SonicANIME2010 here, bringing in another chapter to Lyrical Record, but before I do that, I have an announcement to go through. After this weekend I may have a little hiatus on my fanfictions to spend some time with my grandparents down in Southern California. I'm heading down there with my parents along with my sister because she's going to be flying out to Australia to spend a few months with her finace. After my parents leave, I'll spend a week or two in SoCal and fly back up to Utah. The "hiatus" depends on if I can bring my laptop down there and internet connection. I'll see what happens, but assume the worst. Now that I've got that handled, let's go back to this chapter.
[TSAB Administrated World #1 "Mid-Childa]
[Streets]
[Time: 1630 hours (4:30pm)]
[BGM: "Inflexible Determination" Final Fantasy X]
The late-afternoon sun dipped behind a sudden cover of clouds and the streetlights turned on as Sonic and Nove found each other in a confrontation with the "Hegemon Ingvalt", who stared down at the two from her vantage point on a light post. If the duo wished to have a closer look at the new girl's face, they would have little luck doing so as she had it covered in a visor.
"Of course, out of all the luck, on the day I say that I'd be checking out early whether we find the suspect or not" The blue hedgehog grumbled at the irony and how the lovely little thing called fate, and no not his wife, loves to just mess with him, "Here she comes and confronts us!"
"She did save us the trouble of looking for her" Nove noted, "She gets credit for that, though only that"
"Excuse my interruption" Hegemon interrupted the duo of investigators, speaking in a surprisingly rather polite matter, "But there are a few things I want to ask and make sure of"
"I know what you're going to ask" Sonic countered, "I don't think you're gonna like my answer though, and even then, it's not like I'm just going to tell you for free, I'm no baka!"
"If you really want to ask something then remove that visor and name yourself" Nove requested, "You'd look suspicious otherwise"
"Excuse me then" The girl lowered the visor over her eyes, fully revealing her face, which appeared to be very similar to a girl in her mid-to-late teens, not quite at adulthood yet, the most distinguishable trait about her were the eyes. She was heterochromatic, her right eye was purple and her left eye was blue.
"I am a proper master of the Kaiser Arts, Heidi E.S Ingvalt" The girl introduced herself, "I am calling myself "The Emperor"
Heidi Ingvalt leapt down from her vantage point on the light post to the ground, allowing of a more level line of sight between her and the targets she wished to probe for answers. She didn't appear to be giving off any sense of aggression, which allowed her targets to ease their guard if only a little.
"You're the one they've been talking about" Sonic noted, "The "Hegemon" I believe you've also been naming yourself, derived from the Ancient Belkan king from the past warring ages of the Saint King."
"I won't deny that" the greenish-silver haired girl replied, almost surprised by the knowledge of one of her targets, though she hid the surprise well in her regal tone, "I'm surprised that you know of that. You're more knowledgeable than I first thought"
"Heh heh.. Live here long enough and you pick up a few things" Sonic countered with a confident snicker.
"What I want to ask is regarding your friends" Heidi asked of the two, "The Clone of the Sainkt King Olivie and the former Dark Ruler of Galea"
Sonic frowned slightly at the mention of the titles belonging to Vivio and Ixpellia respectively, knowing full well that both girls would rather leave all that behind them. He never seemed to lose his cool. His glance shifted to Nove, noticing she clenched her fist in frustration. The blue blur sent a mental word of the wise, 'Nove, keep your temper, she's just trying to bait you into a response.'
"You two know the whereabouts of both of them" the girl said in a tone that left little room for argument.
"Never heard of them" Nove gave a negative reply, her fists clenched in frustration as she just glared at the strange girl, "I don't know of any Clone of the Saint King or a Dark King. Whom I really know are only two little girls who are doing their best to live their lives"
"I understand" Ingvalt nodded, making no effort to leave just yet "I will find my answers elsewhere"
"You can look" Sonic cut in from behind her; he wouldn't take the chance of the suspect attempting to flee, "But I can guarantee that if you ask anyone else they'd give you that same response. Past is the past, leave it that way"
"There is still a few more things I'd like to make sure of" Heidi suddenly changed the topic of her interest, looking between both hedgehog and cyborg, finally deciding to lock her gaze on Nove, "Your fists or my fists. I wish to know which are stronger"

2nd Memory, Sacred Heart (Pt2) Sonic vs Ingvalt
[Sidewalk. Mid-Childa residential district]
[BGM: "Inflexible Determination" Final Fantasy X]
Heidi and Nove stared down one another in a semi-confrontational style. The Hegemon had challenged Nove to a duel to test one another's strength. Sonic, watching the confrontation unfold, sighed a bit when he noticed Nove's emotions slightly off a bit and decided to intervene.
