Riley sits in her bedroom window thinking about her date with Lucas. She hears Maya come into her room through her bedroom window.

"How was your date?" The blonde rebel asks.

"I don't know." Riley admits. "How was your date?"

Maya remembers Farkle and him kissing her hand and she sighs. "I don't know."

Riley nods a second and gives a small laugh as they sit in silence.

"Do we know anything?" Riley asks innocently.

Maya holds up her hand. "Ring power."

Riley holds her hand. "Ring power."

"Thunder."

"Lightning."

"A little scared." Maya admits.

"Me too." Riley says quietly.

"So, you're really doing this, huh Riles?" Maya's voice is soft as they sit in Riley's bedroom window. "You're really leaving?"

"Yeah." Riley's voice is hesitant. "I am."

The boxes that lay at their feet and surround Riley's childhood room answer for her. They were hard enough to pack, but seeing them and realizing that Maya was losing her best friend for a while was hitting her hard. Her eyes scan the room and she swallows thickly.

"So . . . Now what do we do?" Maya looks at her best friend for an answer. "Do we just . . . Say our goodbyes and let it be that?"

Riley looks at Maya. "I don't know."

Maya glances at the ground and fiddles with her hands. She was completely blank on what to say. She had already cried, and she refused to cry in front of Riley, but she was failing herself. She watches as a tear lands on the floor. Her head shoots up and she sniffs loudly.

"You know . . . I think this window is broken, Riles." Her voice is broken and the look she gives Riley makes her friend start to tear up.

"No, don't." Riley sniffs. "If you start to cry . . . Then I'll start to cry and I won't be able to stop."

Maya looks at the ground. "You're doing this for you, right? No one else?"

"Yes." Riley sits up straight. "It's only for me. I know . . . I'm being selfish -"

"Riley . . . You're the least selfish person I know." Maya stands up slowly. "If anything . . . I'm the selfish one." Riley stares up at her with tears in her eyes. "I want you to stay. I'm scared of you going out there and never coming back . . . I'm scared I'm going to lose my best friend . . . I mean, we've always been there for each other Riley." Maya takes a seat next to her friend. "What am I going to do without you here? Who am I supposed to turn to when I can't go to my parents or Andrew or -"

"You can always call me, Maya. Right?" Riley asks. "Even though I'm leaving . . . You'll be there, right? Because Maya . . . I'm going to need you a lot."

Maya wraps her arms around Riley instantly as Riley breaks into tears. Here she was, Maya's best friend crying because she was scared and Maya wasn't going to be by her side anymore. Maya understood why Riley was doing this, but it didn't mean that it didn't hurt at all. In fact, it was probably the worst feeling Maya had experienced since Sally's death.

"Of course, Riles." Maya strokes the girl's hair. "Always." She frowns as Riley lets in a shaky breath.

Riley pulls back from her friend they give each other weak smiles. "Are you coming to the party tomorrow afternoon?"

"Of course." Maya says as she pulls on her winter coat. "I wouldn't miss it for the world."

She heads out into the grey evening, snow falling lightly.

"Maya," Katy says as she enters the dining area of Topanga's. "Are you going to be alright, baby girl?"

Maya blows on her steaming drink slowly and she nods. "Of course. Why wouldn't I be?"

"Well . . ." Katy slides her way into a chair and she looks at her oldest. She folds her hands in front of her and clears her throat. "Maya, I haven't seen you this upset in a while. I'm just wanting to check on you, that's all."

Maya glances at her mother and she gives her a small frown. "Riley's leaving tomorrow . . . She's like my sister and she's leaving. She's going off towards Texas with Lucas and there's nothing I can say or do to change her mind. She's taking on the world . . . Only this time, she's going to be on her own. She's going to be checking out of New York City and is going to be looking at the world and living her life. It's -"

"It's just now you're not a big of a part of it as you once were." Katy finishes.

"Yeah." Maya sighs.

Katy reaches across the table and takes ahold of her daughter's hand. "Maya Patricia Hannigan . . . You are the biggest part of that girl's life. You two as close as two friends can get, and just because one is leaving it doesn't mean that you are any less important to her now than you were before. Remember, you always have your father and I and Andrew here for you. We're always here, and Riley will be there too . . . Just farther away. Do you understand what I'm trying to say to you?"

Maya nods and the two share a glance of locked eyes for a second.

"Katy!" Maya and Katy snap their heads to see Shawn rushing in with a laughing Alex in his arms. It looked like Shawn had been running. Katy stood up concerned. "Katy! You will not believe what happened! The. Most. Amazing. Thing."

Katy looks furious at her husband and places her hands on her hips. "Uh - huh. Shawn, were you running with our baby in the snow?"

