Hey guy´s I´m back. Thank you for your birthday wishes and sorry that I couldn´t upload earlier, it was just that after my bday the end of semester exams were on at my uni and I had 6 exams ! and one 40 page long term paper! Anyway I hope you enjoy this chapter.

"Aaron what time is it…?" I yawned as soon as I was awake, still having this weird feeling that I overslept again. "Mate?"

Then I realized that I was not in my dorm, I was in my room back at home. That's why Aaron wasn't there. It was one of the few weekends I was at home; dad´s birthday had been yesterday…. So I stood up, showered and then made my way downstairs and met my Nana at the stove talking to my mum at the table. "Morning "I smiled and started to make myself an omlette.

"Morning Hun´" mum said and my grandma added "Darling let me do it"

"No thanks, start eating I can do this" I smiled "Do you need anything?"

"No were fine" Mom smiled "I can´t believe how independent you are"

"Independent?" I laughed shoved the egg onto a plate, put the pan into the sink and made myself a protein shake, then joined the two of them at the table.

"Yes, you make your own breakfast, clean after yourself…and you even started to do your own laundry instead of just loading it on our shoulders" smiled mom.

"I am old enough to do so" I shrugged and started to eat my breakfast when my brothers and my dad came into the living room.

"So what´s for breakfast?" Leo asked and took a look at my omlette "Why haven't you made one for us mum?"

"Dustin made his breakfast himself" mum said.

"Dusty come on , make us some" Stephen grinned.

"How about you guys make one yourselves? I mean if I can do it, I am sure you can do it to…Anyway I have to get going"

"Yeah , hurry up to get to that fancy ballet school" Stephen said " don't get a run in your stocking"

He and Leo shared a knowing look and started to laugh. They seemed weird today. I gulped down my shake, then shoved the plate with half of my omlette towards my brothers.

"Here fight over it, like you fight over that stupid rugby ball of yours"

"Stop it boys" Dad said annoyed and stirred in his coffee.

"Of course you stop me when I speak up" I muttered annoyed, yes my dad obviously played no favorites. "Anyway I have to get going.."

"Smell ya later ballet bun boy" Leo grinned and he and Stephen laughed.

I arrived in time to put my things into my dorm room and to meet up with the guys to the warm up session. Pas de deux was scheduled and my partner rushed in just in time.

"Morning Dusty" she hummed fixing her hair. For some time she seemed happier whenever you saw her….then again you hardly saw her at all on academy grounds.

"Morning…well you seem a bit flustered" I looked down at her, she was in a split, fixing her bun. Her waves were a lot messier than usual, she hardly straightened them anymore, kept it more in that ´I-just-came-from-the-beach-look´, which was true.

"Yeah…got lost in the track of time" she mumbled a bit frustrated with her hair.

"Lemme" I said and bent down to fix it grinned and whispered "You know it's funny to see you all caught up in your feelings for a boy"

She blushed heavily but couldn't hide a smile.

I laughed "Oh Toe, you sure made my day"

"Why? Was it bad before?"

"Oh you know …stupid brothers"

"Oh believe me I could write a song about it" Tony grinned and we both took a look at Gabriel who was mouthing a ´were you Tony?´

"Still angry because of the camping trip insident?"

"Yeah" she muttered, glaring at Gabriel than Andrew .

"I´m in for being angry at stupid brothers as the next person, but what about you and Andrew? I mean you were kind of close before…"

"Yeah, but he and Gabe both have this annoying tendency of questioning me and my decisions…."

"Like?"

"Riley, I often got the vibe that Andrew doesn't like him and he wants to convince me. I mean I talked with Cece about it, but she doesn't know either what to do about it other than ignore it."

If I would say he is jealous….but he is with Cece, does she know?

I looked at the two of them; Cece just practiced a turn, messed up and fell into his arms laughing. He grinned and gave her a kiss. Probably not…

A chatter, probably a group of people approaching and the voice of Zach explaining, Guests? Like the rest of the class I looked up to see our teacher with a bunch of boys.

"Oh sweet merciful Lord" I heard Bubbles say then giggle. In a perfectly synchronized movement( man we should try this out in a dance for once) , the class moved together like a pack of wolves, ready to attack when the guys entered our studio.