"Oy! Nove!" the hedgehog yelled out and in an instant he was directly in front of her, "Let me handle this one."
"Sonic, you know as well as I do that challenges like these aren't just for anyone to interrupt" Nove attempted to argue back, "She challenged me, so I should be the one who fights her."
"Actually" Heidi called to the duo, "I had planned on challenging the hedgehog later, but if he wants to fight me now, who am I to object as it still gets one of my goals completed"
"You're also a bit on edge too Nove. Volatile emotions tend to lead to mistakes and those can cost you" Sonic added in his retort, "Besides, don't you have another match tomorrow?"
"Eh?" Nove blinked, then suddenly realized what her partner was talking about, "Oh, right, I almost forgot about her."
"Let me handle this one" Sonic said, not leaving much room for argument, "You can watch and see what she's capable of."
"Hai.." in defeat, Nove sighed, she had a sinking feeling she wouldn't win that argument. She withdrew to the side of the street, making sure she was out of the way of the two combatants, she also took the blue box that Sonic was holding on for safe keeping "At least this let me have a look at what he's been working on lately"
[VS Hegemon Ingvalt]
[BGM: "Last Hunters" Final Fantasy XIII-2]
With that, Sonic and Ingvalt stared down at one another. The hedgehog was definitely quite a bit smaller than the human teen, but he was used to the size differences, so it didn't matter much.
"May I ask that you wear protective clothing or have a weapon?" Heidi asked politely
"Don't need them" the hedgehog shrugged, stretching a bit, "I'm used to having to throw a few fisticuffs in Bureau issued suits and weapons just aren't my style."
"Is that so?" Ingvalt appeared to be a bit puzzled by the hedgehog's words and reasoning.
"Heh.. still have plenty to learn" Sonic wagged his finger, "Now that I look, you're still just a kid. Why are you doing stuff like this?"
"I want to know strength" the teen replied.
"Well, now that's not very smart girly" The hedgehog chided as he readied himself into a compact battle stance with his knees slightly bent like he was almost bouncing "Strength isn't everything. All the strength in the world won't help if you can't hit the target"
Heidi watched as the blue hedgehog suddenly disappeared in a light blue flash and before she knew it, she found herself blocking a sudden right fist strike as the blue hedgehog appeared right in front of her. Fortunately for her, the blue hedgehog was relying more on the momentum he got from his trademark speed to power his attack, so when the strike was blocked, his momentum was stopped. At the same time, Sonic also took notice of this; and at close range, curled quickly into a ball spin-dashed off the top of her head, allowing the blue hedgehog to not only get some distance between him and the girl, but also give her a little taste of the concrete. The attack worked to little success as the Hegemon appeared almost unfazed, if only a bit surprised by the attack.
'Well that was unexpected. She only had less than a second to react with my speed and she still blocked my attack. Looks like she wasn't kidding, I'll have to take this up a level' the hedgehog mentally observed. With Blue Star imprinted on a bracelet on his left wrist, Sonic called out to it, "Blue star! Set up!"
"Jahowl" the device answered back and in a bright flash of light, the blue hedgehog's clothes changed from the dress suit uniform of a TSAB investigator his barrier jacket. Overall his barrier jacket was the same as when he first started as a mage, nothing on except for a pair of long gloves and boots that matched his traditional red and white shoes with sky-blue trims. Anklets and bracelets with blue gems appeared on his wrist and feet.
"So this is your protective clothing." The Hegemon stood and observed. She then expressed some relief and politeness in her tone, "Arigatou gozaimasu.."
"So you're really serious about wanting to know strength?" Sonic asked, once again readying himself in a battle stance.
