I have been looking into Martin since I decided to humor Stef's hunch. I did background check on him and we definitely have probable cause plus his assault too Stef we can put him away and hopefully for a long time.

He definitely had his buried secrets. Apparently he was married to a girl named Katie and Michelle was his side chick. Almost four years ago Katie was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Her doctor told her she has sixth months to live. Martin got into a physical fight insisting he was wrong and she just needed better care. Than a month later Katie filed for divorce probably because she found out about Michelle and Martin just disappeared. He was last seen by his friend that he was at the bar with that night but Martin was reportedly not drunk but still left his friend. Than no one found him until we did.

After going missing there was multiple reports of black girls going missing all over ten states surroundings California. Many of the houses they had where in very rural towns and Martin was the one who owned them and than sold them. Yeah now it's really getting fishy. Since when would the slave own the land?

I was about to call it a day being that we had enough for probable cause and I wasn't in an overachieving mood when something else caught my eye. Their was a document on a Erica Marx who died in a car crash. As a read more into it I figured out that Martin was the driver and her older brother. At the young age of almost seventeen Martin drove though a stop sign and was hit by a truck killing his seven year old sister. Paramedics reported that Martin did CPR on her for about twenty minutes until they showed up. Unfortunately the CPR didn't work and Erica dead. Martin's parents later put him in counseling but he barely showed up to them.

Yeah I could imagine that would screw someone up. Well we have enough probable cause and with his attack on Stef I would be surprised if this didn't go her way.

Stef

I woke up too the sound of Lena's voice.

"Sorry do you mind if I leave this light on?" she asked and I looked over at the lamp shining in my eyes.

"Sure are you ok?" I asked noticing the scared look on her face.

"Yeah just want the light on, I can turn it off through" she said sounding like she felt bad.

"No it's ok. Did you have a nightmare?" I asked and she nodded.

"You ok or…" I said really tired but still trying to be supportive.

"I'll be ok" she said still not getting back into her own bed.

"You can sleep here" I offered moving over and she hesitated but got into my half of a bed with me. I won't complain though because it was just great to have her in the same bed as me. I wrapped my arms around her happily and drifted off to sleep.

Lena

I sat talking to Sharon later the next day.

"Can I borrow some money from you by any chance?" I asked hopefully.

"Yeah what for?" She asked.

"Well Stef's birthday is coming up soon and she deserves something nice" I said. She has done so much for me. Treated me so great and she's such a sweetheart. She deserves something amazing and I don't have any money to get her what she deserves. I will pay her back, I want it to be from me.

"Oh yeah honey I'll give you some money and take you. Do you have any ideas?" She asked and I sighed.

"No I have no clue, do you have any ideas? I want to get something she would really like." I said and she nodded.

"I'm not sure, we will come up with something. By the way you don't have to pay me back" she said but I shook my head.

"No I want to, I want it to be from me" I said.

"It will be from you since you picked it out for her that's what matters to her. Besides how do you think you are getting money for yourself. You don't really have a job?" She asked and I sighed.

"Well how do I get one?" I asked even though the thought made me anxious. Just the thought of being away from Stef and out of the house scared me.

"Oh honey I don't think that's a good idea. I don't think you are ready for that yet and I really think Stef would actually hundred percent say no to it." She said and I sighed.

"Ok well is there something I can do here to earn enough to pay you off" I asked and she sighed.

"Honey I mean it you don't need to pay me back. It will mean so much to Stef that you got her a gift you don't need to worry about paying for it." She said and I sighed.

"Tell you what you come up with two ideas for Stef so I don't have to and we call it even" she said and I nodded. I have no idea what to get her let alone what for Sharon to get her but it seems like more than a fair trade. I'll come up with something eventually.

Stef

I got a call from Mike and I hope this is good news and they also have enough to get him sentenced with being a part of kidnapping and the killing of so many women. I hate this man so much. Not only was he probably a part of the plan that got my wife kidnapped and tortured and other innocent woman kidnapped, tortured and killed but he did it from the inside. Which means that he got their trust, he pretended to be the good guy and all this time he was one of them. He's sick.

"Hey please tell me he's going to jail for more than hitting me" I said hoping he found something.

"Yeah we got pretty good probable cause." he said and it's good but I just hope it's enough probable cause that he will stay in jail.

"Do we have anything to keep him their?" I asked.

"Yeah probable cause" he said like the smart ass he can be.

"...and a lot of it" he said and I sighed of relief.

"Oh good what do we got?" I asked needing to understand why this ass would do this.

"Get this Martin was the driver of the car when he got into an accident that killed his seven year old sister. He did CPR on her for fifteen minutes until help arrived but she didn't make it." he said. Well that's traumatic but that doesn't prove anything.

"What does that have do with…?" I started to ask and he sighed.

"You know if you stopped interrupting people you might get answers quicker" he said and I rolled my eyes.
"Ok sorry go on"

"His wife Katie was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer and he flipped out attacked the doctor insisting she needs better care. Than she filed for divorce probably because of Michelle on the side and then he vanished" he continued.

