Chapter 38: The Prophecy
Despite Myotismon's apparent defeat, his fog barrier continues to loom over the district, even thicker than before.
"Aw, you've gotta be freaking kidding me." Shiro yells in anger kicking Myotismon's mask that was on the ground in the middle of the rubble.
"That lousy fog barrier's still up." Matt says.
"So beating Myotismon didn't solve anything." Mimi says then the sound of beeping catch everyone's attention.
"Hang on. We've got an e-mail from Gennai." Izzy says.
"Who's Gennai, Shiro?" Rei asks her crush as they walked over.
"He's the one who took care of Lunamon for you and helped us get back from the Digital World." Shiro says.
"Wonderful news, my friends. I may have found the way to defeat him once and for all. All though this looks like a graham cracker, it's actually an ancient text which I've transplanted. 'The sky will be darkened by the wings of many bats. The fallen people will invoke the name of the Undead Digimon King and when the clock strikes the Hour of the Beast, the Undead King will reveal himself in his true form and unveil the beast. Then angels will shoot arrows of Hope and Light at the loved ones of those they have been sent to protect and a Miracle will happen. Please always recycle.' That last part seems weird, but good luck." Gennai icon says as his image faded away.
"Well that was about as clear as mud." Sora says.
"Sora's right. Can you make heads or tails of it, Izzy?" Rei asks.
"Uh, well…" Izzy says.
"Listen, Tai. Maybe we should try and find mom and dad." Kari says.
"You're right." Tai says.
"I wouldn't mind checking my place, either." Joe says.
"And I'd like to change my pajamas or at least get a matching robe." Mimi says.
"Yeah, let's go. No reason to stay here." Tai says.
Later they all arrived at Izzy and Joe's apartment building.
Izzy then walks out with his parents who were still in his room.
"All right, can someone explain what's going on?" Masami asks.
"It's a pretty long story , but I'll try." Hiroaki says.
"Hey, everybody! Wait for me. Sorry I'm late. Huh, aren't we missing somebody?" Mimi asks as she ran over dressed in her normal clothes with Tanemon by her side.
"We're waiting for Joe. He's still upstairs." Sora says.
Meanwhile Joe and Bakumon walks into his apartment.
"Mom? Dad? There's no sign of anyone." Joe says.
"Do you think they've been captured with all the rest? That would be sad." Bukamon says.
Just then the closet door slides open and a hand reaches out and grabs Joe's shoulder causing him to scream.
"Don't do that." Bukamon says.
"Relax, it's only your brother, who's totally freaked." Jim Kido, Joe's older brother says.
"Jim, what are you doing hiding in there?" Joe asks.
"Well I'm not playing hide-and-seek. Those creepy things tore the place apart." Jim says.
"They are creepy aren't they?" Bukamon asks.
"Frankly, I wouldn't talk if I were you." Jim says.
"Hey don't worry about this little guy, Jim. He's a friend of mine. I've got more good news; Myotismon's been destroyed." Joe says.
"Just who is Myotismon? For once in your life, Joe, you sound like you actually know what you're talking about." Jim says.
"Mm-hmm." Joe says.
"There's a first time for everything." Jim says.
A few minutes later Joe, Bukamon, and Jim came down and Izzy was introducing Mimi to his parents.
"Mimi I'd like to meet my parents." Izzy says.
"Hello my name's Mimi Tachikawa, I'm Izzy's girlfriend and this is my Digimon partner Tanemon." Mimi says to Izzy's parents.
"Well it's nice to meet you, Mimi. You're quite beautiful for a girl your age." Yoshie says happy that her son found a girl like her.
"Thank you." Mimi says blushing. A few second later Hiroaki comes up with a plan.
"Found out what's happening at the convention center and we'll try and get through the fog barrier. Right, T.K., Toshiro?" Hiroaki asks his two sons.
They nod and were about to head off when Rei grabbed Shiro's hand.
"Wait, can I come too?" Rei asks.
"Uh…" Shiro stutters while blushing a bit.
