Posting this a day later than I planned, sorry about that. Expect another chapter of Cry Me a River up before Monday.
It's a little short, but it's a fluffy one folks.
Enjoy! :)
"Come on now Tempe, don't look at me like that." Russ said.
"I'm going to miss you." his sister explained, "I don't want there to be four years in between every visit we make to each other."
"There won't be, we've already made arrangements for the summer, I'm never going to leave you for that long again, Tempe." Russ said, enveloping her in a hug.
Seeley watched the exchange from afar, and even from a distance, he could tell that Temperance was having a hard time dealing with her emotions. He knew that having to watch her brother leave again was going to be hard on her.
He watched Russ kiss Temperance on the cheek, then step out of the hug. He pulled up the handle on the suitcase, waved to Booth who was in the living room with the kids. Booth waved back, then watched him walk out the front door.
Temperance walked back into the living room, an audible sigh escaping her lips.
Repositioning the way he was holding Alaina, Seeley patted the couch cushion neighboring his, "Come 'ere."
Temperance walked over and sat. Seeley wrapped his arm around her shoulders, and she willingly leaned against his side.
"I know this is hard for you." he said, rubbing his hand up and down her arm.
He could feel her nod against him, and he kissed her hair. Temperance buried her face into his ribs, and Seeley heard her sniffle.
"Hey, look at me." he said.
She made no movement to indicate that she'd heard him, so he wrapped his arm around her tighter. He could feel her silent cries shaking her body, but he knew that all he could do in this situation was wait.
Eventually, Alaina began fussing in his arm that wasn't wrapped around Temperance.
"I think she wants her mom." Seeley said, watching Temperance lift her head.
She removed her arms from around his torso, and Seeley handed her the infant. Temperance looked down at Alaina with a watery smile, sniffing back tears.
"Hi Alaina." she whispered, her voice somewhat nasally from crying.
Seeley wrapped his arm around her again, and she went right back to her previous position leaning on his side.
"Bones, look at me." he said, but her eyes didn't move, "Temperance..."
At the mention of her first name, she lifted her chin to look at him.
"He's going to come back." he said, "I know that you're reliving some past memories, but you're going to see him again soon, Bones. It's not going to be another four years between now and the next time you see him, it's only going to be a few months."
"I know, I just...I missed him. I miss him already, he and I have lost part of the bond we used to share, and I feel like time is the reason for that."
"It'll come back, Bones. Believe me, it will. He'll come back too, trust me. I already made sure of that." he said with a smirk.
She let out a small laugh, "What did you threaten him with?"
"Nothing. I just told him that if he ever devastates you like that again, I'll kill him."
"Booth!" she exclaimed, swatting his chest, "You did not!"
"Sure did. I told you, Bones. Before he and I got to 'officially' bond, I just couldn't stand to look at him knowing that he caused you all of that pain. And I would just be so angry with him, and heartbroken for you, if he were to ever do that to you again." he said, kissing her hair, "Granted, it wouldn't be the exact same situation, but you get what I mean. Him not talking to you for long periods of time."
"What did you say to him?" she asked.
"When you went up to put Tasha to bed last night and he and I were watching the game, I just turned down the TV, looked at him, and said, "Look Russ, your sister loves you. I know that she won't say this to you, but I will, because I saw the pain you caused her when it was still raw. If you ever hurt her like that again, I personally will hunt you down myself, and end you." Then he sort of just stared at me, and when I asked if we had an understanding, he just nodded." Seeley explained.
"Why did you do that?" she asked.
"Why? Because I love you, and I never want to see you hurt like that again." he said, "I know I've caused you pain, and I don't like the feeling one bit. I just wish there was a way for me to wash away all the pain in your life, I guess this was a way of me doing that. Making sure he comes back."
"But Booth, you've already helped my pain go away, even the pain you, yourself, caused."
"How?"
"Natasha, Ashton, and Alaina. They've helped ease me of my pain, when I'm with them, nothing else is relevant. Without you, I wouldn't have them. And then there's yourself. You made me feel loved when I thought no one else could, and I..." she trailed off, "I'm not sure how I can voice what I'm feeling."
"You don't have to, I know what you're trying to say. I get the same feeling, with you and them. I love all four of you, with my whole being. Without our little family, I'd be nothing." he said, giving her a peck on the lips, "I love you. And I love who I am because of you."
She smiled at him, "Our family isn't that little anymore," she chuckled, "but I love you too, Booth."
He kissed her again, only to be interrupted by the wail of a baby boy who had been napping upstairs.

So, what else would you guys like to see in this story? Leave your thoughts in a review or PM me. I'm open to new ideas.
I've been revising the first ten(ish) chapters of this story, which by the way, are just absolute crap when it comes to quality in my opinion. They're not updated on here yet, but they should be soon. I'll try to have that finished by the next time I update this story, which will probably be Wednesday.
Review if you would like, and have a nice morning/day/night :)