"I am serious" Heidi replied, standing in the same position she left herself in after blocking the hedgehog's attack, putting quite the amount of distance between the two, "I want to become much stronger than I am now"
"Yare yare.. then stop running around challenging guys to street duels and practice normally" Sonic chided, "If you don't want to turn out to be some brawling idiot, then just stop here. I can show you a nice place where you can practice freely and get stronger like you wish"
"I thank you for your kindness, however the strength I want to know… the meaning of my existence is…" Suddenly the teen took a battle stance, "It's not on a public stage."
'She's taking a stance from that far away? Could she be aerial? Middle range?' Sonic mentally observed with a bit of a frown. His thoughts were interrupted as he saw Heidi suddenly charge right up to him and thrust her right fist forward. Sonic could barely blink and immediately used his own speed to avoid her attack with a quick side-step.
'Whoa! A charge! She's fast!' Sonic observed in his thoughts as he found himself dodging blow after blow from the Hegemon. He couldn't keep dodging forever though as his opponent's attacks, while swift and not as fast as Sonic, they were more deliberate and harder to read. The hedgehog finally had to resign himself to take a blow and allow her to score a fist strike in his abdomen.
"Ugh!" Sonic winced, but had to take the attack to open up room to move. The blue blur quickly leapt backwards and landed on the ground a few meters back, "Just don't let up, do ya?"
"I will defeat every king with great powers so that they won't bring destruction to the land of Belka" Ingvalt declared in a loud shout, "That is the thing I must do"
"The HELL with that!" Sonic barked back loudly, his fists clenched in frustration, the thing he said about a cool head didn't quite apply to the situation now, "The ancient kings have been dead for a long time. Their descendants are living peacefully now! Leave it like that!"
"If the king is weak" Ingvalt replied a bit coldly, "Then I'll have to kill her"
"You damn IDIOT!" Sonic roared, losing his temper. His eyes suddenly turned crimson red and a bright golden light engulfed him, blinding both Nove and Ingvalt for a few brief moments. When the light subsided, the golden Super Sonic floated there, giving a glare to the Hegemon that made her cringe a bit.
"The last war of the Belka, the Saint King's war.. even the land of Belka itself!" Heidi heard the hedgehog's voice yell out as she watched him power up quite a bit. She had attempted to move, but could not, as she suddenly found herself snared to her place by bindings, "All have ended a long time ago!"
With powerful speed and a deliberate motion, the golden hedgehog rushed forward and unleashed a point blank spin-dash attack followed up by a devastatingly powerful axe-kick. The power driven from not only the momentum of the spin-dash, but also the boost of the Chaos Emeralds used to power the Super form. Super Sonic thought for sure he'd get her, but was given quite the surprise when his leg was grabbed shortly after his kick landed.
"It's not over" Ingvalt spoke as suddenly bindings appeared on Sonic's leg and then wrapped around his body, binding his arms to his side.
'A counter bind! Something's wrong with her..' Sonic thought to himself, unable to move because of the bindings, 'To sacrifice her defenses just to plan this bind!'
"This is nowhere near what I'm really capable of" Hegemon spoke as she raised her hand up high, then with a deliberate motion and a loud shout of "Emperor's Vacuum Judgment Strike!" she chopped straight downward and landed a harsh knife-handed blow on Sonic's back, causing a massive explosion of light and also knocking the golden hedgehog straight into the ground with a harsh impact.
[BGM Pause]
Feeling a tad bit disappointed from her victory, Ingvalt turned her back on the grounded hedgehog, which was still in his super form, but not moving yet.
"Weakness is a sin" she said as she started to slowly walk away, "Because, when you're weak, you can't protect anyone."
The teen passed by Nove on her way out, her tone was very polite when she addressed the cyborg, "Forgive me, but I'm afraid our match will have to wait until later"
"You take too much for granted" Nove retorted, pointing her thumb back to the still golden hedgehog, "There's no way you could have beaten Super Sonic that easily. While he's transformed, he's practically invulnerable."
"What?!" Ingvalt seemed quite a bit unnerved, 'N-no way! His attack was a severe blow to endure!'