"Guys" Zach said "Welcome our Guest, the rugby team of Michael Patching High, the boys are here for a week to learn from us and hopefully we learn something from them.

Nothing, shuffling from our side. Damn why didn't Leo tell me?

"So…how about we introduce ourselves" the Captain of Australian Football Team, Michael Arnold said. How I knew, well let's say if I wouldn't be at the academy I probably would have end up at that school and my brother Leo is at that school.

"I´m Michael Arnold, Captain of the Footy Team"

"My name is Ken Underwood"

"Greg Jackson"

"Leo Summers "Yes my brother, grinning sheepishly at me, I felt a movement next to me. Tony, shifting to a position behind my back.

"Oh no…oh no no…" She whispered.

I was glad to hear her concern for me, but when I looked at the person next to Leo, I saw why she was so desperate.

There was this boy, you could clearly see that he was kind of a newbie in the team, didn't look as mean, as bulky, and had more of a surfer boy look to him. He hid his surprise pretty well, but his gaze was fixed on Tony when he introduced himself.

"Hey I´m Riley

Things were kinda strange….I mean at Dance Academy things were always strange but more than usual. Tony didn't want to talk to me or her stupid brother, it doesn't bother me much, I mean I have no idea why there is this tension but it sure does not bother me…at all that is. Gabriel though is getting even more annoying as the time passes and the fact that Toe seems to care less and lesser about her attendance on academy grounds makes him crazy, and the fact that she ignores him makes him crazier….but enough of the Barringtons…gosh…I have other things to think about.

"What are you thinking about?" Cece said while fumbling with her straw in her milkshake.

"Oh nothing…" I mumbled "So you excited about this week's extra lessons?"

"Yeah totally, I love hip hop" she grinned "and Cooper and the guys are awesome…not to forget how good looking that Christian Reed guy is"

"Oh yes!" Lily giggled "He is eye candy"

Cece grinned "Yeah, I heard that you went to some of his course"

"Yes" Lily said "I went there with Dusty and Aery for some extracurricular activity"

"Oh two extremely good looking Asian guys in one room, it must have been heaven for you Lil´" Cece grinned

"Cece I have no idea what you are talking about" Lily said with a grin.

Me neither….girl talk irritates me. Yes sometimes….often I wish that I could hang around some guys more….but really…my dorm mate is Gabriel Barrington, I never really got warm with Dustin…I guess Aaron is quite okay….but still a bit too nerdy for me.

"Are you done with this" I pointed at my girlfriends' plate, she nodded, and I grabbed both hers and mine to put it into the dishwasher.

"Has anyone seen my sister?" Gabriel announced as he came into the kitchen with Liana in tow, apparently they have been out jogging.

"Not since this morning" Lily said "I guess she went out for training…maybe with Dusty"

"No" Cece said "He´s back at home. I think it was his dad birthday yesterday. Why?"

"Just want to talk to her….she hasn't been home for a few weeks and grandma is worrying" Gabriel mumbled and refilled his water bottle. We ignored Gabriel mumbling about his weekend and got ready for class, warmed up and met up with Dustin who really seemed a bit annoyed and stressed. When Cece asked him, he replied that he had a fight with his brothers.

I noticed Tony entering the room. Probably coming from an early meet up with her oh so great Riley….I concentrated on my warm up and practiced a section of turns and lift with Cece. Unfortunately I forgot to lift her the right way and she stumbled into my arms laughing. I grinned

"Sorry Cec´…got distracted….do you hear Zach too?"

We looked up to see Zach approaching with a bunch of guys. High schoolers….bulky.

"They´re probably from this experience exchange program we have every year" Cecily mumbled then Bubbles let out a shriek in a tone that only dogs could hear.

So they´re from a footy team….ballet dancers versus Footy Players….game on. I felt this feeling of defense within our ranks and the class managed to do a perfect synchronized movement. The group came in….yep footballers.

"No, way…" Cecily said with a shocked expression…which I couldn't read.

Zach mentioned Michael Patching High…..this should ring a bell….not…happening…sorry.

I noticed from the corner of my eye that Tony tried to hide behind Dustin. I followed her gaze….Oh that's the problem.