"I'm sorry but there's not enough room in the life boat. You go on with the others and help them, okay sweetheart." Hiroaki says.
"Alright." Rei sighs as she watches the four head off with Dracomon, Gabumon, and Patamon following.
The others all start to leave but Sora notices Rei was still looking in the direction Shiro went off in.
"Rei Saiba, I've never seen you like this before. Do you perhaps have a crush on Shiro?" Sora asks teasingly.
"Um, well…yes, it started when I saw Ikkakumon fighting that squid like Digimon the other day." Rei says as she and Sora walk off with the others.
"You were there? That explains why Lunamon sensed someone calling to her." Sora says.
"Yeah and like the saying goes; 'Love at first sight'. I guess it turned out to be true." Rei says blushing a bit.
"Well Shiro would have to be stupid not to fall for a girl like you." Sora says to her friend.
"Okay then as long as where talking about crushes, what about you and Tai?" Rei asks teasing her right back.
"That's none of your business." Sora says blushing looking away causing Rei to giggle.
Joe, Bukamon, and Jim were the first to arrive at the convention center on Jim's moped.
"So tell me Joe, are you still planning on being a doctor?" Jim asks taking off his helmet.
"Joe is smart. He can be a doctor." Bukamon says.
"There's a lot more to it than that." Jim says.
"Joe can be whatever he wants." Bukamon says.
"It's what my dad wants me to be." Joe says with a sad look on his face.
"Poor dad, he doesn't know." Jim says.
"No." Joe says in the same tone.
"Are you implying Joe's not smart enough or something? Listen, I don't care if you are his brother, you've got no right-" Bukamon says angrily.
"Now calm down. I'm not saying he's not smart enough. I'm just saying it'll be kind of hard for him to be a doctor when he passes out at the sight of blood." Jim says.
"Yep, that's my pal Joe." Bukamon says.
"Look I think you're friends are coming. We'll talk about this later, Joe." Jim says.
As they got to the center, they saw a Bakemon flying by, guarding the area.
"There's one of them now. Let's go." Agumon says as he and Gatomon lead the group.
"Yokomon digivolve to…Biyomon!"
"Motimon digivolve to…Tentomon!"
"Moonmon digivolve to…Lunamon!"
"Bukamon digivolve to…Gomamon!"
"Tanemon digivolve to…Palmon!"
"Lightning Paw!" Gatomon attacks one of the three Bakemon by punching him in the face.
"Pepper Breath!" Agumon fires his flames at the other two.
"Super Shocker!" Tentomon electrocutes a Bakemon.
"Tear Shot!" Lunamon generates a ball of water and fires it at one of three Bakemon.
"Marching Fishes!" Gomamon sends different colored fishes at the remaining two Bakemon.
"Poison Ivy!" Palmon uses her vines and wraps them around one Bakemon slamming him into two others.
"Spiral Twister!" Biyomon sends her attack at the three Bakemon.
Once the Digimon finished their attacks all the Bakemon burst into data sending them back to the Digital World.
"Excellent. Good work you guys." Tai says.
Walking into the center, they found all of the adults and some kids passed out on the ground.
"Mom, dad? Wake up." Tai says as he, Kari, and their partners check on their parents.
"Daddy? What's happen to them?" Mimi asks as she looked over her parents.
"They're all so totally still." Joe says as he watched his parents, Jim checking them. "Are they-?" He trailed off.
"No, their pulses are normal." Jim says.
"That's good." Joe says.
"Joe, listen to me, it's your life you gotta live it your way not dad's way." Jim says.
"I guess." Joe says.
"After I become a doctor, I'm going to South America, Africa, someplace I can really help people. Dad's already told me he doesn't approve." Jim says.
"I can imagine." Joe says.
"Anyway right now we've got to see to all these people." Jim says.
"What can we do?" Joe asks.
"If only we could get help from the outside." Jim says.
Meanwhile Matt, Shiro, T.K., their dad, and their Digimon were in a life boat trying to get through the fog barrier.
"It's hopeless. There's no way to get through this fog." Hiroaki says.
"Hello anybody. Come out, come out wherever you are." Patamon says.
