Heartbreak and Comfort

Hey everybody! The next chapter is here! I know my other story Yu-Gi-Oh! Blooeprs! has been on the shelf for a while but new chapters are coming up very soon, I can promise you that! Now to respond to a few comments.

Littlecosma001: Thanks so much! I'm glad you like my story! Hope you like this new chapter too!

QueenAnju: I'm really glad you enjoyed it! Just remember that Kaiba has to act like that in public, but when he and Rori are alone, he's a very different person. Please enjoy this new chapter!

OnePiecefan202: You make a good point. Kaiba would definitely be a stinker when it came to grammar! But anyway, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

dream lighting: I will definitely work on that idea! Thanks a lot!

kaia: A good guess, but just to tell you in advance, it's not right. If you don't like who it is, I'm really sorry. But thank you for your compliments.

Now I think we're just about ready to continue on with the story! I own nothing except my lovely lady, Rori Moto!

I change into my black sleeveless vest top and my new army khaki trousers, brushing my hair. I clip on my belt with my pistols strapped in. Just in case anyone else sneaks up on us.

Professor Hawkins is still asleep. He needs to rest after what he went through, so I head outside to talk to Rebecca.

'Hey Rori. Is Grandpa still asleep?' she asks. 'Yeah and rightfully so.' I tell her. I toss her a can of Coke and snap open mine.

'Thanks.' she says, snapping it open. 'Rori, I've found this strange article about a cruise ship that sank twelve years ago.' 'Let's have a look.' I peer at the article.

'A boy saved himself by swimming to an island, where he spent three years all alone. He did nothing but practice Duel Monsters until he was rescued- his name was Raphael.' reads Rebecca. 'Raphael? One of those bikers was named Raphael.' I say. 'Is there a picture of the boy?' Rebecca brings up the picture.

I nearly choke on my drink.

'Holy shit! It is him!' I splutter. 'It is?' 'Hell yeah! I recognise that spiky blond hair any day!' I say firmly. Then another thought hit me.

'He must be the one who challenged Yugi.' I gasp. 'What?! Oh no!' cries Rebecca, leaping out of her seat. 'Wait Becky! Calm down!' I say, grabbing her arm. 'Don't worry. Yugi will beat Raphael in no time. All we can do now is wait till the guys get back.' I tell her. 'You're right Rori.' admits Rebecca sitting down again.

A little while later, I'm reading a book about the execution of Tsar Nicholas II and his family when Rebecca speaks up again.

'Hey Rori, I'm still confused about something. You once said about there being two Yugis.' I think for a second on how to answer that. 'Well, there is only one Yugi really and that's my brother. The 'other' Yugi is actually an ancient Pharaoh who's spirit had been trapped inside Yugi's Millenium Puzzle for five thousand years. He's a lot more tougher and confident than my brother.' I explain.

Rebecca listens then nods slowly. 'Well, I like the sweet and shy Yugi. I'll never forget the day we met. He was so sweet and charming! I never met anyone as nice as Yugi- but I suppose he needs his tougher side too! That's why he always wins- when they work together, nothing can stop them!' she says. I smile at that. 'I couldn't have put it better myself Becky!' I say.

'Do you have a love interest Rori?' she asks. Oh shit! How do I answer that?!

'You're blushing! There is somebody! So, who is he?' asks Rebecca eagerly. I shift in my seat uncomfortably.

'Well...um...let's just say that I like this guy and...well...I don't know if he likes me back.' I stammer. 'Ah, one-sided love?' 'Yep. It's a little depressing.' I say. 'Do I know the guy in question?' asks Rebecca. 'I don't think you would.' I lie. She nods. 'That's okay Rori. How about we just leave it at that if it makes you feel better?' she suggests. I smile and nod. 'Thanks Becky.' I say.

Phew! Talk about close!

Beep-beep! Beep-beep!

'Sorry Becky, gotta answer this text.' I say. 'That's okay Ro. I'll get us some food.' smiles Rebecca, heading inside.

Hey baby. Just txtin 2 c if ur alrite. I love you. xxx

I have to smile at the thought of Seto taking time out just to see if I'm alright. I quickly text a reply.

Don't worry bout me. I'm alrite. Hopefully c u soon. xxx

Rebecca comes out with some cookies. 'Who was that?' she asks. 'It was Grandpa.' I lie smoothly. 'Just checking to see if everything was ok.'

'By the way, where's Teá? I haven't seen her in ages! How is she?' she asks. 'We had a major fight with Tea a couple of months back and we haven't spoken to her since.' I tell her. 'Oh, what happened?' asks Rebecca. 'She hooked up with this womaniser and didn't listen when we tried to warn her. But it's her own fault. And she'll have to pay the price in the end.' I explain.

'I'm actually kinda glad. Teá was sweet enough but not really much fun. Not like you Rori.' grins Rebecca. 'Thanks Becky.' I smile softly.

A little while later...

We're still sitting outside, Rebecca working on her laptop, me reading my book. I've just got to the chapter about the youngest daughter, Anastasia Romanov, when we hear the rumble of a car coming towards us.

'They're back!' I say delightedly, jumping up from my seat. 'Yugi!' cries Rebecca, rushing to hug him...but stops. He's got a dark look on his face. Hold on, it's the Pharaoh. What's up with him?

I look down at the boys. They all look sad and upset. 'What's wrong? Didn't Yugi win? What happened?' I ask. 'We've got a big problem Ro.' says Joey softly.

'Yugi didn't win.' says Duke. 'He's gone.' adds Tristan.

What?...

Yugi's...gone...?

'No...t-t-that's impossible. Yugi can't be gone!' I whisper.

