"Well, what should we watch next?" Lind asked.

"I know! What-If machine, what if the desire blocker was never put on Keiichi?" Urd asked.

The Television screen went fuzzy.

"I got a bad feeling about this…" Keiichi muttered before the screen showed an image.

Urd smiled as she watched her Super Deluxe Love potion being brewed. All she had to do was wait two hours and then she could convert the distillate at her leisure.

Then she glanced up at the clock.

"Oh crap!" Urd exclaimed as she flew out the door. "I almost forgot! Today's the final episode of 'The Storms of Winter'!"

"Urd!" Skuld's voice shouted after her. "Where's today's paper?!"

"Don't bug me now, you little brat!" Urd shouted back as she reached the living room and turned on the television. She was pleased that not only was the television on the right channel, she had made it just in time.

"Ahh, Ichiro, my darling!" some character on 'The Storms of Winter' said.

After she sat down, a sense of paranoia began to creep up on Urd. One that said, "Your potion is about to go wrong because you forgot something.'

'Did I forget an ingredient?'

Her memory when it came to potion ingredients told her that she remembered them all.

'Was the temperature correctly set?'

Yup. No way she would forget that.

'Did I remember the timing correctly?'

As a Norn of the Past and a brewer of potions, she knew that her timing was perfection itself.

Did I remember to close and lock my do-'

Her eyes widened.

"Damn it!" Urd exclaimed as she rushed to her room, leaving behind a mini-Urd to watch the television. She had gotten there just in time to see Skuld with her hands on the newspaper, about to pull it away.

"One… Two…" Skuld said to herself as she tensed up. "Three! Skuld Magic Supreme!"

Skuld briefly thought she had heard someone say "Slicing wind shot!" but since Belldandy was outside and Urd as watching TV, she ignored it.

"Magnificent!" she said as she bowed to no one, "If I do say so myself."

She then lifted up the newspaper… to find that she was holding the edges only.

"What the?!" Skuld exclaimed, staring at the bits of paper… whose edges seemed like they had been cut with either scissors... or a wind spell.

"Skuld… dearest…" A voice said, making Skuld tense up in fear. "Just what did you think that you were doing?"

She looked around and saw Urd at the door, with a hand out like she had fired off a spell. The younger Norn decided on a tactic that served her well in the past.

"What was I doing? What were YOU doing, brewing another one of your stinky potions when we are forced to rely on these?" Skuld asked in an angry tone as she showed off the moonstone bracelet.

Skuld's faux anger crumbed as Urd began to walk towards her, still having that annoyed glare on her face.

"What I was doing was trying to pay back Keiichi for everything he's done for us… so, I'll ask again: What were you doing?" Urd continued to walk towards Skuld, who began to back away from her and the table that had the potion on it.

"I… I… I…. I was trying…." Skuld said as she quickly began to look around for an exit or an excuse. An idea came to her. She pointed behind Urd and exclaimed "What's that?!"

Not taking her eyes off of Skuld, Urd snapped her fingers and the door slammed shut behind her. Skuld cursed under her breath.

"Since you don't want to say, I'll explain for you. You were trying to interupt my TV time and also a potion that I was brewing," Urd said as she crossed her arms.

"No, I wasn't!" Skuld said, stomping a little bit. "I was trying to get the newspaper without moving your dumb smelly potion that's going to fail anyways!"

An anger tic appeared on Urd's brow as she smiled malevolently.

"Well, I know one way to handle angry little girls like you…" Urd said, making Skuld realize she might have went a little too far.

Moments later…

Urd gently placed the furious bound-and-gagged Skuld on a chair in the living room.

"Don't worry. We'll watch my show together and then a few of yours!" Urd cheerfully said as she sat down. Her mini-self re-joined her to give her memories of what she had missed.

Due to being gagged, Skuld made some angry muffles that were no doubt insulting Urd's intelligence and laziness.

"Awww… I love you too!" Urd said as she leaned back.

When her show was over, Urd changed the channel to a show that Skuld usually watched before leaving to go check on the potion.

When the timer rang, Urd then began to distill the potion into little bits of candyforms.

"Ne-an-der-thal!, Cro-mag-non!, Aus-tra-lo-pit-he-cus!, Jah-wa!, Pe-king!" Urd chanted as the potion made a 'Fwsshh' noise. "Seed of magic, seed of desire, vibrant growing seed of desire… change, now change…"

Urd then stepped away and continued to chant.

"...And weave together the bonds of love…" Urd chanted. "...Crystals of the purest Love!"

There was a 'bomf' noise and a little puff of smoke. In the vial where the liquid potion had been, were now several irresistibly beautiful multi-colored crystalline-shaped candies.

Urd picked one up and smiled.

"Heh heh…. It's ready!" Urd said to herself.

A few moments later…

Urd found Belldandy behind the temple, near the forest.

"Hey, Belldandy!" Urd loudly said, getting Belldandy's attention. Once she got near the Norn of the Present, Urd held out a bag of candy and asked, "Wanna try something tasty?"

