Chapter 34: Orichalcos Soldiers

"We are about one mile from Paradius headquarters." Rebecca announced.

"We'll have our company back in no time. Right bro?" Mokie asked looking over at Seto. He was still sitting completely straight and stiff, arms crossed and gaze fixed on the wall. He barely acknowledged his little brother's comment at first.

"Don't be so sure. We're dealing with an extremely powerful organization and its going to take everything we have to bring them down. This won't be easy." Seto said solemnly at the end. I wanted to take his hand and squeeze it in reassurance but Duke slammed on the breaks. I nearly went flying off the couch. I would have if Seto hadn't wrapped his arms around me reflexively.

"What's going on?" Mokie asked looking out the front.

"Maybe we should get someone else behind the wheel." Tea suggested and I chuckled at the comment. They all opened the door and ran towards the truck that was towing the trailer. I stood but decided not to follow. Seto took the moment while the others were outside to turn me around to him and place his lips upon mine. His hands held my face and his kiss was rough, more so than he had been in a while. But I responded to the kiss nonetheless. We both needed it after the day we had. My hands rested against his chest as he finally pulled away. I smiled up at him and pushed one of his bangs out of his face so I could see his beautiful blue eyes. They looked so troubled.

"We'll get your company back Seto, and Dartz will pay for what he did." I said now caressing his cheek. He closed his eyes and leaned into my touch. Sadly our moment to ourselves was cut short as Mokuba opened the door.

"Hey guys, sorry to interrupt but you should come out here…like now." He said looking scared.

"What is it Mokie?" I asked standing at the ready.

"Those monsters…" He said and pointed down and alley that was perpendicular to the trailer. We stepped outside and heard the end of the conversation the dweebs were having.

"We have to find Joey before it's too late." Yugi said.

"That chumps gonna have to wait because we have bigger problems." Seto said activating his duel disk. I did the same.

"What do you mean?" Yugi asked.

"Look around you!" Seto said motioning to the fact that we were nearly surrounded by these freaky looking soliders.

"Mokie, stay in the trailer." I ordered the younger Kaiba.

"We're surrounded!" Tea shouted…thank you captain obvious. I seriously wonder if that girl is blonde. (A/N: Sorry for the blonde stereotype but you know Rika and her sass.)

"If anyone has a plan, please speak now."

"They're closing in." Yugi said shortly. Again this crew and stating the obvious.

"Maybe we can out run them." Rebecca suggested.

"I already tried that. They're too fast." Tristan confessed. He was the tallest besides Seto so if he couldn't then there's no way the rest of us could.

Yugi and Seto walked infront of everyone while I stayed behind with Mokie.

"Yugi!" Tea shouted.

"Seto, stop it's too dangerous." Mokie cried out fearful for his brother.

"There's nothing dangerous about a bunch of holograms, now let's shut them down." Seto said prideful.

The two men stood back to back and I couldn't help the smirk that found my lips. Seto Kaiba and Yugi Muto are working together? Where is a camera when I need one? As they readied to draw their monsters, their decks started to glow.

"Kaiba, our dragons." Yugi said holding up his Timaeus card and Seto did the same with Critius. They summoned their dragons in a powerful and dramatic fashion but it was still awestriking to see them work as a team.

"Mokie, you're seeing this too right?" I asked.

"I am Ri. But you know Seto will deny it soon as this is over."

"True, very true." I said chuckling.

The dragons continued taking out the monsters one by one until Critius smashed the last one as it attempted to move in on Seto.

"You did it bro!" Mokie shouted proud of his brother. The dragons soon returned to their cards and we all regrouped.

"Where were you two?" Tea asked as Duke and Tristan rejoined the group.

"Uh, we tried to lead those things away by running really far."

"So you were hiding like children?" I asked raising a brow.

"I didn't see you destroy any monsters." Duke spat back.

"She could have easily, but doesn't have to. Seto will always protect her." Mokie said proudly but I felt my face pale at the younger Kaiba's words. I looked up to see Seto holding a stoic look not giving anything away. Mokuba knew very well that our relationship was still not public knowledge. I know Yugi had his suspicions, which were correct, but he didn't know that.

"So rich boy has a heart?" Tristan asked.

