Dean was frustrated. No, it went beyond that. It was soul-deep and hurt his heart to think of mom still there, in that apocalyptic wasteland. And Gabriel. Whom they'd thought was dead, was alive and could help. He knew it wasn't that simple, but at the same time, it was MOM. He'd move heaven and earth to help her. Dean needed to swing at something, someone. But his fury left him a wreck, all fight and no action.
"Dean," Sam had said with a sharp tone, concerned about his older brother. Lately he'd been distancing himself once again, treating himself like he was disposable, trash while Sam remained the star in his life. "We'll figure out something, we always do."
"Every freakin' time, though, Sam. We keep on going with the never-ending climb. It's a death match and we have been scraping by the skin of our teeth. It just never gets better. And that spineless, dickless, all porn stars in Monaco and fluffy kittens douchebag, just leaves.
"Gabriel just needs some time. He's been through a lot right now, he'll come around…" Sam trailed off, watching as the fight seemed to drain out of his brother. For everybody's sake, he hoped he was right.