[BGM Resumes]
"She's right" Super Sonic's confident voice shocked the teen in surprise. Ingvalt suddenly turned her head to see the golden hedgehog stand right back up, appearing almost unfazed from the attack if only bearing a few marks from the ground slam, "So aside from giving me a little taste of the ground, which let me tell you, it is not all that great, cement isn't the best tasting morsel around, your attack did diddly. Now it's my turn!"
'Now I really need to flee! Get home, rest…' Ingvalt started to sweat, but before she could try to move, her body gave out. She couldn't move, 'Shimatta! I can't move! This body is powerful but my mind is still too weak to hold on to it for this long!'
The golden hedgehog powered up and charged straight for the immobilized teen in his spin-dash. He scored a powerful strike in the girl's mid-section and then used the momentum and power to follow up his attack with a powerful backflip kick that sent her up into the sky. Super Sonic then took pursuit and flew up just until he was just above the teen. With a point blank range, Sonic unleashed a powerful beam of chaos that sent the teen straight down to the ground with a powerful impact that dented the cement this time and made some dust.
[The Final Blow!]
[BGM: "Victory Fanfare ~Cosmos" Dissidia Final Fantasy]
Sonic touched down, returning to his normal cool blue form just as the dust was beginning to settle. He and Nove looked over the newly made pothole and waited for it to finish. There was no doubt that the Hegemon would still be in the middle.
"Why is it that every time you use those emeralds, hours later some construction crew has to come out and fix the potholes?" Nove deadpanned, "Does the concept of a "clean" fight mean anything?"
"Says the Combat Cyborg who single-handedly forced the Bureau to close a whole highway for repairs just because you "overdid" it on pursuing a suspect" The hedgehog countered, brushing the dirt and cement pieces off his gloves and shoes.
"One time!" Nove barked back, "Just one time!"
Their ramblings were halted as a bright flash of light emitted from the pothole for a few brief moments and subsided. When the dust settled, both hedgehog and cyborg were exasperated by what they saw.
In the middle of the crater was a young girl, just about the age of 12 judging from her looks and size. She had the same hair color and style as the Hegemon and all in all, looked just like a younger version of the teen Sonic had just fought. The girl was in a white, frilly summer dress with very short sleeves, a white choker on her neck, straps on the top of her chest just below that in an x shape, and below that were two buttons, and on the girl's feet were sandals. She also had a large, red bow tied to her hair behind her head to the left side.
"Another little girl with an Adult form?!" Sonic asked in exasperation, "Great.."
Nove jumped into the pothole to check on the girl's condition, "She's just unconscious, let's get her out of here."
"Hai hai.." Sonic agreed and watched as his cyborg partner in investigations picked up the girl and held her over her right shoulder.
Nove jumped from the pothole and gave Sonic back the light blue box he had her hold, "You carry this and I'll carry her?"
"Sure" Sonic nodded, then winced a bit, "Oy.. for a kid she certainly packs a punch.. If I wasn't transformed I might have lost that one.."
"I don't think she was bluffing either when she said that this wasn't her full potential" Nove added, "Let's just hope we can have a bit more reasoning with her when she wakes"
"We'll take her to my house" Sonic informed the cyborg with a bit of a snicker, "Well if anything this will be interesting."
Nove nodded in agreement, with that the duo left for the hedgehog's home. They both had a sinking feeling that they'd be creating quite the shock when they arrived.

[BGM: "Miscasting" Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A's]
To say that Nanoha, Fate, Alicia and Vivio were surprised and a tad bit concerned over seeing Sonic, looking like he was brushed up in a fight, and Nove, holding a strange 12-year old girl, in front of them would be quite the understatement of the day. The four of them were shocked, enough so that the little blue box that Sonic had brought home wasn't even noticed just yet.
"Sonic-kun…" Nanoha asked, her eye twitching a bit in exasperation and a little bit of annoyance, "You got into a fight at work again?"
"Well technically we were off duty" the blue hedgehog gave a cheeky cute smile in reply, "Nove and I were just looking around, on our way home"
"And you just happened to find this girl knocked out?" Fate raised her eyebrow almost in a lecturing tone, "Or is there something we need to know?"