"Is it so hard to believe Kaiba cares about someone other than Mokuba? I think it's wonderful that he cares about Rika as a friend." Tea asked looking towards me.

"Well, yeah have you met the guy?" Tristan said scratching the back of his head.

"Tristan…" Yugi warned but the damage was done. I saw anger flash in Seto's eyes and he started to walk away.

"Hey where you going?" Mokie asked. I flipped the asshole off and followed my two boys.

"Kaiba, Rika stop. We have to stick together." Tea shouted.

"Do you geeks really think that just because I helped you fight off some holograms, that I'm part of your little pep squad? I'm afraid you got the wrong idea. Adios it's been a real blast." Seto said barely looking over his shoulder.

"Kaiba will you at least help us find Joey?" Yugi asked.

"Ha, use your heads. There's a simple way to find that loser if you think about it." He said rolling his eyes. I turned around and pointed to my duel disk. If Rebecca could hack into KC's security system, tapping into the satellite system wouldn't be that difficult for her.

"Such sweethearts those two." I heard Tristan say. The tall brunette was really starting to piss me off. Seto and I both were ignoring whatever they had to say at this point. I felt sort of bad for leaving the professor, Tea and Yugi to fend for themselves but the others can go rot in a hole somewhere.

"Come on, I know there is a car dealership about a block from here, from there we can make our way to Dartz." Seto said as we turned a corner and out of the sight of the others. I felt Seto take my hand and a smile found my lips. Finally, to be alone with my boys after a full day with Yugi and his friends was a breath of fresh air.

"You guys can kiss if you want, I know you've been dying to for hours now but haven't been able to. It isn't something I haven't already seen." Mokie said smirking like a devil and running down the street ahead of us.

"He barely missed our short make out session in the trailer." I said blushing and looking up at Seto. He stopped suddenly and did pull me in for a short kiss.

"Have to keep the kid happy right?" He said kissing my lips again before starting to walk again.

"Seto, you're such a tease!" I said running to catch up with his long strides.

Soon we reached a car lot that had maybe ten cars max, but they were all expensive looking sports car.

"Mokie, pick one out, just make sure it has three seatbelts." He told his brother before his eyes landed on me.

"So I'm a tease am I?" He asked looking at me with a playful smirk. Dear Ra, I'm in for it. I turned to run but his arms wrapped around my waist. He pinned me against the wall of the dealership and once scanning to make sure Mokie was preoccupied, his lips slammed against mine. His hands slid under my shirt to rest on my lower back, they were cold and sent shivers up my spine in an erotic way. My fingers weaved into his brown locks and I pulled slightly with each shiver he enticed from me. His lips left mine for a few moments as he kissed my jawline briefly then returned. We sat there lip locked for a while until we pulled away breathless.

"You haven't kissed me like that since your birthday." I said smiling.

"We've been slightly preoccupied."

"Are you two done? I said you could kiss, not suck each other's face off." Mokie shouted from a red Porsche. My cheeks reddened at being caught in such an intimate moment. Seto simply chuckled at his brother's antics and started towards the raven haired preteen.

"I like this one Seto." He said like a child on Christmas morning.

"Fine, I let you do the shopping just this once kid." He said getting into the driver's seat. Mokie jumped in the back and I took shot gun.

"Let's pay Dartz a visit." I could tell our last kiss helped Seto release some of the tension he had built up since this morning…well yesterday since its nearing midnight at this point. It also gave him back some of his confidence and solidified our mutual trust once again. Together we would take down Dartz and get Kaiba Corp back.

"Sounds good to me." Mokie said poking his head up between us.

"What's going on here? What are you three doing in this car?" The owner asked.

"What do you think we're doing? We're buying it!"

"I don't have time for games young man!" He said obviously not believing us. However, he was unaware that teenage billionaire Seto Kaiba was the one sitting in the driver's seat.

"This should cover it, keep the change." Seto said signing a check and handing it to the man. Soon as he had it, he revved the engine and took off down the street towards Paradius HQ which would take less than fifteen minutes in this car.

There you have it! I finally was able to put a couple over due Seto and Rika scenes in there. I hate it when it's all plot with no room for originality. Plus the car lot scene is one of my favorites as well. Kaiba rarely truly flaunts how rich he really is, especially when Rika is around, but I love how crazy Mokie gets in the episode.
