Eternal ga Kill

Kill 1: The Corrupted Capital

Once again, I find myself back in this place.

"We did it! We finally did it!"

I have dreams. Strange dreams. I'm in a tank surrounded by men in lab coats.

"With this, the Empire will have to accept us!"

The Empire...a superpower that has lasted for over 1000 years, boasting vast territories and resources. That much I at least know, or rather, what I've learned.

*BUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUBUB!*

"What? What's going on!?"

My dreams never get far. After a few second, my body starts to move on it's own, banging on the glass of the tank that I was in.

"His vital signs are going haywire! He's gone berserk!"

Just like how I remember, I somehow find the strength to break the glass and get free. Everything goes blank after that as the only thing I can remember after that...were screams.

(Imperial Year: 1024)

The sound of chirping birds and leaves rustling against the wind could be heard all over the green forest. Down a straight, dirt road, a cart ridden by two men rode and sat calmly as their horses pulled their cart along calmly and at a good pace. Everything was fine, fine enough that one of the men was whistling a tune to himself...when it happened.

*BOOM!*

Cracks in the earth were seen before exploding out from underground was a giant, cockroach-like monster.

"A-An Earth Dragon!" One of the men exclaimed in surprise and fear.

"I didn't know they came out to main roads like these!" The other men said as the horses were panicking before the sound of the Earth Dragon growled as it set its sight on them. "Shit, run!"

And run they did. Abandoning their cart, the men made a run for it. But the Earth Dragon was fast as one of its clawed arms dove down to them. They screamed as they saw their life flash before their eyes.

"Heh, saving people and getting myself know. Seems I'll be able to do both!"

*SLICE!*

The sound of steel flying could be heard before the sound of fleshing being sliced off was heard. Blood spewed from the Earth Dragon as it's severed arm fell to the ground right behind the one who sliced off its arm.

Both the men stopped running when they saw the monster's arm being cut off before they turned to see who had come to their rescue.

The one who had saved them was a young teenage boy. He is of average height and has medium length brown hair with a cowlick that falls with its weight. He wears a white, high collar jacket over a tan sweater vest, a pair of black pants, brown gloves and combat boots. And finally, he wields a short sword in his hand, the tool used to slice off the monster's arm.

"First-Class Danger Beast, Earth Dragon..." The boy began as he turned to the best and said Beast did them same to him. The boy smirked. "A worthy opponent."

Danger Beasts. To put it simply, they are extremely hostile creatures and will attack any human who dares to wander into their territory. They are dangerous, as their name implies, but that doesn't mean they are unkillable.

The Danger Beast glares down at the boy who merely replies, "I see you're angry."

*BAM!*

In one swift motion, the Earth Dragon slams his unsevered arm down at the boy but feels nothing under its claws. It notices a shadow above it and looks up to see the boy above it.

"It's over!" The boy declared before he descends upon the beast and in a flurry of quick strikes, the boy lands on the ground, sword poised as blood erupts from multiple wounds on the Earth Dragon as it soon falls, having been slain by the kid as if it were nothing.

"A-Amazing...!" One of the men breathed out in shock before he and his friend ran over to the boy.

"Holy shit, that was amazing, kid! You actually defeated a Danger Beast single-handedly!" The other men said as the boy sheathes his sword and turns to them...with a wide, cocky smile.

"Well of course! For me, something like that was a piece of cake!" The boy gloated, not noticing the deadpan looks of the men. "My name's Tatsumi, by the way. Better remember it because it'll be the name of the most famous man in the cap-!"

*POW!*

"Guh!" Before the now named Tatsumi could finish, he was bonked on the back of the head, causing him to bite his tongue.

"Tatsumi, how many times have I told you not gloat in front of people?" Tatsumi, who held out his bitten tongue, turned to the one who had just hit him.

It was another teen like him albeit a bit older by appearance. He stood a good inch over Tatsumi. His black, slightly spiky hair matched the shade of a raven's feather as it fell down to his chin. His blue eyes seemed to match the shade of a baby's blanket or the sky itself as he wore a tattered cream colored cloak over a black long sleeved shirt and brown pants. Covering his feet were brown combat boots as a sheathed combat knife could be seen hanging at the back of his belt.

"Please forgive my friend here." The man said to the men with a small bow. "He's...yeah, he can be a bit dumb sometimes."

"I am not!" Tatsumi protested. "And where were you when I was fighting that Danger Beast, Haru!?"

"I thought I let you handle it alone." The now named Haru said as he went and lightly kicked the corpse of the Danger Beast. "If something like this overgrown roach did you in then going to the capital would have been pointless."

"So you two are going to the capital?" One of the men asked.

"You bet!" Tatsumi exclaimed with a wide grin. "Getting success in the capital! It's every country boy's dream!"

At this did skeptical looks appear on the men's faces and both Tatsumi and Haru quickly caught this.

"What's wrong?" Haru asked them.

The two men then look at each other before turning to them.

"The Imperial Capital isn't what you think it is. It's lively but their are monsters more dangerous than this Earth Dragon."

"What do you mean? Do Danger Beast come into the city too?" Tatsumi asked in a confused tone.

"Not Danger Beast, people." The other man said. "People with the hearts of monsters. The place is full of them."

Both Haru and Tatsumi looked at one another before Tatsumi spoke for them.

"Thanks for the advice but we can't turn back now." Tatsumi said as he placed his sword back into the scabbard on his back. "We...have to make money in order to save our village. Let's go, Haru."

"Right." Haru nodded before following after Haru, the two carrying their own bags.

"Those kids have no idea what they're getting themselves into." One of the men commented as he and his friend watch the two young men walk down the dirt path.

"I'll give three or four days tops before they're killed." The other man said before they both went back to their carriage.

Unknown to the two men, despite being quite a distance away, Haru had heard everything the two men said. How he heard their voices from such a distance, well even Haru himself doesn't know. But he made a mental note to keep his guard up once he and Tatsumi arrived at the capital.

(Later, Capital)

It took about half an hour later for Haru and Tatsumi to arrive at the entrance to the capital and the whole place was bustling with activity. People were walking around, visiting many stores. People shouting out various items, advertising them to gain interest from some people. Plus, in the distance, they can make out a god forsaken castle, probably at the center of the Capital itself.

"So this is the capital." Haru said, letting out a small whistle.

"This place is amazing!" Tatsumi said in awe, stars filling his eyes as he stared at everything around them. "I bet we can buy a whole village if we do well here!"

"I don't know about that." Haru said with a small smile before walking ahead. "Come on, let's go find the military barracks. If we're lucky, Sayo and Ieyasu might also be there."

"Good idea! Let's go!" Tatsumi excitedly ran off, forcing Haru to follow after him quickly lest he lose him in the crowd. And as the two ran, they never noticed that a woman had been listening to what they said at a nearby cafe.

(Few Hours Later)

"Get out!"

Quite literally, Tatsumi was kicked out of the building as he rolled and tumbled out. He quickly recovered and got up to glare at the man who kicked him out while Haru went over to his side to help him up.

"Hey! What the hell! You could at least test me!" Tatsumi exclaimed as Haru helped him up.

"Get real you fucking brat!" The man that literally threw Tatsumi exclaimed angrily. "You'd have to win a lottery before you can even become a soldier!"

OK, so here's what happened. After a few hours of wandering around did Haru and Tatsumi find the barracks. They also found that they weren't the only ones applying so it took a while for them to reach the officer handing out forms. Being the impatient man that Tatsumi is(or at least as Haru has come to know) the teen had went and drawn his sword to show off his skills. But before he could show off said skills, the officer had went and grabbed him before throwing him out of the building. Now back to the story...

"Ever since this recession started we've been having applicants flooding in!" A noticeable tic mark could be seen on the officer's head as he angrily pointed at Tatsumi. "We can't go around and test each and everyone of you! There's a limit to how many we can hire!"

"Oh...is that so?" Tatsumi asked with a sweatdrop.

"If you understand all that can scram you fucking shit! And take your friend with you!" The man said before he then closed the door with a loud *slam!*

Haru let out a sigh before turning to Tatsumi. "Now what do we do? You just blew it for the both of us."

"Maybe we can make a name for ourselves by causing a ruckus?" Tatsumi suggested weakly as he smiled apologetically at his friend.

"And get sent to jail? Yeah, no thanks." Haru scowled at the apologetic teen before letting out another sigh. "I didn't see any sign of Sayo and Ieyasu so they're probably not here yet. Now how are we supposed to make money?"

"Hey there!" A female voice suddenly speaks up.

"Hmm?" Both Haru and Tatsumi turn to see who was talking to them.

