"Yeah. C'mon lil' lady." Jazz encouraged me. Finally I let them drag me out of the hangar and into the rec room, where I was seated on a sofa. Sunny and Sides hovered over me for the remainder of the night, until it was time to go to sleep. I fell into an uneasy recharge that night.
Chapter 38
I was about seven months pregnant, in human terms anyway. I was fourteen months in the Cybertronian pregnancy and only had about four more months to go. But anyway, today was the day of our wedding!
Last night, we had been separated. Jazz drove me to Mikaela's house, where we had a fun night. Although Sam and Mikaela had broken up a year ago, I still liked to hang out with her. After all the drama went down at Sam's college, they had a hard time trusting one another. Well really, it was Mikaela having such trust issues, but honestly could you blame her?
So anyway, we got to bed fairly early. She even let me speak with my mates on the phone. I fell asleep to the sound of their voices, and in the morning I found my phone still clutched in my hands. I laughed, but then had to get up and get ready for my wedding.
First things first, was the date I had with the shower. Then Mikaela shoved me into a bathrobe, and got me some breakfast. I was too nervous to eat anything, and Mikaela didn't really press the issue much. While I was picking at the tray, Mikaela was brushing and blow drying my hair. She put on the stereo and we jammed out to it.
"She looks lovely." Sarah's voice said, startling the both of us. I looked up and found her standing in the doorway. I smiled at her and she made her way over to me.
"Sarah!" I exclaimed. It was too difficult for me to get up and out of chairs at this point in time, so I just waved at her from my perch. She had a child, so she understood what I was going through.
"Hey, honey. How you doing?" She asked, giving me a once over. I gave her a wide smile.
"I'm alright. Nervous though." I admitted. She laughed.
"I can understand that feeling, all too well." She was motherly. She embodied what every daughter wanted a mother to feel like. I had to like Sarah; I doubted anyone just couldn't like her.
"You came to see me in my wedding dress?" I asked, letting the two women help me up from my chair. She smiled.
"I came to help you get ready for your wedding." She raised an eyebrow, making me grin. I nodded at her eagerly.
"Of course." I stated, letting Mikaela steer me in the general direction of the bathroom.
"The wedding dress is on the back of the door. Put it on!" Mikaela shouted at me. I rolled my eyes at this girl who was bossing me around.
I did put on the large white gown, which was gorgeous. It clung to my chest, and fell in folds to my ankles. My stomach was still visible, I doubted anything would make it not be soo visible. But at least, the dress itself wasn't too tight. The dress had lace covering it with little crystals sewn into the bodice as well as twinkling throughout the skirt of the gown itself. There were little cap sleeves, made completely of lace and crystals.
"Oh my, you look soo beautiful!" Sarah exclaimed, once I had come out of the bathroom to show them the gown on, now that it had been altered to my body shape.
"I still think I look like a huge albino whale," I stated, though I was smiling as I said it, instead of in tears like the last time. They looked at me relieved that my hormones weren't obviously in the right place to start bawling.
"Do you have something old? Something blue? Something borrowed?" Mikaela fired off at me. I looked at her, a little surprised at her intensity of following all the customs.
"I can take care of the something borrowed," Sarah spoke up, before digging a black velvet box out of her purse. I opened it up to reveal a tiara. It was beautiful, glinting in the light.
"Thank you Sarah!" I thanked my friend, who gave me a smile.
"I wore it at my wedding with Will. I thought you didn't have a tiara to wear, so I brought my own." She looked a little sheepish. I gathered her into a hug.
"I love it. Thank you for thinking of me." I broke away from her.
"And I do have something blue. Jazz gave me it, before he left last night." I told Mikaela, grabbing a beautiful blue bracelet. Mikaela helped me fasten it, and then she fixed the veil and tiara.
"And I can help you on the something old." Mikaela handed me a pair of diamond earrings. "My grandmother gave them to me, and I want you to wear them for your wedding."
Finally, the clock struck one. Mirage showed up with his red Ferrari, and the girls helped me into his interior. I waved at them, as Mirage pulled away. The girls got into the other cars, Mudflap and Jolt. Then we made our way to the base.
The ceremony was beautiful. I didn't trip or anything walking down the aisle. Ratchet gave me away to my mates, who stood on either side of me. They both slid rings onto my finger, one on the right, Sunny onto my left finger.
It wasn't until later that I realized the rings were glowing with a pulsating light. When I asked my husbands, they told me it was because they had Ratchet cut off a small part of their sparks, in order to give me a piece of it. I kissed them soundly after they revealed that to me.
"Come on." Sunny drew me to my feet.
"Time for our dance." Sideswipe led me onto the dancefloor. I waited patiently for the music to start and let Sideswipe sway with me back and forth.
Not a stitch of makeup, I wake up
Feeling less than great
I think I'm crazy, from lazy
I'm always running late
And you come home right on time
Just to see me
You see me at my worst
And I'm thinking you're thinking
I don't know why I married her
But you say
You're beautiful, so beautiful
Oh and you hold me so tight
You're beautiful, so beautiful
And I can't speak or I'll cry
Oh I don't deserve you
Cause I always hurt you
Then you'll say the perfect thing
You're beautiful, so beautiful to me
Then Sunstreaker took me from Sideswipe's hold. He began to sway me back and forth on the dancefloor.
You take care of business and listen
And make time just for me
And I'm busy rushing and hushing
Just so I can speak
And you roll your eyes that look into mine
And tell me just to wait
And I'm thinking you're thinking
She's crazy but I love her anyway
But you say
You're beautiful, so beautiful
Oh and you hold me tight
You're beautiful, so beautiful
And I can't speak or I'll cry
Oh I don't deserve you
Cause I always hurt you
Then you'll say the perfect thing
You're beautiful, so beautiful
Then Sideswipe wrapped his arms around me from behind while I was still held in Sunny's arms.
I am selfish, self-absorbed
Narcissistic, is this normal?
Running late, such a mess
Too many details, where's my dress?
I wear a watch to conquer the world
Where's my keys, the tanks not full
I get in shape, it's hard to breathe
Do you love me, oh you love me
But I don't deserve you
Cause I always hurt you
Then you'll say the perfect thing
You're beautiful, so beautiful
You're beautiful, so beautiful
Oh and you hold me tight
You're beautiful, so beautiful
And I can't speak or I'll cry
Oh I don't deserve you
Cause I always hurt you
Then you'll say the perfect thing
You're beautiful, so beautiful to me
You're so beautiful
So so beautiful
You're so beautiful to me
You're so beautiful
So so beautiful
You're so beautiful to me
My mates whispered the last six lines into my ears. If I wasn't crying at the choice of the song by then, right at this moment I was definitely crying. When the song ended I gave each of my mates a huge kiss.
"I definitely love the both of you so very much!" I whispered, feeling overwhelmed.
A/N: And the song is Plumb's beautiful! Enjoy.. . . This is just part one of the wedding. More goodies yet to come!