"No like this; if you save us, we'll give you anything you want including candy!" Gabumon yells.
"Getting in was one thing but getting out is another, huh Shiro?" Dracomon asks.
"Yeah maybe we should go back to shore." Shiro says.
Back at the convention center.
"This is all our fault, Gatomon." Kari says.
"Mm-hmm." Gatomon says.
"Don't worry, Kari, this spell or whatever it is will wear off." Rei says placing a comforting hand on Kari's shoulder.
"Rei's right and once it does everyone will just wake up again." Sora says.
"Mm-hmm." Kari and Gatomon say together.
"Yeah, isn't that right mom?" Sora asks looking at her mother.
Matt's group had just reached shore when they were ambushed by Gizamon.
"Blue Blaster! Dragon Breath! Boom Bubble!" Gabumon, Dracomon, and Patamon fire their attacks at the Gizamon to hold them off while their partners and dad made it to the van.
"We were better off lost in the fog!" Hiroaki yells.
"Let's go!" T.K. shouts to the Digimon.
"If you insist." Gabumon says as they all get in the van.
The Gizamon hop onto it causing the van to tip over on its side.
Meanwhile in the tree beside the van Myotismon's bats flew in and absorb the data of the Gizamon before flying off.
"Huh?" Matt asks.
"Come on, guys." Hiroaki says pushing the van door open as Shiro slides the back seat door open.
"Hey what happened to them?" Matt asks.
"No clue, bro." Shiro says helping T.K. up.
"Over there." T.K. says spotting the bats.
"'The sky will be darkened by the wings of many bats'." Hiroaki says.
"That's the first part of the prophecy that Gennai translated. We've gotta tell the others." Shiro says and the others nod.
Meanwhile the bats came to the TV station and gathered around Myotismon's mask.
"Now things start to get interesting." DemiDevimon says.
Back at the convention center Izzy and his parents were talking.
"You wanted to talk to me?" Izzy asks.
"Yes son. When you went off and left us there in hiding, your mother and I thought we might never see you again, so we talked and we decided that the time had come to tell you that we're not you're real parents, Izzy." Masami says.
"I already know. I heard you talking once. I pretend to myself that I hadn't heard anything then I made believe I misunderstood, then I tried to wipe it from my mind and act like everything was the same as before. But it wasn't and I didn't mean to but I just started drifting away from you a little more each day." Izzy says.
Unknown to them Tentomon was watching from behind a corner.
"That's why you buried yourself in that computer." Masami says.
"That's right." Izzy says.
"That's not surprising. It's who you are, you see in so many ways you're the living image of your real father." Masami says.
"What was my real father like?" Izzy asks.
"He was a fine man and a brilliant mathematician. In fact he was a lecturer at the university. He and I were distant cousins, I was his only living relative and your mother had no living family of her own so when it happened, late one night there was a terrible car accident. Neither of them survived." Masami says.
"We had lost a little boy of our own you see just before, so when we were asked if we might want to take care of you, well it seemed like I don't know, some kind of sign. We said yes." Yoshie says.
"So you made me your son just like how Mr. Ishida and Ms. Takaishi made Shiro their son." Izzy says seeing how similar he and his best friend are.
"We always planned to tell you the truth. We were just waiting for you to grow up a little bit more. But now you seem to have found out on your own. We waited too long. I'm sorry son." Masami says.
"No, no dad there's no need for you to be sorry. It couldn't have been easy for you to tell me all of this. And I'm well um glad you did. And thank you for sending me to that summer camp because of this whole adventure I've got two more people who really care about me, my girlfriend Mimi, and my best friend Shiro." Izzy says.
"I'm glad they care about you and we just want you to know we love you Izzy." Masami says.
"You see as far as we're concerned you are our real son. Nothing can ever change that." Yoshie says. Izzy then begins to cry and hugs his mother. "Mom." Izzy cries.
Yoshie wraps her arms around her son as Masami joins in the family hug too.
"Gee it's times like this I wish I had a Digi-mommy." Tentomon says tearing up.