It was a young woman with short blonde hair with two long bangs that frame the sides of her head and golden eyes. She wears a revealing outfit with a black tube top that revealed a large portion of her breasts, pants, boots and a scarf around her neck.

"You two seem to be troubled." The young woman said with a smile. "Can I lend a hand?"

"Who're you?" Haru asked while Tatsumi was...distracted.

'So this is the capital...' Were Tatsumi's thoughts as he was staring at the woman's chests.

'I should hit him, but this woman here isn't even trying to hide them.' Haru thought as he waited for the woman to reveal her name to them.

"The name's Leone." The now named Leone introduced herself. "Drawn by dreams of making it big in the capital, you two came from the country to fulfill your dreams, right?"

"Wha-!? H-How did you know?" Tatsumi asked in a shocked tone while also snapping himself out of his stupor. Haru made sure to not let him live that down.

"If you've lived in the capital long enough, you can identify outsiders in a heartbeat." The woman said. "Anyway, I saw what happened and lucky for you, I know a quick way to get hired for government services."

"For real?" Tatsumi lit up with excitement.

"You wanna know?" Leone asked and before Tatsumi could nod his head, Haru spoke up.

"What's the catch?" Haru raised an eyebrow at the woman. After hearing what the men Tatsumi saved earlier said, Haru was skeptical of this woman. Even if he hadn't heard the men, he'd still be skeptical. After a all, a random person wouldn't just go out of their way to help a stranger. It was common sense.

'This kid's got a good head.' Leone commented in her mind before she smiled innocently. "It's quite simple, really. Treat this nice lady here to a meal!"

"...Huh?" Was Haru's brilliant response.

(At a Bar)

Both boys, after talking with one another, decided to hear out the woman and she brought them over to a bar where they could eat. Right now, both boys were watching the woman chug down her seventh mug of alcohol today. And it's still daylight!

"Pwaaa! Oh yeah, drinking during the day is the best!" Leone said, already red faced before she then offered the boys some. "You drink too! Let's have some fun!"

"Uh, no thank you." Haru said, pushing one of many bottles that littered the table away.

"Can you just tell me how we can get commissioned?" Tatsumi asked while looking stunned at the amount of bottles on the table. And they were paying for all of this? Whatever Leone had to say better be worth it.

The woman pours herself another glass before speaking. "Of right, that. Well, basically, you need to have connections and cash."

"Cash" Tatsumi repeated in confusion.

Seeing the confused look on Tatsumi, Leone continues. "I know a guy in the military and if you give him cash, it'll be real quick."

'...Oh, so it's this bullshit.' Haru thought as he figured out what the woman was trying to do.

"I see. Then would this be—?" Tatsumi was about to reach for his wallet when Haru stopped him.

"Here." Haru laid a bag on the table, the contents filling the bag to the max. "Is this enough?"

"Absolutely!" The woman said with stars in her eyes. "You've got quite a bit here!"

"We've been killing Danger Beasts and collecting rewards along the way here so yeah, we saved up quite a bit." Haru said with a shrug as if it was no big deal.

"So this will get us into the military?" Tatsumi asked.

"Boys, with this, you two can become captains even!" Leone said as she got up and grabbed the bag, slinging it over her shoulder as she walked out of the bar. "I think your encounter with me will serve as a valuable lesson to you two. Wait, here, I'll be right back!" And with that, she took her leave, swaying her hips along the way which made Tatsumi stare at her behind.

"Okay~! We'll be waiting!" Tatsumi said in an infatuated tone as he waved back at the woman. "I see, so connections are important here."

Haru lets out a sigh before he goes and slaps the back of Tatsumi's head.

"Ow! Hey, what was that for!?"

"For being an idiot." Haru said. "You do realize she just tried to con us, right?"

"She did?" Tatsumi said in surprise as Haru gave him a 'Really?' look.

"So you noticed." The bartender that had been watching them said. "Yet you still gave her your money?"

Haru scoffed. "Please, if anyone got conned here," Haru then took out his real bag of money. "It was that woman."

"Eh?" Tatsumi looked at the bag in Haru's hand and the door which Leone exited and then back. "Wait, if you still have your money then what did you give her?"

"A bag of rocks."

"You mean those rocks you've been picking up on the road on the way here?"

Haru nodded. "Told you they would come in handy."

The bartender gave Haru an impressed look. "Well now, not bad kid. You've certainly came prepared."

"Heh, you know it!" Tatsumi said as gestured to Haru. "This guy here is always prepared for anything! It's why he's the best in our village!"

"It's called being smart." Haru said, waving off the compliment but smiled nonetheless.

The bartender nodded in understanding before saying, "You do realize that you two have to pay for your meals plus all the drinks she ordered?"

Haru sighed before he grabbed a few coins from his bag and placed it on the table before getting up. "Come on, Tatsumi. Let's find us an inn to stay for the night. After that, we can start looking for Sayo and Ieyasu to see if they arrived here yet."

"Right!" Tatsumi said as he followed Haru out the door.

(Ten Hours Later)

"What the fuck!?" Tatsumi exclaimed out loudly. It was now night time and he and Haru have still...yet to find a place to stay.

"How is it that every inn is booked!?" Tatsumi exclaimed again.

"Is some god up there messing with us?" Haru said, annoyed as much as Tatsumi as he glared up at the sky as if to glare up at the heavens.

"First those boobs—I mean that woman tried to con us and now almost all the inns here are filled up!" Tatsumi exclaimed loudly before slumping down in depression. "I'm starting to miss the village. Shit."

"You can't expect everything to go the way you want it. We'll just have to suck it up." Haru said as he and Tatsumi continued to walk around, hoping to find an inn that had at least one room free. And as they were walking, they were spotted by two men.

"Hey look, a couple of country bumpkins walking around with all that stuff." The small man of the two, eyeing the both the boys' bags.

"Hand those over if you know what's good for you." The larder of the two demanded, holding out a hand.

Haru eyed to two with a calculating gaze. Unseen by the two men, beneath his cloak, Haru went for his combat dagger. With the cloak hiding his movement, no one was none the wiser. All except for Tatsumi who responded accordingly.

*BONK!*

*BONK!*

Using the flat end of his sword, Tatsumi knocked the two muggers out instantly.

"No killing people, Haru." Tatsumi said, pointing a finger at his friend while sheathing his sword.

"I wasn't going to kill them." Haru said as he took his hand away from his dagger. "I was just gonna leave them crippled."

Tatsumi sighs at his friend's nonchalant answer before looking at the unconscious muggers and commented, "What's wrong with everyone in this city, seriously...?"

"It's not what we expected, that's for sure." Haru said before he and Tatsumi looked up at the palace that sat at the center and towered over everything in the city.

"I wonder how Sayo and Ieyasu are doing? I hope they made it to the capital alright..." Tatsumi's mutters but Haru hears him anyway.

"I'm sure they're fine. They're just as tough as you after all." Haru said. "If anything, we can hope those guys are in a better situation than we are. Since we can't find an inn we'll just have to camp outside tonight."

"Yeah, I guess..." Tatsumi said as he and Haru sat against a nearby wall and pulled out their winder jackets to use as makeshift blankets. "Here's hoping tomorrow will be better."

"Ditto." Haru said as he closed his eyes only to open them immediately when a carriage came to a stop in front of them. Haru eyed the vehicle suspiciously as a with blond girl soon stepped out of it. From her clothes alone, Haru could tell she was a rich family.

"Excuse me, you two?" The girl walked over to boys as they both eyed her with suspicion. After the day they had, they weren't all that trusting of strangers.

"Can we help you, miss?" Haru asked.

"Are you two from the country?" The girl asked.

"Yeah..." Tatsumi answered for the both of them.

"If you two don't have a place to stay then how about coming over to my place for the night?" The girl said with a bright and warm smile.

Haru and Tatsumi raised an eyebrow at the girl in confusion before the former asked, "Why help two strangers like us?"

"Lady Aria can't ignore people like you." One of two guards that had been driving the carriage came over and spoke.

"You should accept her generosity." The second guard said, armed with a gun for defense.

"Well, what do you think?" The now named Aria asks.

Both Haru and Tatsumi have a silent conversation with their eyes, thinking about what they should do. After some thought, Tatsumi answered for the both of them.

"Well, it is better than sleeping outside."

"Then it's settled!"

(Later)

"W-Wow...!" Tatsumi said in awe and a bit of disbelief as he looked around the house. Well, it was more of a mansion than a house. To the head of animals won from hunts to expensive looking vases and chandeliers, the whole place just screamed rich!

