Hearing a crash from downstairs Cameron and Leela went to investigate.
"Are you okay?" Leela asked in concern once they made their way downstairs, seeing Peri sat on the couch and her phone lying on the floor next to the dining table.
"Mum just text me, she wants me to go over there" Peri said in frustration "Why can't she just leave me alone, she hasn't even said anything about leaving, does she think she can just keep it quiet then just drag me with her, because she can't" Peri was getting louder and louder as she worked herself up "And don't think I don't know what you were doing up there because I do, I'm not 5"
"Okay" Leela said, moving to pick up the phone that had been thrown across the room "Just calm down" Leela said gently, walking over to her daughter.
"I'm sorry" Peri cried, standing up and taking her phone from her Mum "It's just everything I ever thought has been a lie and then there's Mum, why is she doing this?"
"I don't know Pez, but despite everything she does love you" Leela told her daughter before embracing her in a tight hug.
"And despite everything I still love her, she's my Mum" Peri pulled away from the hug and looked at Leela "Well, you know what I mean, I don't know what to call her anymore. I want to give you and Cameron a chance" she looked at Cameron briefly "I really do" looking back at Leela she continued "But she's been my Mum my whole life..." Peri trialed off as tears started to form "It's okay" Leela reassured her as she pulled her into another hug.
"I will always love you" Leela whispered while hugged her daughter ""No matter what you choose, I will always love you"
Pulling apart Leela wiped Peri's fallen tears away and smiled at her "Maybe you should go and speak to them?"
"Will you come with me?" Peri asked, looking at her Mum "Please" she begged; she didn't want to go on her own because she hadn't really seen her 'Dad' since everything had happened and she was scared.
"Okay" Leela agreed, holding her hand out for Peri to take "Come on, let's get this over with"
Peri took Leela's hand as she could hear the slight fear in her voice "I'm not going with them, I want to be with you and Cameron. I want you to be my Mum and Dad" she admitted.
"Are you sure?" Leela questioned.
"I know I've been all over the place but I've decided I want to try. I want to be your daughter, I'm not saying it won't be hard but I want to try"
Leela smiled at her little girl; were they finally turning a corner?
"Come on then" Leela said and they both walking forward; Leela gave Cameron a quick kiss on the lips "We'll be back soon" she promised.
Peri stopped in her tracks and walked over to her Dad, wrapping her arms around him she hugged him "I love you Dad" she admitted bashfully; she didn't know him that well but she was hoping they could get to know each other better because he was her Dad after all and she knew how much he loved her.
Cameron smiled as his eyes began to water with emotion; quickly wiping at his eyes he kissed the top his daughter's head; did he finally have his little girl back after all these years?