"Ooh! They're so cute!" Belldandy exclaimed as she clasped her hands together. "It's some kind of candy…?"

"Yep," Urd replied with a smile and a nod.

"They look delicious!" Belldandy said before she ate one. Once she ate it, a moment passed before she said, "Yummy!"

Urd, who had been expecting a different reaction, nearly fell over. She managed to say, "I...I'm glad you like them, Bell."

As she walked away, she worried, 'That was just too weird… Maybe there might be a delayed effect on her… So better go hide Skuld in my room and soundproof it...'

"Thanks again, Urd!" Belldandy cheerfully said.

What Urd didn't know was due to her younger sister's training as a valkyrie, Belldandy was able to detect the effect of the potion that Urd had slipped her.

Using internal magic to put the effect in stasis, she thought to herself, 'Hmm… what's this? A weak aphrodisiac? She probably still claims it's a love potion because it did help her one time with that couple...'

Then an idea blossomed in Belldandy's mind, bringing a little smile to her lips.

'Perhaps I can use this… Maybe one of the problems with my relationship with Keiichi is that we're both waiting for a signal from each other… Maybe this might help...' Belldandy thought as she undid the stasis spell and embraced the potion, which had the unintended result of heightening its effect on her more than it ordinarily would have. Swept up in the euphoria, she allowed its effects to continue.

The What-If Machine now showed the events unfolding pretty much as they did before.

"...It's just not right," Keiichi said, as he wrapped a blanket around Belldandy. "Something's wrong here."

"Why not? Do you… dislike me?" Belldandy asked in a worried tone.

Keiichi looked away and answered with, "No! But… I like the Belldandy that's straightforward and honest, who doesn't know how to distrust people… Who's sweet and kind to everybody…"

Before he could continue, he had heard a quiet 'pop' noise come from Belldandy's direction. Looking over, Keiichi saw that Belldandy had put one of her hands on her face. Her hand stopped glowing as she put her hand down, she looked up and smiled at him, in her usual way, not in the lustful way she had all day with him.

"I… needed to hear that. The little noise was a cure spell going off..." Belldandy replied. Now she looked away, appearing a bit wistful. "Earlier, Urd slipped me a… a potion to help with our relationship. Due to some training and also how weak the potion was, I caught it in time, but I decided it's effects could help us."

"Bell…" Keiichi uttered as he started to reach out for her.

"But your words reminded me of what I like about you… and told me of what a mistake it would have been if you had accepted me while I was under Urd's potion…" Belldandy stated as she stood up. She turned around and opened the door.

She stood there for a few moments, pondering what to do. She heard Keiichi sigh, but was unable to tell what he was feeling. Regret? Sadness?

Still standing at the doorway, Belldandy looked back and asked, "Keiichi-san?"

Keiichi looked up and asked back, "Yes?"

"I have a question…" Belldandy said as she stepped back into his room…. and shut the door.

"...Bell? You're sure Urd's potion isn't still effecting you?" Keiichi asked as Belldandy sat besides him on the floor. Belldandy nodded.

And smiled.

"As for my question…" Belldandy said before she kissed him. Keiichi stared into her eyes. Seeing that Belldandy was herself, Keiichi decided to give in this time and kissed her back.

The next day…

The two were embracing each other as they slowly woke up.

"Good morning," Belldandy breathed as she kissed Keiichi. The moment her lips touched his, Keiichi fully awoke.

"Good morning, Bell," Keiichi said before they let each other go to get dressed. Keiichi pulled out a portable partition wall out to allow Belldandy and himself to dress in private. As he was putting on a pair of pants, he thought, 'I half-expected Urd to show up and start offering better positions… Heck, I expected Skuld to-'

Keiichi gulped in fear before he uttered, "Bell…. What should we do about your sisters' reactions to… to what we did last night?"

Belldandy paused for a moment before she replied with, "What we shared is between us. For now, let us be discreet, yes?"

Keiichi put on a shirt as he said, "That'd be fine, but Urd did drug you and she won't hesitate to bring it up in front of Skuld."

Belldandy paused for a few more seconds this time.

"Wait here and I'll speak with them. Once I do, I'll come back and let you know to come to breakfast," Belldandy replied. "Are you dressed yet?"

"Yes, are you?" Keiichi asked back.

"I am, Keiichi," Belldandy said as she moved the partition wall out of the way. She noticed the nervous look on his face and studied it. "Keiichi, my love, are you feeling alright?"

"Yeah, just thinking about how long I'll be waiting here," Keiichi replied, sounding unsure.

Belldandy then came to a conclusion.

"Keiichi, dearest, there is no need to worry. We can always ask Urd later for advice," Belldandy said before she kissed him and left the room. Just before she left, she said, "Don't worry, it won't take long."

Keiichi still had a expression of concern on his face for a few moments after Belldandy had left.

"Either I'm doomed or Urd is going to have a lot of fun…." Keiichi muttered to himself.