"Thank you for taking me in." I bow, thanking them for letting me stay in Aria's house.

"Ahh, it seems Aria has brought home more guests." Aria's father said as they were all in the living room to speak with Aria's parents.

"That habit of hers. I wonder how many it's been now?" Aria's mother commented.

As the adults spoke, Haru glanced over to the men that stood guard over the family, looking ready to act if anything happened.

'They must have confidence in their guards if these people are so willing to take in a couple of strangers. The fact that they're even so nice must mean these guys must have some experience under their belts.' Haru, while in his thoughts, unconsciously brushed the handle of his combat knife. Despite the fact that Aria's family was willing to take them in, total strangers, said kindness rubbed Haru the wrong way.

"Thank you for taking us in!" In complete opposite to Haru's thoughts, Tatsumi bowed in thanks.

Aria's father chuckled. "No need to be so modest."

"You two must be hungry; shall I make you something to eat?" The mother asked nicely.

Haru shook his head. "No thanks, we ate earlier so we're good."

"I see, then just make yourselves at home then."

"So tell us, why did you two come to the capital?" The father asked.

Tatsumi was the one to explain. "We came to the capital to make some money for our village as we're currently facing some financial problems. We were hoping to join the military to save it."

"I see, that's a very noble goal, you two." Aria's father commented. "But, you two should know. Though the capital is peaceful, three sides of this country are flanked by hostile tribes. If you two join the military you'll like be sent to the borders to fight them."

"We're prepared for that." Haru said, moving his cloak to show off his sheathed knife as Tatsumi nodded in agreement.

"We wouldn't have left our village if we weren't determined." Tatsumi added.

Aria's father laughed a little. "Well I must say I admire the two of yous' courageous spirits. Yes, that's how the young should be."

"Did you two come all the way here by yourself?" Aria suddenly asked.

"No, we were heading here with two other people, friends of ours, but we got separated on the way here when bandits attacked us." Tatsumi said before adding in his mind, 'And that's when Haru promptly killed them all and looted their stuff. Seriously, I can't help but worry that he has a few screws loose in his head.'

Haru didn't know why but he felt like hitting Tatsumi for something.

"You're not worried about them?" the mother asked.

"They're pretty strong so I know they'll be OK by themselves." Tatsumi said as he and Haru thought back to the time they left the village.

(Flashback)

A hundred petals of snow fell slowly from the skies and gently down to the ground. Despite the season being a cold winter, five figures standing at the entrance to the village were not bothered at the least, having grown up getting used to it though it helped they all had winter coats.

"All right, we'll be off then, chief!" Tatsumi said as by his side were Haru, Ieyasu, and Sayo.

Ieyasu was the same age as Tatsumi with short, somewhat unruly, dark brown hair and brown eyes. In addition to his winter oat, he wore a white martial arts headband and had an axe covered in cloth hanging behind his back.

Sayo was also the same age as Tatsumi with long black hair and black eyes. She wore a white butterfly or flower hair accessory and had a bow and a quiver full of arrows on her back.

"Yes, you four look out for one another. Make sure to use your skills to grab your chance of success." The Village Chief said.

"Leave it to us. We'll bring wealth to the village." Sayo assured the old man.

"If we do that, we won't have to worry about starving to death!" Ieyasu said before he started to gloat. "Well, it'll probably take ten years for Master Ieyasu here to get well known."

"Ieyasu'll probably break the rules and get the guillotine." Sayo commented while also shooting down her friend figuratively.

"Sayo, why you! Don't say stuff that might actually happen!" Ieyasu exclaimed.

"If you're well aware of your own faults then try and fix them. Especially your sleeping habits and sense of directions." Sayo shot back.

Both the Chief and Haru sighed as one as the formed commented, "You all seem to have enough energy, at least."

"You can say that again." Haru said before the Chief handed him something, a wooden idol carving. "What's this?"

"My last parting gift." He said as Haru took it and examined it. "When the time comes—"

"Sell it, right?" Haru said.

"No!" The Chief exclaimed before quickly calming down. "Keep this with you at all times. God will surely save you."

"Don't need it." Haru immediately responded, getting a surprised gasp from the chief as Haru handed the idol to Tatsumi. "Here, you can have it Tatsumi."

"S-Sure..." Tatsumi said as he took the idol from Haru's hands.

"You idiot! Don't just pass it around like it's nothing!" The Chief exclaimed.

"I'd sooner die than rely on God." Haru responded back with a fierce look.

The Chief was then reminded of the man's unusual distaste for the gods and simply sighed. "Take care, you four. Haru, I'm counting on you to look after these three as the oldest of the group."

"You can count on me." Haru assured the man before the group then took their leave.

(Flashback End)

"...We then left with high spirits." Tatsumi finished telling his story to everyone.

"I see. You two must have complete confidence in your companions' abilities if you're not the least bit worried." Aria's father said.

Haru nodded. "Yeah, the two are just as strong as Tatsumi here. But what I'm really worried about is Ieyasu because he's unbelievably bad with directions." Haru swore that that guy has got that Zoro level sense of direction which is, absolutely none.

"In that case, I'll put in a good word with a military acquaintance and will request a search for your friends." The father said.

"Really?" Haru asked and the father nodded.

Tatsumi then got up and bowed. "Thank you very much!"

"My intuition is usually spot on so I think you guys will meet with them real soon." Aria said.

Haru narrowed his eyes at that. For some reason, his gut was telling him that there was another meaning to what she said. But with no proof to back up that claim, he let it slide.

Tatsumi then asked, "Is there anything we can do to repay you?"

"Oh! How about you guys be my bodyguards along with the others!" Aria suggested.

"That sounds like a good idea." Her father said before turning to a nearby guard. "Gauri, I'll leave things up to you."

"Understood." The man named Gauri said who Haru guessed was the captain of the other guards here.

"Thank you for everything today!" Tatsumi thanked the family again.

"We're happy to help." Aria's mother said before Gauri took the two boys and guided them to a room they could stay for the night. It was spacious enough for two beds to fit in so there were no problems.

"We sure are lucky." Tatsumi said as he laid on the bed provided for him. "We got saved by some nice people in the end. It's good to know that there are people like these even in the capital."

"Yeah, maybe." Haru said as he took a seat at a desk, placed his bag down and took out a whetstone before pulling his combat knife out and soon started to sharpen the blade. "Now we just have to make sure that Sayo and Ieyasu made it here safely."

"Yeah," Tatsumi agreed with his friend, worried about his other two friends but held onto the confidence that they were alright. "Well, I'm gonna turning first. Goodnight, Haru."

"'Night." Haru responded back before turning back to his combat knife. The handle itself appeared a bit worn out, a testament to how much it's been used over the year. Haru turned the knife over and around, lost in thought.

'When Tatsumi found me outside the village, this knife was on me. That and...' Haru placed down his weapon before digging into his bag and pulled out a strange looking device. It appeared to a red, mechanical belt buckle and shaped like a weird 'L'. Along with the strange belt buckle, Haru also held what appeared to be a USB driver. It was a creamy white color with, at the center, a letter 'E' along with the words 'Eternal' seemingly surrounding it in the background along with bar codes.

Haru's thumb hovered over a button on the strange item before pressing down on it.

ETERNAL!

Haru winced as he felt something akin to static shock surged through his brain only to disappear as soon as it appeared, leaving Haru with a feeling akin to nostalgia.

'The Lost Driver and a Gaia Memory. That's what these things are called.' Haru thought as he gazed at the items in his hand. 'Just what exactly are these things? Why were these on me when Tatsumi found me and how come they feel so familiar to me?'

Sighing, Haru placed the items back in his bag before heading to bed, opening a window to let some cool air in. As he was drifting off to sleep, Haru didn't know if it was his imagination, but...he thought he smelled blood from outside.

(The Next Day)

"Hurry! We're going to that store next!"

"My lady, please wait!"

As Aria hurried to the next store with two guards quickly following her while carrying her recently brought items, both Tatsumi and Haru stayed with Gauri to watch over the cart and Aria's other bought items.

"Her shopping is pretty intense, isn't it?" Tatsumi commented as he stared wide eyed at the amount of stuff Aria brought.

"That's an understatement. This is just getting silly." Haru said before turning to Gauri. "Are all girls in the capital like this?"

"You better believe it." Gauri said. "Why, are girls in your village different?"

"Yeah," Tatsumi said. "The one's we know pick out their clothes right away."

"Though to be fair there isn't a lot to wear in the first place." Haru said while imagining Sayo saying the same thing, only angrier.

