Drabble – Growth – Harry & Ginny
A/N: Day 2 of the week's Drabbles. Harry and Ginny were being rather modest this time. Such kids.

Harry stood in the doorway of Ginny's room and watcher her flitter around, much like Molly did in the kitchen in preparation for a meal for the family. But this was different. Ginny was making final preparations for returning to Hogwarts for her final year of school. Ginny protested as much as possible but her Mum wouldn't hear of it. Her last three sons didn't graduate and she wouldn't let her daughter have the same shame either.
Harry wasn't that keen on being separated from her either.
" – Still don't understand it. I want to play Quidditch. They don't care if I have a NEWT in Charms."
"You still need to finish school. Another year of Quidditch, as Captain, would help with the recruiters."
Ginny looked up from her trunk on the floor and glared at Harry, her boyfriend of all of two weeks. The summer after the war ended was long, taking months for them to find their way back. Grief and loss were still felt acutely at the dinner table.
"You're staring."
"Of course I am. You're beautiful."
"And you're blind as a flobberworm."
He grinned at his cheeky girlfriend. She snorted and turned back to her packing. "Why are you packing again? I thought you packed yesterday?"
Ginny shook her head. "Mum. She insisted we pick up a few things in Diagon Alley yesterday while we were in London and then she insisted I pack them for term."
"Like what?"
Ginny huffed and continued putting her things back into the trunk.
"What are you on about?"
Ginny huffed again and pulled the small parcel from the corner of her trunk. She opened the top of it to show Harry a Gryffindor red brassiere. "You can be so thick sometimes."
Harry stood stock still in shock. "Your Mum bought you undergarments? And they aren't white? Has she gone around the twist?"
Ginny blushed but returned the item to her trunk and closed the top. "Hardly. It seems that I grew some this summer. So she had to spend more galleons for new things for me."
"But that color?"
Harry tried to change his stance and failed to escape detection. Ginny leered at him. "Problem, Potter?"
He smirked back. "Just a little."
Ginny sighed. "I didn't eat right last year. I didn't sleep much. I lost weight from not eating or sleeping or sick with worry. So when we came home and I ate again, I grew. I put back on the weight but I also grew a couple of inches and grew in other ways." Ginny blushed at the last comment. "But that's like the same for you. You've grown this summer too, from getting to eat again."
"I have?"
Ginny walked up to Harry and threaded her arms around him. She stood up on her toes to kiss him none too chastely. "If I grew three inches, then you must have too since I can still do that."
"I could get used to this." Harry cheeked.