"Sora, your mom's awake!" Biyomon cries.
They gasped and turned to see the woman had sat up with her arms out in front of her, her face blank like she was under a spell.
"Lord Myotismon. Lord and master." Toshiko says.
"Mom, what is it? Are you all right? Mom?" Sora asks as she ran to her mother's side.
At the TV station a large shadow wearing Myotismon's mask rises from the ground.
"More." Myotismon in the form of a shadow growls.
"Hey there master. Good to see you're back on your feet." DemiDevimon says.
"More energy, I need more." Myotismon says.
"You got it." DemiDevimon says.
The bats then flew over to Tuskmon and Snimon absorbing their data and brought it back to Myotismon.
"Won't be long now, the boss is gonna be bigger and badder then ever." DemiDevimon says.
Back at the convention center all of the other people started repeating what Toshiko says just as the rest of the DigiDestined came in, confused and worried about what was going on.
"Stop it, Dad. Snap out of it." Tai calls.
"Mom, it's me!" Mimi calls.
"What's going on?" Hiroaki asks.
"Very odd. Physically, they're still asleep. It's like they're all having the same dream." Jim says.
"Wait a minute! Do you guys remember that prophecy?" Izzy asks as he came in.
"Yeah, it says 'the Fallen People will invoke the name of the Undead King'." Matt says.
"Well, the first part about the bats came true." Gabumon says surprising Sora, Tai, Rei, and Joe.
"When was that?" Tai asks.
"What did the third part of the prophecy say?" Sora asks.
"Before the recycle part it was, 'When the clock strikes the Hour of the Beast, the Undead King will reveal himself in his true form'." Izzy reads.
"Terrific, but what's the 'Hour of the Beast'?" Tai asks.
"666." Hiroaki says making everyone look at him. "Six second and six minutes past 6:00." He says.
"Sounds like triple six…is our unlucky number." Tai says as he looks at the clock on his Digivice. "It's almost time!" He says.
"Quick, get in the van." Hiroaki says as he, Matt, Shiro, and Tai along with their Digimon head towards the van.
Once in Hiroaki punches the gas pedal and drives off towards the TV station.
Meanwhile a lot more bats were swarming around the station.
At the same time Tai looks at his Digivice and sees it reads 6:06.
"We're never going to make it." Tai says.
Six seconds later the clock struck the Hour of the Beast.
"Show time." Shiro says seeing the time.
They made it just in time to see a large creature burst out of the TV station, Myotismon looking even uglier than he was before.
"Is that Myotismon?" Shiro asks as he, Matt, Tai, Hiroaki, Gabumon, Dracomon, and Agumon got out of the van.
"He's been taking steroids." Matt says.
"It's his true form. The beast." Hiroaki says.
"Hey, come on." Agumon says.
"Right." Gabumon says.
"I'm with ya." Dracomon says.
"Agumon digivolve to…Greymon!"
"Gabumon digivolve to…Garurumon!"
"Dracomon digivolve to…Coredramon!"
The beast turned to the dinosaur, wolf, and dragon, sending out this powerful blast out winds at them just as DemiDevimon came in and the winds died down.
"Where are my manners? Allow me to introduce you to the new and improved VenomMyotismon!" DemiDevimon says.
"VenomMyotismon?" Tai asks.
"That's right. The King of the Undead. He's the un and you're the dead." DemiDevimon says.
Shiro then scans VenomMyotismon with his Digivice and then the data screen pops up.
"No way!" Shiro says in disbelief.
"What is it son?" Hiroaki asks putting a hand on his son's shoulder.
"I thought the Ultimate was the highest level but it's not. He's a Mega level Digimon with two attacks, Venom Infusion which he fires from his eyes in a rainbow colored energy beam and Tyrant Savage where he slashes his enemies with his claws." Shiro tells them.
"More energy. I'm hungry." VenomMyotismon says.
"No problem, boss. There's all those people lying there waiting for ya." DemiDevimon says.
Back at the convention center.
"Myotismon. Lord and master." The people chant.
Back at the destroyed TV station.