"Never mind that. Look up, you two." Gauri said as he moved his head upward and the two did the same, following the man's gaze up to what Haru guessed is the Royal Palace, its sheer size towering over everything. "That's the center of the Capital, the Royal Palace."

"For real!? That's humongous!" Tatsumi exclaimed in surprise.

"Is that where the Great Emperor, the one who controls the entire country, lives?" Haru asked the guard.

"No, it's a bit different than that." Gauri said, looking left and right for a brief moment before moving up close to the two to whisper. "There's an emperor, but he's only a child. The Prime Minister is actually the one who controls the emperor from the shadows and he's the reason why this country is so rotten."

"You're kidding?" Haru said but the man shook his head to confirm that he was telling the truth.

'The emperor is only a kid while the Prime Minister actually is the one in control? That just spells out bad news.' Haru thought.

"So, the reason why our village is suffering from heavy taxation is because of him?" Tatsumi asked in a low voice.

Gauri nodded. "In the capital, it's an accepted practice."

Tatsumi gritted his teeth, seething with rage only to calm down when Haru placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Calm down. If you act out, our heads will be rolling in no time." Haru said while making sure to keep an eye on they're surroundings, understanding why Gauri had made sure to look around before speaking.

"He's right. There are also those guys we have to worry about." Gauri said as he pointed over to a nearby wall which had wanted posters plastered all over it. Among them, both Tatsumi and Haru could make out a few posters that had something in common.

"Night Raid?" Haru said, raising an eyebrow as he read off three names: Najenda, Bulat, and Akame.

"They're a group of assassins that's been terrifying the Imperial Capital." The Guard explains. "As the name suggests, they attack their victims at night. They mainly target high-ranking executives and the capital's upper class. I would be careful if I were you two."

"N-No problem..." Tatsumi said a bit nervously while Haru simply nodded.

"One more thing..." Gauri said before he pointed behind the boys. "You're both helping with that."

Confused both boys turned around to see Aria, done with shopping, with her two guards carrying a box...that was the size of a small carriage!

"The fuck...?" Haru said as he felt his eye twitch a little.

"What the hell kind of training is this!?" Tatsumi exclaimed.

(Later, Aria's Mansion)

After helping Arua's other guards with all of the stuff the rich girl had brought today(Haru felt tempted to just burn it all out of annoyance), the group all returned to the girl's home. The sun was beginning to disappear over the horizon and the night sky was beginning to hover over the capital. Done for today, Haru and Tatsumi returned to their rooms, waiting for dinnertime to arrive.

"Sigh, I'm beat." Tatsumi said as he laid down on his, exhausted a little after carrying that outrageously huge box. Seriously, who buy's something like that!?

"Talk about being a stereotypical rich girl." Haru commented. He shuddered at how much money Aria so willingly spent in a single day. Think of all the food he and Tatsumi could have bought for the village?

Opening a window, Haru leaned the wooden frame as he gazed out to the Royal Palace in the distance, deep in thought.

"What're you thinking about?" Tatsumi asked his friend, noticing the look on his face.

"It's what Gauri told us earlier, about the Emperor and the Prime Minster." Haru said as he turned to his friend. "The Emperor is nothing more than a puppet being used by the Prime Minster. I get that but how was something like this allowed to happen?"

"Maybe the Prime Minster guy has some friends in high places that helped him. You've told me plenty of times how things like that are possible." Tatsumi said.

"Yeah, you're probably right." Haru said as he looked back out towards the Palace again. "I'm starting to have second thoughts about joining the military."

"I know you don't like how things are and I agree with you. I'm pissed that something like this was allowed to happen." Tatsumi said. "But for our village, we've got no choice but to suck it up and grit our teeth, no matter how much we don't like it. Who knows, maybe we can do something from the inside?"

"Hmm..." Haru hummed to himself as he thought about what Tatsumi suggested. Could they change things from the inside should they join the military? It's possible but Haru can't help but think that it at the same time, it was impossible. Too impossible, in fact. They would have to rise in rank if they wanted any sort of influence and that would take too much time.

*wooo!*

A gentle wind blew, brushing against Haru's face and blowing his hair a little. But the wind also carried a scent...which shouldn't be possible.

"Haru?" Tatsumi saw a change in his friend's expression. A look of alarm before turning into one of concentration. Before he could ask what was wrong, Haru held up a hand to stop him as Haru focused and sniffed the air.

"Do you smell that?" Haru asked.

"Huh?" Tatsumi looked at his friend in confusion before sniffing the air himself but got nothing. "Smell what? I don't smell anything."

"You don't?" Haru asked and Tatsumi nodded.

"What's wrong?" Tatsumi asked, concerned. For as long as he's known Haru, which was only a year or two, Haru has displayed at times some amazing abilities. Things like enhanced hearing for example and enhanced strength. How else was Haru able to punch a Danger Beast to death that one time?

"...I smell blood." The second those words left Haru's mouth, alarm shot through Tatsumi like a flash of thunder.

"Blood?" Haru nodded before going to his bag and grabbing his combat knife and his bag. "What are you doing?"

"I'm going to check where that smell's coming from." Haru said before he jumped out of the window.

"Wha-? Oi!" Hesitating for just a moment, Tatsumi grabbed his sword and quickly followed after his friend. The two than ran into the small forest Aria's mansion neighbored and after a few minutes, the two came upon a shed.

"What do we have here?" Haru mutters, sniffing the air and found that the smell of blood was coming from the shed. He was about to make his way to it when Tatsumi stopped him by grabbing his arm.

"Oi, stop this, Haru. You can't break into Aria's family's shed. They probably just keep their gardening supplies in there." Tatsumi said.

Instead of responding back to his friend, Haru said, "Does a normal shed have steel doors?" Pointing over, Haru points over to the steel doors of the shed that were no doubt also soundproof.

"I...don't think so..." Tatsumi said in an unsure voice as the fact that the shed had steel doors was indeed a bit suspicious.

Seeing that he had his friend convinced, Haru went over to the shed and was surprised to find that the doors were unlocked, the lock pad left open.

'The guards must have forgotten to lock up.' Haru thought as he removed the lock pad and then pushed open the doors.

"Ugh, gods!" Tatsumi gagged and he wasn't the only one as Haru also covered his mouth and nose as the two were blasted by an unbelievable strong smell of blood. Stepping inside, the two never got past ten steps when Tatsumi suddenly gasps and falls down onto his butt in shock. He wasn't alone as Haru too let out a gasp and stumbled back but managed to catch himself before he fell.

"W-What the hell!?" Tatsumi screamed out in horror.

"What...What the fuck is this!?" Haru exclaimed.

What the two saw before them were countless and countless numbers of dead bodies, either jailed or hung, all looking like they've been tortured before they've died. Dried blood littered the ground as decaying bodies and human waste made it hard to breath. It was truly a horrifying sight.

"Ah, what have we here? A little snooper?" A voice suddenly spoke up.

Turning around, both Haru and Tatsumi were met with Aria and the rest of her family as well as every guard the family had with them, five in total.

"You..." Haru began as he looked back at all the mutilated bodies in the shed before glaring back at the family. "Did you do this?"

"W-What is this!?" Tatsumi practically demanded, pointing at all of the dead bodies.

"Well, now that you've seen all of this, I guess there's no point of hiding it." Aria's father said before he went and developed a crazy, sick, twisted, and evil smile, totally opposite to the kind and welcoming smile he had given the boys yesterday.

"So, you did so all of this." Haru said, continuing to glare at the family.

"That's right. You see, we lure people from the country side with sweet words, and when their guard is completely down, we torture and play with them until they're dead. That's what were really are, a family of sadists." The rest of the family then mimics the same smile the father has on.

The girl, Aria, then walks up. "Hey, remember when I said you two will be reunited with your friends soon?" She then points into the shed. "Well, take a look."

Filled with both confusion and dread, the two turned around and looked upon the many dead bodies, hoping what the girl is implying wasn't true. Sadly, their prayers were not met as they caught a glimpse of a certain kind of flower on someone's head. They instantly recognized it as only one person they knew wore that flower on their head.

It was their friend, Sayo.

Tatsumi gasp in horror. "Sayo!?"

Haru looks on in horror at the state the girl was in. While completely naked, she was covered head to toe in blood and had multiple wounds scaring her body. Not only that but her right leg was missing, torn right off with the insides left to hang out. Haru didn't bother calling out her name for he knew...she was dead.

"Ta...tsu...mi? Ha...ru?" A weak but familiar voice suddenly called out to the boys. Following it, the two stared in horror as among the many caged people held in this shed, the two gaze upon their other missing friend, Ieyasu.

"I-Ieyasu!?" Tatsumi whispers in horror at the state his friend was in.

