Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha… (where's the emojis when you need them) so, um, yeah. There was a mix up yesterday *winces* where I was supposed to update another story (What if?) and I accidentally posted it here. I'm so sorry to all of you who were put in a confusing situation because of that, but here's todays chapter:

The day was sunny, the birds sang, a burned man fell out of the sky.

Hiccup blinked. What the-

Toothless jumped, pouncing at the man. OK. Because this just happened all the time.

He growled at the man, teeth bared and- wait, what. Toothless had begun to sniff the man before sitting back like an obedient dog waiting for his master, she swore that had he been in dragon form his tail would've been wagging.

The man was just barely conscious. Toothless whispered something she didn't quite catch, before closing the man's eyes, picking him up, and taking him to their house. OK. Nice to know what to do with a complete stranger that fell out of the sky. Now she knew.

She followed them into the house where Toothless placed the man on their bed and started licking the mans wounds. She knew that this was probably something from dragon culture, a healing technique for sure since Nightfury spit had healing qualities, and that she shouldn't be judging, but that didn't make it any less stomach turning.

Then, it seemed, for the first time since the ordeal began, he noticed her.

"Oh, uh, Nightfury saliva has healing properties."

She nodded dumbly, uh, yeah, she already knew that.

"Also, Hiccup, meet my brother. His name is Baldy."

She blinked. What?

Noticing the confused look he laughed.

"No, not one of my clutchmates, rather an older sibling. He was almost fully mature when I was born. Almost. This guy has always and will always be the furthest thing from mature."

Now that she thought about it, the stranger and Toothless did bear a remarkable resemblance. The same handsome face, the man's a little more defined than Toothless's, and the same dark hair, even a similar hairstyle, the same hands, a slightly large height difference (but Toothless hadn't finished puberty), the same nose, the same ears. And she was willing to bet anything that if she pulled back the stranger's eye lids she'd find a pair of green eyes staring back.

He looked at her, "What about you? Do you have any siblings?"

She shook her head, still in shock. Why was Toothless helping him? Didn't he hate everyone in his family or something like that? After all, if the dream she'd had all those weeks ago held any truth, and she'd been informed that they did, then they hated him too.

She got her answer when Toothless, who she noticed had a few tears in his eyes, stroked the man's cheek.

"He was the only one who cared about me. Then again, he was only just the shortest bit away from being a runt. Definitely the smallest in his clutch. He was probably the one that sparked my interest in humans. He had a friend in one of the villages. Her name was Carly."

"Did she know?"

"I hope so, otherwise she'd be the least observant girl in the world. He sucks at keeping secrets."

"I see that runs in the family," she teased.

He let out a dry chuckle, "You'd be surprised."

She smiled, "And what happened to the girl?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. I'm afraid I made quite a few bad choices in my life. One of the biggest ones was my desire to prove myself to my family. I joined the Red Death. He begged me not to go. I never saw him again."

She nodded, smiling. He paused, before sniffing his brother a little.

"Wait, nevermind, he still smells like her and- yup. They're mates."

She laughed. Oh the things Toothless could smell.

.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the middle of nowhere- nah, lol. She was in Peaceable territory. A DIVINE WIND raced through the trees. She'd wished she'd been the one to go to Berserker territory because, uh, adventure, but her accomplice had insisted that it wouldn't be a good idea. Something about how she'd been captured before and how she'd be 'too easy to recognize'. She'd waved it off as a good-natured rivalry, but he'd insisted. Some people just didn't get the point of adventure.

She was waiting for her messenger hawk, Stormfly, to arrive with a message from said accomplice. He was bigger, than her, brawnier, like a THUG, but that didn't mean he wasn't wise, no. Far from it. He was a wise, and humble boy-turning-man whom she knew would bring his village great honor in time.

But that would be then, this was now. And in the present moment she was cursing the man's name and wishing him a rather GORY death. Teach him to check out the Beserker islands without her.

She sighed as she crossed another island off her list.

There were another hundred islands in the territory, it would take her a week at best to check them out. This was hopeless. She wanted danger, and she wanted it now!

But most importantly she wanted to find the person they were looking for. Make sure that they were safe!

The person's father had barely spoken a word about them and she just wanted to know. Know how her sister was, what she was doing. She knew that was the reason her accomplice was also searching, for the three had once upon a time been best-friends before the incident and- dammit she wasn't supposed to say it was a girl! Focus, Cami- dammit.

She hopped on her little boat. She, of course was doing this alone. No one was supposed to know what she'd been doing. After what had happened, her father declared that anyone who had any knowledge on her and didn't inform him immediately was a traitor to Berk and would be accused of treason. And here was thing, she didn't want to give the girl's location away once she found her. That was what best-friends did, right? They kept each other's secrets, they encouraged each other.

Plus, if what she heard about what had happened was true, her father truly didn't deserve to know where she was anyways. She was adamant about him never finding the girl, though she knew he'd sent several secret search parties out to find her, searching all of the Berk islands. It had helped them, because she and her accomplice didn't need to check any of those islands. :) (but they were going to check again if they couldn't find her anywhere else, because she didn't trust Stoick to do a good enough job.).

Unfortunately, she was too busy thinking about trivial things to realize that she ran into a trap.

She was hoisted into the air via net. She reached around for a knife, but to no avail, for it had dropped to the ground while she'd been lifted up.

She struggled. Come on! She was a Bog! They were supposed to be good at getting out of situations like this! She was so thankful at the moment that none of the other girls had come with her, or else she'd never live this down.

She struggled some more before deciding she'd probably get further by undoing the knots herself… right?