"Remember to start your day off with a good breakfast." DemiDevimon says.
"I'll begin with a little snack." VenomMyotismon says as he sucked in winds, the bat being pulled in.
"Hey, hang on! What're you doing?!" DemiDevimon yells.
He was then pulled into VenomMyotismon's mouth and was swallowed up by the giant.
"He's going after everyone at the convention center." Hiroaki says as VenomMyotismon stomped over to them, heading off to the center.
"Pump it up, you guys!" Tai yells surrounded by orange aura.
"Digivolve!" Matt yells surrounded by blue aura.
"Go for it!" Shiro yells surrounded by gold aura.
"You heard them; let's do it." Garurumon says.
"Yo." Greymon nodded.
"Right." Coredramon says.
Tai's Digivice turns solid orange and his Crest of Courage symbol shoots out of his tag.
"Greymon digivolve to…MetalGreymon!"
Matt's his Digivice turns solid blue and shoots a beam through his tag causing the Crest of Friendship symbol to come out.
"Garurumon digivolve to…WereGarurumon!"
Shiro's Digivice to turn completely gold and shoots the Crest of Bravery symbol of his tag.
"Coredramon digivolve to…Wingdramon!"
"Just leave it to us." Wingdramon says.
"We'll take care of him." WereGarurumon says hopping onto Wingdramon as he takes off.
"I'll go first. Giga Blaster!" MetalGreymon fires two rockets at VenomMyotismon while Wingdramon and WereGarurumon attack from above.
"Exploding Sonic Lance! Garuru Kick!" The two Ultimate Digimon attack VenomMyotismon's head causing it cut his forehead open and these gross tentacles came out and wrapped WereGarurumon and Wingdramon up.
"Mega Claw!" MetalGreymon flew up and cuts them loose and catches WereGarurumon.
"Giga Blaster!" MetalGreymon's attack sends VenomMyotismon tumbling to the ground.
"Did it work?" Tai asks.
"More energy! I must feed!" VenomMyotismon says as he sat up from the smoke and debris falling around him.
"That answer your question?" Matt asks.
Their partners then came in over to them.
"Matt, Tai, Shiro. Go to the convention center and warn the others. Don't worry about us. We'll handle this clown." WereGarurumon says.
"All right, but just watch yourselves." Matt said.
Once we made it to the convention center, Tai ran in.
"Clear everyone out, now!" Tai yells as they saw the others just standing around.
"Huh?" They gasped.
They all then gathered outside so the others could see VenomMyotismon fighting MetalGreymon, Wingdramon, and WereGarurumon.
"I don't know how long they can hold him off." Tai says.
"Even if we had time, we couldn't move all these people." Jim says.
"You don't understand. We can never outrun him. We have to destroy him." Gatomon says making them look at her.
"You can count on me." Patamon says.
"Yeah, us too." Biyomon and Palmon says.
"Me three." Tentomon says.
"Hey, make that four." Gomamon says.
"And I'm five." Lunamon says.
"Uh, mm-mm. Patamon's the only Digimon I need to come with. The rest of you stay here." Gatomon says confusing everyone. "Nothing personal, I just want all of you to save up your strength. If my plan doesn't work, you'll all be needed." She says.
"Let's do what she says. She knows these bad Digimon better than anyone." Biyomon says.
"Excuse me, I don't mean to be a downer or anything, but how can any of us hope to stand up against that guy? He's bigger than most buildings." Mimi says.
"I've got a plan, like I said. Come on, Patamon, let's fly." Gatomon says as she ran off, the hamster bat following her.
"We're right behind you, Gatomon!" Tai calls as he, Matt, Shiro, and their dad follow as well as T.K. and Kari.
"Let's go, son." Masami says making Izzy look at his dad. "We're in this together, right?" He asks.
"Right." Izzy smiles.
"Patamon digivolve to…Angemon!"
Kari was then surrounded by pink aura causing her Digivice to turn all pink and the Crest of Light shoots out of her tag.
"Gatomon digivolve to…Angewomon!"