The boy was shirtless with only ragged pants covering his lower body. Besides blood also covering his frame, he had what appeared to be sores covering from head to toe.

"It...really is...you guys...right...?" Ieyasu said, his voice sounding as if he was having trouble speaking. Grasping the bars that caged him in and with tears in his eyes, the boy begins to explain what happened.

"That girl invited me and Sayo to her home. And after we ate, we lost consciousness and when we came to, we were here." More tear of despair fell down his face as he exclaims loudly to his friends "That bitch tortured Sayo to death!" Ieyasu then falls to his knees, crying in despair.

"Ieyasu..." Haru mutters as emotions inside of him were starting to boil over.

"I was really surprised that you guys knew each other." Aria said. "Can you believe how many of you hicks from the country fall for my sweet and innocent persona? You're all like cattle." She then glared towards Sayo's dead corpse. "That woman, even though she was cattle, her hair was so smooth. Who does she think she is, when I have to struggle with my unruly hair!? That's why I made sure she suffered as much as possible! She should be grateful anyone paid so much attention to her!"

"Now, now sweetie. We allowed you to have her as your personal play toy, no need to go crazy about it." Her mother said, placing a comforting hand on her daughter's back.

"Now, it's late and all, but I think we have enough time for more fun tonight." The father said, checking the time on a pocket watch before putting it away and gestured to the guards. "Guards, seize them."

Haru turns to look at the guards and spots the leader of the group, Gauri.

"You knew about this, didn't you?"

A look of shame appears on his face. "Yes. We kept quiet so we're as equality as guilty. I will not ask for your forgiveness for we deserve none." He and the all of the other guards pull out their weapons.

*SNAP!*

And that's when it happened. Something inside of Haru...snapped.

"I see. That's good." Haru began as he drops his bag to the ground, having no need for it as there was no one to help, and draws out his combat knife. Looking up, everyone flinches back in surprise when in Haru's eyes, there were no emotions in them, just a cold look that promised one thing.

Death.

"Then I won't have to feel bad about doing this." Haru said as he holds up his weapon.

Despite having flinched earlier, the father regains his bearings. "A knife!? Ha! What are you going to do with just a knife?"

"Why don't you come here and find out?" Haru said with nothing but cold anger in his voice.

"Enough of this. Guards, get him!" The father ordered with a wave of his hand.

As ordered all five guards charge towards Haru and Tatsumi.

"Tatsumi, " Said boy looks up to his friend. "Get Ieyasu free. I'll take care of this."

The boy looks at his friend for just a moment before he finally get's back up to his feet and says, "Give them hell!"

And with that, Haru rushes in, knife in hand.

One of the guards, wielding a battle axe, blinks for a second but the moment he did, he found that Haru was right in front of him. Surprised, he goes to swing his awe down when Haru grabs his head and with surprisingly minimum effort, he pushes and twists the man's head around in a complete 360 degrees, breaking his neck and killing him instantly.

Another guard wielding a pair of chakrams goes and throws one of them at Haru but the teen grabs the axe of the guard he just killed and uses it to deflect the spinning blade with it got stuck in a tree. Haru then dashes towards the guard who meets with him with a punch but found his arm chopped clean off by the stolen axe Haru had taken before that same axe slices his head like a water melon.

"What are you idiots doing!? Quit playing around!" The father shouted, clearly angry that his guards haven't taken the knife wielding teen down yet. And he hasn't even used said knife yet!

A guard armed with a spear goes to hit Haru only to be met with a axe to his face. Not convinced that just throwing the axe had killed the guard, Haru easily closes the distance between them and grabs the man's head before he stabs his combat knife straight through his neck. Choking on his own blood and with an axe in his head, the guard dies instantly.

Another guard, this one wielding a gun, fires upon the knife wielding teen only for said teen to use the man he just killed as a human shield, the body taking all the bullets for him as Haru rushes in. Panicking, the guard goes to retreat back only for Haru to suddenly kick the human shield to him, said body slammed into him and disorienting him for a moment before the gun wielding guard gasps and then coughs out blood when Haru uses the previous guard's spear and stabs it straight through its original wielder and the gun wielding guard.

Pushing the now dead bodies to the ground, Haru finally turns to Gauri who was frozen in shock and fear.

"All my comrades...annihilated in an instant!?" Gauri could hardly believe it. The men he's been working with for so long had been killed as if they were nothing more than fodder.

Without saying any words, Haru makes a 'come here' gesture to the man. Reigning in his fears, Gauri grips his sword and charges towards the boy only for said boy to suddenly pass by him and stop behind him. Gaui makes no attempt to turn, rather he can't for his neck had been sliced open.

"A fitting end for someone like me…whose true nature is rotten!" The man manages to say before Haru deals the finishing blow, a stab through the back of the head and into the brain. Haru removes the knife quickly and lets the body of Gauri fall down to the ground, dead.

Having used his sword to cur the bars, Tatsumi frees Ieyasu and brings him out to the open where the two see Haru has already killed all the guards. Fun fact: the entire fight had taken a total amount of two minutes.

"He did it!" Tatsumi cheers.

"Heh, that's our Haru, the number one fighter of our village!" Ieyasu comments with a smile.

Flick his knife to get rid of the blood, Haru turns to direct his cold glare to the sadistic family who were all shocked that their guards had been taken care of so fast and so easily.

Raising his knife, Haru then says, "You're next."

Unexpectedly, the family recomposes themselves...and starts clapping as if everything Haru had just done had just been a show for them. They even laughed.

"What's so funny?" Haru asks the family of sadists.

They stopped laughing and the father spoke up. "You've see, what's funny is that you think that you've gotten us, but sadly, that is far from the truth." He walks up to one of the dead guards and kicked it. "Useless, the whole lot of them."

"Now, now dear. No need to take your anger on a corpse, you can do that on the boy after we knock him out." The mother said.

"And how exactly are you going to do that?" Haru asks while also wondering where this confidence was coming from.

Aria giggles. "Oh silly little country animal. We're going to knock you out with these."

The whole family then precedes to take out something that looks like a USB driver, similar to the one Haru has except they all had a ribcage-like casing around it. Haru instantly recognized the devices in the family's hands.

"Gaia Memories!?"

"Oh? You know what these are? That's surprising." The father said. "We spent a fortune to get these things. They really do make our lives so much more interesting."

"How did you get those!?" Haru demanded.

"Like we ever tell you." Aria said before holding up her Memory. "But what we can do is show you what these little toys can do." They all then pressed the button on their memories.

GENE!

PUPPETEER!

QUEEN!

As one, they all moved aside the bangs of their hair to reveal USB port-like tattoos on their foreheads which Haru identified as a Living Connector. The family of three then literally inserted the USB-like devices and the Memories disappeared before their entire forms changed completely until it was something not human anymore.

"Wh-What the hell!?" Ieyasu exclaimed in surprise.

"What are they?" Tatsumi thought out loud.

Haru too wondered that same question but in the next instance, a name appeared in his head. A name that seemed familiar.

"Dopant." Haru said as he looked at the three newly transformed Dopants.

The mother had transformed into what Haru identified as the Gene Dopant. The Dopant had gray skin and had blue lines all over its body as its right arm had been replaced with something that looked like a mixer and the head looked like a giant light bulb.

The father had turned into what Haru identified as the Puppeteer Dopant. He was no longer chubby and was dressed in a fancy looking white suit but the body had looked like they had been turned into some king of demon. In his hands was a flute.

Finally, Aria had turned into what Haru identified as the Queen Dopant. Out of the whole family, she looked the closest to human. Her skin was pink and her face was only a bit demonic. She was dressed up like…well like a queen, a Persian Queen to be exact as a crown rested on top of her head and in her hands was silver staff with a diamond at the top.

"So, how do you like us now?" The now Queen Dopant asked. "Don't we look wonderful?"

"'Wonderful' is the last word I would use on people like you." Haru said as he held up his combat knife and got into a stance. Despite the family transforming into what can only be described as monsters, he still intended to fight back.

"You still on fighting even after seeing us like this?" Aria's mother said before shaking her head as if disappointed in a child.

"Then allow us demonstrate why you should fear us!" The Puppeteer Dopant said before he then raises his flute and blows into it, sending a destructive super-sonic wave at Haru.

There was an explosion in front of Haru and sparks flew everywhere before the power of the sound wave sent Haru flying back a bit.

"Haru!" Both Tatsumi and Ieyasu cried out in worry.

"I'm fine!" Haru said as he got back up and charged towards the three Dopants.

