper use hydro pump!" Carson said.
"Dig." Alex said.
Growlithe quickly burrowed underground and avoided the large jet of water that was fired at him.
"Now come up and use crunch!" Alex said.
Growlithe shot from the ground and bit down on Pelipper's foot, and because Growlithe weighed more then Skorupi he managed to drag Pelipper to the ground.
"Now throw it!" Alex said.
Growlithe then started to spin Pelipper around by its foot and kept picking up speed and then threw it.
Pelipper was sent flying so fast it didn't have time to even attempt to cushion it's fall and hit the ground hard.
Pelipper got back to its feet and then turned purple for a second which caused it to cry out again.
"Pel. Pel. Pel. Pel." Pelipper panted.
"Come on Pelipper we just need one hit. Now hydro pump back to back!" Carson said.
"Dodge them Growlithe!" Alex said.
Pelipper started to rapidly fire powerful jets of water from its large mouth, but despite the damage Growlithe had already taken from his fight with Scyther, Growlithe was moving as fast as before and managed to avoid the rapid barrage of hydro pumps.
"Pelipper!" the poisoned pokemon cried while glowing purple for a moment.
"Alright looks like it's near the end of its rope. Now Growlithe it's time for wild charge!" Alex said.
"Oh crap! If that hits we're done for! Pelipper hydro pump!" Carson said panicky.
Growlithe shot forward while his fur crackled with electricity and nimbly avoided the jets of water and slammed into Pelipper and knocked it to the ground.
To Alex's surprise it looked like it was about to push itself back to its feet but the poison took the time to kick in again and caused Pelipper to cry out before collapsing at last.
"Well in a surprising turn of events it looks like Alex has won our third round!" Scott said.
There was a round of light applause but Alex could hear three people clapping loudly and she smiled at that.
Growlithe sat at her feet and barked several times, he wanted some attention.
Alex laughed and knelt down "that was wonderful little buddy." she said and rubbed his furry head.
"Growl! Growl!" Growlithe said before standing up and started licking Alex's face.
"Ok down boy. Like I said this battle wasn't that much of a challenge. Growlithe still had plenty of energy left. Even if he had gotten hit by that attack I doubt we would've lost." Alex said before she turned around and walked off the field to go to the pokemon centre with Growlithe trotting beside her.
While they were walking to the pokemon centre Growlithe suddenly stopped and started looking around while sniffing the air. He then took off with a loud bark.
"Growlithe? What's gotten into you?" Alex asked before running after him.
Growlithe ran to the pokemon centre and leapt onto someone outside it.
"Growlithe!" Alex said in surprise and embarrassment.
"Hey little fella." a familiar voice said.
"Vee!" Eevee said.
"Earnest?" Alex said in surprise.
"Hey Alex." Earnest said while rubbing Growlithe's head.
"Eevee!" Eevee said before leaping into Alex's arms.
"What are you doing here?" she asked and stroked Eevee's head.
"What? You think I was going to miss your tournament? Nice job with the wild charge by the way." Earnest said.
"Thanks. I taught him that just in case we had to go up against a water type." Alex said.
"Well its smart thinking. So have the others made it into the second round too?" Earnest asked.
"Not yet. So far it's just May and myself. But they will. Trust me they have it guaranteed." Alex said.
Before Earnest could reply they could hear from the Battle Tent "now will Brendan Birch and James Willson please come down to the battle field."
"Well looks like your friend is up you should probably go watch." Earnest said.
"There's no need, I already know the outcome. Him and that girl and even grasshead all are strong. They won't lose." Alex said.
"And what if they face you?" Earnest asked with a smirk.
"Well I suppose I"ll have to find out. Either way it'll be fun." Alex said with a smile.
"I see still you should go watch. I mean it would be fun don't you think" Earnest said happily
"Fine. Can you do me a favor and take Skorupi and Growlithe to the pokemon centre?" Alex asked before practically throwing Earnest the two pokeballs and gave Eevee back to him before running back to the battle tent.
A/N well here we have it. Alex's battle is down and next we're moving onto Brendan.
Now I really like the people who have told me their favorite pokemon and I really hope more people do as well.