The two angels flew over the van as they went to join in on the fight.
"Angels? What's going on?" Yoshie asks.
"It's kind of complicated." Tentomon says.
"They digivolved, Mom. Angemon is the Champion evolved form of Patamon and Angewomon is the Ultimate form for Gatomon. You see? Well, trust me on this." Izzy says.
"It's nice to have outside interests, but I hope your school work hasn't suffered." Masami says.
"Dad, this is the fate of the planet we're dealing with. The survival of the human race. Don't worry; I can take a makeup test for anything I've missed." Izzy says.
"Venom Infusion!" VenomMyotismon shot out these lights that missed the dinosaur, werewolf, and dragon as they dodged, but the buildings were hit and were vaporized.
"I sure wish I brought the cam corder." Hiroaki gasped.
"Tyrant Savage!" VenomMyotismon slashed his claws at MetalGreymon and Wingdramon sending to the ground.
"Looks like trouble." WereGarurumon says as all three of them get pushed back as they de-digivolved into their Rookie forms.
"What happened to them?" Shiro asks.
"He must have drained them of their energy." Izzy says.
"Goodbye small fries." VenomMyotismon says as he was about to step on Agumon and Gabumon, but he was stopped by Angewomon and Angemon.
"Celestial Arrow! Hand of Fate!" The two angels fire their attacks pushing VenomMyotismon back a little.
"This won't be easy." Angemon says.
"Nobody ever said it would be Angemon." Angewomon says.
"I shall enjoy devouring you. Angel food in one of my favorites." VenomMyotismon said as Tai, Matt, and Shiro picked up their partners.
"I'm sorry, Matt. We tried." Gabumon says weakly.
"He was just too much for us." Agumon says.
"Even the three strongest of our group couldn't handle him." Dracomon says.
"Why is that monster so much bigger than the other Digimon?" Masami asks.
"Search me. Shiro what did you're Digivice say about him?" Izzy asks his best friend.
"It said that he was a Mega level Digimon." Shiro tells his best friend.
"You've gotta be kidding me, so he found a way to digivolve to another level higher than the Ultimate?" Izzy asks.
"That's not fair. It's like changing the rules in the middle of a game." Matt says.
Angemon and Angewomon continue to attack VenomMyotismon.
"Stop it you're tickling me. Now it's my turn." VenomMyotismon says.
"You can do it, Angemon!" T.K. yells.
"Go, Angewomon!" Kari calls.
"Wait a minute, the prophecy. That's it. Quick, Izzy, what did it say in there about angels?" Hiroaki asks.
"I'm beginning to grow bored with you." VenomMyotismon says.
"What does the prophecy say?" Yoshie asks.
VenomMyotismon sent out his attacks at the two angels, but they blocked them with their staff and wings.
"'Angels will shoot arrows of Hope and Light at the love ones of those they have been sent to protect and a Miracle will happen'. OK, if Angemon and Angewomon are the angels in the prophecy…" Izzy trailed off.
"So then who are the ones they've been sent to protect?" Masami asks.
"That must mean T.K. and Kari. The angels will shoot arrows at their loved ones." Izzy says.
"It's simple. Allow me to explain. Say I'm kind of like a Guardian Angel. Whose Guardian Angel am I? Yours and who do you love the most?" Tentomon asks.
"I was getting to that. My mom and dad, obviously." Izzy says.
"Exactly, but T.K. and Kari not only have moms and dads. They have something else too." Tentomon says.
"They have brothers." Masami says.
"In a word; bingo." Tentomon says.
"Why would you want them shooting arrows at their loved ones? Sounds dangerous to me." Izzy said.
"They're angels, Izzy. Maybe they're like Cupid. He was sort of an angel. When he shot arrows, they were arrows of love." Yoshie says.
"Mom, isn't that a little corny?" Izzy asks.
"It may be corny, but I buy it. All we've got to do is have Angemon and Angewomon shoot you guys with their arrows of love." Tentomon says.
"Hey let's not get hasty here." Izzy says.
"What do you think?" Matt asks.
"It's worth a shot." Tai says.