Seeing him coming, the mother of the family acted by raising her right arm, the DNA Mixer, and stabbed it into the ground before moving it around. The ground swirled around as it's very genetic make up was altered. Aria then stepped forth and raised her staff before parts of the altered ground were broken off and raised up into the air before with a wave of her staff, she sent the slabs of earth towards Haru. Haru went and dodged most of them before he went and batted aside the last one when to his surprise, it stuck to him like a slab of sticky wet clay before it hardened into rock. He wasn't too worried as he easily broke the rock casing over his hand with his knife. Flicking his hands a few times, Haru looks up to see more slabs coming towards him like speeding bullets. Now knowing that it was best not to touch said slabs, Haru focused on dodging as he advanced closer and closer to the trio of Dopants.

"You fool! Take this!" The father said before he blew his flute at Haru at close range.

Facing the sound waves at such close range, Haru was sent flying back but he wouldn't the distance he had covered to be lost. Reacting quickly, he threw his knife at the Puppeteer Dopant's flute and successfully knocked it out of his hands. The sound waves soon stopped and Haru had only flew back a couple of a feet. A distance which Haru easily covered while also catching his falling knife. With knife back in hand, Haru approached the father first and leaped forth to deliver a knee strike to his face with enough force to send the Dopant back. He then turned towards the mother and kicked her in the stomach, sending her away to reveal Aria who he then dashed up towards and swung his knife, slashing out her right eye.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" Aria screamed out in pain as she held her bleeding right eye.

"You bastard!" Aria's mother screams as she goes to hit Haru with her DNA Mixer but Haru grabs the arm before it could touch him.

The DNA Mixer had the ability to genetically change anything it touches which is why Haru made a mental note to make sure it never touches him. Besides that, the Mixer was the only thing he was worried about from the mother as he then went and punched her two times in the stomach with enough force to make her bend over before he went and slashed her light bulb-like head. She gave out a scream of quick pain before Haru finally released her arm and kicked her away while at the same time using her to jump back to avoid an incoming sound wave from Aria's father who had went and picked up his flute and had used it to save his wife. The results were that Haru was sent back a bit but he landed on his feet perfectly fine. Haru then dashed forward again and covered the distance between him and the father and then batted aside the flute before the Dopant could use it again. He then used his knife to slash the Dopant across the chest a few times, leaving cuts across the suit before he punched the Dopant's chest with said punch quickly turning into a palm strike that sent the Dopant stumbling back before he tripped and fell down to the ground.

A scream alerted Haru of an attack from behind but as he turned around to face an incoming Aria, the Dopant was slashed across the back before being kicked away by none other than Tatsumi.

"Tatsumi! I thought I told you to look after Ieyasu?" Haru said.

"And leave you fighting these guys alone? Heck no!" Tatsumi exclaimed. "We're gonna beat these bastards together and then we're gonna get Ieyasu some help!"

Haru looked at Tatsumi for a brief moment before nodding in agreement before the two stood side by side as they faced Aria's family, the father and the mother helping said girl up who was shaking in rage.

"You...goddamn...country animals!" Aira screamed in rage. "Why can't you just be slaughtered like the cattle you are!"

"Sorry to to burst you bubble, you stuck up bitch..." Haru began.

"But we're pretty hard to kill." Tatsumi finished as he readied his sword.

"Grrr! Don't get cocky! Kneel!"Aria exclaims loudly before she slams her staff down on the ground and suddenly, it felt as if tons of weight had dropped on the boys' shoulders.

"Wha-!? What is...this!?" Tatsumi grunted as fell to his knees.

"She's..." Haru too falls to his knees as he grits his teeth and glares over at Aria. 'She told us to kneel and we did! Does her Memory give her some sort of control over people?'

"Mother!" Aria called out for her mom.

"Already on it!" The mother said, mixing the ground beneath her and changing its genetic make-up.

"Rise!" Aria commanded and the altered ground made by her mother rose up.

"What the...hell!?" Tatsumi gritted through his teeth.

That's when Haru figured out Aria's abilities granted to her by her Memory.

"Command over anything." A power to command anything anyone desires from the people to the land itself. As expected of a queen.

"Father!"

"Way ahead of you! Now die!" Aria's father then stepped forth and using his flute, he sent forth shock waves that sent the wave of altered earth towards the boys.

"Well...shit." Haru commented before he and Tatsumi were swept away in the wave of what felt like mud to them. By the time the wave subsided, the two boys found themselves back in the shed.

"Guys!" Worried, Ieyasu hurried over to their side. "You guys al-blegh!" He never got to finish what he was saying when he suddenly coughed up blood.

"Ieyasu!" Tatsumi immediately went over to his side. "Hang in there!"

"That bitch's mother...drugged me..." Ieyasu explained before coughing a few more times. "I don't think...I can make it."

"Don't say that! We're gonna get you help!" Tatsumi insisted.

"No you won't because you all are gonna die!" Aria said before he pointed her staff at the shed. "Explode!" Of course, the shed didn't just explode on her command. From her staff, a blast of lightning shot out of her staff and sped towards the shed.

"Shit!" Haru cursed as he tried to think of anything that could save him and his friend from this predicament. He didn't have to think long when his eyes landed on his bag. Berating himself for not doing this sooner, he quickly leaped for his bag and—

*BOOOOOOOOM!*

The lightning struck and the entire shed exploded into splinters and flames.

"Ahahahahahaha! That was for my eye you low lives!" Aria shouted out victoriously.

"Oh my, now we need a new shed. I never got to finish writing down that boy's symptoms of the drug I gave him." Aria's mother said, placing one hand on her cheek or where her cheek would be.

"I'm sure I can get us a new shed plus some new guards. It's not like we're poor or anything." Aria's father said before the family of sadists all shared a laugh before turning to walk away.

ETERNAL!

The family all stopped and turned around in surprise. From within the flames, what sound like old school jungle music played as something from within was blowing back the scorching hot fires.

"What's going on!?" The father said as from within the flames, they could make out the forms of Tatsumi and Ieyasu, the former helping the ladder.

"You gotta be kidding me! They're still alive!?" Aria exclaimed in both surprise and anger.

"Wait, where's the third one?" The mother asked as there was no sign of Haru.

Her question was soon answered when from the flames itself, a figure appeared.

It appeared to be a man clad in a white body suit with an equally white breastplate and shoulder guards with black lining along with protectors for the thighs and boots. He wore crimson red gauntlets with flame-like patterns that extend to the arm past the elbows and also had small wrist and ankle decorations that were also white and with the same red patterns.

The most impressive out of all was the man's helmet. It was white as well like almost the rest of the armor and sported two yellow insect-like eyes that were connected in the middle of the helmet and were lined in black with a strip of the same color that traveled from one eye to the opposite end of the other circling around the helmet. On the forehead was a white trident like horn and a scarlet red gem embedded at the base.

Stepping out of the fire with the flames blending well with his arms and legs, making it appear his arms and legs were fire itself, it made for an intimidating image as the family of sadists found themselves back in fear

"W-What is this? Who are you!?" The father demanded as he and the rest of his sadistic family are still gaping at the armored man.

"Me?" When the man spoke, the voice that came out was none other than Haru. "I am Kamen Rider...Eternal."

"E-Eternal?" Aria repeated in confusion and fear though it was mostly the latter. That's when she noticed something. Around Haru's waist was the same strange belt buckle from before and inserted into the slot was the same USB-like device. It was a Gaia Memory. "A Gaia Memory!?"

"That's right." Haru confirmed that inserted into his Lost Driver was his very own Gaia Memory. He then turns to Tatsumi and Ieyasu and asks, "You guys alright?"

Tatsumi nodded. "We're fine. Now go kick their asses!"

"I intend to." Haru said before her twirled his combat knife in his hand and jumped out of the flames before charging towards the family.

Seeing the Rider coming towards them, they snapped out from their stupor and prepared themselves to fight back. But unlike last time, they were clearly outmatched.

Haru approached Aria first when she tries to bash the Rider with her staff, he easily dodges her slow swing and punches her in the gut before giving her a couple of slashes across the chest with his knife.

The mother goes to hit Haru by swinging her arm but the Rider stops it easily by slashing away her Mixer arm. He then gives her a couple of slashes across the chest, making her stumble back in pain, before Haru then delivers a spinning roundhouse kick that sends her flying and crashing through a tree. Haru goes to finish her off but is forced to jump back to avoid another sonic wave from Aria's father.

"Is playing that flute all you can do?" Haru taunted the man-turned Dopant.

"Don't get cocky you brat! How do you like this!?" The Dopant said before he puts way his flutes and then conjures up strings. He then does what its Memory's name suggests as it took control of the dead corpse of all the dead guards as if they were puppets, each picking up their weapons.

