Galinda woke up that afternoon to see that Boq was still sleeping in the same position he fell asleep in. She smiled and got up out of bed, going to her suitcase to get her outfit she had packed for that day. She walked into the bathroom and changed, brushing her teeth right after. She walked back out of the bathroom to get her makeup and hair bag and then set it on the bathroom counter as she walked back in.
Boq woke up an hour later. He yawned and stretched before jumping out of bed. "May I use the bathroom?" he asked, walking over to Galinda.
"I guess..." Galinda joked, walking back into the main room. "Just don't touch my hair curler! It's hot!" She waited by the desk.
She walked back inside when Boq walked out and finished the other half of her hair, doing her make up after.
Boq went to the other room to change and then walked into the bathroom to brush his teeth. He spiked up his hair and made sure he looked presentable for Galinda's family.
Galinda smiled at him. "You look nice!" she said, brushing off the loose powder foundation that fell onto her dress.
Boq was flattered. "Thank you." he smiled. He then went in search for the luggage cart, and after finding it, he brought it up to the room.
They stacked their luggage on the cart after packing absolutely everything they brought. Boq grabbed the hotel key, and then they both went down to the lobby with the cart.
They packed the luggage in the car the same way they had before they left Shiz. Boq went inside to check out and turn in the key. He got back in the car afterwards and buckled his seatbelt. "Where do we go from here?" he asked as he was starting the car.
Galinda gave directions to the way to her parents. She knew her mother would make them lunch, because she was that type of person.
When they pulled up to the driveway, they both got a bit nervous. Galinda was surprised to see her niece and nephew out in the yard playing in the sprinkler.
They both sighed and got out of the car and walked together to the door. The kids didn't even notice her. Again she was surprised.
Galinda knocked on the door, taking a deep breath while doing so. It had been quite some time since she had been home. She held Boq's hand tightly and bit her bottom lip, waiting for someone to come to the door and open it.
Boq squeezed her hand back. He looked at her and smiled. "Why are you so nervous? It's your parents."
Galinda sighed. "I haven't seen them in forever, and I've changed so much!" She looked at the ground. "I just.."
The door opened. She quickly looked up to see her sister smiling at her. Galinda smiled back and hugged her sister.
"Who's this?" her sister asked, knowing it was a person romantically interested in her little sister.
Boq froze, thinking that Galinda's older sister was flirting with him.
Galinda giggled. "This is my boyfriend, Boq!"
"Uhh.. H-Hi?" Boq awkwardly answered.
Galinda's sister laughed. "He's something, Sprinks."
Galinda sighed with embarrassment. "Galiana!"
"Oh! Sorry!" she joked.
Galinda laughed. "Boq, this is my sister, Galiana."
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Galiana stated.
"You as well." Boq replied with a smile.
"Well, don't just stand here! Go inside! Mom is dying to see you, Galinda!"
Galinda smiled and walked inside with Boq, clutching his hand.
"EVAN! WHAT DID I TELL YOU ABOUT PLA-"
The door shut behind them. Galinda sighed as she looked around, remembering the memories she had in the house she used to call home. They walked into the kitchen, where Galinda's mother was making lunch.
Galinda loved the smell of her mother's cooking. Her mind overflowed with more memories. "You need some help, Momsie?"
"I'm fine, but thank you, Galian- Galinda?"
Galinda hugged her mother tightly with a smile. "How's Popsicle?"
"Well, he's doing better than earlier, but still pretty bad." her mother replied.
Galinda sighed.
"Who's this?"
"This is Boq, my boyfriend." Galinda smiled.
"Well, don't let your sister steal him." her mother giggled.
Galinda giggled along. "This is not high school, Momsie."
"I'd hope not!"
They both laughed as Galiana walked in.
"I swear to the Unnamed God! Those kids are driving me crazy!" UGH!"
Galinda shook her head. "I'll go get them."
Galinda walked outside and smiled at the twins playing in the sprinkler. They finally noticed her and ran to give her a hug.
"Don't hug me! You're dren-"
The children hugged her tightly.
"We missed you Auntie Galinda!"
"Yeah! I wish you didn't have to go to school so we could see you!"
A tear rolled down Galinda's cheek. She never had gotten the chance to spend time with her niece and nephew. "Let's go inside and get you two some nice, clean clothes."
