AN: Hey guys, sorry again about the delay. University is busy, who'd have thought? Oh well, I started applying the some methods that I've learned in writing class. Hope it doesn't change my style too much. If you notice what it is, tell me in a review. I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Ps. I don't own Soul Eater

Wrong, wrong was the only way Kyle could describe the atmosphere in the plane. Alex's absence was definitely felt. The group radiated a strange combination of gloom and anxiousness, the lack of the carefree nature Alex displayed, intensified these feelings within them. "You guys should get ready to jump!" The pilot called to the group.

Benjamin looked at his weapons, the people he grew up with, his brothers, not by blood, but by soul. "I don't need to say anything, we know what must be done. But, I want to put that all aside and just remind you two of the great debt I owe you and your family. So if it comes to it, I will make sure that if one of us dies, it will be me." He said to them. They wanted to object, but he grabbed a parachute and jumped out of the plane.

"Keira, don't worry, we'll get your friend back." Cleaver said to Keira and followed suit after his new rival (Cleaver felt the need to compete and Benjamin was unanimously his biggest competition)

"Victoria..." Kyle started. He wanted to continue but she stopped him before he could say anything. She pulled him in violently and their lips met. He could feel everything in the kiss, the soft texture of her perfect lips, the warmth and affection that made her lips move like they did and the restraint she was displaying by not intensifying it, almost as if unsure about his reaction. Kyle decided to let go and let his own feelings return the favour. They stood there allowing their lips to dance an unfamiliar dance to them. Neither of them wanted to stop, but they both knew they had to. As they pulled away Victoria blushed a bright red. "We can talk and finish that date once we're done here, okay?" She said, reddening even more.

She grabbed his hand and leapt from the plane with him, giving him what might be their final kiss mid air before deploying her chute. They landed near the forest and started making their way in. Every step Keira took made her more aware of the malicious presence lingering in the air. A soul was in here, and it somehow felt familiar. "Guys, I think we might have company." She said. Benjamin looked at her and smiled. "Good." He said while cracking his neck.

The group wandered in, using Keira as a radar, guiding them to the soul. All was going well until they reached a cave. "The soul is in there, but I can't figure out where." She said. "Leave it to me. Keira, shove me into the ground, Benjamin, strike my head." They did as he asked, not fully understanding, but trusting him. They waited a minute or two before Cleaver spoke up. "Got it, just follow my directions. What, didn't I tell you I am also a sonar?"

The group decided to trust Cleaver and started to follow their hulking teammate. They could tell that they were nearing something, nothing good unfortunately. For Keira, it was the feeling of an evil soul, for the others, it was the stench of rotting flesh. "Keep your guard up, one of them is definitely here." Benjamin warned.

"Was that... Benjamin? It was! Hooooo the witch has rewarded me. She kept to her word!" A strangely familiar voice hooted. "Just around the corner." Cleaver said softly. "I know you're there. The witch allows me to hear everything." The group charged in, but stopped dead in their tracks after they saw their foe.

The bloody figure stood facing away from them. The arrogant stance added to the familiarity. They waited for him to turn. He eventually did, but it was only his head. After it turned a full 180 degrees, they realised that their enemy was Richard.

"Listen, out of respect for your previous title as meister of the DWMA, I will allow you to live and face a fair trial IF you stand down and tell us where our meisters are." Benjamin said, wasting no time getting to the point. The person who stood before him deserved nothing as merciful as a trial, but time was ticking by and Benjamin knew that every second counted.

"Hooooo and why would I do that? I wasn't born yesterday, Benji, I know you'll try and pin what happened to the nurse on me. Besides, I have been Itching to get back at not only you, but the rest of you pathetic elites for a very very long time and hoooo am I ready." Richard replied with hoots between his words.

"Who mentioned the nurse? We didn't. Buddy, you just pinned the guilt on yourself. Now listen, you're outnumbered three to one and you don't even have a weapon." Cleaver pointed out.

"Hooo you see, that's where you're wrong. I have a weapon. So why don't you say hello, Leon?" Richard asked his weapon, who was nowhere to be seen. Richard started turning his head slowly back to where it should be. The group simply stared as another face seemed to form on the back of his head.

"Leon!" Kyle yelled, recognising him first. Leon seemed to have merged with Richard, possibly due to a sick experiment performed by the witch. The group stared in horror at their former classmate's petrified expression of a mix of pain and fear.

"Dear Death! What have they done? This is crossing the line. Benjamin, their souls have merged- or I should say that Leon's soul was absorbed by his meister. Therefore; Richard, you have strayed from the path of humanity. Your crimes are punishable by one thing and one thing alone; death." Keira said.

This familiar sentence had sent Richard into a rage. He produced spikes all over his body. "Don't think you can judge me, bitch, I will end all of your pathetic lives and then absorb your weapons just as I did my own! I will become unstoppable and Even that jerk Connor will fear me! HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"

"This guy is off of his rocker. He's also a clear threat, so let's go, Keira!" Cleaver exclaimed. Keira reacted immediately and charged forward while effortlessly swinging the sledgehammer around. Kyle and Victoria followed suit and joined in on the speedy assault on their former classmate.

Benjamin had decided to take a less aggressive approach and observe before attacking. Richard displayed traits that made him seem like a growing threat. None of his hits had made direct contact with either of his meisters yet, but the spikes on his body prevented them from landing any clear blows. The spikes also grazed their skin a few times, causing some bleeding even though none of the hits were direct. He seemed to have an extreme awareness of his surroundings and appeared to be able to see what's going on around him without having to see.

"There are still a few things I don't understand...I'll have to meditate on it." Benjamin said thinking aloud. He sat down and started concentrating.

The other two meisters were on the ropes and seemed to be struggling to hold off the onslaught presented by Richard. With each swipe towards them, he grew in confidence, realising that he was in control. He increased his attack speed and started hooting with joy, celebrating what he believed to be his victory.

"Benjamin, could you stop meditating and help us take down this fucking owl already!" Kyle yelled at his leader.

Owl... Wait, THAT'S IT!

Benjamin stood up, ready to go. "SOUL RESONANCE!" He shouted. His gauntlets started glowing, smiling at the result he achieved. "Purgatory mode." He said with a sadistic smile. He clapped his gauntlets together, resulting in a loud metallic shriek. Richard covered his ears instantly and fell to the ground. He writhed around a bit until the shrieking subsided.

He weakly pushed himself up, but fell down onto his knees again. Blood was flowing from his ears, indicating that he had burst his eardrums. He looked up at Benjamin, now standing in front of him. "Time for you to be purged from this earth." He said. Richard looked pleadingly at Benjamin, but Benjamin had no mercy to show. He grabbed Richard by the face and held him up into the air.

Screaming could be heard as a blindingly bright light was emitted from Benjamin's gauntlets. The light first engulfed Richard and then the rest of the room. The screaming seemed to stop as the light had filled the room. When the light died down, Benjamin held a Kishin egg in his hand, and Richard was no more.

"How?" Was all Kyle managed to ask. Dumbfounded by the display of deadliness he just witnessed.

"Owl's have sensitive hearing, so I have you to thank for that, Kyle. And purgatory mode was taught to me by Justin. Now let's go, Limo is waiting." Benjamin said, casually making the his way towards the exit of the cave as if nothing happened.