"That's not enough" I said frustrated.

"It would be if you let me get to the end" he said annoyed and I groaned.

"Fine continue"

"He wasn't drunk that day everyone overlooked it because they thought he was roofied like the rest of the men victims that Ericson I actually kidnapped. However his friend said he wasn't drunk when he left his friend their randomly. Than what the cops also overlooked because they weren't that good is that the houses belonged to Martin" he said. Wow that's bold.

"How did they overlook that?" I asked surprised cops would overlook that.

"I don't know and I don't know why they would have Martin own the houses but you are interrupting again" he said and I sighed.

"Anyways does it sound like enough for you?" he asked.

"They can probably still fight it." I said and he sighed.

"Well I mean unless we get a confession it's all we got" he said and I sighed.

"He's not gonna confess" I said.

"To us but I know someone he might" he said and I sighed. I don't want too put Lena in the middle like that.

"No I won't do that too her" I said. I don't even want her seeing him.

"I understand you not wanting her to see him again and not putting her in the middle but lets not be ignorant. She is going to have to testify eventually and she is going to have to pick a side now are you going too just hope she picks your side?" He said and I sighed.

"I just don't know if I want to bring up Martin again I mean he just went to jail and she is still going to be upset about it." I said and he sighed.

"With all due respect maybe it's time that you stop babying her." he said and I sighed.

"I'm not and thanks for the marriage advice, dr. Phil but i'm good" I said and he laughed.

"Ok let me know if you change you're mind" he said and hung up. I sighed not sure what to do. I think I will talk to her about it again and get a feel for where she's at.

Lena

I woke up from a dream about Junior and wiped the tears away. I miss him and I just wish that he was here. More tears came as I got up and went to the bathroom and pulled the towel off of the dresser and another towel fell from beneath it. I grabbed it and saw the little lion towel blanket thing for a baby. I remember Stef talking about us having a baby that didn't make it either.

Frankie.

I laid on the bed and Stef came in and I smiled innocently at her.

"Honey what about bed rest don't you understand?" she asked and I groaned.

"The staying in bed all the time and relying on my wife too get me everything" I said and she sighed.

"I know it sucks but you have too take care of yourself " she said sitting next to me and wrapping her arms around me.
"I want my beautiful wife and our little girl to be healthy so please don't be a difficult patient" she said kissing my cheek.

I sighed, "I will try but no promises."

"I'm here too take care of you please let me" she said and I smiled as she handed me with icecream.

"Thank you my love" I said and she kissed me.

Stef

I talked too Lena's therapist and the hypnotist therapist trying to figure out if it's a good idea. The both say that it is possible that she would have to relive a memory of that or a few. I hate to put her though it but as they say it has too get worse too get better. The therapist thinks at this rate we are looking at at least another year before she even has most of her memories back. I don't think it's healthy (for either of us) too live in this state for that long.

Besides I will be their with her and the therapist can bring her out of it if it gets too bad and she can't get herself out. They both also claim most memories brought up will be good pre-asshole taking her time period. Which is what we are trying to get her too remember.

"So what is your thoughts on hypnosis?" I asked and she shrugged seeming at war with herself.

"Listen I'm gonna be honest with you. It's probably gonna get get worse before it gets better but i'm here. I'll be there and we can pull you out of it if it's too bad" I said and she seemed a little scared.

"You don't have to do it if you don't want too" I said and knowing she needs to feel like the choice is hers. She looked uncertain for a bit but sighed.

"And you really think it is gonna make me better?" she asked and I nodded.

"I do but only if you really want it to. You have too want to remember" I said remembering him saying if she doesn't want it to work even a little bit don't waste your money because it won't work.

"I want to remember" she said and I smiled at her.

"You also have too kind of accept that you're not Julia. You have too want to be Lena and be ok with being her even the things that you weren't ok with before" I said worried. I know I told her before she has time to figure out her sexuality but the doctor pretty much said if she goes in with any doubts about who she was (any little bit of homophobia essentially) she will subconsciously stop it from working.

"So I have to choose who I want to be?" she asked looking uncertain again.

"Pretty much yeah" I said and she looked deep in thought for a bit.

"Give it some thought you don't have to decide anything anytime soon." I said patting her leg and giving her some space. That is a hell of a lot to ask of someone. She has too just accept being someone she barely knows. I know it's gonna take a while but I hope she comes around eventually.

Ok so sorry for the wait but I started my senior year of high school so that's going too unfortunately keep me pretty busy but if it all possible i will try to write over the weekends for you. Anyways a lot of things to say about this story.

1. I wish I could say that Lena is going just start to get better from here on she has a little bit of a rough patch first (don't hate me) but she does have to get worse first

2. We are so close to the end of Martin another chapter pretty much

3. Please keep in mind that lena is in a pretty teenaged mental stage she is going to have to choose who she wants too be so that is a story line and sorry but i don't think it is realistic for her too just accept that

4. also too the reviewer who says about them dating when she's getting her memory back that will happen eventually
