As the days passed by, nothing big happened in the Host Club. Kiku kept on close eyes on the Baltics and Russia himself just in case something not good happened. Even though everything sounded normal at first look, and but Kiku noticed something else. Something quite unfamiliar. Ivan did not emit any malicious aura. Ivan's loneliness had been made clear towards lots of nations, but they were scared of him because of his maliciousness. Of course, Kiku himself was afraid of him.
Despite Ivan's clear maliciousness, some of the Host Club members were still not afraid of him.
...
It was the time for the club activities to cease. Ivan exited the room after his shift had ended, but since the Baltic Trio had left beforehand, he went back alone. Kiku was still busy with some other activities as well. Before going home, he stopped at the indoor park. Few minutes later, a voice came approaching. "Ivan-kun?"
Ivan turned his face towards the voice. "Oh, Haruhi~ Am I bothering?"
"I think that should be my question, Ivan-kun." She paused. "What are you doing here?"
"Well, I just want to have some fresh air before going back. This place is very different than my homeland after all."
"Oh right, you're from Russia, right?" Haruhi paused. "Are you okay living in a place like that?"
Ivan held his chin. "Hmm... To say that I like it..." He paused a bit, as Haruhi became interested to his answer. "...would be a lie."
The Russian's unexpected answer quite took Haruhi's attention. "Why would that?"
"I hate the cold. I want to live in a warmer place with sunflowers around the place. I know that it's a weird dream, but I just can't help it."

The next day, Kiku woke up earlier than he had expected. After he washed his face, he soon walked the hallway to prepare some breakfast. He was interested when he saw Ivan woke up quite earlier than him.
"Oh, Japan. Good morning~" Ivan gave a small smile.
"Russia-san, you woke up quite early. Is something the matter?"
Russia went silent for a bit before answering. "Hmm... I'm thinking of going back to my country."
"Oh, why is that?"
"Well, I think I have taken enough fun over here. Also, I have something I want to do."
Japan was rather interested on what Russia would do, but he tried not to get his hopes up, since he had few ideas. "Hmm... I suppose today will be your last day hosting?"
"Yeah, sort of. You have school right? I'll catch up for the club later." The Japanese just nodded a bit before he left.
...
...
After school, it was finally time for the Host Club. He was confused all the time about whether he should tell the members about Ivan or not. Since he was the Guest Host, they should know about his situation. As they were about to open the club, Ivan came in with the usual Baltic Trio. Everything looked fine as if nothing had changed at all. Because he wanted to avoid Ivan's intervention no matter what, Kiku secretly told Kyouya about Ivan's situation.
"Oh, so you wanted to give him a farewell party?"
At that time, Ivan was still busy handling his customers. It seemed that the females were attracted to his child-like attitude and innocent face.
"Yes. Actually I have my doubts, but since this is going to be his last day as a Guest Host, I think we should do something." Kiku had never liked Ivan for as long as he lived, but since the previous Guest Hosts had their climaxes, he thought that Ivan deserved to get one too.
"Well, I think it's a good idea, but this is so sudden." Kyouya held his chin. "I don't think Ivan won't be able to figure it out."
"I never planned on keeping it a secret. It's useless."
Kyouya chuckled slightly. "Alright, let's think about it slowly."
...
It was about time for the club activities to end. Right before the end, Ivan went back along with the Baltic Trio. As the female students exited the room, the members started to discuss things. "So, do you have any ideas for the climax?" Kiku asked the other members.
The others had been briefed by Kyouya about Ivan, thus they were into this.
"No, not exactly..." Tamaki replied. He seemed restless.
"We know so little about him, so it's sort of hard." The twin said at the same time.
Kiku went silent because he was deep in thought. The others were also deep in thought. The moment became so silent. The silent continued until Kiku finally raised his head.
"I think I have an idea."
...
...
Baltic Trio went back before Ivan left, since they still had important things to do with the government work. Of course, Ivan didn't let them, but he gave his permission in the end. He went back to the government quarters to take his belongings before going back. What he noticed was unusual, was that no one was inside. However, he didn't give it much thought and went to take his luggage instead. He fixed his scarf's position before exiting the building and sighed.
"Looks like I'm destined to be all alone, after all."
...
...
Something was clearly weird. He didn't encounter any of the Host Club members or Japan. During his way onto the airport, he passed by the school where no one seemingly was around since it was already after school time.
At least, he thought so.
Until the wind suddenly blew again, moving Ivan's muffler as if it was dancing in the air. At the same time, yellow petals were fluttering in the air, blown away by the wind. Ivan could feel the petals through his thick coat. One petal landed on his shoulder. He picked it up before he grabbed it tightly.
"Hmm~ So this is why they are not around." He glanced at a certain direction, where the winds seemed to have blown in a rather... unusual way. He just chuckled and smiled a bit. Then he stuffed the petal inside his pocket.
He continued to walk until his figure was not seen again by the Host Club members.
There was a giant fan on their feet, and a bucket of yellow petals on their side.
...
And then, once again, September had ended.
The ninth month went away, leaving a jet stream on the sky marking the start of November.
