Lisa: I'm going to do my rounds but If you need anything before I get back just let one of the other girls know
Casey: ok I will
Derek had went back to the chapel after running into his friend. He fell asleep on the pews. He decides to go visit Mackenzie unaware that Casey was already there.
After washing up and putting on a gown, Derek sees Casey holding and talking to Mackenzie. He walks over to them.
Derek: hi
Casey looks up "oh hi"
Derek: how is she?
Casey: she's good. A little fussy, but it think it's because her tummy hurts.
Derek: oh. Is she eating ok?
Casey: yeah I think so. Some tummy troubles but it's to be expected with her being early.
Derek: good to know
Casey: would you like to hold her?
Derek: yeah, but only if you're done holding her.
Casey: yeah she needs her daddy-daughter time. she and I had our mommy-daughter time. But thanks for being considerate.
Derek sits down and Casey hands him Mackenzie. He starts rocking her in the chair and she falls asleep.
casey takes her camera out and takes a few pictures.
Derek: listen Casey we need to talk
Casey:ssshh. It's ok we'll talk later. let's just enjoy our time with Kenzie ok. Please
Derek: ok. But I don't think we need to keep putting it off though. We really should talk when we get back to your room.
Casey: you're right we do need to talk but not in the NICU so let's drop it ok.
