Happy Halloween! This year I'm going to Disneyland and I am dressing up as a female Darkwing Duck.
The wind howled in the coal black night as four preteens trekked to a abandoned building. Each wore a jacket or a hoodie to keep them warm from the night air. The only girl in the group spoke up "Core, you've had a lot of bad ideas. But exploring a abandoned building that was closed down due to reoccurring death is probably your worst idea yet." Laney reasoned. Corey shrugged and answered "Its almost Halloween Lanes, and we should celebrate by going in their and exploring what everyone else dares to explore." the skinnier twin popped up between them and said "This is gonna be awesome! And it'll be even better with our low battery flashlights that could run out at the worst possible moment!" Kin said happily.
The four of them reached the gate that separated the place off from the rest of the world, each climbed over but Kon fell off and landed on his brother. They stared at the place before them, the sign had been taken down but it looked like most of the furniture and stuff was still in there. "Last chance to turn back and do something safer." Laney offered, Kon made a 'pshh' sound and said "What fun is life if we don't take horrible risks?" and so all the boys ran towards the building as Laney walked behind them "If we die, I am so going to haunt you all."
They entered the door and looked around, Kin turned on the flashlight and they could see tables lined up "Doesn't look that scary to me." Kin commented, the gang began to look around. Kon found a little stuffed animal laying and hugged it before putting it in his pocket. Corey walked over to a door and looked inside "Nothing but an empty hallway." he noted. All of a sudden, Corey heard a clanking sound. He closed the door and looked around "You guys hear that?" he asked, then the sound was heard again. It was a clanking sound like a machine moving. "Hang on guys, I'll see what it is." Kin offered. He shined his flashlight, then it went out "Darn, just when we needed this." he said bummed out.
The noise got louder and sounded closer, Kon felt like something was behind him, so he turned around...and there was a shadow looming over him. Kon stared for a moment before screaming at the top of his lungs and running over to his brother and jumping into his arms "There's something behind me!" he cried. The shadow took a step closer with a heavy step, the figure couldn't be seen completely to the band, but one thing was for sure. It wasn't human.
Corey and Laney stood by the twins as the thing kept creeping closer to them. The shadow stopped for a moment and the kids held their breathe. And then the shadow screamed and lunged at them. "AAAAAAH!" they all screamed in terror and scattered to the shadow couldn't get them. Corey looked over to see a door next to him "In here!" he called out and his friends followed. They all made it through the door into the hallway Corey saw earlier. They all breathed heavily against the door "What-what was that thing?!" Laney asked out of breath "Maybe its what caused all those deaths years ago!" Kin suggested. They could hear the clanking from the other room and knew they wouldn't be safe for long. They got up and went down the hallway until they found another door, Corey opened it and they went inside.
Inside was a small supply closet that was practically empty, they all took a moment to rest "So, how are we going to get out?" Laney asked her boyfriend "I-I don't know!" Corey began to panic. A knock was heard on the door and Kon went to open it "Kon, Don't!" They all yelled, but Kon opened it anyway and the shadow was there. It reached for Kon but Corey pushed him out of the way. The shadow lost some momentum and the band escaped past it and went back to the old room. They bumped into something as they ran and they looked to see another shadow staring at them "I thought it was in the closet!" Corey panicked. "There must be more than one!" Kin realized in horror.
The group scattered around the room as the shadow tried to grab them. Corey ran and felt a platform in front of him, he climbed up it and brushed off his sweat in relief. He then smelt a horrible stench in the air and covered his nose "Oh my god what is that?" he asked, only to get an answer in a shadow yanking his arm and pulling it torwards it. Corey kicked the thing and felt a liquid drop on his leg, it was cold and gross and he shivered at the touch. The shadow grabbed him again and tried to take him somewhere, until Corey threw himself out of its arms and landed on his back. Corey groaned in pain and saw the shadow coming for him, the shadow gave a deep laugh as it reached for Corey, he rolled himself out of the way and ran off.
Kon ran back to the supply closet, only to see that the shadow was still there, it made some raspy groaning noices and reached out and attempted to bite Kon, Kon dove away and ran back into the other room with the shadow hot on his trail. Laney wasn't having such an easy time either, she went into the bathroom to hide only to hear a snapping noise and a shadow lunge at her. Laney ran out of the restroom and noticed a abandoned broom on the floor, she broke off the main part and twirled the stick like a staff. When the shadow came back at her she used the wooden stick to fight it off and push it back, se heard screaming and Kon came by with the shadow chasing him, Laney proceeded to fight it off and knock it over, before giving an offhand backhand to the one chasing her.
Kin hid under a curtain and gave a sigh of relief, then he noticed something next to him and saw another shadow, it tried to grab him but Kin jumped out and screamed like a little girl before running away, he saw Laney and Kon and noticed the shadows knocked out next to them the shadow chasing Kin appeared and Laney kicked it over and it hit a wall. Kon looked around and his eyes widened "Corey!" he screamed and Laney and Kin spun around to see one of the shadows holding Corey and dragging him away "Oh no you don't!" Laney said as she jumped into action and whacked the shadow with her wooden stick, it still hung onto Corey and Laney realized this technique wouldn't work this time. So she saw a nearby table and swung it around and it hit the shadow and it dropped Corey. He gasped for air as he fell on the floor and Laney came and put him on her back as she ran to the twins.
They ran to the front door and Kin tried to pull it open "It's locked!" he panicked, then Laney pushed it opened and raised her eyebrow at him. The band ran a good distance away from the place, they eventually stopped to catch their breath. Laney set Corey down to check on him, noticing he had blood on him "Oh no Corey's bleeding!" Kon panicked. "Calm down Kon, this isn't Corey's blood." Laney told him "That makes it even scarier!" he yelled. Corey groaned and tried to sit up, Laney put her arm around him and held him up "That thing...it had blood coming out of it...and it smelled like a dead body..." Corey told them weakly, he was still in pain from his fall and the shadow gripping him so tight. Laney shushed him and said "You should rest Core, don't push yourself." Corey tried to nod but he winced in pain and Laney adjusted him so he wouldn't hurt so much. Laney looked back in the direction they ran from, "What do you think those were?" Kin asked her "I'm not sure I ever want to know." she answered. Kon pulled out the toy he picked up earlier and looked at it "At least I got this teddy bear!" he then noticed a name tag on it and read it "It says him name is Freddy Fazbear."
How many of you saw that coming? And yes the shadows were the animatronics, try and figure out who chased who.