"That´s not really Riley?" whispered Cecily I nodded.

"Well…" Zach said " The guys are staying for a whole week and we thought that to get a real exchange feeling…each football player can choose a dancer whom he will spend his time with…and with that I mean the whole day except night time…that includes all the classes, training and exercises. So…as I see it not all of the guys can match up with a male dancer so some of you have to team up with a girl… "

Bubbles giggled excited and earned a lot of strange looks. I saw Dustin with a boy that looked kind of like him….probably one of his stupid brothers. Then eyed Riley going to Tony.

"Oh no….." Cecily looked at them "This is not going well"

Dustin

"Why didn't you tell me that you're coming to this exchange" I said to my brother who was clearly enjoying himself.

"I thought it would be funnier this way, your porcelain face is pretty funny" Leo laughed "So this is the fancy ballet school…it isn't as pink as I thought"

"Yeah because ballet isn't as pink …forget it….so the first lesson is going to be the basics on the bar"

"We´re drinking awesome"

"No, warm up….just watch us…." I sighted then turned to Tony who was still staring at Riley…wait what?

"Hey Riley" Leo grinned and put an arm around him "Care to introduce us?"

"This is…" Riley said with a smooth voice .

"Antonia Barrington….Tony …hi" Tony squeaked.

"Enchanté" Leo said, grabbed Tony´s hand and placed a kiss on her backhand.

"Do you even know what that means?" I rolled my eyes and carefully shoved Tony and Leo apart "Now listen Leo, we have to warm up…I´m going to show you the five positions so that-"

"I´d like it more if the little lady can show me" Leo started but Tony glared up at him

"Don´t come near me" then she looked at Riley shyly, blushing "Um…I guess you know some basic stuff"

"I´d be happy if you could show me" he said with a tiny smile. God he was flirting with his eyes.

Then Miss. Raine entered "To the bars, class, guest, first position"

"Man I didn't thought that you could spend a whole lesson on stretching" Leo laughed later in the 10 minute break with his teammates. They were sitting around in a circle laughing, while we prepared ourselves for the next lesson.

"So you didn't know" Cecily asked Tony who was still keeping eye contact with Riley.

"She didn't "I answered for her "and he didn't either"

"What´s up with your brother?" Andrew grumbled and we ( minus Tony) looked at Gabe who was darting his head between Tony and Riley, Liana was holding his arm and stroking it, talking to him in hushed tones. Lily and Aaron looked at the scene in amusement. The next lesson went down and the football players were introduced to turn sequences. Then the boys went to change clothes.

"So these Ballerina girls…they are pretty good looking "said one of the players " I like the one with the blue eyes and the black hair…"

"I told you already back off she´s my girlfriend" growled Andrew. Clearly he is on good terms with his exchange partner.

"Man you got good taste…just saying….Hey is any one of the girls single"

"Oh Jake just because all of our cheerleaders have turned you down" Michael, the team captain said "But I kind of like the short one….the one with the green eyes...Riley I think you were partnered up with her"

"She´s unavailable" Gabriel stood up and I saw that Riley rose an eyebrow.

"She´s going out with you?" Michael laughed "Really?"

"No….she´s my sister…" Gabriel said.

"So she is available" The team-captain said.

"No she´s not" Riley grinned "Because she´s with me"

Silence….only a "what" from Gabriel. This is interesting…

"MAAAN ONLY ONE LESSON AND YOU CLEARED THE ROAD" the whole team yelled and patted Riley on the shoulders.

"No guys…we know eachother for a long time…but enough of that…don't we have to go to the next lesson?"

"Mate no we need to discuss this" Leo said " I thought you had the eyes on that Macy girl from the cheerleading squad"

"We don't want to be late…its bad behavior guys….Andrew lead the way" Riley said and looked at me.

"All right …the next lesson is only for the boys…" I said and stood up and entered the room where Patrick was waiting for us.

"Guys' we´ll be working on strength today so that our guest can work as well" he said " So I want 20 pushups, 20 crunches and 20 sit-ups repeat it 3 times and then we´re going to practice jumps."

"He had me until he said jumps" I heard Leo whisper to his team mates "Seriously practicing airy fairy jumps in boys only class?"