"Haha! Now we outnumber you greatly!" The Puppeteer Dopant laughed confidently before swinging his arms at Haru. "Go my Puppets!"

And at his commands, the corpses all charged towards Haru but he wasn't the least bit worried. Since the guards were already dead, killing them again is pointless so there's only one thing to do. Haru goes after the corpse of Gauri first and punches him in the gut, sending him flying and making him drop his sword which Haru then caught. With the new blade in hand, Haru then proceeds to slice off each of the dead guards' legs until they all fall to the ground, useless. The corpse of Gauri got back up at the Puppeteer's command but was soon impaled to a tree by its own sword which Haru had thrown at it.

"Grrr, you're all useless even when dead!" The Puppeteer Dopant growls before he calls back his strings and sends them at Haru.

Once again, Haru was not the least bit worried for he already knew what he had to do. With his free hand, he reached down to the Gaia Memory in his Driver and pulled it out.

'He pulled out his Gaia Memory?' The father thought, confused until he saw Haru insert the Memory into another slot at the side of his belt.

ETERNAL! MAXIMUM DRIVE!

'Maximum Drive?' The Puppeteer didn't know what that was but his instincts told him that it was not good. And he was right.

Crimson red flames appeared on Haru's hands until they completely enveloped his arms and the knife in his right hand. With flames literally in hand, Haru charged forth towards the incoming strings before he swung his knife and sent out a flaming slash that flew forward, burning and destroying the incoming strings. The Dopant instantly knew he was in trouble but he never got the chance to think up a new plan for Haru had already covered the distance between them and then proceeded to give him a total of five flaming slashes across the chest before kicking him away, sending him flying back. And as he flew back, he exploded before everyone's eyes as from the smoke, Aria's father appeared, reverted back to his civilian form as the Puppeteer Memory flew out and into the waiting hands of Haru.

"Honey!" The man's wife cried out worry, having finally picked herself back up from Haru's earlier attacks before she attacks the Rider in rage.

Said Rider didn't even consider her a threat as without looking, he delivered a back kick to her gut, making her stumble back before Haru turned around and sent out a flaming punch to her face before like her husband, she exploded. And from the smoke came the woman separated from her Memory with said Memory flying into Haru's hand.

"Mother!" Aria cried out in worry before glaring over at the Rider in anger. "You bas-kyah!" She never got to finish speaking as Haru had sent another flaming slash towards her and sent her back covered in smoke.

With Aria out of the way for the moment, Haru turns his attention to her mother who was trying to crawl away. She never got far as he grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up. She tries to beg for mercy but Haru's grip, which was still on fire and was thus burning her neck badly, made her scream in pain, making it impossible to speak now.

"Time to pay for your sins." Haru said in a cold, monotone voice before he held up her former Memory, the Gene Memory, and inserted into the Maximum Drive slot.

GENE! MAXIMUM DRIVE!

Stashing his knife away for a moment, the flames covering his right arm disappeared before a strange green aura covered it. Then, faster than a bullet, Haru plunged his hand straight into her gut, making her eyes widen in a pain before she coughed up massive amounts of blood all over Haru but the Rider didn't seem to notice. Haru wasn't done yet for with a twists of his hands, Haru altered the woman's very genes until...

*Splat!*

Her entire lower body popped like a balloon. The woman's eyes went blank, confirming her death, as her insides were left hanging out now that her entire lower body was gone.

"Ugh," Ieyasu and Tatsumi held back the urge to barf. "I know he's pissed but goddamn."

Unfazed by the amount of blood covering him, Haru casually threw away what remained of the woman before setting his sights on the father now who had wet his pants at seeing the fate of his wife. There was even a rather puddle forming under him. If it was any other time, Haru would have laughed at that but didn't as he walked over to the man and picked him up by the neck.

"Please…have mercy!" The man said, fear obviously in his voice.

"Mercy? Sorry, I don't have that anymore." Haru said before he briefly released the man only to catch him by his head. And with the Gene Memory Maximum Drive still going, Haru altered the man's head until just like his wife's lower half, the man's head popped like a balloon as the body fell to the ground, blood oozing out like a fountain. With that now done, Haru then turns to the only remaining family member left who was shaking like a leaf.

"You…You monster!"

Haru let out a scoff. "If I'm a monster, then what does that make you?"

"S-Stay back!" Aria demanded, trying to keep her cool but failed miserably. She tries to use her powers and an aura surrounds Haru's form but to her disbelief, Haru breaks out of the aura with sheer force of will.

'Looks like Queen's powers rely on will power. I'll keep that in mind.' Haru thought as he continued to advance towards Aria who backs away but then trips and falls down pathetically on her butt.

Looking up at the Rider covered head to toe in blood, her family's blood, her vision started to swim until it produced a different image. In place of the Kamen Rider with the fires of the shed in the background to add to its image, she saw before her...a living devil.

"N-No! Get a-a-away! Stay back you...y-you...you goddamn devil!"

Haru sighs at how pathetic Aria was being right now as he removed the Gene Memory and replaced it with his Eternal Memory.

ETERNAL! MAXIMUM DRIVE!

Hearing that confirmation, Aria gets up to her feet as fast as possible and then takes off running but it's pointless. Running after her, Haru jumps up high into the air before he then thrust a flaming foot forward. His foot connected with her back and Aria let's out a ear piercing scream full of pain that Haru guessed people for miles could have heard it before he jumps off and lands on his feet safely. Pointing over to a stunned Aria on the ground, he turns his back to her and gives her a thumbs down while saying...

"Saa, Jigoku o Tanoshimina(Now, Enjoy your Hell)!"

*BOOM!*

With one last scream, Aria explodes and her civilian form flew out of the smoke while her Queen Memory flew out and lands on the ground no too far from her. Aria goes to reach for it only to stop when a bloody foot gets in her way before Haru bends down and picks up the Queen Memory for himself. With the fear of the devil still inside her, Aria tries to crawl away but Haru wasn't about to let her get away as he goes and slams his right foot on her back hard enough to make her give out a pained scream. Then, right before Haru's eyes, she starts to cry.

"Please…don't kill me." Aria begged with tears in her eyes, well eye since Haru cut one of hers earlier.

"Let me ask you something." Haru speaks in a voice that was cold yet filled with burning rage. "How many of the people you tortured, whilst you were gutting them open like animals, asked you not to kill them? Did you let them live!?" He slams his foot on her again, igniting another scream of pain. "Well!?"

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Please, let me live!" Aria begged as some snot was running out of her nose "I'll be a better person, I swear!"

Haru scoffs again at the girl before turning to his friends who were walking over to him. "Well guys? What should we do with her?" It was a bit of a rhetorical question but he thought that if anyone should judge her, it would be one of them.

But suddenly, Ieyasu barfs up massive amounts of blood before he started coughing uncontrollably.

"Ieyasu! Hey, stay with us!" Tatsumi supported his friend who was having a hard time staying up on his feet.

Looking back down at Aria, the girl could tell the Rider was glaring at her through his helmet.

"My friend said your mother drugged him. What type of drug did she use on him?" Haru didn't ask but demanded.

Still fearing for her life, Aria spoke. "My mother used Lubora."

More rage shot through Haru. Lubora was an incurable virus that slowly kills its victim. And from the looks of it, Ieyasu was at the final stages of the virus. There was no saving him.

"Haru..." Haru turned to his friend who was breathing heavily. Gathering as much energy as he could, he looekd up at the Rider and said, "She killed Sayo..." Ieyasu said that with seething rage. Haru knew exactly what his friend wanted. Looking down to the girl, he then spoke words that chilled not only her but his friend's down to their very bones.

"Your neck, the back of your head, your right eye to your other eye to your lip, the right arm, upper arm, wrist, ring finger, the left arm, the elbow and then the thumb, the middle finger, the ribs to the heart, the chest down from the abdomen, the right leg, the right shin, left shin, all the toes from your left foot." Haru listed off as Aria's facial expression horrified the more the Rider went down the list. Then came the big question.

"Where do you want my knife at first?"

"No...no no no! NO!" Aria began to struggle under Haru's foot and managed to get it off of her but Haru bent down and pushed her down while he raised his knife. "YOU CAN'T DO THIS TO ME! YOU BASTARDS, YOU LOW LIVES CAN'T—!"

"Urusai(Shut up)." Haru muttered in a different language before he began cutting up the girl.

Tatsumi did his best to keep his stomach under control as Aria's screams echoed through the night. Then, he caught Ieyasu raising a hand to him and he instantly grabbed it. As much as he wanted to deny it, he knew his friend who he's known since childhood was almost out of time.