"Well it's a bit of a long story" Nove finally had her own say
"But first" Sonic said as he brought attention to the box he was holding all this time. He held it out for Vivio and Alicia to hold, "A present for you both"
"Eh?" Both girls blinked and then opened the box to reveal what was inside. There was a cute little plush bunny and what looked like a sky-blue triangle, "What are they?"
Vivio looked at the bunny in her hand and watched with great surprise as it suddenly floated in mid-air and waved. A bit startled, the young blonde hid behind her mothers, "I-it can move!"
"Mary-san gave it some functionality it seems" Nanoha giggled abit, "You don't have to worry, it's your device, Vivio-chan. It took a while to get your data, but this is yours now."
"Alicia" Fate added pointing to the triangle in her "daughter's" hands, "This is your device"
"Really!?" The duo asked rather loudly in surprise.
"Hai!" Nanoha confirmed, her tone surprisingly shifted quick to one of happiness, "Congratulations!"
"All you guys have to do is give them names" Sonic noted, while in the background, Nove managed to sneak the unconscious girl she carried over to the couch and laid her on it.
Vivio and Alicia immediately rushed outside, a belkan triangle sigil and mid-childan circle appearing under their respective feet and their devices in hand.
"Confirming master" the bunny declared in a female voice as the rainbow-colored belkan triangle gleamed brightly, "Takamachi Vivio"
"Confirming master" The blue triangle device spoke in a male voice as the light blue mid-childan circle also glowed brighter, "Testarossa-Takamachi Alicia"
"Register name" Vivio said to her device, "pet name: Cris, formal name: Sacred Heart"
"Register name" Alicia also requested of her new device, "Formal name: "Cherished Memory"
"Yes, my master" both devices confirmed and performed their tasks. Once completed the devices chimed out a very positive declaration, "Ready for use, my master"
"Alicia-chan" Vivio asked her adopted sister, "Wanna show our parents what we were practicing?"
"Hai" the other blonde agreed, there was a look of mischief in her expression as she answered.
"Sacred Heart / Cherished Memory" Both Vivio and Alicia called out at the same time to their respective devices, "Set up!"
Bright flashes of light emitted from both devices and engulfed the duo, transforming them with magic. When the light settled, which lasted only a few seconds; Alicia and Vivio appeared very different. Both girls changed into barrier jackets, Vivio's looked the same as hers from the Saint's Cradle and Nocturnus incidents, a black body-suit that fit tightly over her body, white jacket with blue trims and a black waist-cape with some armored plates along her waist, black gloves with blue orbs on the top of her hands. Alicia's jacket looked very similar to Fate's Impulse, which was a dark-blue coat over a black swim-suit outfit with blue trims, over the coat was a long white cloak, she had also worn armor plated boots and gloves.
As shocking enough to see the girls transform, the real BOOM of a surprise came when everyone noticed that the changes just didn't occur to their outfits, but the girl's bodies as well! Both blondes had definitely appeared to age up quite a number of years, at least to the age of 19 in terms of how their body looked, if the curvy figures and not-so-modest bust was concerned. After the transformation, everyone was silent.

[Omake: Vivio and the title of "Majesty"]
It was no surprise to anyone that Vivio Takamachi, clone of the Saint King Olivie, didn't really appreciate the continued politeness directed at her and the formalities. Many time she was called "Majesty" by the combat cyborgs just for fun. Otto, Deed and Sein all had their fun with that. Vivio had often told her friends from school, Corona and Rio about it.
"Doesn't being called "majesty" annoy you anymore, Vivio-chan?" Corona asked
"A little" Vivio replied with some annoyance to her tone, "At first I was like "Special treatment is forbidden"! and "stop calling me majesty!".. eventually I just got used to it."
"Seeing her blush though every time was entertaining" Alicia added, "She looks so cute when she's pouting. The "royal highness" as the others called her has a cute side to her."
"Oy, Alicia-chan!" Sure enough, Vivio blushed an pouted a bit, "Don't call me "highness!"
"Gomen" Alicia giggled, "Couldn't resist."
"When we all have our devices, let's have a couple of sparring matches" Rio announced, "I wanna see how strong everyone is!"
"Hai!" everyone agreed.