But the footballers didn't laugh long….to be honest they did pretty well in the first part of the lesson, the one with the pushups and all but soon they realized that jumping wasn't as airy fairy as they thought. Though some of them gave snarky remarks (quietly that is) about how stupid some of the guys arms looked (Gabriel for example) but they could deny (they didn't say anything about) how cool a male dancers jump could look like. Graceful but yet strong and when Patrick demonstrated. "So where do you guys get lunch?" Michael said "I´m starving …do you ballet gal´s eat something else than salad?"

These guys sure know nothing. I met up with Cece, we had a lunch date in the neighborhood at a local café.

"So how´s your day been?" Cec asked me "Bubbles won't shut up about the guys and how cute they look and how she is so sad that none of them have chosen her as an exchange partner….where is yours by the way?"

"Bill? He´s a bit strange, doesn't talk much he´s with his teammates…" I said and thought about the guy I saw partnered up with.

"Anyways Bubbles was sooo annoying even Carole was annoyed with her…and she was soo jealous of Tony…HOW could I forget…Tony…I tell you. She´s not herself…hardly payed attention Raine even yelled at her and she looked like a deer in the headlights. How is Riley doing?"

"Well the guys pretty much made it clear that he is dating her…and our Gabriel almost had a seizure. The guy is on and on about finding his sister"

"Well Tony left the classroom pretty fast and I didn't saw her ever since"

"Let´s stop talking about her…." I sighted and watched as our food came on the table "Let´s eat"

Dustin

"Are they always like this" Aaron asked as he eyed the footballers enjoying their lunch laughing and sometimes flirting with the girls from the academy. "Footballers I mean, back in Japan we´re not that excited about it"

"Yeah" Lily said "Basically every sportsman who doesn't know about dancing acts like this.."

"I´m just glad that we´re doing hip hop in the extra lesson…imagine the jocks trying to tap dance" I said and eyed Leo who was flirting with a 3rd year girl.

"So how´s Michael" I asked Aaron

"He´s fine actually…I mean he doesn't show it…but I get the vibe that he doesn't really want to be here but he knows why they´re here. He´s interested but finds its strange…so how is you brother doing"

"He´s the jackass he usually is…he doesn't take it serious…I just hope that he wakes up with muscle cramps tomorrow"

"Wow Dusty" Lily said "These are tones I never heard from you"

"You would use these tones too if you knew my brothers" I sighted then told them how they always made fun of me and the arts.

"Prove them wrong" Aaron said "I mean my mates back in Tokyo laughed too when I told them about auditioning for ballet schools"

We finished up lunch and went back to our classroom (of course picked up the jocks on the way) and began stretching again. Some of the footballers started to complain about being too full and not being used to train right after lunch.

"Hey Dusty" Leo yelled over the room "What´s the next lesson?"

"Contemporary" I yelled back

"So you finally go with time and realized that boys don't belong in dance" he laughed and most of the football guys laughed to earing hateful glares from the dancers.

"Oh yeah" I replied "I would love to see you perform a dance and say then that it isn't any hard training"

"You don't even know what training is little bro" Leo laughed "You're a pansy like porcelain doll"

"Try as many insults as your little peanut brain-"

"Keep on talking lil bro´ I don't believe a word"

"Then you better start believing" Tony appeared in the room (followed by Riley), she put on her strongest death glare and walked between me and my brother. "If you don't know what you are talking about don't talk at all."

"Oh and what do you know little lady" Leo smudged.

Tony's eyes got very small "I know that you guys love to fight about a small pack of leather in ball form but our guys carry around good looking girls instead of balls. It´s more of an appeal don't you think"

"WHY YOU LITTLE" Leo yelled but Michael stepped in.

"CAP she is insulting us!" he complained to his captain.

"Well you kind of insulted them too" Riley spoke up "Just saying"

"Glad to see your priorities in check Mate, team and girlfriend"

"Cool down both of you" Michael said an sighted "Both of you do 2 reps of the warm up session we did this morning…and Riley…it´s good that you stand up for your…girlfriend but remember…your on our side"

Riley turned back to Tony grinned at her and winked, then started to do the sit ups. She winked back then turned to me

"Sorry if I spoke up for you…but he was getting annoying…as annoying as brothers can get" she eyed Gabriel who was waving at her to come over "I´m heading to warm up in the girl´s dressing room to avoid the brother problem on myside"

She stuck to her word and returned just when Zach entered the room all cheery

"Glad to see you're all warmed up…hello to you to Mr. Woolf, Miss Montgomery ( they just entered the room) were repeating the modern piece of last week does anyone want show it for the guests…..how about Dustin and Tony?"

