A year had passed by slowly and it was nice peaceful and Sesshomaru and Koga decided in another year they would get out, making loud sounds and surely either Inu no Tashio or Inuyasha would have come down hearing all the noise and then everyone in the cage could attack driving them to the edge with exhaustion and being extremely out numbered. This passing year was the time of peace for everyone to appreciate what they have, families, friends, life… this could all be taken away with this attack.

Inuyasha is strong, but Inu no Tashio is even more so and he could possible win even against a few thousand demons. He was the known a killer and great general when he was the prince before taking the title of Lord of the West. However if both of them came down it would mean certain doom… This chance of freedom could cost them their lives and so all their children who are not yet eleven which is old enough for the battle, all of those under eleven will go to the north east to the snow Yokai demons settlement and will stay their protected in the cold snowy mountains in the hidden settlement. If the adults were to die their families could be unharmed go on, and if the adults won they would go get their families.

Sakiyami smiled sitting with her mother watching her cook "Mommy can I help cook?" Rin felt happy at her daughter wanting request and he smiled "Yes, you can I need you to stir that soup so it doesn't burn." Sakiyami's beautiful eyes that were a mix of purple fading to a ring of blue and green then back to purple galaxy eyes were in shock and full happiness being handed the stirring spoon "Thank you, Mommy!"

"So what made you want to learn to cook? You weren't interested earlier?"

"I want to make good food that Kurostukiyuu and Aoikiyodai would like."

Rin smiled and knew that her mate was right they are forming a pack, within the last year the brother had little fights here and there. Some fights were verbal making Kurostukiyuu speak a bit more, and some were violent resulting in some cuts and bruises but nothing major. Sakiyami has been trying to bring her brother's together on mutual grounds and they always put aside their differences for her. Sesshomaru has taken them out a few times a week in order to teach them how to defend themselves and their sister if something happened to him or their mother Rin.

Sesshomaru walks to the cave with the boys at his sides and both boys looked at their sister who got up from her the soup she was stirring and then ran to her brother's "I made the soup!" Her smile was filled with hope, joy and pride in her soup. Rin smiled wiping her hands on a rag after she got done cooking the meat and had juice on her hands, she looked at Sesshomaru spoke "Welcome home mate, and my little men."

Kurostukiyuu nodded and smiled a small smile to his mother "Were back." Aoikiyodai smiled and huffed "We would have been back sooner but…" Sakiyami glared at the too noticing bruises on their hands "You too fought again?!"

Aoikiyodai jumped to speak "Well we did bu-"

"Yes, we fought. Now come with me, please." Kurostukiyuu walked over to her and grabbed her hand walking with her hand in his to the direction that leads outside "This is the last time we will fight. We spoke with father and now I wish to speak with you." Kurostukiyuu sat on a rock and looked at a small white meaningless flower he picked it and saw his sister who sat on a smaller beside him "Father spoke of our pack."

"Our pack?"

"Yes, me and Aoikiyodai fought to see who was the alpha male. I won. So he is an beta and beneath me, in ranking. Now you ranking must be decided by you. Father said me and brother are bound seeing that we are brothers we will be rivals like him and his brother or we will be a pack. Hearing father's stories about his brother we chose to be a pack and now are bound by pack. He has submitted after I beat him to be an beta while I am the alpha. Now we wish to know will you join our pack?"

"What would happen if I didn't?"

"Well I will be father's heir and Aoikiyodai will be my general and father's too." Fear struck him a bit hearing his sister ask about not being in the pack "And you will live your life separate from us, as a mate to a nobleman and live in a mansion or a village. You will not live in the palace after you are able to be mated off, and most likely your mate will be a demon and demons are possessive. "

"So?"

"You would not be allowed to come back to the palace ever."

"What about a human?"

"Humans hate demons only a few don't, your half bred child would be hated, bullied and put in harms way everyday by villagers and your human lover may be killed and so could you, by monks or a priestess that the village would likely request."

"But am I supposed to love my mate or husband?"

"Yes, that is how a princess of the Taiyoukai is allowed to choose for love. Father says he does not need a political marriage that his clan is already very strong and formidable and wouldn't gain much from a political marriage, so he only wishes for your happiness."

She looked down and smiled looking up again and her long dark brown hair that dipped at her waist flowed in the wind exposing her neck showing her beautiful slim neck and spoke softly "Happiness? I would only be happy if I were with the both of you."

A smile appeared on his face only a slight increase in the corner of her lip and he handed her the little flower she stared at it and put it to her lips and spoke shyly "Your choice also makes me happy, however you need to choose a position."

"Well what ones are there?"

"An Alpha female and a Beta female. Meaning with Alpha you would mate me, or Beta you would mate Aoikiyodai."

Her mind tried to wrap around those possibilities of them and all she wanted was one thing "I love you, and I love Aoikiyodai. Can I not be both of your mates?"

His eyes widened it wasn't impossible his father said he thought she may do something like this and not to be shocked if she did, it would be up to the pack whether or not that was allowed. He walked back in the cave with her hand in his hand and looked at his brother who was standing by his mother setting the table for the lunch meal and his father dragged in a fresh killed prey, for dinner.