'Yugi, talk to me!' begs Rebecca. The Pharoah opens his mouth.

'They got him. They got Yugi. And it's all my fault! I'm the one who unleashed the magic that took Yugi away!' he shouts.

My breath is coming out in gasps. 'You played the Seal of Orichalcos?!' I ask. 'I did. I let my rage take over...and now Yugi's gone!' he answers.

I don't know how I'm still standing because I swear my heart has just broken.

Rebecca is pounding on the Pharoah's chest, crying. 'Becky... step out of the way for a second.' I say. She sees the pain in my eyes and steps aside.

Tears are pouring down my cheeks.

'You bastard...you bastard...YOU BASTARD!' I scream at the Pharaoh- and suddenly my hand lashes out and I slap him really, really hard across the face. The Pharaoh stumbles to the ground, holding his cheek.

And then I'm running.

(Joey's POV)

Rori runs away from us all in tears. Can't say I really blame her though. I'd do the same thing if I lost Serenity.

'Rori!' yells Duke after her. 'Let her go guys. She needs some time to calm down.' I say. 'Don't worry, she'll be back in a little while.' 'I hope you're right man.' answers Tristan.

Meanwhile...

(Rori's POV)

I sit on the cliff, staring out at the view, Mom's brooch in my hand. I could do with a little company right now.

Blue Eyes White Dragon, hear me call! Come out of your slumber and appear before my eyes!

Using all of my will, the Blue Eyes White Dragon appears roaring powerfully. It settles down beside me, its head nuzzling into my stomach, moaning softly. I guess it knows how I feel as well. I rub its head gently.

'Hey! Why ya cryin' beautiful?' calls a voice behind me. I turn around.

Oh, it's one of the biker punks- the cheeky one! I like him, he's really cool.

'Hi there. Valon isn't it?' I say. 'That's me! Mind if I join ya?' he asks. 'Be my guest!' I say and he sits down next to me. The Blue Eyes White Dragon gives Valon's cheek a lick of approval.

'What's got ya all upset then gorgeous?' asks Valon. 'I've lost my brother to the Orichalcos, that's what's got me upset. Another member of my family gone.' I say sadly.

Valon puts an arm round my shoulders comfortingly. 'I'm really sorry about that beautiful. Raphael thought he got the Pharaoh's soul in the duel. None of us knew till later that we got some kid's soul instead.' he tells me. 'It's not your fault Valon. I just didn't expect something like this would happen.' I say.

'What d'ya mean by 'another member'?' asks Valon. 'I lost my mother in a plane crash a couple of years back. My father abandoned us with our grandpa and wanted us back for money.' I explain.

'Aw...I'm sorry gorgeous. I know exactly how ya feel. I lost me folks as a kid too. I lived rough on the streets for a few years, got into loads of fights. Eventually I got sent to a detention center. But still got in loads of trouble. So the owner of the place gave me my Deck and said to use that to let me feelin's out. Then me boss heard 'bout me and offered me a job with him. I was eager to get out of that place so I agreed. And I've been with him ever since.' I listen to Valon's story, very surprised.

'I'm sorry about what you went through Valon. You know a lot more about suffering than I thought.' I say. 'I am dueling for the boss for the good of mankind but I hate havin' to steal all these people's souls. I don't think it's fair.' he answers.

We both stand up and look at each other.

'Listen gorgeous. I know that you and me are on different sides and all that but... what d'ya say 'bout us bein' friends?' he asks. I smile. 'Absolutely. There's nothing wrong with this whatsoever.' I answer.

'So, friends?'

'Friends.'

And we shake hands.

Suddenly a helicopter appears from behind the mountain. 'There's my ride. I gotta go! I'll see ya soon beautiful!' says Valon, jumping onto the rope ladder. 'Bye Valon!' I call.

I watch the helicopter until it disappears out of sight. I sit down again and hug the Blue Eyes White Dragon. It licks my cheek happily, glad to see that I've cheered up.

'I love you Blue Eyes.' I say. Then my beautiful dragon lets out a yawn, showing all of its teeth. 'Somebody's tired. Time for a nap, I think. Sweet dreams Blue Eyes.' I smile. The Blue Eyes White Dragon licks my cheek again before disappearing back into my brooch.

So I've made a new friend. Valon may be on the bad side but he has a great personality and is really lovely.

I won't tell the others about this. They'd freak out if they found out about my new friendship with Valon- and of course, they'd drop dead in shock if they found out that Seto Kaiba is my boyfriend! So I think I'll keep my lips sealed!

I reach the motor home and head inside.

'Hey Rori! We were startin' to get worried! Feelin' any better?' asks Joey. 'I'm alright.' I smile.

'Rori-' the Pharaoh starts to say. 'Save it.' I say firmly.

I'm not ready to forgive the Pharaoh for what he did to my brother. He gave into the darkness and Yugi paid the price. It feels like half of me is gone because of what the Pharaoh did. I can't forgive him for that. Not now anyway.

'Rori, we're going to Florida. Professor Hawkins said there were copies of some inscriptions that he was studying in a museum. So we're going there to check them out. Rebecca's booking our flight and we're getting a train to the airport.' Tristan tells me. 'Then I'll get our bags ready. I'll have them sorted in a few minutes.' I say. 'I'll help you Ro.' says Duke.

I may have lost with my brother but I've gained something out of it...a new friend. And hopefully soon, we'll have Yugi back again.

To Be Continued! Next chapter, the gang head off on the train...and I think you guys know what's gonna happen next! The next chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! Bloopers! will be up in the next few days, I promise. Until next time- R&R!