"Maybe." Shawn pants.

"Shawn!" Katy growls. "You could've fallen or worse! You could've killed our baby if you fell. Was it so important that you had to endanger our baby's life -"

"But he's fine!" Shawn protests. He glances at his son and beams. "Look at him!"

Katy throws her arms out infront of him. "Give me our son." Katy rests Alex on her hips and frowns. "Was Daddy being stupid for running with you down here in the snow and almost killing you?" She says in her baby talk.

"Oh com'on, Katy. You're making it sound like I almost killed him." Shawn sighs. "The kid is practically glowing -"

"His nose and ears are read, Shawn."

Shawn sighs. "Alright, I'm sorry . . . Now can I tell you the most amazing thing that happened?" Katy waits. "Alex Chet Hunter just said another word!" He beams. Katy's mouth falls open in shock and she looks at her son.

"What did he say?!"

"Momma." Shawn grins. "I swear, Kate. He said it and I heard him and -"

"Did you my big boy?!" Katy grins at her son. "You're getting so big!" She places a kiss on her son's head and goes to stand by Shawn, who wraps an arm around his wife lovingly.

Shawn looks over and sees Maya heading outside. "Hey, where do you think you're going?"

Maya freezes in her spot. "Uh . . . I have to get home."

Shawn nudges his head over to his family. "Com'on. You're not in that much f a rush that we can't all have a little group hug."

"Dad -"

Maya stops her sentence as Shawn glares at her. She quickly walks over to her family and stands on the other side of Shawn. As they embraced with her family she felt a feeling of warmth surrounding her. With Riley leaving she knew everything was going to be okay.

"This is just too real." Maya sighs as she walks into Topanga's the next morning with Andrew at her side. "Just seeing the place like this makes it all come together. It makes me realize it's finally here."

Topanga's diner was closed for the whole day and Andrew and Maya had arrived early to help with decorations. Katy had made a cake and it was sitting on the counter in a box. Maya had painted a banner that said, Good Luck Riley & Lucas!

"Alright, let's do this." Maya and Andrew start to pull out decorations and setting things up in Riley's favorite colors.

Guests started to arrive and pretty soon the diner was full of laughter and cheerfulness. Riley wore a white and black dress with her hair in a bun and Lucas wore nice blue suit. Maya wore a white dress with a black print design on it with her hair in a pony tail. Shawn was going around and taking pictures of everyone, capturing everyone's smiling faces.

A tapping on a glass made everyone look towards Topanga and Cory, who were standing on a couple of chairs in the center of the room. "Attention everyone." Cory beams. "We'd like to propose a toast."

"Now, we know that Lucas and Riley aren't married," she side eyes Riley a little and smiles. "But, we would like to wish them all the happiness in the world as they go on and take on the world together -"

"Even if it's just to Texas." Cory cuts in. He glares at Riley and lucas in the crowd that surrounded them. "It is just to Texas, right?"

Lucas grins and Riley nods. "Yes, sir."

"Alright then, drinks all around." Cory smiles.

Maya hesitates as Cory gets off the chair and soon she finds herself standing on it. "Excuse me, everyone." She clears her throat. "Um . . . Riley is my best friend. She's always been my best friend . . . And I want to wish her all the luck in the world and I hope that she finds what she's looking for." Maya raises her glass. "To Riley and Lucas."

"To Riley and Lucas." The crowd repeats and Maya steps down.

"Nice speech, Hannigan." Mr. Turner smirks as he steps up to her.

"Mr. Turner." Maya beams. She hugs him tightly and she pulls back. "What are you doing here?"

"Well, I couldn't just let one of New York's finest students leave without saying goodbye, now could I?" He smiles.

Farkle and Smackle are talking to Riley when she spots Mr. Turner. Riley says her goodbyes and smiles at baby Alice before walking over towards Mr. Turner.

The two start a conversation and Maya heads outside where it starts to get a little chilly. The air was crisping up in late March and spring was upon them. Flowers were blooming and green was popping up everywhere.

"Maya?" Riley's voice is heard behind Maya. Maya turns slowly. "What are you doing out here?"

"Getting some fresh air." Maya tells her. She sits down at one of the tables, and Riley joined her.

"Oh." Riley says simply. "Are you okay?"

Maya nods. "Yeah." Her sigh is loud and long. "I don't know. What about you?"

"I don't know." Riley hesitates. "Do we know anything?"

Maya looks at Riley. "Ring power." Riley can't stop the small smile on her lips as her friend raises her hand. She spots her friend's ring on her finger and they interlock fingers.

"Ring power."

"Thunder."

"Lighting . . . A little scare." Riley frowns.

Maya stares at her and gives her a weak smile. "Me too."