"Aoikiyodai may we speak with you?"

"Feh, whatever." Sesshomaru looked at his second son 'he sounded so much like Inuyasha'… it made him annoyed yet he knew it wasn't his son's fault that was simply his personality. Aoikiyodai walked over to his siblings and stood and saw his elder brother look at their sister. She took a breath and spoke "I want to become a pack… and I want to be both of your mates! I can't choose!"

Aoikiyodai stood shocked like he had just been hit with an incredible force, and Rin gasped. She knew she had no right to interfere. They were her children, but they have to find their own paths in life… and she and Sesshomaru are related so it's not that…Just that her children are already thinking of mates and yet they are only a few years old though they look much older and act much older they act ages ten, nine and a half and nine.

She knew she wanted her family to remain together and this would be a good way to keep it that way. Sesshomaru and Rin both knew that in a month they would try to rebel or so, and then all would change…either of the better or the worse. At least this way she knew her family would stay together, she remembered kami said he would be watching… hopefully that would be helpful. For the last year she prayed in secret for her family's safety.

The next day came and went, in the morning their mother had told them she would cook a nice little feast for them announcing their newly formed pack. The new little pack were playing a game of hide and Sakiyami was looking for a good place to hide. Her eyes looked for a good place ' A tree won't do, they'll find me too quick. A rock? No that's more worse than a tree.'

She looked around more and groan in the back of her mind so Aoikiyodai wouldn't find her, he was it and Kurostukiyuu was hiding really well by now.

"Five!"

'Ugh nowhere good to hide! Once he get to ten I'm doomed!'

She closed her eyes and sighed as she saw outside of her body and a path cleared in her mind showing a route to a clearing of a vine wall and then fogginess unable to see the rest. She had been told about she was different with her eye color, Galaxy eyes. Sesshomaru had once told her that those eyes held power and luck, or that's what his mother once told him when he asked her based on a book he read. She guessed that this was just the strength he spoke of, besides she knew both of her parents were extremely strong aunt Ayame told her how they even fought and escaped death.

She smiled and got up her beautiful purple yukata with threads of blue and pink threaded in with silver to look like the night sky, her hair flowed behind her as she ran towards the vines. Passing tree after three she heard "Seven!" She ran quicker passing a bush and jumping over a big rock as large the table in the cave. She heard him shout "Eight!"

Fear sat in with her adrenaline, her feet picked up faster and relief filled when she saw the vines she ran and pushed them aside to be behind them only then did she feel something like cold metal… Bars? She looked at them and all of a sudden her she forgot about the game and didn't even hear Aoikiyodai scream nine, she looked at the bars and the velvet curtain behind it. It was old a beautiful building up her courage she took a breath and closed her eyes.

Suddenly, "Ten!" She snapped open her eyes hearing her brother yell ten using her courage and wiggled through the bars and she pushed her way past the curtains. She looked around the darkness and noticed a single light dimly lit, she looked around and saw a door that was wooden and wore her eyes widened and fear spiked within her. As she looked around and saw blood stains on the dark floor if not for her demon eyesight and smell she wouldn't have seen it. It smelt somewhat like Sesshomaru and the blood was old on the stone floor.

She heard something like a slam above her she then hear shuffling of wood far above and fear spiked in her as she turned and went to the curtains becoming tangled, in this scary unknown place she started crying and whimpering wanting to be free to be away from this place. She was afraid to make too much noise the person making the noise might hear, since she heard that person he or she might hear her. She slashed the curtains with her claws gaining her way to the metal bars, then steps… She tried to wiggle through the bars but she was too tense and couldn't fit though like before when she wiggled through relaxed. Then the steps were louder and louder she pushed her way through the bars gaining small cuts and bruises however she was blinded by fear to ignore her pain.

Kurostukiyuu shouted for her, hearing her name she started getting excited with relief and fear build up and he was one of the only ones to relieve her fear. 'Help!' Her mind screamed she got twisted and turned in the vines with a few thorns cut her knew yukata her mother had made her since she grew and cut her skin.

She heard both her brothers yelling for her fear in their voices, even Kurostukiyuu who showed no emotion held it in his voice. Aoikiyodai was the louder voice "SAKIYAMI!" She saw the vines be cut and she saw Aoikiyodai and Kurostukiyuu right beside him. She jumped into both of their arms she cried into Aoikiyodai's yukata. She felt Kurostukiyuu touch her arm and winced then looked to see blood and her yukata torn.

"Sakiyami what happened?" His voice held a hint of fear, but that was for her. He feared for her… He cared. Some of the other child youkai told her he never cared and he had no heart but he really did. She sniffled and pointed towards the bars "It's the exit! The room that mommy talked about and…there is a person coming please get us out of here! It's not safe! Not safe!"

Kurostukiyuu picked up his alpha female, Sakiyami. He gave Aoikiyodai who nodded "We should see who it is and then report back to mother and father, get in that thick maple tree. I'll get in the burrow over here," he pointed to a small burrow just a little ways away. Kurostukiyuu hugged his mate to his chest, he heard her muffled quiet voice and pulled away a bit to hear her properly "Today was supposed to be a good day one of celebration. But now…"

"We will figure this out, but we will still celebrate."