"Oi, Tatsumi..." Ieyasu began as he put on the best smile he could muster. "Sayo...she never submitted. No matter how much she was tortured, Sayo never gave into that bitch until the very end. She was so goddamn cool!"

Tatsumi could feel the tears starting to come. And Haru must have overheard Ieyasu for Aria's scream became even louder from what he was doing.

"So for my death...this Master Ieyasu...will also...keep it real...!" And with those last words, while still keeping a smile on his face, Ieyasu took his last breath and the last of his strength left his body forever. Tatsumi tried his best to not let the tears fall but it wasn't easy.

"What the hell...?" Tatsumi began as he looked up into the sky. "What the hell...is with this capital?"

Tatsumi didn't know when Aria's screams stopped but it eventually did and what was left of her sat at Haru's feet. Said Rider was gripping his knife in a death grip before he started moving away.

"Haru?" Tatsumi let out a confused voice as he watch his friend walk away to the mansion. "What are you doing?"

"I'm sending a message." Haru began before turning back to Tatsumi. Said boy shivered at the glow of his friend's visor which glowed in the dark.

"After that..." Haru then turned towards the Royal Palace in the distance. "I'm gonna get some answers. And if I don't like them..." He then raised his hand towards the palace and gave it a thumbs down. "Then this place is going to know what true hell is like!"

(Later)

They moved quickly. With only leaves rustling against their movements, the group moved silently through the night, speeding through as though they were the very silent winds themselves. They had already taken care of the guards surrounding the outer area and now it was time to move to their main target. On a night like many nights before, the assassination group known as Night Raid moved with the intent to draw blood tonight.

This was the plan. Most of the group would stay and draw the attention of the rest of the guards while a few of them would sneak in and take care of their main targets. It was a simple plan, one they knew would work for they've been in this line of work for quite some time.

But when they arrived, they were met with fire.

"What...the fuck?" Spoke a young man with shoulder-length green hair, green eyes and red goggles on top of his head. He wore a long green jacket with a fur-trimmed hood over a white and red ringer shirt and blue jeans with brown shoes.

With him were five other people.

The tallest of the group and most physically stronger if the bulging muscles said anything was covered head to toe in armor. Wearing a white bodysuit, the man wore black boots, armored knee guards, a chest plate, shoulder guards, and a cape that seem to act like a sleeveless jacket. One final thing was the man wore a helmet and had a spear behind his back.

The nest was the shortest of the group, a young girl of below average height. She has very long pink hair tied in twin-tails on the right and left sides of her head and has big pink eyes. She wears a pink outfit, consisting of a tied shawl with a high collar, a pink long sleeve shirt, a gown and black stockings with pink shoes. Over her shoulders was what appeared to be a high tech looking gun.

The second tallest of the group turned out to be the woman who had tried to con Haru and Tatsumi earlier, Leone though her appearance was different now. Her hair is longer and she has lion ears, tail and claws somehow.

Nest is a slender woman with long purple hair and purple eyes. She wears a revealing sleeveless lilac cheongsam with detached lilac arm sleeves and white boots. She also wears glasses and has a small scar on her right cheek right below her right eye. Carrying with her was a giant pair of scissors.

Finally, the last of the group is another young girl with long black hair that reaches down to her knees and red eyes. She wears a dark sleeveless mini dress with a white collar and a red tie; she wears a red belt that has a red side skirt cover. She wears it with long black socks and black shoes. She also wears red gauntlets and black gloves and over her outfit is a long dark coat. In her hands was a sheathed katana.

"This...is not what I expected." Leone commented as she scratched the back of her head. Did I also forget to mansion that she and the rest of the group were standing on a series of wires this they were looking down on the burning mansion from above?

"What the hell happened here?" The pink haired girl exclaimed.

"Did someone from the Revolutionary Army take are of the targets for us?" The purple haired woman asked while tilting her head a little.

"I don't think that's the case. Otherwise we would have been notified." The armored man said with arms crossed.

The red eyed, black haired girl hummed in thought when she spotted something downward. It was a person looking at the flames.

"Someone's down there." She informed her comrades.

Looking down, Leone blinked before she let out a surprised cry.

"Ah! I know that kid!" Leone said before she dropped down from the wires.

"Leone, wait!" The green haired guy called out but the blond was already gone.

"Might as well follow her." The armored man suggested before he along with the others dropped down. Sighing, the green haired teen followed suit. They all landed softly on the ground except for the armored man who landed with a loud bam, alerting the person in front of the burning mansion. Said person was none other than Tatsumi who was carrying Ieyasu's body in his arms.

"Whoa! What the hell!?" Tatsumi cried out in surprise, almost dropping his dead friend, as he turned to the group in surprise. His eyes then widen when he saw the red eyed girl with them and thought back to the shopping trip this morning. If he remembered correctly, the poster said her name was Akame. And if she was with this group then that means...

"You guys are Night Raid." Tatsumi identified the group, placing a hand on the handle of his sword.

"Whoa there, kid! No need to be hostile." Leone said, waving her hands in front of her to calm the teen down.

"Hm?" Tatsumi blinked in confusions and continued to blink until he recognized who he was talking to. "Ah! You're those boobs from earlier!"

"That's right! I'm the beautiful lady from that time!" Leone said with a sickly sweet smile.

"You know this guy?" The green haired teen asked.

"Yeah, he's friends with the guy who gave me the bag of rocks." Leone said in a tone that held a bit of anger. She was still pissed at that.

"Really?" The pink haired girl developed a smile as she thought back to that memory. Leone's face had been priceless.

"So, where is that punk of a friend of yours?" Leone asked before pointing to the burning mansion in the background. "And mind telling us what...happened...oh gods..."

Leone had trailed to a stop when she spotted something within the flames and her comrades soon saw it too and had similar reactions.

Within the burning flames of the mansions were Aria and her parents, or rather what was left of them. Up on a makeshift cross that appeared to be made at the last minute, what was left of the father and mother were tired to the wooden cross. And keeping them in place were the intestines of what used to be Aria. As for said girl or the pieces that used to be her were all hammered into the cross as her head was impaled to the top of the cross, forever stuck in an expression of horror and pain.

"My god..." The armored man commented while the green haired teen and the pink haired girl swallowed down some bile that threatened to puke out. They were all trained assassins yet gruesome stuff like this was not seen everyday here.

The one known as Akame looked away from the scene out of hell and turned to Tatsumi was looking down sadly at Ieyasu in his arms. She could tell that the boy was dead.

"Was he a friend?" Akame suddenly asked.

"Huh?" Tatsumi looked up at Akame, unprepared for the question but answered anyway while looking back to the flames. "Yeah...this family killed him."

"I see." Akame simply said before looking back at the hellish scene and asked, "Who did this?"

Tatsumi bit his lip, not sure if he should say, but the events of tonight had left him questioning everything and his mouth was left unzipped.

"It was my friend." Tatsumi said as he dare not take his eyes off the hellish scene Haru had created in his rage. "He did this."

"You mean that guy..." Leone looked at Tatsumi in surprise before looking back at the flames, finding it hard to believe that Haru was the one who did all this. He seemed like a calm and collected guy who had a good head on his shoulder. Yet pure, raw emotions could be felt from the scene before her. Emotions of pure rage.

"Oi, tell me." Tatsumi spoke up as he turned his sights to Night Raid. "Just what the hell...is going on in this capital?"

The members of Night Raid all looked at one another before Leone stepped forth.

"If you must know, kid...This entire Royal Capital is corrupted."

And...done! Now, I bet you're all surprised that you're getting what can only be a full chapter of one of my future stories. Well, to tell you the truth, when I made this, it was all from a result of boredom. No joke. I got around to reading Hinowa ga Crush and Akame ga Kill Zero and I just felt like working on my future Eternal ga Kill. Now a few things to note for I have changed my mind on a couple of things regarding the story.

One: Story will follow the manga because let's face it, the manga's better than the anime.

Two: Haru will not be replacing Tatsumi and instead will be someone Tatsumi knows and joins him in his adventures.

Three: As you've seen above, Haru does not join Night Raid right away but will later in the story. Let's just say he's going to make a name for himself before he joins Night Raid. Since this is Fanfiction, expect some changes like some added OC's and some original arcs that will spice up the story. I would say more but that would be giving away spoilers.

Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed what is basically the first chapter of Eternal ga Kill! Whether I might make changes when I do finally publish that remains to be seen but for now, it's time I get back to some of my other stories. This has been Ashbel Longhart here, signing out.
