Chapter 36
The next afternoon, Allison and Colby said good-bye to her parents and siblings. As Allison was saying good-bye to her mom, sisters, and brothers, Ethan pulled Colby aside to talk to him.
"I want to personally thank you for coming out here this weekend with Alli," Ethan said.
"It was no problem," Colby said. "I enjoyed myself. Alli especially enjoyed herself."
"Well, I think with you here it was that much more enjoyable for her."
Colby nodded his head.
"I know the first time we met it was a bit awkward, because Jeremiah and I brought up the hotel room scenes from SmackDown."
"Yeah," Colby said.
"I know my daughter and niece are both grown women, but as fathers we did not like seeing those scenes."
"I get it."
"We realize that that was just the four of you doing your job."
"Yeah, we were just doing our job."
"Yes, but Jeremiah and I know yours and Jonathan's relationships with our daughters is more than what we see on TV. We know that our daughters are more than just pieces of ass to the both of you!"
"Um…" Colby said as he trailed off.
Ethan shook his head with a smile. "Jeremiah and I are very protective over both Allison and Samantha, because they have both been played a few times. We don't like that!"
"I have no intention of playing any games with your daughter's heart! I love her! I know it has only been about a month since Allison and I have been together, but I hope to be with her for a long time. I can't speak for Jon about his relationship with Samantha, but I can say this: he loves her."
Ethan smiled. "Yes, I know you love my daughter and I know she loves you. Ryan told me what you said to him. But I also know my daughter is love by the way she talks about you. She's very happy with you."
"And I'm very happy with her."
"Do one thing for me?"
"Sure."
"Take care of her!"
"I do. I'm very protective of her whenever we go to nightclubs or bars. There are a lot of creeps out there."
Ethan smiled. "Make sure Jon takes care of Samantha."
"He does. I promise your daughter and niece are in good hands. Not to mention if they wanted they could probably kick our butts if they wanted."
Ethan laughed.
"All right, Ethan," Denise said. "Let's let these two head out."
"All right," Ethan replied.
Allison smiled. She gave her parents one more hug and a kiss good-bye. "Love you both."
"Love you too, sweetie," Denise said.
"Call us or text one of us letting us know that you made it back to Tampa okay," Ethan said.
"I will." Allison got one more hug from my parents and siblings and then she and Colby headed off.
"So what was my dad talking to you about?" Allison asked once they were on the road.
"About our relationship, along with Jon and Sami's," Colby replied.
"Why?"
"Your dad knows that we're all in love. I flat out told him that I love you and that Jon loves Samantha."
Allison smiled.
"He asked me to take care of you and make sure Jon does the same with Samantha."
Allison's smile, brightened.
An hour and half later, the two made it back safely to Allison's and Samantha's apartment in Tampa. After they got settled in, they changed into workout clothes and headed to the gym. After the gym, they went back to the apartment and showered. While Colby showered, Allison made them some dinner. She made them something easy: macaroni and cheese.
"Just in time," Allison said as Colby walked into the kitchen. "Dinner's ready."
"And what extravagant meal did you make for us?" Colby asked.
"My specialty, Kraft Mac and cheese."
Colby chuckled. "Sounds good."
Allison smiled.
A few minutes later, the two sat down at the kitchen table to eat.
"It's so quiet here without Sami and Jon," Allison said. "I'm not used to it."
"It's nice," Colby said.
"It is. As much as I love them both. I like the quiet."
"Yes, but tomorrow you'll be very happy to see Sami tomorrow."
"You got right. I'm reunited with my tag team partner and partner in crime."
"You have partners in crime everywhere."
"Yes, I do. There's Sami, Lauren, and Justin."
"Yes, you love Lauren as much as you love Sami, don't you?"
"I love all my cousins the same, except for those cousins that are the kids of my Uncle Nick and Uncle Alan."
"Why is that?"
"For as long as I can remember, they were never really nice to me. I think I wanted to play and tag along with them and Andy when were kids, but they didn't like that. Andy loved me. He loved having a little girl cousin, because he loved having a little sister (Lauren). Lauren always included me in everything whenever she would play. Sometimes I would just want to hang out with Andy, though. He was like my big brother. He treated me like his little sister, even though I was just his cousin."
Colby smiled. "Well, I loved meeting your cousins and going out to dinner with them. I look forward to meeting your dad's other sister, her husband, and their kids."
Allison smiled. "This whole weekend was great. Thank you again for about the hundredth time coming with me."
Colby chuckled. "You're welcome. I had a lot of fun. I got to spend some time with my girlfriend and meet part of her family."
"I had fun too."
Colby smiled.
The two finished dinner and then Allison did the dishes. After she was done with the dishes, she went into the bedroom to relax with Colby.
Samantha smiled as she walked down the hall of the arena. She came to the Shield's locker room and knocked on the door.
"It's open," Jonathan shouted.
Samantha opened the door and walked into the locker room. "Hey guys," She said.
"Hey baby."
"Hi Sami," Joe said.
Samantha smiled. She walked over to Jonathan and sat down on his lap, even though, there was a free chair next to him. Jonathan smiled as he wrapped his arms around her. He didn't mind her sitting on his lap, though. He liked having her close.
"Are you excited Allison and Colby will be back tomorrow?" Joe asked.
"Yes," Samantha said. "I can't wait to see Allison. I'm excited my partner in crime will be back. We get to annoy all three of you again."
"You don't annoy me when you come in here," Jonathan said. "I like it when you come to visit. I have especially liked it this weekend without Allison and Colby. It's been fun, because we've gotten rid of him a few times."
Samantha smiled. "Remind me again how we did that."
"By doing this," Jonathan said, kissing her passionately. Samantha smiled against his lips and returned the kiss. She wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I will be so glad when Colby and Allison are back tomorrow!" Joe said. "That way you two will lighten up on the make out sessions."
Jonathan pulled away from Samantha's lips. "Yeah, I don't see that happening."
"Nope," Samantha said. "I think we should just keep on kissing just to annoy him."
"I do too," Jonathan said. He went back to kissing her. Samantha smiled against his lips. She pulled away from his lips. He gave her a look. Samantha smiled. She stood up. She climbed back into his lap, straddling his waist. She wrapped her arms around his neck and went back to kissing him. Jonathan smiled against her lips.
"Oh, for Pete's sake!" Joe said.
Jonathan and Samantha kept right on kissing.