Urd sat up and stretched before looking at the bed she had dragged in from Skuld's room. On the bed was a tied-up and gagged Skuld.

On Urd's walls were silence barrier wards. If everything went as well as Urd thought, the barriers were needed to prevent Skuld from learning what was happening too soon and becoming... overwrought.

"Now, who's going to be a good girl today?" Urd asked as she stood over Skuld. Skuld's response was to glare daggers at her older sister. "Eh, good enough."

Urd then untied Skuld, but chose to let the younger Norn get the gag out herself. After she did so, Skuld yelled, "Aaggahh! Why did you do that, you idiot?!"

As she cleaned an ear out with a pinkie finger, Urd replied with, "To stop you from doing something dumb, you brat…"

"Stop me from doing…" Skuld uttered as she thought about what Urd had said. Skuld pointed at Urd and loudly demanded, "Tell me what you did! Now!"

Her eyes dancing with delight, Urd grinned at her and said, "After breakfast."

Urd then left the room and Skuld stomped after her, muttering curses and threats.

While entering the kitchen, Urd and Skuld both noticed that Belldandy was humming a song that seemed to make them slightly happier. Urd peered closely at Belldandy, wondering. The Norn of the Present seemed to be radiating happiness.

With a I've-got-wonderful-tidings smile, Belldandy placed several plates of food on the table.

As Urd and Skuld sat down, the eldest Norn was about to say something when a portal opened up above them. A pair of woman's legs came out of the portal…

And her thighs got trapped by the width of the portal.

"Oh… It is a little tight…" The woman said.

"Mother!" Belldandy and Skuld cried out.

"Need some help?" Urd asked.

"No… No, I can get out by myself," Ansuz replied before she used a spell to help get out of the portal. Because the Portal was above the table and not the floor, She wasn't able to maneuver well and landed on the food.

Ansuz blinked a few times as she was aware that she was sitting in something wet.

"What… am I sitting in?" Ansuz asked in a worried tone.

"It appears to be miso soup," Urd answered.

The screen went blank

"Aw, it left out all the good stuff," said Urd with a disappointed look on her face.

For once Peorth agreed with the goddess of the past. "Most unfortunate indeed."

"Yes. I mean, it gets us in the mood and then nothing," grumbled Urd. "Hey squirt! Are you sure your machine isn't broken? There was a bit missing from the video. Just saying..."

"No!" shouted the youngest of the goddesses. "And even if it was, I wouldn't fix it!"

"Heh. Guess you're going to pick up the family business after all," teased her eldest sister as she crossed her arms while giving Skuld an amused look.

That somewhat confused the young goddess for a moment. "What business are you talking about?"

"Why, blocking people's desires of course. Don't know about the rest, but your sub-par machine really blocked mine."

"Kiii, take that back, Urd!" shouted Skuld as she was about to pull a bomb on her. "I'm not going to pick any job like that and my machine isn't sub-par!"

"Now, now," said Belldandy. "Behave yourselves..."

Keiichi blinked at what was now his mother-in-law showing up. "She's showing up that early...the Gate!"

Belldandy looked worried herself, but nodded. "Yes, the Gate. The second part of this question will probably be us facing the Gate, with much less experience."

He wrapped his arms around her, and nuzzled into her neck. "We'll make it, won't we?"

Belldandy wrapped arms around him in exchange. "I don't know. That's really early in the relationship. But if we do make it...it implies a lot about the couples who did not."

Keiichi whispered, "We grew a lot...with the Angel Eater, and the Lord of Terror, and the journey through Hell...I guess what we're mainly going to find out is if we could've faced those trials as husband and wife. So it's a story worth continuing." He trailed some kisses on her neck, a reminder that the real one didn't have a desire blocker anymore either.

Both Urd and Peorth planned to modify the machine later that night to include a hentai viewer.

Skuld looked upon the screen with concern and a touch of horror.

"Skuld?" Chrono asked, worried about the young goddess.

"I'm… worried that the me in the video is going to overreact once she learns what happened. I was a bit of a brat back then…" Skuld answered as she looked at Chrono.

"As for what I thought of the video, it seemed…. a bit too cookie-cutter in a way…" Chrono said.

at the abandoned arcade…

"Girls?" Chibi-Hild asked.

"I enjoyed Ansuz's introduction," Mokkurkalfi said with a smirk.

"Bah, since it's happening early, they'll fail the Judgement Gate!" Mara grunted. She didn't seem too pleased with what she said.

"And why do you seemed displeased at it?" Chibi-Hild asked, tilting her head a little.

"It should be me that tears them apart..." Mara muttered.

"Ah… well, as for what I thought of it, I agree with your thoughts, Mokkurkalfi. I can only wonder if it will be brought up again…" Chibi-Hild said.

Don't worry, folks, I'm not going to write a hentai chapter, either on this site or any other. Nor will I ever give permission to anyone to write a lemon version of this fic.

While working on this chapter, I remembered my dislike for the early version of Urd and Skuld.