"Well, looks like we're getting shot at." Shiro says.
The children of Courage, Friendship, and Bravery sighed in frustration as they accepted this, then we all turned to their siblings.
"Kari." Tai calls.
"T.K." Matt and Shiro called.
"You sure you wanna?" The Child of Hope asks worried.
"Let's see these arrows of Hope and Light." Tai says.
"You two have got to get them to shoot at us." Matt says.
"They'll only do it if you tell them to." Shiro says.
"You really want them to shoot you?" Kari asks worried.
"What if you get, like, dead or something?" T.K. asks.
"Never happen, right?" Matt smiled as he shared a determined look with his brother and Tai.
"Right." Tai nodded.
"Right." Shiro nodded too
"OK." Kari sighed as she and T.K. pull out the Crest of Light and the Crest of Hope and turned to their angels to tell them the plan.
"Angewomon." Kari says.
"Angemon, listen up. I know this maybe sounds crazy, but shoot my brothers with your arrows." T.K. says as Angemon received two arrows.
"And you do the same with my brother, Angewomon." Kari says as Angewomon received a bow and a single arrow.
"He's right." Angemon says.
"Sounds crazy, but…" Angewomon trailed off.
"Wait, you sure about this?" Gabumon asks standing in between Agumon and Dracomon.
"Yeah, we're here to protect you guys not to get you killed." Dracomon says.
"What if that prophecy's all wrong?" Agumon asks.
"You guys want a miracle to happen or not?" Tai asks.
"Yeah, miracles require a little faith. Scared, Shiro?" Matt asks his brother standing in between him and Tai.
"I grew up on the streets for two years at the age of two, of course not." Shiro says.
"How about you Tai?" Matt asks.
"No, not at all. How about you, Matt?" Tai asks.
"Course not, piece of cake, but maybe I'll just…hang on to you guys to make sure you don't chicken out or anything." Matt says grabbing Shiro and Tai's hand.
"Yeah, right. We'll do the same for you, bro." Shiro says sensing Matt's fright.
"Yeah." Tai agrees.
Just then the Crests of Courage, Friendship, and Bravery started glowing orange, blue, and gold.
"One miracle…" Angemon says.
"Coming up." Angewomon says as she fires her arrow at Tai while Angemon throws his two arrows at Matt and Shiro.
Once they made contact the three of them started glowing different colors.
A pillar of orange aura shot up from Tai while a blue pillar of aura shot from Matt and a gold pillar shot out of Shiro.
Agumon began to glow an orange color with energy filled with Courage, while Dracomon began to glow a gold color with energy filled with Bravery, and Gabumon glow a blue color with energy filled with Friendship.
"Huh?" VenomMyotismon asks watching the event take place.
"Agumon warp-digivolve to…" Agumon shouts as the silhouettes of Greymon and MetalGreymon shot an orange beam that turned into a man-type Digimon with armor called Chrome Digizoid on his body and a shield on his back with the Crest of Courage on it and split right down the middle. "WarGreymon!"
"Dracomon warp-digivolve to…" Dracomon shouts as the silhouettes of Coredramon and Wingdramon shot a gold beam which turned into a huge red dragon body with huge red wings two times the size of Wingdramon's. The wings were made out of Chrome Digizoid with silver edges and gold tips. His tail grew in length with a gold tip at the end and his right arm turned into a black lance. "Examon!"
"Gabumon warp-digivolve to…" Gabumon shouts as the silhouettes of Garurumon and WereGarurumon shot a blue beam that turns into a Garurumon sized Digimon but was covered in an entire metal armor. It's tail was made of a metal blade and he had two beam-shaped wings from the slots which grew from its back. "MetalGarurumon!"
After the lights faded away, they all stared in awe and amazement at the three new Mega level Digimon.
"Whoa, cool." Tai says.
Author's Note: I know Examon isn't the true Mega form of Dracomon but I think he's better suited for Dracomon. And I know he's a Royal Knight but don't forget that he's also a newly born Mega so he doesn't have all his power yet like WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon do. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter.