"Sure" my partner replied, redid her Ponytail and took off her contemporary shoes ( she loved dancing barefooted)

We stood back to back when the music started, then we both turned to face eachother, ran backwards four counts before a turn section. I jumped towards Toe, while she fell on her knees to do a toe rise, to get caught in my arm. Then I turned her around and lifted her above my head, she came down on one foot, demi pointe and an attitude and we grabbed eachother hands while doing a (outchie) scorpion.

"That's enough thank you" Zach said "So class, footballers, what did you noticed …what is different from classical ballet"

"They´re bodies aren't that stiff"

"The music is better"

"She has no shoes"

"They still wear tights but in black"

"Well…that's right because the normal ballet tights are too slippery to be worn without slippers… okay modern or contemporary has aspects of a good ballet technique but as the gentlemen said isn't as stiff…well it has influences of other dance styles…so we´re doing something new, Andrew get in front with me and help assisting"

That was just the first day of trouble we had four more days, but I was really glad to hear the footballers complain about muscle cramps the other day…with the exception of Riley who came into the class, holding hands with Tony and talking about exercising on the beach. Then she showed him how to properly stand at the bar and went through a warm up. The other footballers were only annoyed by it to quote not this stupid warm up again.

The day after that wasn't that better, the footballers challenged us to a small footy game, in which our team was slaughtered, probably because we didn't even knew half of the rules and tactics on the other hand the footballers messed up every dance.

Thursday was quite good, everybody was excited about the hip hop extra lesson…even the footballers. Toe was a bit nervous about Riley meeting Cooper, but the meeting seemed not so bad, at least from my perspective, they weren't extreme happy but didn't yell at each other…but still I noticed a change in Riley, there was a tension between him and his team mates, a whispering but hey that was their problem. Actually Riley turned out to be a very nice guy, he hung around our dorm with Tony and was the only one who took the ´´ be together throughout the whole day´´ exercise seriously, much to Gabriel´s annoyance. The poor guy tried to convince Daniel to show up and put Riley in his place ( how dare he touch my sis) but the elder sibling was very busy in the company at the moment.

It was Friday when Leo kind of admitted that the stretching did helped his flexibility and he did had muscle aches, after that he insulted us dancers again, causing Tony to accidently drop the filling of her vitamin water bottle onto him.

In the end there wasn't much to say, the footballers thanked us for the week and kindly invited us to visit them for one week…and Michael even suggested that maybe we can visit their end –of –year formal, since the academy didn't have one of their own. We gladly accepted….at that moment I thought that the formal is going to be a lot of fun….well I thought wrong…but that's a story for later. The weather is stating that a heatwave is just around the corner…summer is coming and with that the end of year production….we have to start preparing for war.

"Basically Toe told me that they had talked, Riley wasn't very happy at first that she had hid so much from him but I guess true love" Cece said as we took a stroll around the near park "I mean he learned so much about her these past few days…and man he does have some good hip hop moves…and speaking of the devil…look "

I darted my head to see Tony and Riley´s heads together on a bench about 20 away from us. There were trees blocking our views but you could clearly see that Riley was…..helping Tony with ….breathing problems. A phone rang and Riley had to interrupt they're exchange of air, he stroke her cheek and stood up to attend. The conversation became clearer when Riley came nearer and leaned on a tree not far from where we were standing.

"Look, I know….but no mate I´m with the team….it´s his own fault that he insulted….yes….I know…I can't …really I mean it…she means very much…yes I know I need the scholarship and all….that doesn't mean I'm not committed to the…..all right….I´ll call you back later…I have to…eh …help out my mum with some stuff"

He went through his hair, then returned to Tony. Pashing her again, this time a bit more fiercely than before.

"What was that about?" Cece asked

"I have no Idea" I replied ….but I have a bad feeling about this.
