Chapter 38: Twin Brothers Well, Twin Brother and Sister Now

Recap: When Ulquiorra opened the door, he was greeted with something unexpected. There stood Gin, but he wasn't alone. He looked from the stranger to Kai, who picked up his book in curiosity and began reading it. He looked back into the doorway at Gin and the stranger. "Gin, is this a joke you're playing?" Gin waved him off. "Why would I play such a cruel joke on you? Where's Kai? She needs to see." Ulquiorra moved to the side letting Gin pull the stranger inside.
Kai looks up from the book and he looks from Gin and the stranger to Ulquiorra. "Ulquiorra, what's going on?"

"I have no idea, Kai." The stranger was the splitting image of Kai in his male form, but with magenta colored eyes, no piercings, and his hair stopped slightly past his shoulders. He wore white long sleeve shirt that stopped at his fingertips, blue jeans, and white sneakers. He twirled his fingers around each other and looked at the ground. "Isn't it obvious? This is your older brother, Kurai. Aizen found him." Kai tilted her head in curiosity. "I have a brother?"
"Hey, Kai! Are you ready?" Nelappears with Grimmjow in tow and wearing a white skull cap on his head. Both stopped at the sight of Gin and the stranger. It was quiet for a minute until Nel decided to squeal and jump up and down. "He's so cute." Nel ran over to the look alike and hugged him. "I didn't know Kai had a brother. They're both sooooooo cute." Ulquiorra struggled not to roll his eyes, but Grimmjow didn't. "Nel." He warned. Nel pouted. "He's too cute to let go of."
"But you're killing him." She looked at Kurai's face. It was very pale and his eyes nearly rolled in the bak of his head from lack of breathing. "Uh oh." She quickly let go and he fell on his butt. "Sorry." Nel grabbed his shoulders and lifted him up until he was back on his feet. He swayed a little, but he regained his balance. "I'm just so happy. It's two of you. Twin brothers well, twin brother and sister for now." Nel laughed, but everyone else was at a loss for words.
"Grimmjow, I've calmed her down, bbut she's still upset so make sure you try not to…." Szayel stopped at the end of his sentence too look at his surroundings. He knew something was off, so he scanned the room until his eyes landed on Kurai, who looked at him quite nervously. Szayel maneuvered himself around everyone until he stood in front of the stranger. He bends over so that they're eye to eye and readjust his glasses. "There was no twin brother in Kai's report. What's going on here?" Gin's smile widened. "I've got another surprise for you, Kai." Gin backed out of the room and turned his head to the left.
"Well come on. You came all this way, you can't turn back now." Gin walked away from the doorframe, but came back soon with someone holding a few boxes. This stranger was older with hazel colored eyes and long white hair that stopped at his waist. He wore a white button down shirt with the first two buttons undone, black jeans, and no shoes. He smiled brightlyat the bunch and his eyes brightened at the sight of Kai on the sofa. "Hello Kai, it's nice to finally meet you." Kai smiled and waved. "Hi, who are you?"
"My name is Akira Raizen and this is Kurai Raizen. I'm your father and this is your older brother." It was rather quiet for a few minutes. "Well, say something." Gin suggested.
"What the fuck?!" Akira smiled at Grimmjow's blunt and vulgar answer. Szayel stood up straight folded his arms. "You owe an explanation. All of you do."
"Yeah, but let's go out. Ichigo wants to be alone." Grimmjow suggested while scratching the back of his head. Akira set the boxes on the floor. "Gin told us everything, so we brought you both presents. Congratualtions." Kai stood up and headed over to the two, but Ulquiorra wrapped an arm around Kai's waist and held her close.
"Don't take this the wrong way, but…." Szayel started. "We don't trust you." Ulquiorra finished. "That's fine. I'll answer all of your questions."

"Welcome to Taisetsu. It's a pleasure to see you Mr. Raizen." The waitress bowed. "If you would follow me." As they walked through the building, the noticed everything was white. "Hey, Ulquiorra." The pale man looked at Grimmjow. "Is it just me or does this seem familiar?"
"No…it isn't just you."
"Why is everything white?" Grimmjow asked. "Couldn't agree on a color, so we left it alone as part of the theme." Akira answered as they stopped in front of a pair of double doors. "Would you like a booth separate from everyone else?" Akira smiled. "Yes, please."

Everyone sat at an all-white booth that was as big as a regular sized bedroom. The booth was closed off by a door with a black dragon on the door. In the middle of the table was a floating glass ball that changed colors every minute. "Why is this place called Taisetsu?" Gin asked. "As some of you might know, taisetsu means cherished. There are so many unhappy people in the world, so I thought why not find a way to make people happy? So I built this place for everyone. When they come here, they replay the memories that made them the happiest, or their upmost desires."
"Really?" Kai eyes tilted his head in curiosity. "Yeah right. There's no way." Grimmjow declared folding his arms and shaking his head. "Grimmjow, put your hand on the glass ball and see for yourself." Grimmjow rolled his eyes and placed his hand on the surface of the ball. The glass ball changed blue and white panther appeared. The image soon projected off the glass and shown on Grimmjow's forehead.
Everyone watched in curiosity. As the image moved from his forehead to the ceiling above them. It grew until it covered the ceiling. Soon an image was displayed. It was young Grimmjow tackling male Ichigo to the ground. "What the hell, Grimmjow?!" Grimmjow grabbed something out of Ichigo's hand and ran off with it. "Dammit, Grimmjow! Give it back!" Ichigo stood up and ran after him.
Grimmjow quickly removed his hand and the image disappeared. "Miss the old times, huh?" He glared at Akira and turned away. "We can discuss business later. We're here to discuss Kai and you relationship with him." Ulquiorra reminded him. "Straight to the point as usual I assume, Ulquiorra. Fine, I'll tell you. Yes as I've said before, Kurai is his brother. They were born with different mothers, that is why he is half human and Kurai is full human."
"How is that possible? Kai'" Szayel yelled more than asked. " Actually, his human father was killed. I am very much alive. You see… I had two lovers, demon and human. Originally, it was Kurai's mother who was supposed to have both children. She died giving birth to Kurai. Luckily, Mina, Kai's mother was my lover then and was still alive. In mated with her as well. When Kurai's mother died, whatever was left of her was transferred into Mina and she got pregnant. Then nine months later."
"If that's true, why wait so long to come see Kai?" Akira pouted and foleded his arms. "I was arrested for having relations with Mina while I was with Kurai's mother."
"Why do you call Kai's mother Mina and just say Kurai's mother?" Ulquiorra asked. "Cuz she's a bitch and I hate her!" Akira answered childishly.
