Chp 38- "I gave you faith, turned your doubt into hoping, can't deny it. When you broke down, I didn't leave you. And I was on my knees when nobody else was praying. Now I'm all alone and my joys turned to moping. Tell me, where are you now that I need you?" Where are you now by Pentatonix
They found Thor stretched out on a set of steps in the sun and both imagined him as a lion. Causing giggles to fly from their mouths, Alerting Thor to their presence. He turned and smiled, "Did I miss something?" Sif waved a dismissive hand, "Girl things." She replied and Alex giggled a little more. "Do you know where Loki is?" Alex asked, wanting to sort things out as soon as possible. "Yes, he's in the gardens with Mother. Come, I'll take you there." Thor stood and Alex and Sif followed him to the back of the palace.
Thor stopped at the entrance and pointed to the tree in the center. "He is there." Alex nodded and stepped forward. "Thor, may I ask you for a favour?" Sif shot her a questioning look as Thor said, "Whatever is in my power, Lady Alexandra." Alex smiled at Sif and said, "I promised to spend the day with Sif, having a picnic. But I can't if I have to speak with Loki. So, perhaps you could take her?" Thor nodded with a smile. "OF course, it would be an honour." Thor turned to Sif. "If that is alright with you?" Sif tried to keep a straight face as she responded, "Well, if we must." Alex tried not to laugh at the small smile on Sif's face as Thor took her hand and placed it on his arm to lead her away.
Alex made her way to the tree, feeling petals of familiar flowers. Queen Frigga looked up at her approach from her position on a bench beside the tree. "Forgive me my Queen. I was hoping to speak with Prince Loki for a moment." Loki sat against the tree and did not glance up from his book but said, "Anything you have to say, you can say in front of the queen." Alex walked over infront of him, seeing the Queen glance between the two of them confused. Alex curtsied low, the way Frigga had taught her and bowed her head. "I came to ask for your forgiveness. I was thoughtless and rash when I asked for Thor's training. I should have came to you right away, but I was being selfish. I wanted to learn to fight properly and not be treated like I might break at any moment. Please forgive me. But if you can't, I will leave Asgard and you will never have to see me again."
Loki moved in front of her, but she didn't move her head. Determined to show him that she trusted and respected him by now flinching to look at him. A hand lifted her chin and she moved upright. Loki stood only inches in front of her. "You were stupid to train with Thor. That oaf could have seriously hurt you." Alex tensed but didn't move her head out of his hand. "But, I understand your point. I will train you myself. Just like I would any other warrior of Asgard. You will never be alone again, because I will be by your side always." He slid both of his hands to her head, one on either side, as he leaned closer. "Now, will you forgive my foolishness?" Alex felt a smile spread across her lips as she spoke. "Only if you kneel." She knew he wouldn't do it. She knew his history on earth and Tony's stories of his pride. So she was shocked when he stepped back, spread his arms and fell gracefully on one knee. Frigga's laughter broke her out of her amazement and she dropped to her knees hugging him. "I forgive you." She whispered, laughing and he chuckled. Hugging her closer to him. "No more secrets, okay?" he asked and she nodded. "I promise."
